  • Through the random simple ideas I had, the one I kind of like is this.

Once spirit starts phasing she and her husk disappear and every x seconds (like 3 maybe) she visibly appears during phasing so survivors get to see her and she gets to see the survivors for X seconds (probably like 0,5s or 1s), then the same repeats until she ends her phase.

During all of this the sound and all other notifications are disable completely, just visuals like moving grass etc which affects her as well now. No sound whatsoever for either side.

Kind of like old Freddy's dream transition.

  • Nemesis has new carry animations and such and devs used to say that making a killer with completely different animations to the standart killer model would be too much work but they did it now anyway.

I'd say that anything is on the table, if they want to do non-humanoind, they can do so.

  • I see someone has a thing for goblins.

  • Well his chase power has all the slowdowns, cooldowns and attackt difficulty requirements survivors always want from all killers that don't have them so that can't be it.

He must mean the zombies that can randomly down or injure you if you don't pay attention or get very unlucky in chase. Otherwise he's a fun killer to play and face.

  • Nope, this is probably the best chapter for me in while as I'm in love with the killer. I didn't enjoy a killer power this much since I've began to main slinger.

  • That's why killers tunnel the weak links and not good loopers. Tunneling a good looper almost ensures you lose the game and you still might not even get them as long as their teammates help him out.

  • Not that hard, just take the apple addons and use your fountain a bit after you've hooked somone and proxy camp them, repeat twice.

I've done this challenge on my first try on Haddonfied. It's really not that hard if you force it, naturally yeah it's extremely unlikely but if forced it's quite easy with how many survivors are over alturistic.

  • Hardly, to trigger it for very limited duration you need to down and pick up survivor frist. A lot of conditions for a reward that just a couple killers can properly utilise.

As survivors all you need to do is just sit on gens and don't rush to a hook besides obviously just looping the killer or evading him alltogether.

  • No as I'll have fun doing so. I've already P3 Nemesis on the PTB and that's without almost any BP offerings or BBQ. Survivors I don't P3, just get their teachables so I'm not worried at all.

Still, devs could do something about the grind again. It's been a while since the last grind changes and again we've gotten so many more characters that it's startint to become a problem again.

  • LP is the best one, getting into extremely fast early chase is very important for all killers besides knowing where all survivors are precisely has a lot of strategic implications.

Eruption might be ehhhh decent on some killers in some 3 gen situations, otherwise it wastes more time then it spares as you need to get to each gen and kick it which takes time and 6% regression isn't worth all that walking and kicking in most scenarios.

Hysteria is just bad because it activates even if it doesn't apply to anyone and it doesn't trigger of injured survivors getting downed. It either needs big number buffs or updates on trigger conditions.

  • They're great, I love having minions as killer that actually do useful stuff. I wished for AI in DBD for ages, now it's finally here and I'm loving it.

  • Ace might be in D tier due to his perks sucking mostly but he's still S tier in my heart.

  • The downside is the same as Freddy's his power now affects you. Beiing uncontaminated means you have 3 health states vs his power which is extremely stronf if utilised properly.

  • I still don't get how can people consider T3 and good, it's literally just 1 meter increase from 5m to 6m. I've played nemesis extensively and imo it's a waste of time to attempt going for T3 unless survivors literally give it you.

T2 is where all the power is and that one is very easy to reach. Back to the topic, no I don't (nor really care) think zombies should respawn longer. They already roam into dead parts of the map so killing any that get in your way around gens already punishes you since they'll now spawn somewhere you don't need them and if you kill them in areas where they shouldn't be, you're wasting time beiing in those areas.

If T3 gets buffed a lot then sure, make them respawn longer and make T3 even harder to reach but current T3 is a joke imao.

  • You don't chase mindlessly and keep a lookout for important gens + create dead zones to catch survivros off guard in.

  • Both, I love facing them about as much. Good player no matter if he's playing slinger or huntress will dominate chases as long as he's correct on his reads and precise with his power.

