One could infer that, yes, but I don't think that's actually the case, since they've confirmed that they are actually planning to do something about it. I'm pretty sure all that's being said there is exactly what Almo wrote - that SWF isn't as much of a problem as people tend to think, not that it isn't a problem at all.
They've also admitted to lying so.....

@HeHeBoii This is for the sake of the game. It is unhealthy for killers like this to be uncounterable. Also will help the clear imbalance when it comes to Killers V. Survivors. These two are way to strong as of right now. tbh they need to nerf Spirit again before these though.
I knew people would say Spirit needs more nerfs. Thanks for proving me right.
Your post screams bias.... I do not want to be one of those types of people but it's obvious you are incredibly survivor biased. So, with that in mind, I'll argue the opposite. Argue that Freddy and Ghostface are strong but it's a good thing. The game would be so boring going against the likes of Legion and Doctor all the time. So, again, it's good they are powerful. It's unhealthy for the game if a survivor can 1 v 1 a killer.
Also, the fact you want Ghostface nerfed says a lot. The inconsistent revealing I can understand but everything else you suggested is terrible.
I don't play as or against Freddy much so won't comment on that
-
It's almost the equivalent to a concede button survivors have asked for.

I dislike playing against Hag more than any other killer.

I said something earlier when I saw her changes. These changes won't be enough to stop people from complaining about her.

I'm not sure if it's a good trend to keep making killers that negate pallets. Survivors would have to bait for a stun to get any use out of them. Otherwise, they will just take the feral frenzy hit and hope Legion run elsewhere because they can't get away.
Legion needs a complete rework. Anything else would just be a bandaid fix and wouldn't cut it.

don't forget that getting 1 shot kills with stuff like plague fully infecting them then hitting them or billy back revving makes your chaser emblem HORRIBLE, you are being punished by being a M2 killer/just using your power
makes sense
Well, not quite. Spirit gains emblem points and bp fairly easily. Same with Wraith. Ghostface one shots and gets good points too. What I would say is that it varies between killers.
Plague is awful at getting points though. Just awful.

true, although noed doesnt seem to be a perk that has any downside to it , considering it relys on you losing, and i understand that it counters adrenaline although not everyone uses adrenaline but the same could be said about not everyone using noed
Killers don't lose until the survivors escape. Survivors don't win until they escape.

If anything they should make it work outside of the custom game lobby too

@AlexisFox said:
Oh boo hoo, so what if a survivor found the hatch and used a key to get out? It's not a 'free escape.'
- They had to do something to cause the hatch to spawn in the first place.
- Complete some number of generators
- Survive longer than anyone else
- They have to use something up.
- The key itself
- An addon for the key
- An offering
Y'all that complain about keys are just acting like entitled little brats whining about how they weren't able to do something they wanted to do because someone else did something to prevent it. It's a game, you aren't going to get your way every single match and if someone prevents you from getting your precious 4 kill then just move on and try again in the next match. I promise you that if you keep trying you'll get a match where you get to murder everyone.
You were the first one to post here in such a condescending "bratty" manner. Practice what you preach. No one was asking for a 4k and your're right that killers aren't entitled to it but the flipside is true as well. Survivors aren't entitled to escape. Keys, oftentimes, are used to get multiple people out at the same time. Also, keys are not that rare. Especially if plunderers instinct is used.
To give you an example: A killer is running an endgame build using remember me, blood warden and the like. Endgame happens with 3 survivors still alive with the obsession having been the one sacrificed. Unbeknownst to the killer, one of the survivors had found a key through whatever means. Killer finds a survivor opening an exit gate and as they approach the survivor they taunt and run to the hatch where the other survivors are and they all jump in. Hatch grabs aren't possible anymore so unless the killer had read their mind there was never any chance for it to have been prevented.
The above just being one example. Hatch escapes with a key are incredibly easy and to argue otherwise is akin to stating that moris are fair and balanced. One person dies and one survivor finds the hatch while looking for gens to do then the rest escape with a key. Even easier if they are on coms.
Person with key is tunnelled and tells his friends to get the key. All the other survivors jump in the hatch.
Finding the hatch is not difficult for the vast majority of maps. It doesn't require outplaying the killer. You just run up to the hatch and press the use item button and you're out.
- They had to do something to cause the hatch to spawn in the first place.
-
Play as Wraith then stand in a corner while cloaked. Don't give them the match they want. If any other killer then just hang out in the basement. Interact with them as little as possible. Once gens are powered open the exit gates so they can't draw it out.
If they message you anything afterwards say gg close game.

yeah i get that but I've had games where he's stalking somebody and I crawl up beside him and am literally touching him but cant reveal him
Your character model blocks you from revealing him. He will a hard time stalking someone up close but survivors can have a hard time revealing him in return. In short, reveal from a shorter distance away and keep him around the center of your camera.
-
Freddy, Billy(again), Hag, and the new killer coming out next in December are likely candidates.

