  • Thoughts on New Killer: Can't try him for myself, but others have said he's difficult to control. Power seems to need some serious tweaks. A bit more control on the bounce. Especially since he's not an insta-down killer.

Thoughts on New Killer Perks: Haunted Grounds for Generators is pretty awesome. Hex Replacement perk is one I've seen bounced around before, so it's outright amazing. Especially since it works with Ruin and Haunted grounds very well. Losing tokens makes sense for Devour Hope (Yikes if it didn't!) but for Huntress Lullaby... poor lullaby just stays pretty weak. Thrilling Tremors for Pallets is also pretty good. Solid perks all around.

Thoughts on New Survivor: Ruggedly handsome eye candy. Still waiting for Aya Brea myself, though.

Thoughts on New Survivor Perks: Deja Vu 2.0 seems useless except for newbies. Gens really aren't that hard to find, and Detective's Hunch is way better anyway. Self-Replinishing Items could be okay I guess if you use items a lot. Anti-Thanataphobia could use a slight buff of some sort. Unhooking action speed isn't a big deal. I wouldn't say repair speed, but maybe totem cleansing speed as well?

  • I think if you unhook someone, it should deactivate. Maybe suffer a repair penalty while Decisive is active (actually I'd be for a general repair penalty after being unhooked, in exchange for a speed boost to help prevent tunneling in the first place). That way a survivor can't go, unhook someone, the killer then can't pick either of them up because they could both have decisive strike.

  • New Killer perks look awesome.

New survivor perks look underwhelming. A weaker streetwise, Deja Vu 2.0 and a counter to Thana.

Well I just had 4 doctor games in a row and I'm willing to bet that the next one is too.

It seems to be the same with maps. It's like there's a daily map that pops up no matter which map offering you burn.

This has only been happening to me after CP was implemented. Before it truly felt random. Now not so much.

Tip: If you don't want to face doctor, run Calm Spirit. I never get Doctor when I run that perk.

  • Never played F13, but it looks kind of boring. I've only watched one game, though. All they did was find a couple items, hide, then started the car and left. Jason was on screen for maybe 30 seconds? Game lasted I think 10 minutes, but the killer was barely there. The tension seemed to be less killer reliant and more reliant on the fact that there's a killer at all.

I feel it'd be more interesting if the counselors HAD to kill Jason. Force the interaction. The one game I watched, though everyone could talk to each other it never felt like it was a team of so many vs 1. It felt like it was everyone for themselves, but they'd save other people given the chance. With DBD even without comms, it feels like you're working together toward a common goal. You NEED the other survivors. It doesn't seem to be the case in F13. Which kind of misses the point of an asymmetrical game imo.

  • 1 Billion BP is about 655k bp a day since release date. Definitely not implausible. Especially with Double BP events, Party Streamers, Cakes, etc...

  • Switch originally, changed to PS4 due to performance. Overall, my experience has been about the same. But I'm not red rank yet so we'll see if that changes.

  • I haven't seen much change since Crossplay came around. Maybe a bit more 360's, but that's about it and I'm starting to get the hang of hitting those. I've ran into some camping killers, but that's not any different from my usual experience. Shrug I just don't notice much difference. Maybe it's because I came from a different platform.

  • I think I saw a hacker the other day. Was a fellow survivor. The killer got two of them down, when he picked one up the guy immediately went free. At first I thought "Ooh, pallet save." Then the second guy did the same thing. Not long after the killer dc'ed. I wasn't close enough to know what was going on, so I didn't report it. It might not've been hacking. Felt a little weird to me, and the killer just quit not long after. Can't blame him if that was the case, though.

  • Yeah, I've seen it happen a lot.

Had a Clown yesterday with the pink add-on that allows you to insta-down if you hit them with a bottle. There were two of us left. I get downed. He leaves me. My teammate comes and picks me up. He downs me again. Doesn't hook me again. So I get picked up again. Then my teammate gets downed. I pick her up. Then finally he eventually downs both of us. Match lasts way longer than it should've.

