Local sillies are already competing who is going to write a funnier "ds=/=pop bruh" for upvotes, but they seem to forget that the whole "DS=POP" was started not because of the nerf, but because of Almo's response where they confirm that the reasoning behind this nerf was "you could do too much and still have it up" which perfectly described the main issue of DS which should`ve been addressed long ago.
-
After that change PH could really use some mobility buffs, because he is really slow and his power doesn't possess quick enough catching in order to compensate. Like +5% speed while walking on rites of judgement etc.
-
What do you mean here we go? Should we just pretend that DS isn't a problem or what?
-
In lore survivors feel pain from being hurt and they actually suffer from damage and some of them go insane from that. Where's that?
In lore it is implied that survivors don't actually keep the memories of trials (Arcus 893), unless they write them down and have enough willpower not to go insane from the horror happening to them, so basically survivors are facing everything like in the first time, otherwise they'll quickly get used to that and become useless as emotional batteries. Should this major part of the role, which basically explains how entity could feast so much, be in the game too?
Oh, there's also a lovely part where Entity gets ######### rid of the souls which become useless and don't provide enough emotions to it anymore.
Let's FULLY stick to the lore, this is going to make the game so much better, right?

"Also having "reduces Rush Fatigue time" add-ons seems to have no effect on the overall pallet destroy stun time, despite blight using his exhaustion syringe after the pallet break."
It's been tested, the Fatigue time reduction add-ons only work when you let the rush time out, or don't use another token to continue rushing after a slam. Attacking at all while rushing, whether successful or not, deactivates the add-ons effect and you get no benefit from the combined 0.75 seconds they reduce your fatigue time. They're basically useless.
You can benefit from them by ending a rush near survivor since you recover very fast

I don't think this ability is useful in a loop. It's useful when the survivor turned a sharp corner and you're looking to bank into a hit.
hmm, where can you find sharp corners, oh yeah.
in loops

If they reduced the range from 16 meters to 6 meters I would use it for the shots where you go from wall to survivor for an instant down.
nah, the point is in 16 meters, otherwise you can't cover loops.

There isn't a single instance where you need that. Not one. It is just a crutch add-on for players who cannot prepare a path and react fast enough without it, because like it or not the .2 seconds it occasionally saves are never the difference between a hit or miss. There's nothing wrong with that, there's plenty of crutches in DbD. Personally I cannot shake Enduring, and I know some people that need Shadowborn. But a crutch is a crutch.
And if we move past the idea of using it to get hits, we come to the fact that it wrecks your pathing. There are plenty of tiles in which you need to use more than one rush, and plenty of times you don't want to be snapped in a random direction that, should you rush into, you'll just collide with an object. This situation is far more common than the one that shaves of about .2 seconds of turning your camera.
Dude, whatever, just know this addon gives something you will never achieve with hands.
-
Premonition should have no cooldown, but fixed range like 16-36 meters.
But I'd rather have Spine Chill nerfed, because this perk really does too much.

I understand how it works and how to use it, I just have good reaction times and so get screwed over more than helped. If someone needs compound 7 to play Blight, fine. But it is a massive hinderence if you are the kind of player that can make snap decisions, aim well and process every piece of information presented. It's like if Huntress had an add-on that swung your camera around when you reach full charge.
No matter how fast you are you can't match with instant aiming anyway. You literally spam the "rush" button to chain them so quickly, that you can shut down loops with it. Without that addon you physically cannot manage to that, since you'll lack those fractions of seconds this addon saves for you.
-
Oh please, at least killer's meta changes.
-
@MadLordJack said:
Massive debuff for any Blight with good reactions. Too often you're going to end up looking where you don't want to look. I'm glad it isn't base kit like I saw so many people claimed it should be in his first week, or Blight would be unplayable.
@Stinde said:
Horrible addon, more of a hindrance than a benefit. What's the point of facing anyone if there's an obstacle between us and it pulls me to it when I myself try to go around. Another addon that's a hindrance is the adrenaline vial. The turning penalty of it was way too punishing even when combined with the umbra salts addon which considerably increases turning.
You just don't understand how to use it.
It INSTANTLY turns you into survivor's direction so you can fit into some really slim timings.
When you can't benefit from addon, you usually have time to turn yourself anyway, so this addon is only a hindrance when there are multiple survivors nearby, otherwise it is a very good addon.

Huntress is a "rabbit girl"?
(read her lore)
She is indeed, look at her mask. I (and I'm pretty sure many other people) can't take her or her lullaby (which is never associated with something scary in the culture it is coming from) serious or think she is scary. She is in the game nonetheless, even if people don't think she is scary.
Same goes for lore.
When do you people learn that horror is subjective?

