You see a Globe in their nicknames if they are on other consoles. Not just PC.

How can ya'll tell when the player is playing on PC? I can never tell. They all look alike to me. AM I GAMIST?

Results:
Yep, you can play against Freddy on Switch. And you can play on Badham. Awesome! Now I'll still never get to play on that map because I always get literally every other map instead
-
We could test it out if someone has a badham offering and will let me add them as a friend. I'm not particularly good, but I'd like to see what happens.
Actually, n/m. I'm going to try it in a private game between switch and PS4. Expect an update soonish.

0 Decisive's 0 Unbreakables. Ahh the dream.

Next time, try shutting the system down (hold the power button and actually turn it off) and turn it back on and see fit hat helps.

Do we know if Switch is up and running with crossplay. I am interested in facing different people. You start to memorize builds people run where I play.
It is. I played with my cousin this morning and she's on XBOX One.
-
I play on Switch so my frames are probably the worst of everyone's. Though I'm hoping to gradually move to PS4.
Though I will say that watching Bubba come out of the wall made me think "HACKER" for about 2 seconds before realizing there was a window there.
-
Switch users are included. You might want to have them add you because Switch names are hard to find.
-
I've only played 2 crossplay games, but so far I've not had any troubles. But I've only played 2 games. And they weren't red rank killers because I've deranked to Green due to not playing much this month due to data caps.

Moris:
Cypress Mori is fine.
Ivory and Ebony Mori only work after a total of 6 hooks. (The entity wants to be fed) OR after 4 gens have been completed.
Keys:
Hatch Spawns one generator later than it currently does.
-
DS + Locker makes Killers Salty. Wonder how a topic would go with someone (with Head On and Unbreakable too, of course) bragging about this.
-
Enjoy your 5000 bp I guess.

Sucks to do 4 totems, see no Totems on Detective's Hunch, and assume your teammates did ONE totem. Only to get hit by NoED. It's pretty map dependent, too. Because on some maps totems are extremely difficult to find. While on other maps their locations are easy to discern.
But not only is NoED an important part of the game, as it encourages survivors to do totems, it's also not a great perk.
Often, NoED results in ONE extra hook for the killer. In 82 games with NoED, it resutled in only 38 kills. That's not even half a killer per use of NoED! That's because a lot of the time NoED doesn't even activate. Either because survivors did all the totems, or because the survivors fail to complete all the generators.
Best advice I can give you is to be aware when there's on gen left to pop. If you've found four totems, do a cursory search for the last one while trying to stay out of the killer's LOS. Don't draw their attention unless you know 5 totems are done, or he's hit another survivor and NoED didn't proc.
-
Got real Saw vibes from it.
-
System not working as intended seems pretty obvious, since they said they tested it on XBOX One, and I don't remember a lot of people on here complaining that matchmaking on XBOX one was HORRENDOUS during that time period. So I'm thinking there may be some bugs involved, or MMR got reset or something.
-
Clown is beatable. But only if he's being played by someone who makes a lot of mistakes. (Choosing to play Clown, thankfully counts as one mistake!)
-
So trapper just has to trap the gates, and pretty much auto-win as long as he kills at least one survivor? Seems like a bad idea to me.
-
The Billy nerf was a pretty light touch tbh. If they handle other killers like they did Billy, then I have every faith in the Dev's.

Tbh I just clicked to see what sunmiest meant.
Ditto.
-
I think instead, each gen completed after activated the trap should maybe take a set time off the timer. This means survivors have to be careful about finishing gens when their teammates still have an RBT on their head. It gives them the sadistic choice -- 99 the gen and wait until the teammate gets it off, or hope they can get it off and finish the gen. Also give her a little faster speed while crouched.
Also rework her add-ons. It has the same problem as Old Ruin. New Survivors will struggle. Veteran Survivors do skill checks in their sleep. Only unlike Ruin, her add-ons actually HELP survivors by having more opportunities for great skill checks to search the boxes faster.
-
sigh seems like my plan to get faster internet isn't going to work.
-
If I suspect the survivors I'm playing against are low ranked, I'll start playing a lot nicer. Don't know about anyone else. The games are already really boring. I'd rather be a babysitter than just slaughter a bunch of hapless rank 20's who don't know what they're doing and might just be learning how to play.
-
I play because I enjoy it.
I DC because my internet is crap and I'm trying to get it changed but it's been difficult. Also the server seems to like to kick me for no good reason on occasion.
-
This is a lot harder, because it really depends on what killer you want to play. When I started on PS4 I had next to no perks, but my experience carried over and I didn't need them. When I started on Switch originally, I had next to no perks, and had no idea what I was doing.
I'd say start with Billy with Enduring, Whispers, Tinkerer and Lightborn. A lot of people will recommend NoED, but i feel like Noed can hinder killer growth.
-
I main Pig because Pig I like how she feels. Her lunge is perfect. With other killers, I always feel like their weapons feel heavier for some reason. Even though every lunge is the same. The animation makes it feel effortless.
I main Cheryl because I like Silent Hill and I wanted to move away from using Meg all the time. On PS4 right now I main Jake.

First: Rank 20 killer.
My thoughts: "Wow, I'm worse than I thought! I thought I'd at least face a green or purple."
Second: Rank 12 killer. Rank 19 teammates.
My thoughts: "Guy might be new at hag." (He kills me pretty easily, and didn't play like a newbie hag. Killed me pretty easily because my teammates didn't bother to save me, mind you. But he didn't put a billion traps around the hook. He put one, and moved on. Which is a pretty experienced hag move)
Third game: Rank 1 Billy. No idea if he was new or not. I got disconnected, or he did one. It said i escaped and he dc'ed, but it felt like my interent had a hiccup (though my internet didn't go out during that time) or got booted from the server.