It's not like you can't loop either one more then the other, most huntresses and slingers are mediocre so it's easy to abuse their weaknesses (in chase as well) if you don't get out of position and make some good reads on them.

Sure you can't do both but if you cuck his power than he has no reach on his tentacle, wich means his M2 will only hit from up close wich at that point the difference between M2 and M1 isn't that big, will it give you some more hits yes it will but it's not gonna give you the hits that tier 3 gives and tier 3 is where he can effectively anti-loop. Tier 3 is where the Tentacle is the most useful but if he can't get to tier 3 then he is in trouble, he is designed to get to tier 3 so if he can't get there because Survivors can deny it then he is obviously weaker. His Tentacle reach is always less than Pyramid Head, Slinger, Plague, Demo and Trickster and Huntress obviously. Even Wraith might cover more distance with his uncloack lunge vs tier 1 and tier 2 Tentacle, i can be wrong on this one but not by much.

What does it matter if Nemesis can break pallets? It's only an issue if you're Contaminated wich if you are then it's just a normal chase but unlike Demo, Nemesis in tier 2 can't reach as much as Demo's Shredd, so yes he'll break a pallet and so what? If you're not Contaminated then he has to hit you 3 times and if you're Contaminated he still has to hit you 2 times, a normal DbD chase. What does it matter if he breaks the pallet? Him breaking the pallet and not hitting you is better for you in every scenario. If you're injured but not Contaminated then he has to M1, if you're contaminated then he can M2 but depends on distance between you and him after Nem breaks the pallet. So even injured and Contaminated breaking the pallet doesn't mena you insta die, he's not faster than buba using chainsaw and he doesn't reach where Demo reaches so after breaking the pallet you're safer against Nem than you would be against Bubba or Demo.

May I ask what is so good about T3 that T2 doesn't have ? From all the information I gathered, T3 only increases the range of the attack by 1 meter (from 5m to 6m).

From all my games I've never bothered tiering up to T3 since the rewards is completely useless imo and I've utilised T2 just fine, it's where the main power surge is. T3 seem extremely underwhelming when the only benefit of charging it is 1 meter increase to already good enough distance of the whip attack.

I agree with all of this. I think with 2 when killing a zombie you should also get infected so that it poses a risk to the survivor as well. Being able to kill them would make the weak

Ok I love the zombies thinking they don't need any changes but what about this. If you get hit by a zombie they get a 1s stun in which you can do an animation killing them which respawns them instantly somewhere else.

That way, they maintain a lot of danger and advanatages to them while limiting the amount area zoning one lucky zombie can do.

  • Too soon to judge. The power has some good chase potencial so even if it takes a bit to build up properly, it can get very deadly. I'd wait a bit to see how people handle it on both sides before making judgements.

  • Hmm, they're learning. It's a good first step but a couple more things like voice lines etc need to be added to make them worth the legendary price.

I'm sorry but what killer gets free stuff from their power with little to no effort. Every killer has to use their power in some way to get something out of it. And even if there are other killers it's not to the extent of Nemesis power. The zombies do way too much.

Im not saying nerf them into obscurity I'm saying just dile them back a bit. Maybe take away one of the powers from the zombies.

Doc, Freddy, Pig, spirit, plague. Their powers all give bigger harder to avoid passive benefits unlike the zombies that you can avoid extremely easily unless nemesis forces a chase into them.

What exactly is even a issue with them. I've played 4 games and got hit by them only when I wanted to see how they work. They're easy to avoid and roam randomly so it's some extreme good killer RNG if they do anything by themselfs without nemesis making a play around them.

But they seem to do way too much. Free gen pressure, free detection of where the, free hits, free power gain from them. They need to be toned down a bit.

So what, other killers get free stuff from their powers too with little to no effort too. This is first time we got actual AI based power and nerfing it into obscurity is a terrible idea.

