When will Pig get the love she deserves? I'm tired of all the Soft Nerf's shes had. When will she become more fluid in her movements, addons reworked, terror raduis reduced back to normal, etc?
Seriously just answer it the people want to know.

I keep reading it all over the forums: "NOED is such a crutch perk because it rewards the killer for being bad", and I believe this can't be further from the truth.
You, as a killer, can play good and still have the 5 gens completed, specially if you're using low-tier characters.
NOED doesn't rewards the killer for playing bad, it penalizes bad survivor gameplay.
Another thing some people have been asking is for a totem counter on the HUD, this wouldn't just be a big nerf to NOED but also a buff to gens. Because if the counter reachs zero, no one will spend time searching for totems and they instead will do gens. And we have enough of gens speed complaints already right?
NOED is not a crutch perk nor an OP one, just cleanse the totems. :)
Think is NoeD is a great perk that survivors fall victim to, but the problem is that the vast majority of killers who use it are bad and it rewards them for failure. I rarely if ever see a good killer use NoeD why is that? Even at rank 1 I hardly see any killer use it.
So NoeD is in fact a great perk used by bad killers.

He mentions it in a few of his vids but the vomit has a left tilting arc so whatever you're aiming at you have to aim a little to the right of it. If you aim at it directly you will miss.

You know what? I legitimately totally forgot it used to be that way. Ruddy hell, the 'Where Did They Go?' trophy was a bit easier then.
It guaranteed survivors had to have at least complete 2 gens for 1 to escape which helped cooperate to a degree. Rewarded the killer for doing well.
Nowadays if something goes wrong early people either DC to give hatch or go stealth and play that way till the last survivor for hatch or door.

I really wish I could play Plague like him despite my lack of interest in her, but I just cant land that vomit for the life of me and he makes her look incredibly fun.

Maybe keep mori as it is but have the hatch spawn after 2 complete gens.

This way we can finally delete tunneling and make decisive strike more impactful to those who tunnel rather than a one time minor inconvenience
- On the condition that as soon as another person is hooked your DS deactivates till you get unhooked again.
- As soon as another person is unhooked all other DS deactivate, but that one person's.
- Last remaining survivor has there DS automatically deactivated.
- You get a active DS every time you are unhooked unless you miss the skill check.
With these it will allow a infinite timer so even if your tunneled you can activate it after x amount of time. You get punished for failure to hit the skill check. Also if the killer does not tunnel DS is worthless. Last survivor will never have DS so it wont be as punishing if someone YOLO saves you last second for a switch.

NOED is balanced and doesn't need a rework. It's a hex perk. Just do bones. It's one of the those perks that's stronger at low rank, where survs don't know how to play against it, but that doesn't make it op. If you really want to hard counter it, run small game. NOED is only strong if you're so determined to sit on a gen that you neglect everything else.

Her phase walk can't be heard over short distances and this makes her practically impossible to loop since you don't see her.
This is too annoying. I always ask people if they can hear and they say yes, but in my game I can only hear her if she is far away. When she's near it's almost impossible to hear her
Don't loop her she was designed to have the strongest chase potential outside of blinking through objects. If you do your just waiting to die.

No she isnt. I looped a Spirit for a good 3 minutes last night without using Iron Will, Spine Chill, or any other Spirit countering perks.
I actually do this quite consistently. She isnt impossible. But I recommend Spine Chill and Iron Will for learning to counter Spirit.
These also aren't just niche perks. These are both really good perks that are ranked mid to high tier.
Smart people are rare in this community I give u my props for learning how to deal with her.

Whats really frustrsting for me is ungratefuleness/stupidity when as the killer im trying to farm, which i only initiate if there is a dc after 0-1 gens being done, or there is more than one streamer/gateau in play. Some survivors,no matter how many times you drop them off your shoulder and whack generators, they are either too stupid or trying to be aholes, and keep acting like its a fight. In this case I usually end up killing said survivor, and, everyone else gets loads bps.