TC Be like

Mori's and its not even close. You can turn the game into a 3v1 extremely quick as long as you're able to complete your first chase in a decent amount of time. And if you can't then the issue really isn't the mori.
-
F tier in reality, but S tier in my heart. *Boop*
-
No, you weren't camping. Though from the survivors perspective, it's easy to understand why they'd think you were. Remember that the survivor can only see things from their perspective, even if they're in an SWF. From their perspective you slugged Kate, slugged Cheryl, then slugged Meg. Only after getting Meg, did you go back for Cheryl (who hadn't been hooked yet). The only thing you should've done differently is in your response. Instead of being passive aggressive, you should've explained to them why the match went the way it did. Of course, it's hard in the heat of the moment to give a measured response. But personally, that's why I wouldn't message someone who had DC'ed to ask them why they had.
-
I just want to move my Switch data to my PS4. Stupid Sony... the frame rate on Switch has gotten unbearable to even ME, and I almost never notice frame rates.
-
Are people really still complaining about BT? Which is literally 15 seconds, which isn't even a quarter of the time that DS is active. Everyone's like "If DS lasted less time, it'd be fine!" then groan about freaking Borrowed Time which only lasts 15 seconds.
-
No. You could easily bring an Ebony Mori to every game and double pip all the time.
-
Maps seem to rotate pretty well, though I've never seen Badham since starting on PS4.
-
Spirit seems like she'd have an interesting movie.
-
"Which of Ace's perks lets you keep add-ons?"
"What's his perks again?"
"Ace in the Hole, Open Handed, and Up the Ante."
"...Maybe open-handed?"
"Let's go with that one."
-
I do a single crouch. But usually only if not in the terror radius.
-
Always the 4th box? You mean almost never the 4th box. I've seen survivors get the RBT's off on one box, and it was the one closest to the hook. Almost never more than 2 boxes.
-
New Billy is fine. The overheat mechanic isn't overbearing, and his chase music... I don't even remember it to be honest.
The Auras though... I can't see hooks 95% of the time. Made getting my Nightmare Adept (Which I finally got! I haven't been able to get adepts because they aren't on Switch) a... well Nightmare. (Didn't help that someone brought a freaking Key!)
-
They really aren't. As killer, I can BARELY see the hook auras. Especially on Ormond.
-
Not coming to XBOX or Sony PS4 at this time. Might not ever happen. *shakes fist at Sony* I don't feel like actually getting all the perks again. I finally have P3 Cheryl and Pig with every perk. I also feel bad for the survivors I play against on PS4, cause when I do get balanced matchmaking, my experience on Switch allows me to mop the floor with them. Even without the perks I want. (Though often I get purple/red ranks, though I'm only rank 13 on PS4 right now)
-
@Jigsaw_pprentice1993 said:
Try ormond resort i was running devour it was such a small light red pixel i could barely see where it spawned
Yeah, on Ormond I could NOT see where a survivor was hooked when I went for the rescue. I was running Kindred. It was just way too hard to see.
-
Ghostfire sounds interesting, but could be OP with Devour Hope and NoED. I think it'd be interesting if maybe this hex was replaced by the first cleansed hex as soon as its cleansed. Not sure how to make it into tiers though.
Down Under sounds okay, but the basement hook requirement is a bit much. Maybe reduce the amount, and require you to be so far from the hook. Would benefit people who don't camp, without being so powerful like Devour Hope.
Not a fan of Dare Devil. Way too easy to end a chase, then start it back up once the 100 seconds are up. Seems like it'd benefit someone like Doctor a lot more than... pretty much anyone else. A bit too killer dependent. Legion might also find it useful, but... hard to say, given how hard it is to get far enough in frenzy. Would make Infectious Fright very powerful.
Blockade is bamboozle with a requirement and a cooldown. Also I imagine it'd be hard to implement where survivors get hit by a basic attack JUST before going through the window. Which seems like one of the few times it'd be useful.
Focus... combine it with Rancor, and you've basically got NoED on Steroids.
Insight - I think the cooldown doesn't help if it isn't paused while the survivor is on the hook.
Generating Terror - Thrilling Tremors has a similar effect, but shorter duration, greater requirement, and no regression. So I think this one would get a No.
Death Toll - I like the concept, but encourages tunneling and survivors have little counterplay here.
Cursed Chaos - Sounds like a weaker Overcharge.
-
Yeah, these auras are terrible. Way too hard to see on either side. Killers and Survivors can maybe finally agree on something? Maybe that was the Dev's plan all along. Unite the community with something everyone hates.

With how braindead of a killer Spirit is you shouldn't even need perks.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1480769#Comment_1480769
I wasn't basing perks off of how well they worked with one other perk or how well they worked on a specific killer, but rather how they worked alone. Nemesis is terrible unless used with PWYF. Spirit Fury is meh unless used with Enduring.
Corrupt Intervention is generally the best gen defense perk. The only competition would be Thrilling Tremors and Ruin. Ruin, however, only excels with Surveillance, and totem spawns can hurt it a lot.
Deathslinger has all trash perks, so I just flipped a coin between Dead Man's Switch and Gear Head.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1480838#Comment_1480838
Brutal Strength just has more use in the end, especially on maps with breakable walls.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1480891#Comment_1480891
The effects of Devour are far better, but the time taken to get 5 stacks can be a lot. Ruin is active from the get-go. Totems placements are normally not great either.
Devour is amazing at three stacks, and doesn't warn survivors until you've gotten an insta-down.

We reacted properly. They pulled back on the nerf HARD.
Sure, the reaction to the PTB was appropriate. The reaction to the live release was silly. Especially since most people hadn't played it yet.