Huge risk with little to no reward.
The killer can see more than the survivor. They should have made it a killer perk.
No, it's still highly rewarding. It will benefit the killer more IF that killer has a stealth ability AND when they use said ability. Otherwise it works as it used too. There are far fewer killers that use stealth than those that don't.
-
Do you play with headphones? Wraith is very noisy for a stealth killer so once you become familiar with how he sounds you can listen out for him.
Also, one thing that helps me when going against Wraith, or any killer, is to take note where the killer can get to me and regularly rotate the camera between each of these areas.

I've gotten tremendously better at situational awareness. Example being, I'm chasing a survivor away from a gen and I hear another survivor starting to repair the same gen. Being aware of that lets me chase that one away too instead of the gen popping as I'm chasing someone else.
Something else I've gotten better at is keeping track of how long I've been chasing someone and leaving if it's taking too long. This leads into what I can improve on which is to not give up chase too soon as it would ruin any pressure I was giving.

Not trying to blame the victim or anything, but why do you think so many killers have it out for JUST YOU and not your teammates? If your just playing the game normal and not trying to be annoying as all hell, you SHOULD be fairly forgettable. That's what I was thinking too. Some people do just randomly decide to hate someone without reason but I wouldn't think it to be common.

Legion Head canon:
Legion is the least ######### up looking characters, so the Entity didn't have to try hard to get them to work with it. Likely threatened to hurt the others to get them to cooperate. The nerfs are Legion 's lack of really trying cause they still are able to resent the Entity's control cause it didn't have to break them.
Sorry, this has been on my mind all day and I had to put it somewhere!
That's my thinking too. Those not as messed up didn't need as much "convincing" to kill and torture for the entity.

Nice dodge. Thanks for letting me know you're a waste of time to argue with.
"Why are you being so confrontational and personal?"
I'm gonna be honest; I mistook you for that other person in this thread "DukeJukem".
But let's be real here, you're doing the exact same thing.
"Lmao really? I play killer 90% of the time.... I'm far from a survivor main. Certain playstyles that Legion had did not have much counterplay. If you deny that then whatever. More your problem than mine."
This was in the comment I responded to. You're being... what's the phrase... passive-aggressive at minimum with that last bit.
"There's no need to attack me. I've laid out my arguement against your post and that's that."
I responded to you, you passive-aggressive moron. I even destroyed all of your entire arguments. Did you just look for the "stupid" part, latch onto that and then write your response?
I absolutely HATE talking with people like you. You think you can talk trash and then not get it in return. You think you automatically deserve respect when being responded to when you be passive-aggressive.
And you didn't answer my proposition, so I guess Spirit stays then. So long as Survivors wish to genrush and always loop the Killer, Killers like Spirit must stay. Simple.
I do not need nor care for the respect of some random internet stranger. Especially one such as yourself with how you have responded to my posts. Also, I was not passive aggressive towards you at all. It was funny that you were assuming my preferences leans towards survivor. Assuming even though I stated I want everyone to have fun as we deserve to. I laughed at this assumption as it was novel then corrected you.
Now for who was in the wrong. YOU were immediately insulting with your first response and continued to be thereafter and have proven yourself to be someone not worth talking to if this is the result. I was not rude to you. I have nothing to prove to you. I don't respond to ultimatums. Especially when I am not at all involved with whether or not aspects of the game are changed. Nor do you get to decide what does and does not happen to the game. Doesn't matter if you think you have "proven" your point. All you've proven is how confrontational and rude you are. Goodbye

"Certain playstyles that Legion had did not have much counterplay."
Oh, you mean "tunneled via Frenzy"? Buddy, that was a trash strategy. Sure, it MIGHT get the Survivor downed, but it took so damn long that gens would get popped. Legions were discouraged from doing it as a result.
And if you're going to do the even more stupid "YoU CaN'T EsCaPe FrEnZy" whenever someone got hit and you were revealed via Killer Instinct... because y'all didn't know how to ######### RUN IN STRAIGHT LINES... or run ANY exhaustion perk.
Legion's power was absolutely useless if Survivors scrammed. It was easy to outrun.
Deep Wound tunneling, trapping someone in Deep Wound and then downing them with a hit when they couldn't move, and moonwalking are some of the only valid complaints. Plus the blade exploit. The way the devs handled this was absolutely awful and made Frenzy a non-existent threat.
"As for Spirit, survivors do not like and have a difficult time versing Spirit as there is very little feedback with her power."
Because you're stupid and don't actually watch the damn Spirit you're going up against whenever she does chases.
Bad to average Spirits tend to move in predictable ways, and not being able to see Spirit when she's vaulting is the STUPIDEST complaint imaginable. If Spirit does not appear after a few seconds, she is most likely phasing. Simple.
"There are counters and I've written a small novella of said counters but that doesn't mean they are reliable."
And they shouldn't. Because then elite Survivors will always go for that safe tactic and be able to loop Killers for multiple gens.
I have a proposition: I'll let Survivors nerf Spirit and Nurse... in exchange for gen times, looping and genrushing being nerfed. Sound fair?
If you don't agree with this, then Spirit stays. Period. You don't get to ruin the game for one side while keeping your side fun.
Why are you being so confrontational and personal? There's no need to attack me. I've laid out my arguement against your post and that's that. If you disagree then so be it but there is no need to be devisive and insulting.

