The Hallowed Blight event is close to having Legacy skins.
Legacy skins were given to loyal player base during that time for the crazy grind.
It's the same way when you pre-order a game and is given certain benefits. That you only get when pre-ordering.
Yet it wasn't a preorder. DbD was up for a while and has already proven itself to be something good. Also, weren't people who attended PAX events or farmed event skins "loyal" enoigh? Or they are different and not worthy of having their skins kept to them? Or legacy owners are better? Then why do BHVR even mention "equality" in their posts?
That's hypocrisy, no matter what words you use to justify it.

I admit, I did not read your post, but there is one thing which is clear:
Legacy was given to players who played the game in a time where nobody knew if it would survive. With more Grind, less BP Offerings and so on.
Event Exclusives where obtainable by playing the game. Yes, some people act like you have to sell your grandma to get those cosmetics, but nope, you just have to play the game. And there is no reason why someone who did not play DBD should be excluded.
Way different from Legacy.
>Legacy was given to players who played the game in a time where nobody knew if it would survive. With more Grind, less BP Offerings and so on.
Legacy were distributed after Halloween chapter release, which made pretty clear that the game will last long.
>Event Exclusives where obtainable by playing the game. Yes, some people act like you have to sell your grandma to get those cosmetics, but nope, you just have to play the game. And there is no reason why someone who did not play DBD should be excluded.
Legacy could be owned by playing the game aswell, what a surprise. Yes, it took more time, but let's be honest, if you wanted to grind BP in DbD 2016, you could do it with a little effort by some abuses, which I'm not going to name here, but nobody was banned for them for sure. Also, first bloodhunt or double BP which made getting those last prestiges hit even easier.
Once again, you are having the same hypocritical mindset: legacy is different because it took more to get than other ex-exclusive skins, but in the end we all keep sticking into that "exclusivity" like it matter much, which actually doesn't, which was shown by throwing event skins and buyable exclusives to everyone.
Be consistent, people. I (and many others) wouldn't have said anything if exclusive skins weren't given out in the first place, yet they were. So let's be consistent here.

Her crouch needs to be a press and hold. As you press the crouch button she will crouch down while still moving 115%, once fully crouched holding the button will enter stealth mode at 95% or what ever it is, or releasing the button instantly starts the dash with the roar/scream but no windup noise like it has now. This would at least help a little.
sounds very clunky honestly

Yes not popping gens sure hurts the Pig 😉
I guess you lack something to understand that nothing stops survivors from 99ing gens and thus prolonging moment of RBT activation which is often enough to ensure survivor can search even 6 boxes while walking.

Her power is not fine. She doesn't just need an addon pass, she needs either a rework to address most problems I've named in the head post or huge buffs.

I wouldn't say her traps are under survivors' control. Survivors have no control over which box gets it off. Its all RNG based.
survivors can choose when to activate RBT, thus denying most pressure they create.

I guess my opinion angered and frustrated you, since you started with insults. If such little things make you lose your cool, I guess you shouldn't be playing DbD at all in that case, because it will bring you negative emotions much more than positive ones.

I'm not begging for nerf, I'm just heavily implying that certain killer needs to be nerfed into the ground

I guess they won't tell us because reasons. I think he wouldn't get much better and they are simply waiting to the release, so they would not have to bother fixing him much in next few years

Probably a troll job by the devs. Same with new Franklin's. They banned people for dropping items with old Franklin's and then dc'ing so the item was gone. Then, they changed it into an actual mechanic.

Dropping pallets early isn't counterplay, not really - many of them he can still get you at, and the rest he can get you before you reach the next loop, because at most he will have a low-mid range shot. Sure, on some maps the tiles are ridiculously close together, but that isn't the average.
What counterplay do you want then? Being able to do one simple thing and be invincible to any tricks the killer can do? Dropping pallets earlier, keeping distance, hiding behind obstacles and moving unpredictably if you fail to do other things is a pretty good counterplay, especially if you remember that this killer relies only on fast chases to win and if you drag at least one chase long enough he'll either abandon you or will lose the game.

I dont have to learn anything about that, it has no counterplay and that's all, why should I stay there if im not having fun? I'll play games to have fun, I buy this game to have fun.
All I need to learn is that people that use these builds are trash, that's all
Of course you will never learn anything with such mindset. Besides, "little counterplay" and "no counterplay" are different things. What you named above has "little counterplay", but not "no counterplay". Escaping or at least getting the best out of worst is not impossible.

The same counterplay to old legion applies to Deathslinger - stealth, rush gens and hope, because there's nothing you can do in a chase. Like it or not, just like Nurse, you cannot defend yourself against a decent Slinger.
And yes, I see plenty of people giving false counterplay that never works against even me, and I'm barely an acceptable Slinger. So..... Yeah.
Sucks for you if you can't drop pallets earlier and not run in the open where there is nothing you can cover behind from his shots

There is a difference between a fair chase and literally having zero chance to do anything at all to defend yourself.
You haven't played against old legion if you believe " literally having zero chance to do anything at all to defend yourself." can be said about deathslinger.
Read any topic about deathslinger and I assure you, you will find at least one person listing most counterplay to that killer.

