So essentially, he's pretty bad without his add-on. His power his heavily add-on dependent and without it, his power is damn near ineffective aside from traversal and the most beneficial of situations.
Kinda. You can still play w/o addon, though it would extremely difficult and rather ineffective.
I would preffer to think about it as musthave fast charge addon on billy of at least grey quality so he fit into timings. Same story here.

Right now all youtubers are uploading 4k red rank games with this killer. He is easy peasy, almost 0 effort needed to 4k with him. The same day he is released everyone already can 4k with him. The easiest killer in dbd history. :^)
what a surprise, dbd players with thousands of hours of experience 4k with a new killer, never thought it was possible.
You sound like a cheap troll at this point.

Hope is doesn't get fixed.

Change his turning speed and give him a flick like Oni. That fixes some of his many flaws immediately.
Let him brake pallets with slam as basekit.
Raise his camera.
Increase his lunge range in lethal rush
Make lethal rush attack a basic attack.
At least that if we're stuck with that killer.

You might aswell chase as a default nurse without blinks and get an m1 faster than blight using his power in the whole match.
Seriously though, the idea of his power is terrific, more rushing killers but this one is straight up... silly.
What kind of idea is it to bump your head into a wall to lose sight of the one thing you're never supposed to miss? (The Survivor)
I REALLY wish we had some sort of projectile throwing alchemist or some stuff like that, I wish they didn't come up with this power and instead they brought something different and more interesting for the character.
I wanted him to have syringes with blight which he either injects in himself to get some special ability or injects into survivors to make something bad to them. These syringes either regened over time or on special tables which alchemist can interact with to restore syringes and which can be sabotaged by survivors to slow restoration.

I have never felt this demoralized playing a new killer day one. Seriously, everyone seems to already know how to counter him, and I’ve gotten the 30 hits without the adept, and I genuinely can’t rememebr when that last happened on day 1 with a new killer. Extremely frustrated right now.
If you know how to dodge Billy's saw which comes from distance or Oni's castrated dash attack, you already know how to dodge Blight's rush.
It seems BHVR is running out of creativity.

You know what also would've been insane? Is if you played him for more than a few games worth and practiced with him a bit instead of making a post like that on day 1. This killer isn't Freddy, he takes some getting used to.
> I have been playing him for 2 hours straight since release, not to mention a few days on PTB, a lot of KYF testing on both sides and watching other people play blight.
I had enough playing him. You can watch any other Blight gameplay to see what I am talking. I will make such posts day one because I don't need to play #########, random and flawed killer for months to realize he is #########, random and flawed.
Also, if you think I didn't have enough experience on him, then you must be thinking my points about his power are incorrect. You are welcome to prove me wrong.
Good luck proving that his power is not map and spawn dependant, it cannot be dodged easily by anyone who knows who to dodge billy and that it is can be used in most loops to effectively shut them down.
It would be fun to watch you try.

This chapter Imo puts the idea of not having a fnaf chapter to shame, I would take that then... this.
at this point I would rather get FnaF, because Springtrap would at least have a decent power that is not flawed and horrible even in general concept.
Although I would like to get FnaF, I would've definitely preffer a chapter about hallowed blight over FnaF, but now, now I would've changed my mind and chosen FnaF.

I've been playing him for nearly four hours straight now. He's very clumsy. Even when you get the hang of his dash/bounce, competent survivors find it easy to dodge most of the time. Honestly who ever made the comparison of him being a weaker version of the Legion was very apt there.
I just unlocked his two achievements, and have no real desire to play him again.
I think it's wrong to compare him to Legion, since their powers only look different.

Yeah, I normally try to wait a bit, but he really isn't impressive. I'd like his power a lot more if it had a lower skill cap but yeah, right now, his power seems like a power on the same level as Legion, meaning in most situations, it hurts you to use it to try to down Survivors.
Lowering skillcap isn't what he needs honestly.
He needs increased reward for performing well or changes that make him less dependant on circumstances beyond killer's reach like map spawns or survivors doing easy juke which is barely countered.