  • Might be an issue with crossplay. My cousin doesn't DC on purpose, but she's been DC'ed from matches a few times. Like it'll be at a time where she's working on a gen and not in danger, so you know she's not just quitting. And her internet is 100x better than mine. (Plus she plays on the same internet as our third SWF team member, and they didn't get dc'ed)

I thought from the 1st picture it was the new killers map until I saw the others. Gotta say, if all killer shacks are themed around the maps look, it's going to be amazing. Yamaoka is a personal favourite of mine and seeing the new improvements makes it feel like it's a whole new map. Hopefully the Entity finally hired a garderner to trim some of those bamboos down a tad.

If she can't afford a Gardner, I'm sure a few people would volunteer to do the job. 😁

  • I don't have a major issue with it.

Faced a two man team the other day (How do I know? Because they were streamers, and I watched the stream afterward). They trash talked the entire time more than anything. I ended up killing them both. (But their teammates got away). Had no idea they were SWF during the match. They missed their DS and I had to laugh.

  • I don't like Blendettes because they are hard to see. Same reason I don't like Ghostfaces. If you're being tunneled for blending, it's because they aren't sure they will find you again.

  • I got stuck as killer. Do you think the survivors gave me a pity kill? Nope. They did the last gen and left. (I did get out eventually.)

I do play fair as killer, though. I too found a Nancy stuck on the hill, and let her go because I felt that wasn't fair. Her teammates died, though.

  • The Switch has some performance issues that weren't as noticeable before cross-play implementation. The Frame Rate is AWFUL. I cannot play Killer on Switch anymore. I struggle hard with it. PS4 doesn't have the best performance, but I can tell a difference. Even on the survivor side.

I will say that learning skill checks on Switch has probably made me a better survivor. I hit a lot of great's on PS4 because I'm used to the bad timing on the switch which was delayed a bit.

They are working on Cross-Progression for PC, Stadia, and Switch to ideally come out in September of this year. Other consoles and DbD mobile are not currently a possibility (at least based on what was stated in the linked article).

    https://deadbydaylight.com/en/news/breaking-barriers-with-cross-play-and-cross-progression

I would be interested to hear why cross-progression specifically involving Xbox and PlayStation isn't currently feasible, though I'd imagine it involves some kind of resistance from Sony and/or Microsoft or has to do with how information is tracked and stored for those consoles.

Resistance on Sony and Microsoft's part I imagine since they said they don't know if it'll ever come or not.

Hi @Peanits do you have any update on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One cross-progression please? Thank you.

PS4 Cross-Progression will probably come once I get all the perks unlocked for a second time -_-. If it comes at all. (Someone wanna give me 45 million bloodpoints to test this theory?)

  • SWF. Ask someone on the forum to do it with you. I mean we have crossplay now, so finding someone who can help you should be easy. I'd have done it.

  • I hate going against Oni more. Myers is PROBABLY going to get one or two downs at most with Tier 3. On the other hand, Oni has crazy snowball potential. In my experience, a Pallet does more against a Tier 3 Myers than against a Blood Fury Oni.

  • I don't think you can. I haven't tried it, mind you. But I don't think the game has keyboard/mouse support. Not sure it'd help because the frame rate is a bigger issue I think.

  • If the killer is camping, you just do gens. Seems they made the right call.

  • Had it happen to me twice recently. Also saw it happen to a Nancy as the killer. First time it happened to me, the Ghostface ignored me. The second time, I was Freddy and forgot I could teleport to get out because I'm an idiot. I let the Nancy go because that was super unfair.

  • Letting survivors pick the map seems a bit unfair. Nobody will ever want to go to a killer sided map.

  • Do you really think the same people working on bugs are the same people working on new content? They aren't. They have to find the bug, find what's causing it, and then fix it without creating new bugs unintentionally. They can do both at the same time. And keep in mind that they have to do this for EVERY platform. If it were really simple to fix the bugs, they'd have done it a long time ago.

  • Saw a Huntress camping in my first game this morning. She was new, wasn't really her fault. She managed to get a second down, but as soon as she realized we were opening the exit gate she came for us, and I went for the save. All 3 of us got out. Probably could've gotten all the gens done without a second hook if my man Ace hadn't been opening a chest, but he might've had a challenge for that. So I'll forgive him. Hopefully the Huntress learned that camping isn't a viable strategy and she is able to improve.

  • More double BP Events.

    The grind is just awful.

  • I've run into a lot of Billy's. In fact I'd say it's probably the killer I've faced the most recently.

