Usually I type gg and close chat faster before they can cry something or even have my chat closed, but sometimes when I really see salt (even in game) and I've stomped them, I type typical surv main ######### like "gg ez" "boring" "trash survivors" "uninstall" and so on. Say whatever you want, but it's so hilarious to see how another "[TOXIC] Duuderino" gets owned in game, wants to cry something in chat and gets shot with his own bullet.

"we would like to do so"
oh, how adorable. They would like to, pity they are just a little indie studio with no funds working on pure enthusiasm /s
They aren't seeing my money. I'm going to spend my remaining auric cells, though, since I've already paid for them, but I'm definitely not getting more. I hope other people will do the same.
-
If he gets in DbD, fine, I believe BHVR will manage to make him awesome, but if he doesn't it's not a big loss for me
-
I find DS pretty fine perk, as long as it is used to avoid being tunneled and not as "60 seconds of invulnerability".
Although I think it definitely should be disabled any time survivor touches gen/totem/starts healing and when EGC starts because during EGC there's no such thing as tunneling.

Yeah, that hypocrisy always baffled me
EDIT: I made a meme about it

Expect a teaser/hint drop next two weeks and PTB in next 3-4 weeks.

I know right. They only went and said that That it would be like playing a different character. I mean he is mostly dressed different character, so it doesn't matter that a Minotaur is swinging a sword around like a samurai, literally is using a weapon that wouldn't be found in ancient greece, or that his voice lines are the same.
For the record though, I don't think voice changes are necessary, but a complete visual overhaul is needed for the skin to be legendary, and animation tweaks should be done. We were told that it would be like a brand new character, but I think we would all settle for a character that is just different enough to be someone else.
I mean, if there wasn't a bull's head, it would be Oni. New skin is just Oni wearing bull's head, that's it. He is swinging sword and dashing like samurai, like yamaoka oni.

There is of course a small chance, I would even say a ghostly one, that the developers will not ignore this post and in the future, when they update the graphics and animations, they will update all the legendary skins for characters, making them completely unique.
This post has been up for almost a day and still no response. I guess they are just going to ignore that and pretend everybody`s happy.

I understand. But your expectations make me think of the ultimate skins in LoL, these skins cost around 23€ (sorry, that's my currency).
This legendary skin in DBD, whose expectations are similar to the work done on ultimate skins in LoL, costs 12 or 13€ currently.
Overall, and according to the developers of LoL: players prefer more polished skins, even if it means paying more (because yes, you are asking a lot of work just for skins). And you ? Are you willing to pay significantly more for a "truly" legendary skin in DBD ?
You are talking to a person who wastes ~400$ every time valve shits out another battlepass without questioning it (although Valve has never failed to give at least one cool cosmetic since 2016). Of course I am willing to pay for a good cosmetics, but so far the only good cosmetics are blight skins.
In case of minotaur, I believe they should either make it lower rarity and refund those 400 cells difference in price or do something to make minotaur feel like a separate character, not an Oni reskin
-
@Pawcelot said:
The "Legendary" skins are only called "Legendary" because they have another color than the "Very Rare" skins. That, and that their price is legendarily high at $15. For all we know, it could might as well been a Halloween themed costume skin and it'd not have mattered one single bit.
Yeah, they could've added a syringe, a bit more injuries and it could be a blight skin instead of "legendary" one that makes oni into "another character" that has no differences from oni apart from another face.

the whole idea of legacy was to reward people for the horrible grind when the game first came out. And people didn’t even know they were gonna get legacy until only 2 weeks before they were rewarded with it in november(game came out in june). The grind now is much more easier than it was back then so now everyone would be trying to get legacy
They were rewarded to get to play with these cosmetics for 4 years, why not let other people enjoy them? Stop being dogs in the manger

still a no from me. they should never come back, even if the way you obtain them is requires a lot of time in the game
That sounds elitistic
-
@Mew said:
i dont think so. legacy was literal hell to earn back then, you kinda had to play this game a LOT in order to get every survivor and killer legacy item, and what made it worse was that there were no bloodpoint multiplier perks, and the games balance was 100x worse than it is now (with literal infinites, around 2x more pallets, double pallets at every jungle gym/junk loop, etc.)
anyone who got and earned legacy back then deserved it, and it should never be handed out for free to the entire community.
I'm not saying it should be handed for free. I am saying that people these days should get a chance to earn these cosmetics.