I can't imagine testing this killer internally, seeing the feedback from the PTB, and STILL coming away from it thinking the lethal rush lunge turn radius was fine. Stop solely listening to feedback from 50 hour Andys. Let us have an actual reward for investing time and effort into these killers.
guess I'll have to stick back to old killers who at least reward an effort put into them.

I don't disagree, more for Blight's similarities to Hillbilly than Demogorgon, but if they don't do that for whatever reason, adding Generators to the mix might still make it worthwhile.
This addon is already worth taking because of 1st effect.
Second effect was basically cut of basekit and put into that addon, which was a wrong decision.
Also, is Blight's lethal rush attack a basic attack or not? I haven't got to test that out myself yet
-
@Zeidoktor said:
I thought a potential Ultra Rare could be breaking Generators by Rushing into them. If that were added on to the pallets and walls, could that make it UR worthy?
not it wouldn't because adding an effect which must be basekit to an U/R is ridiculous. Blight should be able to break pallets/walls with slam as his basekit.

The biggest issue that I had with the blight in the PTB was him getting stuck on crud in the map. It sounds as if that's been fixed, in which case I feel that the blight is very likely to be a powerful killer. Let's not start suggesting major buffs to his kit just yet.
he is still very difficult and situational to use.
yeah, he got better, but I feel like he is slower and his power is still not good enough at loops to use it. Adding pallet brake effect to it could make it much better.
I'm not even saying that from his short camera it is infuriatingly easy to lose survivors and very difficult to aim rush properly.
-
Well, to be fair there were a lot of buffs for killers and nerfs for survivors recently, though little of these changes actually addressed a serious problem.
I only wish devs did something with swfs&spread playstyle (3 survivors sit on 3 gens&the other one gets chased) where you mathematically cannot win if survivors do everything right and are also using default copypaste second chance builds.

However if they are losing with strong stuff, then yeah, they are indeed bad.

Lol I love how all the killers have their heads up their own behinds about mori and think it's even remotely comparable to keys.
Mori instantly put survivors at a severe disadvantage within the first minute of the match by taking out one out of 4 survivors. Theres literally no effort needed here on killer's part AT ALL.
Key at least needs a little more effort, first survivors have to do gens then maybe one or two of them have to die depending on gens remaining for hatch to appear in the first place. Then finding the hatch takes time too. Killer even tunnels the survivor with the key and killers are basically playing the match from START till FINISH compared to taking out one out of 4 players who only got to play the match for 40 seconds and causing the other 3 to be at a severe disadvantage by reducing their chances of escaping by 75%.
Seriously, I mean I'm a solo que survivor and as killer I've only seen few SWFs coordinate for the hatch and even then I did enough hooks, hits and chases for me to get a pip AND get a good amount of points. The Survivor who gets mori gets a depip because theres no way to outplay a mori unless you're an swf and even then it's difficult. Guess what? The system thinks you're a garbage survivor player because you couldnt outplay the mori and do enough to help the team AND you got only 3k bloodpoints for breathing......
In conclusion, killer mains that compare mori to keys are absolutely shameless.
Did I mention keys in my post? Nope.

Not me, so that statement doesn't disprove my opinion.
Also I didn't say the meta perks, just the tendency for mori killers to tunnel and mori off 1 hook.
You seem to be running out of points to support your promori position.
at least I don't stoop to meaningless demagoguery which indeed proves that you are the one running out of points and trying to cover the lack of arguments.
Also, you seem to think that "tendency of killers play the certain way" isn't the same as tendency of survivors bringing in the same perks, which is incorrect since this is just different manifestations of meta which people seem to despise.
You are not allowed to complain about meta if you run it, unless you admit to be a hypocrite. It's pretty simple. I personally play meta on both killer and survivor and don't complain about neither of these.
-
@PigMainClaudette said:
Killers should really stop being so aggressive. I've seen so many won games literally threw into 3/4 escapes because the killer took one chase and didn't call it off when they should have or tried to tunnel the wrong person. People should learn that not everybody can be killed.
And now I wait. Let's see how the double standard plays out. Not picking on you, Justalittlepeeck, just half the forums.
Well, yeah, can't win a chase - abandon it, otherwise you are putting too much on it, since you would have to camp that person in order to get a little chance to at least get a draw

