I'm honestly surprised you got the heal off lol like someone else said it's hard to be the devs right now because it's about to get worse and the best way to counter it is not play
Bro- that’s what I’m about to do if they dont get this sh!t under control. I spent a lot of money on this game. I dont think I’m going to get the next DLC or any more cosmetics until I know they have a handle on this, somehow.
As far as the healing is concerned, you are right. That reminds me- two games before that I had a Huntress bot (I didn’t record). Check this crazy ######### out, Va:
- I didn’t know it was a bot- I thought it was someone cheating
- I got teleported to basement hook like you and I both did in our videos
- I Kobe’d (4%) off hook right before the second to last person was placed on hook (I tried to kill myself on hook and got mad the game gave it to me. Always does that sh!t smh).
- Went into the closest locker because I was trying to hide from Barbecue (Bot actually had it too- but again, I’m thinking this is a human cheater)
- Came out of locker as last person died, boom- Iron Maiden. Figured I was screwed and cheater would teleport straight to me so I just stood still. When I saw they weren’t coming and I heard faint terror radius, I ran upstairs and made a run for hatch. I had CLAIRVOYANCE! Thank gawd the bot had Ruin and I cleansed it at the beginning.
- I escaped through hatch thinking the cheater “gave it to me” (because he would be able to see it like a killer’s Windows of Opportunity with his cheats) out of “kindness” for 4% off hook in the basement. But now I realize it was a bot, I’m confused. But now that I think about it , one content creator did say thats the only way to survive is to find the hatch first, but they will eventually perfect it so the bots will always beat you to it. I know once they do find it, there is no way in hell you’ll get an exit gate open though.
Scary ######### man. Wish I would’ve recorded that one now, in hindsight. Damn. I was just so relived to make it out.
-
I don’t like it. It really is another Suffocation Pit/Azarov’s resting place type of map, but kind of worse. Easier for the killer to force a 3 gen if that’s what he really wants. Happened to me last Friday with a Deadslinger. He just camped the Myer’s side of the street because it had 3 nearby gens and the basement, all within close proximity. I caught on to what he was doing mid-game cause he wouldn’t follow me or other’s whenever we ran to the other side. Unfortunately my teammates didn’t catch on and we did get three genned. I had to Sacrafice myself to get that last gen done so my last two teammates could get out. It’s a good thing I kept at it constantly while we were at 2 gens left, or everyone would have died.
I’m burning the offerings so I can get more acquainted with it though. I still don’t know the loops.
-
Lol this.
IDK bro, I was kind of disappointed to see this myself this afternoon. I pondered the same thing. I dont think I have ever seen them do this since Ive been playing. Oh well.

Yeah and their user names either promotes said bot or if on PC it'll advertise in endgame chat -_-
This is not good bro. I have a feeling this is going to get out of hand, and fast.

Why have the devs not addressed this issue. I get that flashlights are part of the game. But flashlights need a cooldown. I’m honestly sick and tired of being blinded several times in a row within seconds. Most of the time I don’t even get a chance to look up or away, leaving me rigged for blinding, which isn’t fair. Survivors know this and they exploit it by blinding a killer in quick succession and it’s honestly frustrating. It can be quite toxic sometimes.
Flashlights have been constantly shadow nerfed over the years. It’s to a point where you need to learn the timing and position yourself properly. It’s no longer a brain dead action that everyone can do, like 3 years ago. It requires some knowledge, thought, and a smidge of skill. Even if they nerfed it, the people who are really good with flashlights will just go into KYF and perfect the timing again. That’s what they do every time there is a change. And then there’s others who will throw 30 games in a row by following a killer chasing someone else, just to get the timing down. Then you’ll be right back where you are now, getting blinded.
Better to run Lightborn when you see two or more flashlights. You can also try to be strategic where you down a survivor, by not allowing them to go down out in the open. Try to herd them close to a wall or structure then down them so you can look at said wall or structure when you pick them up (if you dont want to use a slot on Lightborn). If they happen to go down out in the open, take a second to check your surroundings for their teammates with flashlights, hiding nearby. Use headphones so you can hear those same teammates following you while you’re chasing the injured. Treat it like you would if someone suspiciously allowed themselves to get downed at a pallet.
You’re going to have to figure something out soon, cause supposedly the next new survivor perk is going to guarantee a flashlight in the first chest (like Pharmacy does to Medkits) they open and when they blind you with it, you wont be able to see gens for 60 seconds. So even if they DON’T bring a flashlight into the lobby, you’re not safe.
Oh- there’s also Franklin’s to slap the torches out of their hands and Overwhelming Presence to make them use up more of their flashlight battery.
-
Just wait till you make it to the final bosses- The Killer bots. That’s when the real fun begins. They’ll make you miss the campers and tunnelers.
-
I hate how the map modifier is turned up for the Swamp. This POS map has been getting spammed daily, for almost a year now. Enough already. Put all maps at 50%, you clowns.
-
For mine I use:
This is not Happening
Resilience
Stakeout
Fast Track
I also call it the “Great Skill Check Build.” Definitely a meme but I like it on my Jake.
-
So these are the infamous bots I was seeing content creators warning about. Had my first encounter just a moment ago, which brought me here now. Smh.
Here’s mine from today:
-
Zero fun. IDK what happened as of late. I used to always appreciate a good nurse. Now I no longer do. I think it may be because the game is now flooded with a lot of gawd tier nurse players who can land a hit on almost every blink. It’s like no matter how unpredictable you try to be while breaking line of sight, they’re one step ahead. They know your next move before you do, and that’s what’s so baffling & frustrating about playing against them. You can have 5 options, and they’ll always position themselves to have those 5 covered & guess right nearly every time. Watching some of them stream and call out good loopers is truly amazing. Like I literally feel my eyes open wide and I’m like: “how the F did he call that out and predict it??!! The survivor could have went in 5 different directions!”
So yea, no fun at all.
-
You shouldn’t have let this one get to you- it’s obvious he’s frustrated with the game and his previous matches (even the ones on previous days). He completely disregarded what you said and didn’t care. Like a bigot, he considers ALL survivors to have a negative stereotype. Let this one go. Btw, don’t message campers & tunnelers- they enjoy that. Just block them if they’re on your platform.