@Blueberry said:

Yeah I can agree with most of all that.
"Spirit is imho one of few killers who are truly balanced extremely well."
This is why I think she should be the balance point they aim all killers for.
A lot of the balance issues come down to poor map design. Loops are too strong and numerous but at the same time survivors are too reliant on them as they have no real other means of escape. A proper map rework would allow less reliance on loops to survive which would in turn allow them to be weakened and reduced in amount. This shift in what determines if a killer is good or not would completely flip the killer tier list without even touching the killers themselves.
Without loops being the determinant factor all the sudden you see all the top tier chase killers drop in power tremendously.
I think the map reworks and the continued creation of pallet value and unsafe loop quantity or quality loops is a way to start this system. With the reworked maps and the new one I noticed safe looks are closer to the center while outside loops are dangerous.
Honestly top tier or not I would like Killers to directly be balanced before Nerfs and or Buffs be applied to other killers.

Her RBTs give you time which in turn gives you gate keeper points along with pressure so yea certain powers slow the game down massively and help score pips
Her RBT directly counts towards the Sacrifice category. I'm not talking about Killer powers kinda influencing the Emblems indirectly. At one point before the emblems changed Powers used to count towards emblem. Without the data backing it I decided to ask which killers still affected this or not as only Pig still have any information regarding this.

Your aggressiveness regarding this topic won't help you getting anyone to take you serious though.
If many people agree that Spirit is a bit too strong or just not fun to go against, then there might be a problem. People are at the very least allowed to voice their opinions on that matter.
A lot of these people who complain dont really have any actual backed up claims due to literally complaining they cant do this or that when people suggest tips or hints or even straight up say that's a bad idea dont do this.
There are some legit complaints though.

@Blueberry said:

"Shes actually just low risk high reward."
She is quite literally the complete opposite of this. If you read them incorrectly the chase is completely reset and your power is now on cooldown. If anything she is high risk/high reward.
"Spirit forces mistakes from people who lack the skill or know how to play against her this is why she seems so OP."
That's the issue. She requires you to play against her completely differently and most survivors just refuse to learn that and try to juke her the same as every other killer only to come to the forums and complain.
"Most Spirits are in fact mediocre."
This is a big point. A mediocre Spirit is easy to juke and if that's the majority of them then I don't see an issue with her.
"Most killers require the survivors to make a mistake to get a underhand in the chase. Rin however does not have that issue."
This right here is exactly why 90% of the killer roster isn't rank 1 viable. They rely on survivor mistakes to win.
The game is balanced that if you play by the games rules you are weak and lose.
The few rank 1 viable killers are viable because they don't follow the games rules IE being loopable.
If you are a killer that relies on survivor mistakes = weak
Don't rely on survivor mistakes = rank 1 viable
This is all assuming competent survivors obviously and not people making stupid mistakes.
I'm at work so I cant post it like yours, but I'll separate it for you as best I can like you did.
I say low risk high reward simply because once you get the idea of her power and how she functions. You are rarely if ever are out of your power bar unless map traveling. Yes there are times you miss the survivors by quite a margin or predict wrong. I would go as high as to say "medium risk, high reward" , but shes nowhere near high risk unless your a bad Spirit.
Can't argue this because I say this all the time people refuse to adapt to her they would rather loop a killer who every 16 seconds is literally the strongest chaser in the game. Why adapt just complain am i right?
I wouldn't see a problem with the mediocre ones either, but thing it's like Nurse you need to know how to play against her in a specific way to actually be good. Otherwise you will still get dominated unless the killer is just that bad.
Honestly that why Spirit is better then Billy will ever be. He still requires mistakes on a survivors part. If your in a open are your more then likely screwed, but if your in a jungle gym you have made him a 115 M/S killer. Just Billy is not as crippled by it as most killers since he has a insta down
Spirit is imho one of few killers who are truely balanced extremely well. She wouldn't be nearly as strong now if the meta was still stealth based one instead of a non healing loop based one.
@Corrupted said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/757095#Comment_757095
I can attest to this. Most Spirits I have faced are actually bad. Very few are good, coming from someone who plays Spirit the second most out of all killers and have faced her a fair bit as survivor - she just maybe needs a tad more counterplay. You're not gonna be able to just watch her red stain, abuse strong loops and "gg too ez, 5 gen chase."
She requires a different skillset to counter her and it's subtle stealth and being able to read the Spirit player. Pick up on their patterns and adjust. I can agree with the argument that perks shouldn't be the only counterplay as Iron will and Spine chill hurt her but if anything she would need an indirect nerf, like more counterplay. You can actually hear her footsteps if she's a few feet around you - and if you face Spirit constantly then run IW. These Spirit threads are getting annoying.
Thanks.