Wait people are legit complaining about THIS skin, THIS one? Like I could kind of sort of understand the Lisa one, because it really wasn't that detailed so $15 was a bit pricey (though it is very accurate to in-game from what I've seen), but this skin is amazing. People legit just want to complain about any skin they release now it seems.
Like I could understand complaining about the new Yui skin (imo it's very bland and not worth the price at all) or like you said Kate's pigtails (I was really excited for them too until I saw them in game *shudder*), or even why Weapons can't be equipped separately apart from the sets they came in (head and torsos I can understand, why weapons tho), but they choose to complain about THIS?
People are complaining because this skin is an overprised purple and does not fit into even those little legendary standards set by Lisa Garland:

same for the last point - people complain about the fact that the oni skin is a set, but in what would would it work if it wasn't a set? his skin colour is completely changed, his head size changes, and more. I can understand people saying that the sword should be interchangeable tho.
Nonono, NOBODY has been complaining about Minotaur being a SET.
The general, main and ONLY complaint was that this "legendary" provides NO changes to the character apart from model and is just an overpriced purple skin. Even LISA GARLAND had a unique animation, while a GREEK BEAST uses JAPANESE kanabo, performs KAZAN'S SIGNATURE killing move and completely MIMICS HIS SWORD TECHNICUE.

@CampMeToDeath said:
It may be disappointing but imo it's one of the best Oni skins in the game.
It could be one of the best purple skins, but definitely not a good legendary. It's awful legendary judging by what leg skins are supposed to be (BRAND NEW CHARACTER) and even by what first legendary skin turned out to be (new face + new lobby animation). Lmao, LEGION SKINS ARE BETTER, THAN ANY LEGENDARY SKIN PRESENT IN THE GAME, WHY??
-
@Steel_Eyed said:
Yeah, but it looks cool.
If it was purple rarity, nobody would've said a word. Yet it is legendary quality and people were expecting him to have AT LEAST new lobby animation like Lisa Garland. He doesn't have even this. This skin is lackluster, lazy and is not worth money being asked for it.
-
And I thought Lisa Garland was bad. At least she had a lobby animation.
-
@BBQnDemogorgon said:
Minotaur doesn't even get unique lobby pose/animations like Lisa.
So technically he's even worse.

That is still technically a plus, though. It means you don't have to buy it.
Just because I am not obliged to buy it, it doesn't reduce the fact that this cosmetic would be an overprised purple like Lisa Garland is. And since people are going to buy it "just because" it will tell BHVR that people are happy with overpriced purples. I hope I am wrong that Oni's legendary isn't just an overpriced purple, but if it is, just like I said, I (and a lot of other people aswell) would be heavily disappointed.
-
@Raven014 said:

Survivors justify balance between both sides by saying "apply more pressure". It's such nonsense. There's very little you can do with mid tier killers and a M1 killer like ghostface unless the survivor makes mistake and they always look at applying pressure in terms of how much pressure a nurse or a spirit applies.
And then they wonder why they see nurse and spirits all the time and ask for a nerf
Oh yes, when every m1 killer has to rely on survivors' mistake to be able to do anything it's okay, but when survivors have to rely on killer's mistakes it's a big nono