Bro, this literally just happened to me just now. Unfucking believable. The amount of money I sink into this fukcing
game.
-
Cheaters are using Spirit? Why? Harder to detect her cheating?
-
Nemesis? You were going to camp regardless. 🙄
-
DH is going to get nerfed (too many complaints) & then everyone is going to complain about Sprint Burst. Then it’ll be Overcome. Then it’ll be Lithe, followed by Balanced Landing accompanied with map offerings. Then the community will say no more exhaustion perks.
-
I’m assuming the killers will be on their best behavior? It MUST be a Halloween party for me, and I would bring Yun-Jin (as my date) and Julie from The Legion. I would pass her off as someone cosplaying a Purge character and tell the other guests she gets really into it, so don’t be alarmed.
-
For me it’s a tie between all the killers who can insta-down you. Whether it be immediately (Billy/Bubba), or they have to tier up (GF/Meyers). If they catch you off guard or in a dead zone, your screwed. No 2nd chances.

Just watched his new video regarding Legion - TL:DR, he's trying to help people understand how to play against Legion so that they don't get the 'to the ground!' treatment Wraith did, after the short but glorious period where Wraith was actually a mid tier killer.
After playing and playing against Legion a bit recently...yup. I'm worried too. It's one thing adding in a powerful new killer (Artist), but when people are so massively accustomed to riding roughshod over a low tier killer only to actually get skunked by them, the reaction is very much 'nerf plz'.
It would definitely be annoying to see them nerfed, particularly with the 'wait a few months' statement regarding helping Onryo.
What are your thoughts? Is the new Legion just too oppressive, or should BHVR at least let the dust settle to avoid another Wraith level 'down one whole tier' level nerf?
in ln low-mid mmr, legion was no pushover. he still made players DC & let go on hook. they were formiddable. now they're a challenge. they just sucked ass with the 1% (like most killers). im not the least surprised players are already crying for a nerf.

Pro tip: Don't heal againts Legion.
Also... Legion is still weak killer lol. Split up on gens and it's gg.
yea, I was never a fan of healing against legion- even before buff. now if our stupid community would learn to stop ######### cleansing against Plague, the world would be a better place.

forced penance wont help at the exit gates
What do you mean? If they are literally in the exit gate, nothing will help you at that point (maybe SS). But if it's EGC, they all can't go back to the exit gate and heal each other in a little football huddle and re-group for the next save.