There are just 2 zombie and their roaming AI is not great they get stuck very often, you need be quite lucky to get good value out of them vs clever survivors.

  • I love them so much, hopefully don't won't nerf them. They're so cool.

  • They're amazing and you can use them strategically by leading a chase towards a zombie, by themselfs the don!t have the BRAINS (I'll be here all night) to catch a good survivor so no big deal in that department.

  • Quite a few highly experienced killer players consider twins to be either A or S tier. The thing is, they're hard to play so people rank them low because they suck with them.

  • Hey, it's DBD stop having high expectations for lower amount of bugs then usual.

12 seconds of me watching the same mori that happened a million times over

Milion times over ? I didn't see a single mori since the nerfs. I'd hardly remember how some rare ones actually look. You must be lucky to get to see the cool animations so often.

  • Nah, they're great. One of my favourite killers to face as long as they use victor a lot.

The thing is old Wraith was weaker but now it's just too much. He has a crazier lunge then Freddie now and has insane map pressure. So wheres his drawback? Because he takes a second to uncloak? But he has a massive lunge which dismisses that.

The drawback is (if you're not counting the massive slowdown on unclokaking that the lunge speed boost is supposed to mitigate which obviously you aren't) that besides his stealth and mobility he's still just plain M1 killer in chase. You're severly overestimating power of his aftercloack lunge in chase.

Any good looper still dominates wraith in chase just as they do with most killers without strong chase focused power.

Wait, how did you know you're the top of the leader board, what leader board?

Dead By Daylight Playerstats, cosmetics, perk info/randomiser, shrine and more

This is the best site that can show you your DBD statistics if you're interested in that. For deathslinger I just change the perfect games section in top right corner into survivors downed while speared which shows players who have the most downs using slinger's power across all steam players.

I'm usually around stop 20 which is pretty good I might say for playing quite casually.

  • No that doesn't make keys useless enough. They should be as good as new mories which is basically just cool animation.

in Key Rework Comment by Kebek
  • No, it's perfecly fine as it is. People calling bad are people who either don't understand how it works or think it's bad because they saw players misusing it.

  • I hardcore main him since his release and have one of the highest survivors speared downed according to DBD leaderboards. I can safely say that if you play him a lot and constantly improve your gameplay, he's worth learning as you'll be able to beat really good survivor teams as long as you play optimally.

My main tip is very plain but it's the most important one. Play a lot of sliger and understand how his mechanics works, which tiles you can get downs over and which you can't. Very many people don't understand just how many tiles can deathslinger outplay if he plays his cards right.

In terms of perks, you can run anything you feel suits you. I've been playing with Surge, I'm all ears, whispers and 4th perk of choice and I'm doing just fine, you aren't dependant on any specific perk setup.

Another tip is you might want to consider watching how some slinger mains play as you'll learn a lot about special trick shots or how to properly reel people around pallets which is something you need to see to understand properly.

  • @NotYourAverageJay said:

@Kebek Why make that assumption dude I mained him before and Im still a master with him. Its just that hes not good against top survivors and his map pressure isn't that good although he is very good at chases but he cant down people with his gun and the chain has limited range and if you miss you get punished badly. I play deathslinger in a way that I won't get punished as much like I hit a survivor first and then go for a quick scope when I can. Huntress is better in some circumstances since she can down people with her hatchets but what kills her is when you are out of hatchets and have to drop chase immediately to get more because you can't land a basic attack and can also lead to losing the survivor but on the other hand deathslinger can handle that problem pretty well and he doesnt have to drop chase. Im a huntress main (CoconutsRTS wannabe basically)

Well it's your opinion, I'm not taking it from you, just sharning my views as well.

I play a lot of slinger and if I play extremely well I've managed to beat some really good SWF teams who were playing optimally. It'd be lovely to see your gameplay if you consider yoruself master at playing him, I might a learn a thing or two.

  • I take it you just like how Slinger looks (based of your PF pic) but don't play him enough.