@Blueberry said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/757047#Comment_757047
"she's so good and you see her the most cause she's so easy to pick up"
You see her a lot because she's one of the few viable killers and she is also not "easy to pick up" at all. She's one of the 3 hardest to play killers in the game.
If we had more viable killers we would see much, much less Spirit.
"there are so many killers that need slight buffs first"
Now this I totally agree with you. There are so many underperforming killers that should be much higher on their priority list.
"but we will prolly wait about a year and get one or two killers looked at because balance is glacial in this game..."
This is true as well
I wouldn't say easy to pick up is the correct statement. Shes actually just low risk high reward. I've seen terrible terrible Spirits, but apparently they just suck at the game according to most Spirit Nerf threads.
Just cause some people slide a headset on and max out the volume so they can go deaf later in life to compensate the fact they can't see a survivor. Those people are not common. Most Spirits are in fact mediocre. Spirit forces mistakes from people who lack the skill or know how to play against her this is why she seems so OP. Most killers require the survivors to make a mistake to get a upperhand in the chase. Rin however does not have that issue.

If we wanna make the spirit more difficult yet staying the same level of...
Reduce the MS by a certain % maybe 2 or 3% .... make her depending on landing phases
Increase her phasewalk duration by 1 or 2 seconds
Reduce the cooldown by 2
She would also need addon tweaks.... but this isnt happening anytime soon... it's been confirmed Doc, Michael and then the chainsaw killers are next.

It's these non-constructive, reason-less comments that I hate so much on the forum...
I for my part agree that Spirit should change a little because you just have to look at the stats to see she dominates at high rank as the go-to killer for an almost guaranteed pip.
Your guaranteed a pip with her not because of how strong she is, but because how effective she is at farming. During 2x BP events I can use Spirit and max out before any other killer would simply by tapping phase coming out and hitting them.
She just happens to be a great killer who can farm well.
@MemberBerry said:
And this can be simply done by removing collision during phasing, nothing else.
Or you know complain about her Prayer beads being OP like they actually are. You need to learn the subtle counters she actually does have. Realize shes not a killer you want to loop conventionally and treat her differently. If you treat her the same as every other killer she will get you and that's your fault not the killer.
You treat Huntress differently than a regular killer.
You treat Plague different then other killers
You treat Legion Differently as well.
Learn that Spirits ability is her insane chase potential and play accordingly to this and think of outs for this. Break her ruin before bothering with a gen trust me it will help.

Anything is appreciated.
Corrupt Intervention is better then Ruin ever will be on Trapper. His strength lies in snowballing mid to late game. CI gives you guaranteed time to set up in one area for that late game.
Trap key points on the map. Shack window, Inf loops, etc. A great place to trap is not in loops specifically, but at the exit points or blind spots for loops that survivors have to take when looping you. You can ways fake putting a pallet down it's a incredibly powerful mind game. After losing a 2 or 3 gens set up a trap at exit gates as closely as possible.
Dont be predictable as a Trapper like Hag you want them to be nervous and paranoid. You unfortunately only have 5 traps spawn in the map and 1 to 3 you bring in.
Last time I played Trapper you could place a Trap inside the top right stair of basement when coming out. Not sure if it's still a thing.
My favorite build with Trapper is Corrupt Intervention, Infectious Fright, Remember Me, and BBQ. If I had Discordance or Thrilling Tremors I would switch out BBQ.
Trapper rewards knowing survivors pathing and rotation.

Jokes aside I really wish instead of both sides getting nerfs over and over they instead fix the bugs, gives perks and killers QoL buffs, when they say "rework" they rework something instead of straight up nerfing it.
I did like DS change though. I just wish it was deactivated If another person got hooked or you were the last survivor. Otherwise it would have a infinite time to make up for this and as soon as a survivor got hooked would put you back into a injured state so they cant slug to victory.

