You're choosing to screw over your teammates just because you refuse to play the map. emphasis on *you* choosing not to play hence it being a you problem.

I'm the rank 15 survivor and not swf with the red ranks. The red ranks died to a rank 13 killer...

Yeah, I use Legion regularly and I can reliably 4k and get Iri emblems with them.
It's harder to rank as killer because they are alone while It's easier to rank as survivor because they can be carried by their team. That causes there to be a wide skill margin between red rank survivors.
For example, any survivors lower than purple rank are usually pretty easy for me even as weaker killers.
In short, any killer can seem good against bad survivors.

People who are opening those Threads are just there for the attention. And well, Killer Queues are way longer than Survivor Queues.
I guess those Survivors quitted the game because of the constant Survivor Nerfs for years (which is true btw.). But this nonsense is only allowed and upvoted when people are writing that about Killers.
Que times vary depending on the time of day and from region to region. Though, my ques as killer are always instant while I usually have to wait a few minutes in survivor que. So, by your logic there is actually less killers than there used to be. If there is an excess of survivors then survivor que times will be longer.

slowing the game down is one of the most important aspects of this game. Without a decent game slow down you are going to get all the gens done in a matter of only a few minutes.
the legion, when combined with Thanatophobia, is really good at this, as survivors are now forced to eigther be oneshot and work slowly, or to heal up and waste tons of time, especially due to how easy it actually is for Legion to get them injured again.
their chase ability is also rather basic, but you can see them as a killer with a constant instadown. as legion there very rarely ever is someone healthy in front of you - and if they are you press M2 and get them injured immediately, aswell as receiving a positionreveal of everyone around you. so basically every chase you do is against injured players, meaning you can instadown anyone.
also lets not forget their small playmodel! thats something thats being overlooked a lot, yet this really helps at mindgaming survivors.
they are definitely not the best killer, they are at best mid tier, but they are still not a horribly bad killer and i would rank both Bubba and Clown beneath them.
you should definitely go and watch Otzdarva play them a bit - he is actually really good at Legion (and watching his gameplay did change my mind about this killer aswell - prior to this i did share your opinion)
The way you try to talk about the positives of Legion reminds me of how people talked about old Freddy. He was an awful killer but some people managed to develop a play style with him and did well. Despite that niche he was still considered the weakest.
Some people might be able to do well with a killer but that doesn't mean they are in a good spot. If a person understands the mechanics of the game well enough they could be great as any role and any killer such as Tru3, Otzdarva, and Monto.

i get matched regularly against Legion though, doesn’t seem that rare to me.. maybe thats a regional/time thing?
we are really not in a place to say the statistics are not enough or they are, we kinda have to trust the devs here..
they can’t really reveal statistics because even then, people will twist it in ways to show their opinion was right all along.
It's surprising to hear someone say they go against Legion regularly.

i honestly dont think Legion is that bad of a killer.
yeah he isnt great and he does get outshined by many others, but his ability to slow the game down should not be underestimated.
i dont think a rework is necessary at all at the moment - a few smaller buffs however would be nice, such as shortening the fatigue or increasing the Freal Frenzy time / recovery speed (or, ya know, removing the aspect that you lose half of your power just for hitting someone).
also id say the punishment he receives for missing a swing in FF is a little much - getting broken out of your power? fine. but immediately losing all your power at once aswell as being broken out of it? thats a little harsh imo.
@Mooks said:
They stated they dont plan to rework or even tweak Legion in the near future. And they said Legion performs pretty balanced compared to other killers according to their statistics.
Slowing the game down does very little when it comes to actually fulfilling the killer's objective which is.... To kill the survivors. Otherwise they are just m1 killers. Even Trapper and Wraith have more going for them despite also being m1 killers.
It seems that hardly anybody actually plays as Legion which should say a lot. Which brings up another question. How do they know Legion is fine if the sample size is so small? But, if they think Legion is fine then what can we do?
To me, they seem to be in a very bad place. There have been a few members of the forum who said they enjoy Legion but the feeling I get is they are the vocal minority. Maybe, I just need to accept that I don't like Legion and just ignore them. That'd be a shame though.