  • Nope. I go for the first one I see.

  • Crossplay is great. I like facing different people, and much shorter queue times. Though I will say I don't like running into so many streamers. Ran into 3 the last couple days. Watched them afterwards to see what I missed. (One missed his DS, which was hilarious. They stuck to typical trash talk, but made me kind of glad they're the two I killed. Another set seemed a bit newer to the game, and i felt kind of bad afterward. And the third I had a horrible game, and couldn't see this Claudette at all. Took me way too long to find my first survivor)

  • For survivor... I'd keep Kindred, then run Detective's Hunch, Alert, and Premonition. (To replace Iron Will and Spine Chill. My 4th perk slot rotates to whatever I feel like)

  • I'd cry because I need my Pop. Finally just got it back on Pig today, and got my first Merciless against a set of Purples (one of them had OoO, and one had a key). I needs my slowdown perk. I'm not a good enough killer.

I guess I'd run STBFL + Surge + Thanataphobia + Whispers. Or something like that.

  • I got stuck on one today. Not sure if the Ghostface could pick me up or not, but I think he figured what happened, and left me alone for a bit.

  • Happened to me on PS4 on Autohaven. I got healed, then the killer downed me again, and it knocked me loose. But I was stuck there a good couple minutes. Don't think the killer could pick me up -- but he didn't try. He might have realized what happened and was a good sport about it.

  • I don't think he's nearly as proficient as camping as he used to be. You can't hold the chainsaw constantly.

  • I usually just pick survivors up, drop them, and pick them up again and keep dropping them until they're back on their feet. Sometimes they still don't get the message that I'm friendly though. I did this in front of the hook with just about everyone dead, and the poor Meg on the hook got sacrificed.

  • Had a game earlier where I thought a guy had OoO at the end cause I saw his aura go through the exit gate. Only to remember I had blood warden.

  • It's a lot worse on Switch. I can handle it on PS4, but probably because it's just THAT bad on Switch.

  • I'm loving Crossplay so far. I just wish I could get cross-progression for PS4 so I could stop playing on Switch except occasionally.

  • The frame rate on Switch is so bad that even I -- someone who is frame rate blind -- notices it. I can handle killer on PS4, but not on Switch. Wish I could transfer all my perks and BP to PS4. That'd make life so much better. Sony are bastards.

  • I play SWF with people on different consoles, though.

  • That'd be cool.

Though Steam would need its own color too. Grey?

  • If the survivors are struggling, I'll play nice. Usually after two-hooking everyone. I mean all you really have to do is do gens and get out. Or you can go up to the killer, point to a hook and let them know you want out. They may oblige.

  • I see more survivors DC than killers.

Yesterday managed to down a Jane (who I had experience with before, and he was totally toxic) at the exit gate, after everyone already left. And of course he DC'd! Yeah, that'll show me! I still got a merciless.

Today, had a nurse who probably never played it before or was doing a daily. She didn't DC. She just went and stayed in a corner after we got the exit gates opened. I tried giving her a kill, but she didn't want it.

Farm accounts would be made to gift dailies, etc. Heck I might use my PS4 account to gift to my PC.

I'm willing to take that risk if it means being able to switch to PS4 eventually. Playing killer on switch is a bit unbearable. But I have all my perks, and they aren't bringing cross-progression to PS4 because Sony are bastards.

  • Isn't that kind of normal after rank reset? Or was that just Switch? Cause whenever I got rank reset, I'd always run into tunnelers, campers, survivors who always bring Syringes, DS, Adrenaline.

  • You should definitely be able to gift bloodpoints. Then I could spend my BP on my PS4 instead of on Switch where I barely have anything to spend it on.

  • "I was camped for 10 gens!" doesn't sound fun, though. Nor does "Was this guy on his 6th hook, or his 7th?"

But longer games would definitely shake things up. That's why they're hopefully implementing an early game.

  • Could've been the guy's first time playing Demogorgon. He could have just purchased the Stranger things Chapter and wanted to try it out. Every killer plays pretty different, and while some skills are transferable you have to really get used to the killer's power to get good at them.

As for the survivors.. they might've had a daily to open the exit gate. Or they could just be one of the few players that don't care about the team aspect, and only care about escaping.