Thanks for the help, that makes sense.
Shouldn't there be an objectively best build tho?
In a PvE game best builds are more defined then in PvP. If someone tells you this is the most powerful build on a survivor I would take it with a grain of salt. Honestly killer is a bit easier to define what perks synergies are good. No killer honestly needs BBQ, Ruin, Spirit Fury, and Enduring. Tbh that's a bad build mediocre killers use.
For example this is my ideal best build on Survivor as it fits my playstyle
I would rate this build a solid 10/10 for me, but how would you rate it?
-
@JoeyBob said:
Saw a youtuber say the objectively best survivor build - without question - is bond, spine, balanced, and lightweight.
Someone with more knowledge than any of us said this was the best build, so I won't doubt him, but my question was how lightweight is better than adrenaline? I always thought adrenaline was better.
Builds a should be tailored to your strengths and weaknesses. Objectively speaking the build suited for you may suck for me, but a build I play well with may suck for you.
No one build will ever he best simply because we all think and act differently to even the same killers. We loop different, stealth different, and even think of how to counter the meta different.
Some perks are definitely top tier and strong, but I think exhaustion perks are a waste of time and rarely use them because I can loop without them due to my playstyle.

I'm thinking of something akin to the old Ultima Online days when you acquired murder counts that decayed over time. Why not enforce an automatic 15-minute ban for a disconnect -- for any reason -- and make the ban time double (30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, and so on...) for successive disconnects? Then, each "disconnect count" could decay over a period of, say, 8 real-world hours or something.
A lot of people here, including Behaviour representatives, give players substantial "but sometimes you need to disconnect because something come up IRL" leeway. This is all well and good, but I also think somebody who disconnects for a pressing IRL reason is not going to be impacted much (if at all) by a 15-minute ban. If they do it habitually, then yeah, it stacks up.
Also: Based on WHEN most people disconnect (as soon as they get downed or hooked, or to give their friend the hatch, or if a killer is losing gens rapidly without getting any hooks), I would say that most people aren't doing it due to urgent real-life reasons.
What if the game disconnects you randomly? How shall I be punished? Permanent Ban?

No to removal of NoeD I I personally dont use it and I think it runs the game.
Also Survivors have the upper hand in DBD. In the sense that Survivors are weaker by not having a power yes, but reality is Survivors have the active role and this allows them to immediately have control until a killer can get the active role.

I don't think the issue is that her bloodpoint values are low. She ends up getting very low points because she doesn't get to ever use her Corrupted Purge. She needs changes that will make the survivors want to cleanse against her so that she actually gets to use her power which will in turn make her more fun to use and get her intended normal blood points. I suppose the 300 could still be too low, but we'd have to see after she gets those changes how much Corrupted Purge use she is actually getting.
I've always thought that Legions Mend and Plagues Sickness should have a debuff on them similar to old Freddys action speed penalty. Let them suffer consequences for these states or fix them.
I also would like Doctors skill checks to be more creative popping up upside down and backwards or even having the skill check and the pointer both moving separately on two different locations of the screen.

One day i'll be that one Legion you get and get to the post game, see the name, and go "OH no WONDER I died!"
It's a good goal! That's where i have fun in the game. What about you?
Unlikely honestly
I play survivor seriously on PS4 and Killer casually and the exact opposite on PC, but if I do ever get ya I'll definitely say hi it's me Liru gg.
Lately all I care about is Pig xD shes so dang fun. I cant get enough of her. Shes the only killer i actually add ruin on because it compliments her RBT instead of my usual no ruin or Corrupt Intervention.

Yes and No. This is where I become a hypocrite lol.
I like the exclusiveness when I am able to participate in the event.
I don’t like the exclusiveness if I was not able to participate in the event. However with that being said as long as they give me the option to buy it then that’s a different story. You can just make the purchasable items a limited time as well
Agreed. I got a Golden Feng Min outfit off a Random Twitch streamer i logged into one day for PC. I love using it and being legit, but I would be happier if everyone could get the old skins via the paid battle pass.

Makes sense to me! That's like me and Nurse! I can't play her cause her blinks make me wanna puke! I never camp or tunnel and honestly have my perks set up to reward fast pick ups too!
I normally go easy on anyone I see that seems new, till they BM. I don't mind if people get away, as long as I feel like I had some effect in the match!
Play who you enjoy I've seen some of the worse killers have some incredible skill.