I have on this forum read enough billy nerf threads, before his nerf.
I have even read on this forum clown nerf threads to the pre-buff clown.
Honestly, I don't think there is a killer in dbd, where someone has not already write a nerf thread too.
What you say are excuses why you act how you act. More for yourself, as for the people you talk with.
The problem is, everybody has those excuses, just with a other thing in his mind. One guy thinks maybe on Meyers right now, a other on sprint burst and so on.
If we follow this road, we can only lose as players, because if everything gets nerfed what annoys someone, -nothing will be left of dbd.
Things like that as example, yeah. Not everyone, but many people tend to play the characters/perks that are known as "strong" and so the world of dbd goes more smaller with every nerf-patch.
Nobody has ever complained about demogorgon though

So like a deceiver kinda, already have a charcter like that, but I like the idea of the villian secretly deceiving you
I mean the villain who appears to be completely innocent and normal at first glance, but once he is tet-a-tet with his victim he reveals his true nature. +1 point for him having split personality. Legion and Ghostface fulfill that trope in one way or another.
-
Many different things can make up a good horror
I like "Xenomorph" type of horror villain. Some unknown ######### thing that is killing humans in some closed area. Demogorgon is good fit.
I also like horror villains that looks just like normal human, but their true nature is something demonic and monstrous which they reveal only when they know there would be no witnesses left.

Nah, should've taken lithe+dance with me+quick and quiet+iron will/lightweight. He could literally drop any chase he enters.
-
I play demogorgon and there's no way survivor is going to escape my grasp on such maps lmao
Just place 2 portals right in front of gates (in a thin doorway) and there is no single way survivor can get past them without me noticing.
It doesn't work well on Midwich or Gideon, but that is unbeatable on Lery and Hawkins
-
I think "new" blight has some critical bugs or isn't ready enough.
Don't forget that we're also testing new perks, survivor, general killer animations and interactions, new maps, new chests, pallets and generators.
Even if the new blight is going to be bad or not properly working on release, I hope it will be fixed in future hotfixes coming in 1-2 weeks after release.

Amazing concept! However some will need a couple tweaks, for example: Golden toolbox great tool to create pressure against the killer but also a drawback at the end which could kill everyone in egc pretty easily if there altruistic not busted but very strong.
An example of one that needs a tweak is definitely skeleton key, basically a free hatch escape for a more experienced survivor that can exploit that fact. A reasonable nerf would be to close it immediantly after one person opens it because in 10 seconds everyone could jump through which would break the game
Thanks for feedback. I will change the key to make it more balanced
EDIT:
I decided not to make it the way you suggested, but instead increased opening time and allowed killer to track the hatch aura. This way killer gets another object to keep an eye on.
I also made the key not to disappear, but lose its durability if the action was interrupted.
-
Sure, as long as survivors are not allowed to use more than 1 second chance perk at time.
-
Agreed. That's so boring.

@oh_0k said:
What I would do with him:
Fix his hitboxes
Let him start a rush at any tokens
Swinging in rush doesn't take a token
Non lethal rushes don't have a fatigue
Give him longer lung distance in rush
Rush hit count as basic attacks
Also:
Make his collision smaller during rushes (~50-60% of his current collision)
Give him bumping immunity after starting a rush for a second-two
Don't make him bump into stuff if he collides with it not at angle sharper than 30/40/50 degrees.
And we can get a very nice killer

The new survivor perks are trash. all of them XD

Throw in something like we`ll make it and it'll be even more broken.

It's been a while so I honestly don't remember but did old Killer Instinct work the same way it does now where he needs to get a hit on someone to reveal where everyone is? Or did it just automatically reveal heartbeats without him having to hit anyone?
You hit survivor and reveal all nearby survivors.
Yeah, you could technically hide all together, but that works so rarely, so I just assume you get revealed once you get within Legion's terror with your teammate, which was the case 99% of time
-
@Boss said:
I was expecting the real infinites to be the example. 😋
That's the stuff we banished from the game long ago and which should've been forgotten.
Although even there was some "counter" - bear traps, nurse, trying to bait survivors from that save spot. Not reliable, but at least there was something.
Old Legion was entirely different story - you can't run, hide or force mistakes. Mechanically broken mess without counter
-
@RakimSockem said:
I think you've created a bit of a false equivalent.
For old Legion, you only talk about what happens once you're in a chase (which is you go down). That part is fine.
But then with Spirit, PH, DS, you bring up pre-chase counters which isn't what anyone is talking about. Those pre-chase counters of "just don't get found" (by the way, I love when people say that as if stealth has some kinda god-like mechanic in this game and not getting found is somehow supposed to be an option....), could also technically be applied to old Legion.
But again, we're talking about things that happen once the chase starts and those complaints are legitimate.
Spirit: I don't care about Spirit as much, and I'm fine with her in most chases.
Deathslinger: For how little drawback Deathslinger's power has when he fakes it, they just need to make his terror radius normal size like the Huntress and I'd be okay with him. Maybe. I still hate him
Pyramind Head: Pyramid Head should have some kind of animation stun in between where he lifts his sword out of torment mode and when he can swing. When I say "stun", I don't mean make him immobile. It's fine if he fakes it and then continues to walk. But he shouldn't be able to just immediately swing the way he can now. I guess what I'm looking for is kind of like the old Doctor where if he wanted to hit you after a shock, he had to switch modes. That's how long it should take PH to switch from faking his power to being able to swing
I mentioned that you couldn't effectively avoid old Legion, since he could use killer's instinct to reveal survivors. There was nothing survivors could do against old legion except trying to rush gens faster than he downs them.