if you remove swf this game will have maybe 10 players on it people like to play with their friends no one plays solo que and enjoys it.
Those 10 people will be so happy though!
-
Annoying as it is, body blocking is legit. The game gives you points for it, and there are two survivor perks (WGLF & MOM) that encourage/reward you for protecting your teammates.
Punish them with Forced Penance. If survivors are blocking you from hook, there’s Mad Grit, Starstruck, Iron Grasp, & Agitation.
-
Oof. You are not ready for today’s buffs and Twins Tome.
-
It’s SWF fault. No one likes them. Plus their feet stink. #RemoveSWF
-
I agree. Finally someone who gets it.
-
When I play killer, I don’t do any of those because I don’t like it being done to me. If it happens to me as a survivor, it’s whatever. I take my medicine and move on to the next match. But the games you get 4K’s as killer without doing any of that, are really something. No one can say jack ######### to you, and it’s awesome. Especially if it’s a decent 4 man SWF that got too cocky. You beat them straight up, by their rules- “handicapped.” And if they do say anything, you both know their salty and it’s just sad.
-
Yea I don’t care for farming either, but it used to be a LOT worse before crossplay since everyone could communicate on the same platform. Now I don’t get it that often. I’ll run into one now every week and a half as opposed to one every 2 or 3 days. Just do gens and leave ASAP, so you can get into your next match. Besides, you have a select few killers who farm then turn on the survivors at the end with NOED or some other insta down.
-
I think NOED is fine as is. Survivors have a ton of second chance perks, so killers get theirs during the end game. The big 3 are: NOED,No Way Out, and Blood Warden. Yea I agree it does kind of reward bad players, but eventually most will get better at the game and move away from it. If it gives them value, then that means they’ll enjoy killer more and Que up more for it. Even in 2022, knowing NOED exists still gives me a bit of an adrenaline rush and anxiety (in a good way) if I’m in chase healthy, and the last gen is being worked on. I can usually\ tell who may have it by t\he way they play. Yea it sucks running them for 3 gens only to get smacked by it because of the speed boost. But I just take my medicine and move on to the next match. Sometimes you get lucky and your teammates find the hex and get you off and out the trial. Makes for really good games.
‘I have a few small game/counter force builds too, that are really fun when you prevent NOED from even popping, then seeing it on the post game screen after everyone escaped. Feels good.

Or...we buff solo and then buff killer. Removing SWF would make killers like Nurse or Blight practically unbeatable.
‘That’s the direction the devs are going in, but I personally don’t agree with It. For one they have a terrible track record and would drag their feet when it comes time to buff killers once solos are are buffed (look at keys/moris for example). Then two, no matter what the devs do- nothing beats comms. It trumps everything. You get so much knowledge and coordination being in a SWF.

Wrong. Iframes have so many uses, my recent post actually lists it all.
All the distance does is punish the weak basic attack killers and corrects mistakes on loops, it's also the easy part of the perk.
You want DH to require some skill, the distance part lacks still and is unfair. If you think DH is only good for the distance you're using the easy and broken part of it.
The fact you dont think basic attack killers should be able to counter a perk says enough.
Chill out with the passive aggressiveness, we have a difference of opinion and nothing more. Notice how everyone here is able to convey theirs without being condescending.
‘Even if you are right, the main problem with that is the perk would become very unpopular and it would barely be used. Like I said before, we have too many perks that are not good & not worth using a slot for. Let’s not throw another one on the pile.
-
Remove SWF or give them their own mode, and only then the game can be balanced.
-
@EntitySpawn said:
Remove the distance and it's still fair.
Iframes have alot of uses, it just gives DH a set role/ability instead of multiple uses such as the broken free distance to correct mistakes.
Your idea actually makes DH less useable than just removing the distance as you can use the iframes to dodge/bait an attack then drop a pallet. Or if you mean you just have X seconds to use it then it's still busted as before, the distance has to go.
It has to be the other way around- remove the iFrames but keep the distance. If you remove the distance, the perk becomes useless and no one will use it. We have too many useless perks as is (on both sides). Remember the DH bug that would leave survivors “exhausted on the floor?” No iFrames would work the same and stop survivors from greeding a whiff AND making it to a window/pallet. Also, survivors won’t be able to use it after unhooking someone while injured (in front of your face), and they won’t be able to bait a swing from you while you carry their teammate to a hook. No iFrames, so they’ll foolishly get downed if they try.
If it’s being used tsolely to dodge a hit with iFrames, killers would just bait it out or even if they do whiff, they’ll catch up in no time because distance is gone. A lot of ppl use DH today ‘incorrectly” as is, only to go down 3 seconds later. Stopping those at mid-high MMR from greeding with DH will make life a little better for killers.

This is why i encourage everyone to play both sides often.

Bringing solo queue up to the bar of SWF just refers to information. Which is to say solo queue would get the same amount of information a swf gets via communication.
Seeing what everyone else is bringing in the pre-game lobby is an example of information a swf gets via communication. I’m not saying that it’s definitely going to happen, but it does fall under that umbrella and can always be a possibility. But your’e missing the point- SWF’s are headaches for killers. Bringing solo’s up to “their bar” is going to give them more headaches. Like someone said above, you know its going to take even longer to make the necessary changes to get killers to compete with that. They’ll prob have to sit for a year before anything is done. All speculation of course, but we just need to look at history. For example, keys vs. moris. No reason why they both couldn’t be done simultaneously. And lets just say there was some technical/mechanical issue with nerfing hatch, they could have held off on the Mori nerf until the hatch nerf was ready. But thats not how they operate.