There is no set penalty for closing app during loading screen nor for dodging lobbys as a killer.
Some folks will always prefer to play a game without OP stuff.
I don't care personally, mori me and I just get in a new match anyway. I lose to a swf, just ready up and play again.
But dont act like it is so surprising no one wants to play against the mori meta of tunneling everyone and killing after first hook.
Noone wants to play against meta, but somehow everybody is running the meta

Bringing a mori is pretty pathetic too. It's like saying I dont want any challenge this match....
See how that logic works.
the difference is that there is no set penalty for using a mori.
And yeah, if I take mori, then I want an easier game with cool animations, I don't see anything wrong here though, I am not obliged to sweat every game.
Yet I don't insta DC when I get another [MLGPRO] squad with all kinds of overpowered and annoying bs, I play through the entire match with that and don't give up, while most mori complainers instantly press DC button when they see that the game isn't going to be easy.
-
DCing against mori is pathetic honestly, it's like saying "I don't want any challenge". Sure, going against mori is very difficult, but don't act like it's impossible.

I don't know about pallet vaulting, we already have a legion, sounds like he plays something like the Spirits ult, it's an interesting idea that sounds fun to play if the Devs can do it right.
Or he could brake it or simply run through as if there were none, doesn't matter, depends on killer's aesthetics, the point is that none survivor would be able to run that killer in a direct chase for a long time.
Once chase starts, survivor would have to actually count seconds before his death and hope that he'll get an opportunity to slip away and hide in some corner holding their breath while killer wastes their time searching for them.

-Pyramid's power is useful because it is instant.
-99% of hook instances don't involve a 15-20 second procedure.
-Losing 1/4 of 2-3 gens and any hook perks to respawn a survivor (at no cost to them, aside from YOUR time) in an advantageous position is very bad.
-Removes any and all hook baiting/removing people off gens for saves if used, allowing further gen progression.
On the other hand:
Allows to bypass certain perks.
Allows to divide survivors in case survivor gets sent into the zone with no gens.
Mori often take up to 14 seconds in worst case (clown), that's not much more than usual dragging to hook
It would allow to secure hook stage because pallet saves, flashlight saves, bodyblocking, sabotage and other stunts that high rank survivors often like to pull off aren't going to work.
-
@Bullettimegod said:
Mori's skip a hook state. Which is the point of moris

@TAG said:
Those offerings are not even close to worth rare/ultra rare.
Why though? They would greatly impact the game (since they give a universal alternative for hooks), but they wouldn't break it. I think such effect is more than worthy to be ultrare (or rare/very rare if we talk about ivory mori)
Considering devs are trying to make U/R things "gamechanging" but not "gamebreaking" such possible mories would fit in that description
-

Seems like I'd be locking myself into an animation, wherein survivors can belt out gens, with little reward.

FYI Hillybilly changed between his PTB version and when he went live and there was no announcement before going live. I'm guessing that Blight will be similar with some tweaks between the PTB version and the live one on Tuesday. (At the very least the German PTB got new versions of most of his add-ons for him last week shortly before the PTB went down so I'm guessing those will be included.)
can you provide links/screenshots of updated addons?

It sucks to have short matches but you can't really blame them for playing to win, even if it's boring 5min genrush.
It's hard to play "for fun" in red ranks on both sides since main goal will always to be winning.
My advice would be to play killers you like and once you get too many bad matches just use mori to ensure you'll have a lot more control over next game. If survivors you get play for fun and aren't sweaty, last hook mori them and if they rush you then just straight insta-mori their asses.
If that doesn't help you can ofc always use meta build+mori on spirit. Whatever suits you really.
As for me, I'm pretty fine with sweatfest, copypasted builds and other bs as long as these players are polite and don't act like biggest [BAD WORD] on the planet
But when these bastards start blaming ME for doing the EXACT thing they are doing (running meta, sweating, running STRONG things, playing dirty etc etc etc) I really want to hurt them.
Sometimes I dream to be able to get matched against same survivors in next game with a snap of my fingers. Oh, you dared say anything to me when I was chill playing Wraith with ######### build, while you sweated like you were in international finals, running strongest survivor perks in game, being and swf and using top tier items? I'll make sure to unleash some really monstrous things like Slug king doctor or straight up take my nurse (legacy 3 btw) and burn you to ash. And do that again. And again. Until that little ######### learns its lesson and will never opens its mouth unless it wants to say something positive.