Found the person who drops pallets and then runs away from a obviously phasing Spirit, leaving scratch marks everywhere, doesn't vault and then complains about "NO COUNTERPLAY" when they get inevitably hit.
Thanks for also confirming the "no counterplay" complaints are stupid as well by comparing Spirit to Legion. Legion had counterplay, which MANY people repeatedly told y'all. You Survivor mains didn't listen.
There is quite a few things you can do against Spirit. Iron Will helps, but there are mindgames involving pallets. Moving in odd directions, vaulting pallets and fast vaults when you predict the Spirit's movements is another.
A few of her add-ons need tweaking, but prayer beads need to stay for that achievo/trophy involving gen grabs. She's definitely skilled and not "luck-based".
Lmao really? I play killer 90% of the time.... I'm far from a survivor main. Certain playstyles that Legion had did not have much counterplay. If you deny that then whatever. More your problem than mine.
As for Spirit, survivors do not like and have a difficult time versing Spirit as there is very little feedback with her power. There are counters and I've written a small novella of said counters but that doesn't mean they are reliable. I mained Spirit since she was released until about a few weeks ago when I realised that I hardly ever got less than a 4k unless the last one found hatch. I also realised that survivors really do hate going against her and all the complaints weren't just venting/hot air.
Now I play a lot of Ghostface and do very well with him too.
I want the survivors to have fun too (as long as they aren't dick heads).
-
@LittleLiam said:
Don't get me wrong, she's nowhere near as busted as moon-walking legions were or prayer bead Spirits are now. She's just not fun.
Just by being in the game and being herself, she cancels out Every heal perk and most stealth perks in the game. Most of which are commonly taken in to trials. Which is frustrating on its own. But as a solo player, she's an entire other level of annoying.
There's no communication between teammates. I know there's still a bunch of back and forth in strategy on cleanse vs don't cleanse but there's no consensus when it comes to playing solo without talking together. And alls what it takes is one person to go against it and it throws the whole strategy off. At least with SWF you can choose your strategy on how you handle things and if things don't work out it doesn't work out.
If I were to fix it...Tbh It should work a lot like Freddys generator power. It should charge up incredibly slowly (or even not at all) at base but have a faster charge for every player infected. Infection now has a timer that runs out. If you weren't fully sick you will return healthy but if you were you will still be injured.
Cleansing stops the plague from charging off you but puts half the time you had left into charge as you're putting your sickness into the fountain. That means it's in your best interest to cleanse as quick as possible to get your health back as well as stopping the killer from getting double charge off of you over time. And it's in the plagues best interest to keep everyone as sick as possible. The fountain remains pure even after use.
Pallets, gens, and infected players, will still be contaminated but it will only raise your sickness while you are interacting with the object. Saves and pallets will give you a little more to make them fair as you only touch them for a moment and it would be kinda bad for the killer to give you Zero penalty for using it.
When the bar is full, all fountains turn into corrupt ones during the duration of corrupt purge and she automatically gains the corrupt purge without going to a fountain, and the cycle repeats.
Maybe it can be put on a button trigger to make it more skillful but it would have to have a small charge animation so you don't instantly down the survivor with a range attack and give them some sort of chance.
Spirit is the new Legion with how often she is complained about and having little counterplay

Why wouldn't the Killer have a similar mechanic ?
Something like "if the Killer has not killed anyone during the match the next person they injure will be downed instantly and be open for a mori".
Why not ?
Interesting but I don't see this being a thing. Also, others may say that NOED pretty much does what you're suggesting.

It's rather easy to tell who's swf and who isn't. The level of coordination and communication put on display makes it obvious. Yet, 'I'm solo' seems to be the prevalent remark when called out on it. You can't double check on their profiles, because they always keep them on private. I don't play swf myself, no friends interested in the game, and a killer main on top of that. So, I don't have the mindset. Why deny it?
I'm not saying there aren't the rare survivors out there that just click, but again, with enough playtime experience, it's not hard to spot the solos from the swf.
I'm going to actually try and answer your question. My best guess would be that there is a stigma towards swf so to avoid getting attacked they deny it. That or they are thinking "why tip my hand" in regard to how well they play (good or bad).

Sounds interesting. Maybe it could happen to killers as well.
The husks are shown to include famous killers from all the previous centuries and folk lore are revealed with some well known and less known survivors from those same periods.
When I think of the void I imagine Coldharbour from the Elder Scrolls in how souls are drawn there and become Soul Shriven.
-
@twistedmonkey said:
I would like the lore to lead up to an ending but.........The ending isn't real it's all a just a twisted dream.
One by one they start to escape the entity into a new realm which they beleive to be heaven. After years of suffering everything is peaceful with friends and family around but things start to feel wrong and the faces of killers appear on loved ones as they slowly wake up to the reality of their situation.
They soon start to realise the Entity still has them and has moved them to a bigger scarier realm with maps that change and evolve as the game progresses with more ways to die and more objectives needed to escape.
All the stories end with Dead by Daylight 2. Hope leads to even more suffering.
My end was a lot darker. In the story mode it would follow the survivors until they lost all hope and were cast to the void as soulless husks