I've always thought of her as top five. Built in game slowdown, HUGE potential to mindgame loops, and a stealth ability that can get you a free hit or grab. Shes my favorite killer to go against, and second favorite to play as. And the 115 doesn't mean anything. I can only 4k with pig and nurse, unless I get lucky. Why? Because of pigs natural game slowdown, and anti loop potential, and nurse is the best killer in the game, and I don't really have to explain her. I'd say she's 5th strongest imo. Itd go nurse, spirit, freddy, pphead, and pig. I say pp boi is 4th because of his mindgame potential at loops. Spirit and freddy are obvious, and again nurse is the best killer. But yea. Pig has everything. Anti loop, game slowdown, and a stealth ability. Not to mention if they don't get off gens, which takes away your slowdown, you get a kill.
If the slowdown is highly affected by survivors and rng, it's a bad slowdown. Glad you like her, but her basekit is way worse than any other killer and that's a fact.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/183021/noed-needs-to-be-removed-or-changed
Um, no? The survivors have NOT won until they successfully exit the gate. Your logic is faulty. Let me point out more fuzzy, half-baked logic. All Noed does is make you and the other suffer from the Exposed status. It means you can be downed with a single hit. There are quite a few Killers who can do that to you from the very start of the game. It is built into them. They don't even have to waste a Perk Slot. There are other Killers who have Add-ons and triggers that do the same. There is Haunted Ground that will do the SAME thing but even dirtier.
The only reason Noed FEELS wrong to you is because you foolishly get this rush of hope and then have to fight your way out. Noed is, in fact, much nicer to you than MANY of the much worse abilities. Why? You know when it happens. There is no surprise. You have the entire game to cleanse those Totems so you make sure the Killer wasted his Perk, and get bonus Objective points for doing it. Even if Noed goes off the Killer STILL has to hit you, and usually when the last generator goes up the Killer has to choose the right gate that most of you are going to run to or they simply miss you. So get over yourself, keep your rage to yourself the way an adult does. We should be dignified and humble in victory, and gracious and polite in defeat. Learn the game. You will find there are things that terrify and annoy a lot more than Noed.

In Japan, it has been highly believed that the Oni is a demon with the power of the "third eye". There's nothing much more to it, besides that Onis can see into the hearts of their enemies, sense the blood of the weak, etc...
It's honestly a little saddening people of the current generation don't know about things as simple as this... as it is when people refer to different beliefs as "mythology"...
But there you go. It's a cultural application.
People can't know everything, especially if we are talking about mythology of different counties and ESPECIALLY if we are talking about japanese mythology which I personally find pretty complicated and messed up.
Anyway, I'm not asking "why" does he have a third eye, I know that is part of "Oni" character. I was asking why the hell is that obviously wooden thing moving on its own.
-
You sure? BHVR, write that down, please!
1) Rework Legion's Deep Wound and rename it into "stab wound" or something. Make its timer not deplete and entirely get rid of "timer goes off - you go down" part. New "Deep wound" would just be a health meter representing how much damage can survivor take from frenzy&allow legion to see the progress of the wound. The wound automatically mends when survivor is healed.
2) Change Legion's Frenzy mechanic: For each survivor without deep wound hit in feral frenzy, Legion applies Deep wound with lesser "health":
First FF chain hit just applies a deep wound. Second FF chain hit applies a deep wound + reduces its health to 66%, 3rd FF chain hit applies a deep wound + reduces its health to 33% and 4th FF chain hit reduces deep wound health to 0%, making it an instadown.
Additionally reduce Legion's fatigue if he hits more survivors. Like 4 seconds base and -0.5 seconds for each successful feral frenzy hit up to 2 seconds. Or, go entirely crazy and just REMOVE it. Replace it with another mechanic, for example: After FF ends, Legion restores their breath for 6-4 seconds. During that, Legion's movement speed is decreased to 70/80/90% and they are unable to perform a lunge attack during that time. (Legion wouldn't be able to instantly attack though, there would be a short pause before that so you can't just run to survivor in frenzy, end it and instantly hit)
Hitting survivor with deep wound in feral frenzy does FF stacked damage to their deep wound (0/33%/66%/100%) if we haven't hit that survivor in this Frenzy or does nothing (or puts some debuff, like exhaustion/bleeding/hindered for a while).
Feral Frenzy instantly ends if Legion has put a survivor into Dying state with it.
Stabby teen get a new life, yay. We trade annoying slowdown via mending simulator for lethality achieved through multihitting with our power. You also get a reason to use your power almost by CD as you get a chance for more downs.