Nurse. Midwich offering.
That's how I've been 4 man slugged til bleed-out recently.
Are you high MMR?
-
I consider myself to be in mid MMR- maybe even low-mid MMR, but I RARELY get slugged. Yet I see threads pop up often about slugging. Is this a HIGH MMR issue?? Can someone confirm? Me getting slugged is so rare that I have to find a new build for Bill (anti-slug build) because whenever I play with him, I get no value. It literally feels like I’m playing with no perks.
Or is this a region thing if it’s not in high MMR?? I play on NA servers…

Whoa! 😳

And “bringing solo Que players up to the standards of SWF’s” is supposed to make the game more balanced?? Pfft yea right. Solo’s equip flashlights just because they see others bringing in flashlights- imagine when they can see their teammates sabo build in pre-game lobby, and all they have to do is select their sabo load out. Smh.

It's insane! I never understood when I was a survivor main. Now I see how killers have it. No matter what you do, as the killer, you are always wrong. I finally caught a survivor that kept setting a totem and she sent a slew of nasty messages talking about my lack of skill. Like seriously... just say GG and take the L.
This is why players need to play both sides, and play them often. I am sensitive to the opposition when I play.
‘As survivor, I do not teabag at the exit (unless you tried your hardest to facecamp and/or tunnel me out), teabag at pallets, click flashlights obnoxiously, or send hate mail post game. I will unlock chests & do totems- and not solely focus on gens. When the team has clearly won and we are all at the same exit gate, i immediately leave.
As killer I do not camp, tunnel, hit survivors on hook, nod my head at hooked, shake my head after a down, ring wraith’s bell obnoxiously, or send hate mail post game.
For me, it’s not even about unwritten rules- but more about “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” It’s not a good feeling when you get found first then placed on a hook and facecamped out the game. Your time was wasted. You had 0 fun because someone else just wanted to “win.” They don’t owe you anything and they too paid for the game, but it’s still a jerk move. Me personally, I don’t get satisfaction doing that to others. Besides, just standing there while they die on hook is boring. A 4K feels waaay more fun and better when you beat the team straight up. They can’t say jack sh** to you. It’s not a good feeling having some asshats follow you clicking their damn flashlight every 5 seconds while you’re chasing someone else. If I didn’t turn around to chase you, then obviously I’m not interested. I don’t care about your big ego wanting to be chased, because you’re the best looper. I’m not falling for it, and you keep clicking that damn thing tells me now you just want to be annoying. Same goes for waiting at the exit- you guys won, now LEAVE. I’m not going over there for you to teabag in my face. Now I have to wait till the last second of EGC for the game to be over. Smh.
‘Just have some videogame common courtesy people, and treat others how you want to be treated. Play both sides. Stop being an ignorant one trick pony.

If you play with crossplay off you can't play with past generations of the console you are on. So if you are on Series X, you will only be matched with Series X players and no Xbox One players.
Ahhhh ok. I got confused by. I never knew that. Thnx.

I stopped playing two months ago. I got a new console (Series X), and Series X players can't play against XBOX players because they are different systems according to the DEVs. I have crossplay off because there are too many cheaters.
Huh? That doesn’t sound right. I play with Xbox One players on my Series X all the time, and we have crossplay on. We get PC, XB1, PS4, & PS5 Teammates/killers consistently.

@humanbeing1704 said:
It's ok I guess although smart people will figure it out that you have lightborn the first blind attempt then it's just a wasted perk slot
In low to mid MMR Lightborn is actually pretty decent. You can make the “smart people” second guess their timing by acting like you’re looking up or away. If they drop a pallet, I’ll fake left or right like I’m about to go around-then quickly return to break the pallet. Then I’ll look up at the point they should have got the blind, so it comes across like they started a second too late for the blind. I will also still look away and face walls when picking up a downed survivor to continue the act.
I can usually bait out two more flashlight attempts and followed up with hits or downs. But after that they catch on and I already got value from the perk. Works best when they are multiple solos bring flashlights. Free hits lol.
-
I really do believe any changes to the distance gained with DH will make it useless. The only viable solution I see is to take away its i-frames.
We already have a plethora of useless perks. We don’t want to add one more to the list.

Yeah I'm hoping thats the case. PSN seems to be much more strict in terms of addressing threats, cheating, etc. I literally called someone a "Loser" once and received a warning just a few hours later (first offense so I'm not bothering with messages anymore). Behavior should take a lesson.
Damn that’s strict! I self censored my bad words with asterisks on PSN and was shocked when I got my warning, but this takes the cake.

This. I completely forgot about it. Glad it’s not popular. Hex Plaything gets an honorable mention. That’s a very good killer perk that’s underrated IMO. It makes a lot of players in mid MMR ragequit & give up out of frustration- especially when paired with the old (ruin/undying) or new (Pain Res/DMS) meta. Those combos are just too sexy for their virgin eyes.
