As far as the perk challenges go, they DID say that any required perks could be found on the shrine, as in if theres a challenge that requires haunted ground, you can GUARANTEE haunted ground will be on the shrine.
-
I would get severe tunnel vision and chase 1 survivor for extended amounts of time. My goal was to break EVERY pallet on the map, and I would take the EXACT pathing the survivors took, vaulting every window instead of going around, ect.

What do you think about these suggested changes listed off at 8:40.
-
Easiest way to get MoM to proc would be to build a time machine and travel back before the nerf. Getting that perk to work NOW is pretty unlikely, lol.
-
IMO, its not nearly as OP as people make it out to be considering your NOT using charge speed addons which greatly help LAND the hatchets. Instead of doing double charge speed and having 5 easy to land hatchets, your working with 3 normal speed hatchets. As far as the thought of being able to down 3 ppl before reloading... By that logic, leather loop and infantry belt is REALLY OP since you have enough hatchets to down the entire team as long as you can land every shot.

Remember that you can still be matched with Survivors up with a difference in ranks up to six. This is still within the parameters of being matched against the highest ranked Survivor in the SWF.
I figured it would only actually GET to that far of a lvl difference after its been searching for awhile. This lot was picked up within a minute.

She has a few giveaways that better than me survivors can notice: her shards on her body glows (other cosmetics could cover this), her animation altogether resets, and if she's using the original hairstyle it's super obvious. Here's a few timestamps where you can try to catch a few of these. Sadly I couldn't find any where it was straight out fake-phasing at a safe pallet:
an old vid where you can see it at the pallet after the timestamp: https://youtu.be/0MfQzRb484E?t=467
another (watch her hair specifically on this one): https://youtu.be/ovKUtWmKscU?t=369
animation reset (watch the real phase instead of the fake out one): https://youtu.be/-iwTQODwXEc?t=91
That last one looks almost like a glitch with the video recording.

On the bright side, with the way all the killers are playing Spirit now it just proves the point that she needs to be nerfed, and that the issue is more than just prayer beads like we all thought and she actually needs a base kit nerf. So way to go toxic killers, you are bringing it on yourselves.
Honestly dont get why prayer beads keeps being the focus. I get gen grabs are a thing, but they dont help at all DURING the chase since they only nullify an effect that is played while outside TR. If your probably with the killer is the chase... Prayer beads isnt the only issue.

Would pairing spinechill with it be worth it do you think?
-
Pretty sure they get told because even with no tokens, they still have the added regression effect. Maybe make it warn them after the first FAILED skillcheck? As far as the extra skillchecks thing goes, that can backfire if the survivor is any good at hitting greats.
-
You disarm Freddys snares the same way you disarm Trapper's traps. You do it while outside of a chase with him, lol. Your never going to disarm beartraps midchase, and if you want to disarm snares OUT of chase, just step in it.

Currently watching a Pig main do just fine while running Brutal str, enduring, monitor and whispers... no addons atm. After watching this man do well from basic movements...

No movement speed penalty during the charge of his shock, increased blocked interactions from 1.3 to 1.8 or 2 seconds if possible and moldy electrode range for base kit. Would like to see an add-on that decreases charge time as well.
All of this would be nice, but thought I should note that his current time for blocking interactions from a shock is 2.5 seconds.
-
Its doable with time and experience. You just cant approach junglegyms strait on, you need to mindgame a little. Little fakeouts that suggest your reacting to a vault at a TL wall, but then...not. This is one reason why I cant stand simple pallet loops that are COMPLETELY visible. Currently watching a pig main streamer that doesnt use ANY slowdown perks and completely decimating, just due to simple movements around jungle gyms and such.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzLQ5RahEF0Heres an example game, but I definitely suggest checking this guy out on twitch if you havent before.