Personally I think they’re all useful.
in very specific and on very rare occasions, so 99% of the time you take any addons apart from -CD/Tape/MAYBE mark duration you waste an addon because their value is noneexistant.
Detection range seem to be broken.
Killer instinct duration is a ######### joke, why would you need extra ticks of KI when even 1 is enough to spot survivor
Stalking while not leaning is a ######### joke, why would stalk while not leaning if you can lean
Crawling speed is a ######### joke, the only time these addons are useful is when you meme with them and PWYF
Camera is a budget BBQ/Infectious which isn't very valuable anyway, since you can't crawl on these survivors anyway
what else?
m o v e m e n t s p e e d w h i l e s t a l k i n g
GF needs an addon pass and chewed pen basekit (or plain -10 seconds reduction CD on his power)
revealing rebalance (in dreams, like your night shroud is a switchable mode (which takes like 2-3 seconds) and when survivor "reveals" you, he loses a 'mark' and becomes immune to being marked for like 20 seconds so you have to either crawl on them to land a hit or exit that mode if you don't want to lose mark) -

SCP Community, A Russian man has illegally registered an illegitimate trademark for SCP with… John Beattie needs your support for SCP Legal FundsI think there's a good explanation.
Long story short - some dude registered SCP as his property and used his "rights" to shut down his business rivals who sold SCP themed self-made merch like he did, f/e he shut down a board game with SCP theme.

Out of all the killers to need a rework, Demogorgon is top of the list.
95% of his addons are actually useless.
His portals are clunky and take too long to setup/use.
I mean theirs no comparison really on who needs it the most but most likely their just going to target huntress for a rework to nerf her iri-addon, the last overpowered ultra rare in the game.
Can't agree.
His kit is working well - Portals provide one of best map traversing abilities and Shred is very solid in chases.
Demo is an example of a killer who needs an addon pass - good power but ######### addons.
-
@PigMainClaudette said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594343#Comment_1594343
Yes. That is exactly what I am saying.
Pig's current kit is now one of the most important in the game, because it helps deal with so many issues in the game. Her add-ons are also a major issue for her, and she's just a few number tweaks away from being one of the strongest killers in the game.
So, ask me again, as a PIG MAIN, does she need a full rework? No.
You cannot play her like every other killer, she has a more unique playstyle than "Find survivor, chase survivor" like most of the killers, she is the type of killer that you have to plan ahead for and focus way more in GENERATORS than hooks.
Somehow "unique" gameplay didn't stop BHVR and majority of people agreeing that "unique" gameplay of freddy needs a rework.
Pig is boring. There is nothing (at least for me) that is even remotely fun which happens on regular basis while playing Pig. You find a survivor, you put a hat, survivor removes a hat and you either say a curse word if he removes it instantly or say nothing if he wastes 2+ minutes on that.
And when facing Pig you are having regular frustration that you aren't going to be able to search a specific box because killer is patrolling that area or irritation when you've just removed a hat and get a new one.
Also, can you tell me where her gameplay is so specific and unique, that you can't call it "playing like any other killer"? Or are you implying that the killers like Nurse is less unique than Pig, which is not correct.
-
@PigMainClaudette said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1594287#Comment_1594287
Pig does NOT need a full rework!
She needs half her add-ons changed and that it is. I can count about 10 useful add-ons, with half of them being in families.
So you are saying that the killer whose power is:
- the most inconsistent in game
- not even doing what it is supposed to do well
- is under full survivors' control
- enabling possibility for the scummiest strategies in game (yeah, RBT tunneling, no counterplay apart from lucky hatch which is least likely to happen than non-toxic rank 1 blendette)
- the worst stealth ability in game, which hinders you more than helps
- barely helping in chase and requires a lot of practice to get any profit
does not need a rework? You sure?
She desperately needs a rework, especially after a few patches that butchered her