I never understood getting all T3 perks without prestiging either. It feels like a new movement from the newer generations of players who can't or don't want to deal with the grind of 2020 with all the content we've received almost 4 years later, so yeah, in a sense prestiging is a much greater task than it was way back when.
However, even if it is, it still feels hella incomplete if you T3 perks without prestiging. Prestiging gives you a greater likelihood of rarer items in your bloodwebs there is a direct benefit beyond the P3 outfit pieces you get after every prestige. Especially if that character is your main and you play them frequently, if you T3 all perks and later down the line you decide to P3 you will have wasted a TON of bloodpoints and time.
It's even worse because then you're getting all perks, eventually deciding to P3, and then get all perks.
And I mean, think about it this way, if you P3 there is NOTHING left to do afterward. There is no P4, once you make it to P3 you're good and you get the benefit of everything. It's the end of the line so to speak, now you all you need to do is maintain your character with add-ons, offerings, etc.
and I mean, since you're playing DBD why not? There's no compaign, not everyone likes the diversity of the challenges of the archives, so why not give yourself your own goals? Like P3-ing certain and specific characters you enjoy.
I got my main survivors and killers to p3 first as well as all perks. Now I'm working on p3ing the rest of the killers.

i understand what youre saying but the constant coms will hurt so many killers, like i said i dont wanna take swf away but there needs to be a de-buff. some reason i only seem to verse swf running all meta yet in my solo survivor games no one runs meta, does gens or even lead on a chase and its honestly so damn weird. im not saying a huge de-buff just a little bit to negate all that info they can pass versing certain killers or just all killers in general
You're suggestion of de-buffing or nerfing swf has been suggested multiple times. It will never be implemented.
One good reason I recall having vern given is that it punishes people for wanting to play with their friends. Even if they were to nerf swf the workaround would for the group to lobby dodge in regular que until they are in the same lobby. Which is exactly what survivors did before swf was in the game.

It is an anti tunnel perk since its only activation requirement is to get off the hook whether you get pulled off or you pull yourself off
Your post reminded me of something. When somebody unhooks themselves, with or without deliverance, it won't count towards devour hope. That is intentional but should it be changed so that it works even if they unhook themselves?

I didn't say that either. This post is about "it is not a valid argument". But it is as the screenshot from the post clearly states that this was the purpose.
And the only official statement to that was by Peanits saying "we never said that, this is a community idea" while referring the thread that clearly said that. And arguing that people "think what someone said" is not a base for an argument, but this post is pretty much the base for their arguing.
If they say, it was intended as anti tunnel but we changed our mind and we are happy with the offensive DS playstyle, that would be fine. Saying people arguing with "anti tunnel perk" have no point is not fine.
I get where you are coming from and I agree with you. My intent was to explain how your point could be argued against.
Original intent is irrelevant as it can change.

It is still the same outcome, no matter how you describe it: the perk protects you from quick downs off the hook. The reason behind it is irrelevant. I could also say there is no tunnel without the killer being around. Doesn't really matter if the survivor pulls the killer to the hook or if the killer decides to stay at the hook. It also doesn't matter if it is a smart or a d**k move at that moment. The perk should protect you from that situation.
And once again: this post is about denying that "anti tunnel perk" is a valid argument to complain. The post from Horvath gives the purpose of being an anti tunnel perk. This "idea" is not coming from the community. The complaints are about the invincibility that allows you to do stupid stuff that would normally without that perk be punished. And with that initial description of being "protective" is reason enough to take it as argument when people use it offensively.
Or let me try it from the opposite side: No one ever mentioned the perk to have the purpose to give you one minute invincibility
Unfortunately, your arguement about intent is akin to killers exclaiming that looping wasn't intended. Killers stating that it's exploiting the survivor's smaller hitbox that allows looping to happen as it does currently.
Looping may not have been foreseen by the devs but they decided to roll with it.
What I'm trying to get at is just because something was done or made with a specific intent in mind doesn't mean that intent can't be changed or expanded.

-
@Clevite said:
Why the obsession with tbagging, I mean who cares? It's a pixelated character squatting.
I myself only do it if you are straight tunneling me or a teammate. And I mean as soon as unhooked, only to just start chasing me again and again. You will get my tbag if you chased me for 5 gennys and a noed cleanse.
But that must be what you want, right?
Why else would you spend the whole game chasing 1 person. Probably thirsty by now with all that sweating.
As killer, I couldn't care less about a tbag. I play my game with my strategies, and know I will eventually probably kill you.
If you get out, I'll be breaking pallets for two minutes.
You answered your own question. If it is just pixels then why bother t bagging when you or a teammate are tunnelled?

The plethora of second chance perks and how they interact together and with the end game needs to be looked at. Legion is broken in that they are a weak killer who are annoying for survivors to go against.
Second chance perks being borrowed time, decisive strike, for the people and so on. Separately, these perks are fine. Except for DS which is and has been awful when used certain ways (hopping in lockers/working on gens in front of killer).