seriously it takes alot of mental fortitude to not dc as a survivor on hawking. any anti looping killer aka clown doc spirit etc makes life miserable on that map just due to bloodlust/their abilities. its unfun and its skilless. sure balanced landing can be decent on there but eventually they WILL get you. looping/mind gaming isnt skill anymore with these layouts. its just hold W as a killer and stack bloodlust.
Bloodlust goes away when Doc and Clown use their powers. Thats the case for most killers.
-
This is crazy salty behavior though. Wish everyone would just learn to take the good games with the bad.
-
Your comment about Freddy mains bein a prick called me here...lol
-
Alot of times, If I'm completely stomping a team... I might end up getting butter fingers all of a sudden (darn popcorn) and lose my grasp on a survivor, followed my quickly getting distracted and losing SIGHT of said survivor. If that survivor then managed to unhook or pick up downed teammates...oh noooooo.
If a survivor team manages to stomp ME that quickly, its probably due to me freshly learning a killer and not knowing how to play them yet, or as some might say...I need to Git Gud.
-
Didnt even know this was possible, but this IS Dead by buglight. Taking advantage of bugs for personal interest IS bannable, with many ppl who have deliberately abused glitches in the past been punished. The glitch that let you prestige your character without dropping down to lvl 1 after that was around at the beginning of this year currently comes to mind.
-
Between the hatchet hitbox not looking hatchet shape, and the odd hitboxes of alot of the objects in the maps...Hatchets will often hit survivors that look like they SHOULDVE missed, or hit objects that look like they shouldve gone past.
As far as killer M1 attacks go though...those are all identical, and just abit of an illusion caused by killer and weapon size.

It was just put in there listing slow down mechanics. Yes you wouldn't use it on her as people don't heal and it doesnt work with vomit so its pointless.
Oh, ok...SUPER sweaty build then would have to be Sloppy butcher, Coulrophobia, Nurses calling and just incase they somehow make it to the end and you REALLY wanna be sweaty...NOED.
-
@twistedmonkey said:
Because its not a fun mechanic.
Imagine stacking it with dying light, thana, sloppy etc it could just end up being pointless trying to do things and you would be forced to cleanse.
Cleansing is a choice and not forced due to you either staying injured putting yourself at more risk or making her more powerful.
Why would you ever use sloppy butcher on her?
-
If you want the game to be darker for "atmosphere", you can always just adjust your own display settings.

Last year we got serum from getting the juice from those gross squishy plants and by hooking survivors on the gross squishy hooks. Any reason why this year its instead behind completing challenges in the rift instead of just through gameplay.
Imo it was more interactive and fun last year and more incentive to play the game during that certain time period. I'm just curious as to why it's now different and will future events also be a part of the rift?
Probably to prevent people from trolling. On one end, you had people who would farm plants as soon as they loaded in, then find the killer to suicide on first hook and repeat. Youd also have people who would sabo every event hook they could, just to be petty.

Slugging someone when i see the last person is fair game them dcing is just being unsportsman like the point is dcing is a problem regardless.
Thats typically when I do it, but you'll have others thatll just search the map for the next half an hour, refusing to kill the husk.
-
I wonder if the husk system will allow the killer to see that the survivor has DCed. I can only imagine killers who are use to slugging the 3rd to find the 2nd, to just...leave a husk up so it wont bleedout...INFINITE TIME TO FIND THAT LAST GUY!!!

I was running premonition, probably you both are correct, spinechill is the way to go vs him.
Premonition can give you information if the killer is nearby, but... Often times, theyll be busy chasing someone else and had no intent on coming to you. This'll just leave you with a feeling of paranoia until the cooldown is done and you can use the perk again to see that theyve left the area. Spinechill on the other hand will let you know when the killer has his intention locked on your location. Simply wait for it to light up and STAY lit up for afew seconds. It'll turn off and on when the killer is chasing someone nearby, but itll STAY on when the killer is walking to you.
-
Spinechill is one of my go-tos. Using that, you can pretty much pump out gens in peace, and disappear should a killer start making his way toward you.