As someone who lost legacy 3 Dwight:
People that can prove they had reached P3 before the cut off date via steam achievement and/or video/pictures as proof should absolutely get it back. I know people can hack their steam achievements but I would assume the number of people willing to do this and risk getting banned for a cosmetic would be fairly small. I don’t think legacy should be given to everybody. Legacy skins are status symbol/badge of honor at this point.
I also owned Dweard and was incredibly disappointed when they made it available to everyone.
It is perfectly fine to have exclusive/one time skins in a video game for your long time players.
What is not perfectly fine is to pursue a policy of "no exclusivity" and then say "nah, nah, this stays exclusive, this is different.
I want BHVR to be either be consistent and finish what they have started or back up and restore exclusivity status to given away cosmetic pieces, because otherwise I see what they have done with these cosmetics one big hypocrisy.
-
@coppersly said:
A lot of people use the argument that it took a lot of time and grind back in the old system and that's why new players shouldn't get it because the grind is much less. But, that's a dumb argument. What about people who've put in way more than that into the game but they just simply started later?
I get the idea of rewarding those who were there in the early parts of the game. I can't really argue against this one.
I think people who played since the beginning were already rewarded by getting to use these cosmetics for 4 years and seeing all game's ups and downs. I just don't think it is very fair to lock such unique cosmetic pieces. If it is so important to highlight these legacy players, then BHVR can give them some badges or cosmetic like "BEST NEW TRAPPER MASK" that isn't something unique looking, but is a memorable thing nonetheless.
-
@HommeBizarre said:
It's only a cosmetic, people should get a real life and stop complaining about some binaries content.
I mean, even if they have legacy, there's plenty of other outfits in the store which are way better
If it's only a cosmetic, then what's so difficult in making it accessible for everyone? What differs event cosmetics from legacy? The amount of effort put into getting them? What's so difficult in making newer players put some effort into getting these cosmetics instead of getting them for nothing?
-
@Kebek said:
I do have legacy and I honestly don't really care if they gave it out. Imao only reason why people want legacy is because it's exclusive so if everyone had it nobody would wear it since they are far far superior cosmetics then a bit of sparkly lines on your clothes.
It's biggest advantage over other cosmetis is that it's the main exclusive to flex your old-school player status. Like anyone really cares how long do you play DBD.
As for me, I want legacy weapons on other killers because these shining things are looking extremely nice.

You only need an IQ of 50 and camper with noed. 2k-3k and you only need to move about 10-15 meters
Go ahead. If survivors going against him aren't COMPLETELY stupid and have at least more IQ than a wooden chair, than it should take them no more than 1-2 games dying to such playstyle to never let it work again. If they have IQ equal to an ordinary human being, capable of thinking about consequences, they are going to leave that clown with 1k or even 0k if he doesn't catch anyone (50 iq, remember) on first try.

It's been less than a week since bubba was released, of course people can't find counterplay to him so fast.
And of course, saying that bubba has no counterplay is just a nonsense. He can't do anything if a survivor vaults a window and doesn't run into him after than in panic. He can't do anything if survivor jumps into locker and exists during that 1 second window when bubba is stuck in tantrum but doesn't do damage. It is extremely difficult to chainsaw around loops like the ones in Yamaoka house or other weird shaped objects as you can easily bumb into something. Don't get caught in open spaces, don't get greedy on pallets and always keep in mind where the nearest window is. Bubba often can't afford to sprint far enough to reach you after you've vaulted the window and ran the opposite direction of hm. Rinse and repeat and stop complaining.

So I pinged this to my friend who has legacy but stopped playing. She has legacy 3 nurse and Wraith (I'll post Screenshots when I get them, right now we're both out the house, just in different places) but I asked what she thought and she said "no".
In her words, she worked "very ######### hard" for those skins and doesn't want to see them distributed. Ever.
I mean, people were working hard for event items too, but for some reason it didn't stop BHVR from doing what they did.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRKOwLKxVwY pretty nails what I think about it.

The issue: people lost legacy. But I don't like that EVERYONE gets it because of that.
How about this: EVERYONE who owned and played DbD before 1st November 2016 gets legacy handed out. That's roughly 1 month, enough to prestige back in the days.
Sure, some people who never prestiged back then or barely played get it for free. But we can see them as veteran players and honor them for supporting dbd. This is a really small amount of people. And at the same time everyone who lost his legacy can finally get it back.
I think even this is hard to implement for some reason, since this hasn't been done yet.

@ClickyClicky said:
I started in mid 2018. I think Hallowed Blight and onwards has been the best for cosmetics. Let event players earn them for free but have them available for purchase for new players.
I’m glad they made previous events cosmetics free. It sucked not being able to have David’s donkey jacket for example just because I wasn’t playing the game a few months earlier.
Legacy is something different though. Its not a unique cosmetic like the rest. Its something that was also done to appease players who put a lot of time into something before a drastic change came along. Personally I don’t think they should give out legacy.
I'm not telling they should "give out" legacy. They should make a way to earn legacy for everyone. It shouldn't be easy, but it should be possible, like grinding 4-6th prestiges or, like somebody suggested, it should be devotion rewards.
I think being able to use these skins 4 years earlier than other players is already enough of "appease" for people who have been through that grind. What were the arguments for making pax cosmetics all available that most people used? "You got to use them earlier than other" "If you use cosmetics just to flex than your opinion doesn't count" and so on. Same applies here. I see no difference between legacy and event skins that were only obtainable through grind, expect the time frame.