This is another point I like to point out, killers always say the game should be balanced around the "best" survivors, but when people even come close to saying it should be balanced around the best killers too, it always ends up being "but I'm not like xxx streamer who is an experienced killer".

Never ran ruin always been rank one, always had consistent +2 kills, I think a lack of skill on the killer side is the biggest factor in this game, there just aren't very many good players playing killer.
Senzu.... You've played DBD far more than the majority of people on the forums. So, what is your point exactly when you state how good you are at the game? It's like when someone uses popular twitch streamers to try and make a point. DBD twitch streamers are NOT the average player and neither are you.

@SurviveByDaylight said:
remove Mori’s, Nerf keys (they can still open black locks though)
I think once a survivor is down to 3 gens an alternate escape route should always be made available granted they have the key for it. 3 gens is too ez for killers to patrol.
Why do survivors deserve an almost free alternate escape if they failed the primary objective? Keep in mind that two survivors can escape after failing their objective with only 3 gens completed... I'm asking this after having learned from your post history that you're very survivor sided so try to put yourself in the shoes of a killer main. I'm all for mori's being reworked or removed but keys need to go too.
A good compromise, if they won't be removed, would be to nerf keys so that only one person jumps through per key. It would close after that survivor has jumped through. Every survivor could have their own key but they'd have to each open the hatch. If you don't agree with that nerf how would you nerf them?
Mori's could be nerfed to being an alternate way of killing a survivor on their final hook. Iri hatchets need nerfed too. Perhaps, nerfed to be akin to The Deathslinger's iri where it's a one shot if hit from 15 meters or more away.

Survivors getting moried and the Killer going against a 4 man swat team are good examples of what I mean.

Not during the day. You wait 5-10m for a red rank killer game. Survivor Q is instant during the day. Killer Q is only instant at night.
It will depend on the individuals region. Some regions will have more killers while others will have more survivors at different times of the day.
Which way the survivor vs killer pendulum swings is also a large factor.
-
No, this is not a good idea.
-
The arguments here seem to be about whether or not DS should be able to be used offensively. Personally, I do not think it should.
If it should be a defensive perk only then something needs to be changed. Though, with how many arguments this one perk has caused perhaps it should be changed into something completely different.

All the Killers are Humanoid and probably made very similarly, some of them even share animations.
A spider wold require making it from scratch. The model would have to be in similar shape to other killers making sure it loops and doesn't clip trough walls and doorways and get stuck if it had a bigger hitbox. and then there's the Gameplay, where would the camera go, you'd need a camera higher than a vault at least so the spider would probably have to be pretty big for that and that brings you back to the shape issue with clipping.
Basically anything that wouldn't fit in an upright rectangle probably wouldn't work.
Obviously, it would split the camera view into eighths

Balance seems better than ever for the most part. Killers that still moan about survivors probably just can't deal with getting anything less than a 4k. Personally I got so bored of playing killer lately I started playing survivor again and I'm honestly shocked how many rank 1 killers respect pallets like their life depended on not getting stunned. Those are probably the people who complain about survivors.
What's also amusing is how many survivors will throw down a pallet if you just stand there staring at them for a bit. They then immediately leave the pallet. It's a great way to start a mind game. Do the above for 1 to 2 pallets then hit through the 3rd.
On a side note people have been dcing against Oni after getting downed from his power. Then complain that he's OP. Especially if I hit them as they vault or before they throw a pallet down.

If you are having trouble playing killer in 2019 that's on you.
You are certainly the minority as shown in statistical information or by any streamer.
Otz just played 16 games of trapper without Ruin and brown add ons and 0 games were 5 gens completed
Otz plays this game for a living. People like that should not be who is used to argue things are in a good spot. Do you play the game for a living. Does the OP? Probably not.
If the cues are had for survivor it means there aren't enough killers. So OP is obviously not in the minority if there are less killers.

I think the recent changes were really unnecessary but I'm glad that someone else is at least enjoying the changes :)
I feel that FF not being a basic attack makes complete sense in that it's the same treatment every killer got. They wanted to make power attacks and basic attacks separate. Doesn't help Legion but it was only a matter of time.
My problem with it is that they did not do much to compensate. Speed is nice but doesn't help with Legion struggling to get downs. The only reason it is a big deal is because it was one of the few things Legion had synergies with.
Tldr: Legion needs a rework
