Yup. I'm just relaying what I saw a dev say. It's in the thread titled "Why?"

I don't even use ruin until purple ranks. But I have been playing survivor to learn that side and enjoy playing with friends. And I see rank 16 killers running ruin, bbq and pink add ons. Why at 16?
Overkill, that's definitely overkill

I'm also going to hit you with: since when have survivors who don't use self-care ever been afraid of 4 extra seconds of added healing from sloppy, or a few extra seconds of mending against Legion?
Anti-heal has been proven to be ineffective against the best survivors, specifically the ones that can loop you for 5 gens while injured. But we're not always going to be facing the best survivors. People make mistakes.
They weren't afraid of those perks. Legion was crap even when he benefited from them. We are in agreement here. It just sucks to lose even that.
We keep trying to make Legion work even after all these nerfs. Those perks were one of the last few things left. This patch made them speedy again and get even easier first hits but so do a lot of other killers who either do it better or can get downs easier.
Thanks for trying and if you enjoy this iteration of Legion then awesome. I'm glad someone does.

I like that the new DW actually prevent survivors from just ignoring it as long as they are in the TR and just work on objectives or help their teammates. You can only run or mend. If they run, they leave scratch marks and don't recover exhaustion. If they mend they are not doing anything usefull for 12 seconds and then have to consider healing.
I don't care much about Feral Frenzy no longer being a basic attack. I never understood why so many Legion players tought STBFL was so great. What I do miss however is the Dark Devotion synergy. It was a fun and surprisingly effective build that took advantage off a very under used perk.
Now that the devs have normalized basic attacks on all killer, maybe they'll look at perks that require basic attacks that nobody use and changes some of them to any attack instead.
You can still interact with things until your timer is low. I've worked on a gen at 85 or 90% in a Legions face who stabs me in Frenzy. I continue working on the gen so he stabs me again and becomes stunned then I finish the gen as he stares at his hands in bewilderment. I'm downed but there was jack all that poor Legion was able to do other than watch me repair that gen.

The gain is 3-4 thana stacks faster than you could achieve before, and people either wasting time healing (if they can, you could use the broken pin) while you chase or dealing with a 16% repair slowdown while you chase. Is it that great? No, they're still (mostly) an M1 killer. Can you get those stacks faster and more consistently than before? Yes.
This patch is a sidegrade for a killer that's already a sidegrade of Plague. You trade mend time delay for more consistent injuries and thus more consistent thana delay. You trade passive infection for active, instant injuries and a shorter character model that has more mindgame potential on certain loops.
Now the main issue is: Legion isn't ever rewarded extra for succeeding with their power. Plague occasionally gets Corrupt Purge when people cleanse and the coughing/puking is more audible than a standard injury. So the real question is, in my opinion: What should Legion get for successfully hitting multiple survivors multiple times in a single FF, if anything?
Were survivors ever afraid of thana before? No, they were not. It's a mild inconvenience at best. Also, perks shouldn't make the power. The power should be powerful.

They can't do generators while DW anymore. So instant mending will be the standard. Which means either going into a very long cooldown, or chasing after someone else while they mend and potentially heal and maybe not finding them again for a long while.
Yes they can still do gens while deep wounded. It's until the timer is low that they have to

You keep referring to the FF streak but I'd say that actually makes Legion better. People who decide to mend close to the action get hit again and have to repeat the process, wasting even more of their time. Doubly so if they decide to fully heal and get hit again because of their greed.
I'm not saying Legion is great or anything, but you're really not seeing this as the sidegrade it is rather than a straight nerf like you're making it out to be. I was extremely skeptical of the change before it went live, and I found it to be better than pre-patch Legion.
I think what we need now is for the mend timer to dramatically drop whenever a survivor touches a generator. That way no one can do what you think is going to become meta against them.
Bouncing back and forth also wastes Legions time. So, what's the gain?
-
@DWolfAlpha said:

Yes but they HAVE to mend now. The only way to get the timer to stop is to either loop the killer or not be useful.

They HAD to mend before too. It changes nothing.
As Ulven said. Nothing really changed. It's a sidegrade. You can still repair gens, sabo hooks or whatever until the deep wound timer is low. Only until it's low is there pressure to mend.
Survivors can still loop Legion because the timer stops while they are running.

Well, let me put it to you this way:
If you just press m1 and hit a healthy survivor once, that survivor is now injured.
If you use FF and hit a healthy survivor once, that survivor is now injured and also has Deep Wounds.
If you press M1 on an injured survivor without Borrowed Time, they go down.
If you press M1 on an injured survivor with Borrowed Time, they get Deep Wounds instead of going down.
So, if you're hitting a healthy survivor, using FF is better than just pressing M1, because FF has a secondary effect, in addition to injuring the survivor. And if the survivor just stays injured so you can't injure them again with FF, then they're essentially giving you a free NOED; even for a killer with no power, that's strong.
The secondary effect is negligible....