Azarov's Resting Place can be disgustingly Survivor-sided in late-game if the Exit Gates are on opposite ends.
There's complaints about Exit Gates being too close, which I find a valid complaint.
But let's not pretend this map can do too much of the opposite.
They should let them be able to spawn in the narrow middle part.
I actually LOVE that map when playing killer. The narrowed spot acts as a bottle neck for survivor movement. Hook a survivor on one side of the map and see the other 3 on the opposite side...One of em HAS to come through that bottle neck for the save, which is pretty easy to spot. Also, because the pallet distribution typically only spawns 3 or 4 pallets at each end, if you choose to just favor one side, you can quickly get rid of survivor defenses and create huge dead zones.

The devs had planned immediate time-outs for players who dc too often for somewhen after dedicated servers are live.
Since dedicated servers are still not working properly, we will have to wait for this.
I honestly doubt thatll do anything, but cause ppl to change how they immediately leave the game. Someone who wants to ragequit after being found and hooked too fast will still cause their teammates to suffer a 3V1 game by just suiciding and moving onto the next game. The only plus side is the killer gets his BBQ stack, but that match will be just as scraped as it is now.

I suppose, and perhaps hard bans aren't the answer. But something needs to be done. Almost every game now has a DC. Whether I'm playing as survivor or killer.
While I cant stand rage quitters, the only thing that actually punishing DCers would do is have them shift to suiciding on first hook instead. Its pretty much the same result, but dodging the consequences. Ive had ppl come find me, so they could give up and suicide at the start of the match because they didnt like the killer/map/whatever. Last time this happened...I just left the guy slugged on the floor. I'll gladly waste 4 minutes of his time if he wants a quick out.

I agree with everything except Billy being worse than Freddy , you're pushing it a little on that one , sure Freddy has map pressure now but you can't disregard the insta down and better map pressure he offers compared to Freddy
Billy is more map dependant on that map pressure. Put him in Hawkins for instance and see how long it takes him to pressure the gen upstairs, lol.
-
Snares hands down, no comparison. With fake pallets...youll get hits at fake pallets. With snares, youll get hits at REAL pallets. All "infinites" in the game, like the ironworks window, immediately dies.
-
I generally slug a freshly unhooked survivor and chase the unhooker whenever possible. Alot of your gameplay is going to drastically change based off the killer you pick. Your low TR as Myers isnt worth a thing if the survivors see you coming a mile away for example, so try to approach a gen while keeping something like a tree or a rock between you and a possible survivor, instead of walking out in the open.
-
Its always fun when survivors get abit too cocky, just for a sudden swing to make the game come to a sudden end. Had a game last night against a 4 man SWF, 2 using OoO, as Myers. 2 Gens were done, my ruin popped and Im finally getting my first hook...rough game so far. These guys got cocky though which resulted in me slugging 2 of em by the hook and chasing the 4th with all the time in the world to down him.
-
DCing or suiciding early just results in a ruined game for 4 other people.
-
Reminds me of THIS game, where I had 3 ppl DC within 10 seconds of the game starting. The 2k points I got though sure made up for everything...

I have not, ive been sparred from the dedicated servers since i play on ps4 and I also dont have myers unlocked (yet.)
But i do get on the forums enough to follow and read peoples frustration with bugs on pc or the dedicated servers themselves (or lack of issues for others)
I do believe i just read about the myers t3 bug though
I posted about it afew minute ago. Its abit frustrating, lol. Havent been having a whole lot of problems with the servers, but playing Myers kinda highlighted afew. The T3 thing was annoying, and I tried afew scratched mirror games as well. Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to inch closer and closer as T1 Myers, only to rubberband back? GAHHHHHH!