Otherwise you woldn't rank him so low. He's leagues above killers like clown, GF, or trickster.

When played well he's high B tier, if really mastered, A tier. But that's just my opinion as much as is yours that he's low C tier.

  • People don't like slugging because it creates pressure and can end games before they get their "deserved" 3 hook states.

If a team recovers from 2-3 slugged survivors, it's a huge blow to the killer but solos rarely manage to do that so it usually result in a killer win.

Besides that, they have to eat dirt for max 4 minutes doing nothing which they understandably don't like.

I like that they're showing stats like this.

I do see a problem in that the % escape rate is based on games where they took it and escaped, even post-nerf. So the escape rate doesn't include people who ran it previously but stopped using it post-nerf. It also doesn't include anything about the week where there was no obsession automatically (because nobody brought DS to those games obviously).

I'd be more curious to see overall average escape rate between the 3 points in time (pre-nerf, post-nerf, post-obsession change), including anybody who ran DS pre-nerf but stopped using it post-nerf.

I do want to add that most people that I see bring DS now seem to be decent at the game, whereas before almost everyone was bringing it regardless of their skill level.

That's why the stats are mainly for fun or to give us a bit of perspective on the numbers behind the perk. It's the same with killer stats, just because killers like pig have high kill rate, doesn't mean they're good compared to actul good killers.

Just because DS's escape rate didn't change doesn't mean we shouldn't look into it more in the future be it buffs or nerfs (imo buff are far more likely at least from my POV).

in DS stats Comment by Kebek
  • Plans for bringing solo survivor experience more to the SWF level with the infromation given to them - basic quotes, totem counter (without using a perk slot), small entity claws (mini-obsession like) for everyone (to notifiy who is getting chased), etc

All the things that SWF has for free and solos could really use to create better game plan.

Besides that, proper MMR that's working (unlike in the past) and Myers update that doesn't ruin his addons.

  • @Zozzy said:

I don't understand the point of this.

Unless you have everyting unlocked on everyone already you aren't supposed to.

It's for people who like to bank on BPs for chapter release so they can put more BP into new killer right away since they don't need BP for anything else (usually).

  • No need to worry, take your time if you can't do it instantly. It's not like we're in a hurry.

  • This should be a good one. Keep it up. 👍️

  • Yes you're right, you aren't doing anything wrong. Just doing your best as you should.

That's why survivors need to accept that tunneling / camping / slugging is exactly the same. What is killer supposed to do, not kill the easiest to chase & kill person and insted chase the healthy or good loopers, playing sub-optimally on purpose. It's the same thing as survivor just walking around doing nothing so that killer doesn't call them genrushers which is dumb.

It's your job as survivors to help each other and prevent strategies like that from working in killer's favor. If you can't do that, just say gg wp and move on insted of shaming killer for beating you.

  • Yes let's nerf the far weaker version of Blight as he's too strong even when compared to him he does everything worse besides stealth.

He's still only decent at best. Some decent mobility, some decent stealth but his chase is at best mediocre. Basically nobody ranks him higher then high C tier and for a good reason.

  • Old Freddy was M1 killer with gimicks + massive slowdown on gens (if he got lucky) which was boring for both sides.

New Freddy is M1 killer with lesser slowdown gimicks, superior chase and a teleport.

In the end both are still boring M1 killers but one is at least strong. The old Feddy was so annoying to face, basic M1 looping, no option for stealth or jukes, massive luck based slowdown.

I'm much happier with new Freddy, I don't see what people liked so much about the old one. He was so boring to play and even more so to play against.

I.. I'm both lost and super entertained. Did the Entity see PH and thought "It would make for a fine servant" but, then accidentally released a parasite on to itself which it now can't seem to be rid of or? You'd think the Entity would be strong enough to kick PH out

I'm not the one to properly explain it, if you're interested go watch Pixel bush entertainment's video on Silent hill as that would make much better job at explaining it then I would. It's really good one as all of his lore videos are.