Except clown can end a loop faster then average at least. Legion's power can get a hit...and then wait 4 seconds while they get away and possible duck around a corner and loose them because you can't see scratch marks or blood.
Just tested this. Scratches and blood don't come back until after the 4 second stun

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/888642#Comment_888642
The main difference between Borrowed Time and Feral Frenzy is that Borrowed time prevents you from going down a health state, while Feral Frenzy applies the Deep Wounds debuff in additon to injuring the survivor, thus forcing them to waste time mending, in addition to healing.
Also, when playing Legion, I often find that the increased vault speed allows me to land first hits that I otherwise couldn't. So I don't think he's useless, or even the worst killer. I think that title belongs to Clown, because at least Legion's power lets him bypass windows and pallets, slow down objective completion, and detect survivors instead of just relying on guesswork. The only thing Clown has is a mediocre tool to shorten loops slightly.
No, they are the same thing. You're always injured when under the effect of borrowed time. It's the middle ground between injured and being downed.

Be honest. It's been a punishment since the rework. I actually prefer survivors mending quickly compared to them just ignoring it. Plus, if they mend during your FF, killer instinct activates on them and you can inflict the button statuses on them. Now, if only said status effects weren't garbage...
I do miss og Legion, but it seems their purpose is now to just slow the game down, which they do just a little better now than before.
No, they don't stall better than before. Mend time was reduced and the knife add ons were nerfed.

Every Legion player wanted this change? Really? I didn't. I doubt many others did too looking at all the threads asking the Devs the heck were they thinking doing this. The speed doesn't make up for everything else. Legion's power does nothing other than injure people which most ignore anyway. They have been made more add-on dependent and useless. Most perks do nothing for them anymore. You might as well just m1. Heck, my two Legion rework threads didn't have this crap in them and they were massive. You can't just say "Every Legion player" wanted something.
Yes, their power injures people. Exactly what a basic attack does. Incredible! Absolutely incredible!
But it doesn't stop there! It also buffs survivors with the borrowed time effect.
Wait! It's supposed to stall right? Nah, that was nerfed when it wasn't even a useful part of their power to begin with.
-

I don't see how when every Legion player ever wanted this change. ๐
It's a sidegrade. Survivors can still loop Legion after being buffed from a frenzy attack. It only helps with preventing survivors from doing interactions when their DW bar is low. They're free to do gens, run around, or whatever until then.
Get this, deep wound and borrowed time are the same effect. Only difference is in how it's applied right? Borrowed time is considered to be a powerful survivor perk. So, why does a killer apply a buff to who they should be trying to kill? Might as well play survivor rather than playing as Legion.
All you get from frenzy is information which is only marginally useful. Legion can't even stall anymore.
Before you argue that their faster now. Great, you can catch up to the survivor. Now what do you do? Eat a 4 second stun while the survivor runs away.

Legion's m1 game is not bad. They are silent and their height is the lowest (exception - pig and gf crouching), you actually can catch people, midgame them.
Nah, Wraith is a better m1 killer. Also, they may be short but they aren't silent. Their boots and breathing are loud.

If you're playing a killer that can hide their terror radius or Freddy, I suppose. But otherwise, I can't see it really changing anything. The amount of people that went down to Deep Wounds before was incredibly low. It's not really meant to down them as much as it's meant to delay them, and it still does that. Dare I say it does that even better since you can't do a generator while within the killer's terror radius now.
Legion needs to be reworked. You all should never have mixed deep wound and borrowed time

Legion is not about lethality, he is about pressure and information, and he is good in these things.
4 second stun? It feels very bad and I wrote that devs should increase reduction on add-ons to old numbers (0.35/0.5/0.75 seconds were, now 0.2/0.4/0.6 reduction is awful.)
Okay? If he isn't meant to be lethal in any way then how are they supposed to be the killer? Notice that I said they are not lethal directly or indirectly
-
They move fast but still have the 4 second stun.
You caught up to the survivor. Now what? They run away while you look at your hands and scream. Their power is directly and indirectly non-lethal. You can't down with it nor can you use it to help down someone.
If there was any doubt about Legion being the worst.... Well he most definitely is now.