While an unranked mode can work out on games like Overwatch...I dont see it working out here. The reason I say this is because on Overwatch, both teams are EQUALLY a mixed bag of players from different ranks. You cant really do that on DBD when one of the "teams" only has 1 player. An experienced killer like myself would simply slaughter every "mixed bag" group of survivors who goes against me.
-
@InfinyMage said:
I appreciate it. If i do run into again, im afraid I'll have to take an extended break from DBD. Ive played this on and off for years but had never seen something like that in any of those times and there have been constant bugs that have plagued this game but that was something else. I dont wish it it anyone. My nerves are shot and i dont have it in me to game anymore for the rest of the night lol.
I get it. Ive only had it happen AGAINST me once, and I thought it was probably a hacker too. Afew days later, happened TO me. I havent seen it happen all that often. I main killer, so Id notice if it was happening every game or so.
Currently dedicated servers have brought all sorts of bugs...
Have you played Myers? lol

@[Deleted User] said:
I don't play on PS4, but from what I've heard, this is a very rare bug that exists in that version of the game.
Its on PC too. Ive had it happen to me.
@InfinyMage said:
If the developers are aware that its a bug then they wont punish the player for something he had no control over. I specified that it might have been a bug since it wasnt present at the start of the match or at the end as far as i was aware. But on the chance it may have been someone abusing or hacking I submitted it. They should be better equipped to determine stuff like that on their end (i would asume)
Just letting you know its a thing atm. When it happened to me, was mid-match. I got unhooked, and for some reason was the flash. I didnt even have an exhaustion perk equiped...
-
@InfinyMage said:
I sure did. How do I report them? Ive never had to report anything before in my years playing this game and i would very much appreacite a point in the right direction because these kinds of players who do things like that kill any resembles of fun or fairness.
Might wanna hold off on that report. ATM theres a bug going on that applies the equivalent of an infinite sprint burst. Had it happen to me on PTB, and Ive seen it happen to a buddy of mine on the live version. Didnt do anything special to activate it, and I couldnt figure out how to make it stop when it happened to me. My buddy finally got it to stop after falling from a high place.
Point being... This might not have been intentional at all.

Had a game the other day, the guy were in swf and completely destroyed me.
They even let me attack them at the gate because of how much of a stomp it was.
After the game the guy send me a message saying "im soooo sorry u experienced that"
So you know... nice people still exist :)
Alot of times ppl let you attack them for points. You get points for getting hits, and they each get points for escaping a chase.

It used to reduce the wind up by 40 % back in the day.
Manna Grass Braid (reduced it by 10 % once) and Flower Babushka (20 %)
+ old Tinkerer which reduced Addon charge time by 10 % = 40 % less wind up which was insane.
They still stack but you only get a 20 % decreased wind up cuz the Addons got nerfed.
8 % Manna Grass and 12 % Flower Babushka.
Wouldnt that have been 50% if tinkerer was affecting BOTH addons? I never got to use this combo, but Ive seen videos.

As someone who plays Huntress as their "go to" killer, they without a doubt do stack.
A lot of people say you can't heal past +100% bonus healing speed too, but that's also false. People just read We'll Make It's description wrong.
Good to know. This combo is my go-to for when I wanna be sweaty on Huntress and not whip out instadowns, lol. Tbh...I dont see how inidescent head+infintry belt is any more "sweaty" than this combo. 2 Hatchets are pretty easy to hit with these puppies.
-
Typically if I have a bad game, and the survivors CLEARLY outplayed me... I go ahead and say my GGs and compliment individuals. "Dang Feng, you did REALLY good". It quickly becomes a dick move for anyone to be such a bad sport. You'll sometimes see their own teammates turn on them for being rude.
Yesterday, I had a game where all 4 survivors were still alive by the time the last gen popped, but I managed to down someone in the basement... This kept turning into abunch of trades until EVENTUALLY... they all managed to get out of there. I managed to down and kill a Laurie on the run to the gates however. That Laurie immediately started throwing shade for "camping", something I didnt do AT ALL until that basement situation after the gens were done. I like to think it was because of my GOOD sportsmanship that his own teammates told him to STFU.
-
@Peanits any input you can give on this?