I can't believe you did it. Good job. You have successfully made me lose all faith in BHVR and any hope that you listened to your community. All of this feed back and what do we get? The Deep Wound Changes... the Legion getting all that taken from them with just some movement speed to try and make up for it... even the Oni nerf in a small way, since you gave him no time to settle in like you said you would. Giving Legion the movement speed while removing all threat of Deep Wound... what? It's like you are giving us maggots to eat and expecting us to be happy cause "At least it's something." Are we supposed to be happy about the movement speed cause "At least it's something"? All these "Buffs" are just nerfs you slapped on Legion for no reason and are reverting. The Add-on changes are negligible.
Survivors can get hit with Feral Frenzy and just run around. Something that is supposed to be them bleeding out from a wound deep enough they have to put pressure on it to stop the bleeding... and they can run around no problem. Survivors run around anyway in matches so this is literally harmless, it's basically a free health state. You didn't even reduce Deep Wound Timer, You didn't even revert the reduction to mend times... You made Legion even weaker, cause none of you know how to handle their power or the Deep Wound mechanic which was flawed to begin with. You couldn't just replace Deep Wound. No, you just made Legion's power literally a punishment to ever use. You made walking after people and M1ing the best strategy.
So yea.... You did it. You made me give up. You killed The Fanatical Legion Main. Congratulations. I no longer want to play. I no longer want to support this game at all.
Was wondering what you thought of it. It's disgusting.

I agree with your idea. Sounds much cooler than simply walking over the ledge

No, but the perk can't be called Balanced Landing if it doesn't balance your landing.
It does balance your landing when you aren't exhausted. Now, it ALSO, mutes the sound from falling. Stop complaining, the perk is still very powerful.
Also, the benefit BL has over sprint burst is that you can choose when to use it.

I just want you to explain how did the changes to legion and nurse make them more fun playing as.
If you want me to be honest, I wouldn't say the change made him more fun to play as but more fun to play against.
You see, old Legion had a lot wrong with him, and survivors had no counterplay. Every chase against a Legion puts a survivor on a timer that they cannot control with their skill โ they would eventually go down due to FF hits.
Who thinks facing an opponent that renders your skill useless is fun? I certainly don't.
However, BHVR needed a quick solution, and they had to sacrifice some of the killer's fun for make playing against more enjoyable. Admittedly, they should've taken more time to finish the job rather than leaving them like that for a while, but I will assume they were short on time and needed a temporary solution.
Now, with the current buffs on the PTB, he's fun to play as and against โ that's BHVR's goal. Sure, it's not perfect, but they are a lot better than before. ๐๐ค
Now, Nurse and this is great for me because I actually main her โ I can give you a 100% unbiased opinion.
The cool-down on her blinks make landing her blinks feel more rewarding because you have to use them sparingly, you can't use them mindlessly and expect good results.
I can understand how waiting to use your blinks is really lame because you're just sitting there waiting for your blink to recharge. However, it would either be this or longer fatigue, according to the developers โ adding a cool-down is definitely preferable for the majority.
Lastly, her add-ons are pretty unique and offer more fun combos to her โ they are easier to use unlike before. Sure, some add-ons are terrible and need desperate changes, I'm not going to sugar coat it, but all in all, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives with Nurse. ๐ค๐
As what @Spooky13 said "The removal of synergy with STBFL and Sloppy Butcher allows survivors to completely ignore being injured."
I understand this is being changed for the same reason it was changed for Pig. To make how these perks work universal.
Legion's synergy with these perks are what made Frenzy somewhat worth using. Now, there is even less of a reason to heal against Legion which destroys his power as that IS his power. That being injuring people. You could say that killer instinct is enough of a reason to use it but it's not. The 4 second stun makes using Frenzy to catch up to survivors negligible. Also, it's not hard finding survivors which also limits how useful killer instinct is.
Another upcoming change that hurts Frenzy is to mending times. They have been called a stalling killer but that part of them is being nerfed too. Including their mend add-ons. The increased speed coming with the next patch is nice and is one thing people have asked for but doesn't help much, if at all, to compensate for the above. With that in mind it's easy to come to the conclusion that they are being nerfed again.
I hardly ever saw Legion before so now there will likely be even less once people have finished trying out these new changes. Perhaps that is their goal? Make them so bad that nobody will as play them. If no one plays as them then no one complains about how unfun they are. Though that's not something that would be admitted to. We'll just get "we'll continue to monitor these new changes and adjust as needed."
Tldr: Get ready to move fAsT for a few seconds then eat a 4 second stun bois! Cause that's all we got...
Legion is the reason why someone should be worried as to how BHVR will handle any killer changes. It's been horrible...
-
The grabbing is even worse now? Awesome. It was already bad.

Yes, let's punish survivors for doing their objective and buffing the killer for failing theirs! Epic! :)
Shoddy logic there ygnea. The Killers have not failed until the survivors have successfully escaped. Powering gens is only one part of the escape process. Therefore, it doesn't buff killers for failing.