Nothing says horror like getting chased by a rabbit and a chicken
Why do we have huntress then? Rabbit girl by the way.
-
Positive, he is an interesting character who lore could be well weaved into the DbD lore.
Those "ew creppy pasta" kids' opinions don't count.
-
Blight is A tier only against survivors who don't have experience against him.. dodging his lethal rush is so easy, that it isn't even serious
-
I actually could bear playing on swamp on blight if he did actually bump into stuff there and didn't lick it while facing it at 90 degrees angle.
On the other hand, I hate so much getting on reworked Yamaoka and Badham, geez. So many grass and fog, I can't see anything. Also, ridiculous tiles where you can't really chain your power. Awful map, I'm actually fighting my bugged power and idiotic map more than I fight survivors.

Since when being experienced helps from being biased or sticking up to the opinion which gets more likes and upvotes?
-
No lol
On top of that, DS should also not proc if survivor unhooks themselves. It is you who decides to unhook yourself in killer's reach, you deserve to be punished for that and not getting carried by perks and other bullshit

So the Blight's rules are easier to follow.........
dude, if killer can be countered completely by making simplest flick this is not okay.
-
@PigMainClaudette said:
ANY killer is technically a "noob stomper"
But within the context of your statement, you can't run the Blight like he's other killers. Same way that you can't run in a straight line against someone like Hillbilly. Each killer has their own "rules of engagement" and it's up to the players to learn what each rule set is. It just seems like your opponents HAVE learned the Blight's rules and are playing accordingly.
on thing is learning the rules and the other is when it is literally 1 move that works 99% of the time even if blight expects it.

Delay your hit if they're trying to spin you. It works 110% of the time. Also what the other guy said. You have perfectly usable add ons for that anyway.
if you think that turning addons can aid his laughable flick angle, then you really should reconsider your life choices and decisions that led you into believing this nonsense
-
@gibblywibblywoo said:
Nah. You can easily get round corners by lunging early and open areas are free hits. He doesn't need it. I actually think it would bump him up into unfair tier. Right now hes perfect outside of occasionally not bumping off things.
you okay? just because it can help get round by corners it doesn't mean it should be easily dodged by making the simplest 180 juke while running at him. Blight needs his attack buffed, because his current "flick" feels and is a ######### joke
-
Almost none of DS issues (like forcegrab abuse or locker combo) isn't addressed and you've also added a mechanic that could easily be exploited, nah, I'll pass.

I do not believe that is true. If it is true, then the changes are so subtle that it wouldn't be worth the tech to change the model at all, since it's not noticeable.
Watch any Oni's skins render to see yourself or check this thread to see a link for one of such renders if you're too lazy to search it yourself.
Spoiler, changes are pretty noticeable, especially on custom skins
-
@PyroGL said:
The face changing legion mask could be implemented by making the mask itself "blank" and using the Oni flames tech to draw the face into different expressions, i.e. FF mode, just after hooking, getting stunned, etc. Obviously the graphic would be much smaller and not as "transformational" as the Oni.
Oni doesn't get just extra particles when he enters his ability. his model also changes, though just slightly
-
@kaeru said:
Streamer Scott Jund said that good Deathslinger has no counterplay. And if survivor managed to juke his power it is not because survivor is good but because killer made a mistake. This is all I know.
I honestly don't think we should trust his opinion, since he's really biased in "110 killers" discussions.
-
Would like:
- Alien - Demogorgon turned out to be one of best visual&design wise killer, so Alien would be godlike.
- Springtrap - same goes here, he will be amazing. All these metal clunking sounds, heavy steps and hissing. He'll be scary, especially on closed maps.
- Crooked man - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjbFaG-ag04 - make his power some kind of reworked old freddy's, I'll freaking main him.
- Quiet Place monster&Wendigo from Until Dawn - they are quite similar so I put them together. I dream of a blind&very fast and deadly killer who can almost instantly kill any survivor he spots, so they have to be very careful will all movements and sounds they make in order not to be found.
- Slenderman - his lore is very versatile and he has a lot of similarities with the Entity - spider-like limbs, the whole "abduction" motif. He could probably turn out one of alternative ways of Entity's abduction. Also, gold mine in terms of power and sound-visual design.
- EDIT: SCP, how could I forget SCP.
Wouldn't like:
- Chucky - Can't imagine him being the killer, he's too small so he's likely to be like a Billy doll - decoration. In that case I'll pass.
- Candyman - he's nothing without his hypnotising voice and I don't think they'll be able to get it.
-
Because survivors seem to enjoy only when somebody is suffering
-
It would be cool to get blighted blight but I'm not sure if he can go further
although his mutations don't look much more severe than Wraith's or Doctor's. Maybe he can go further but something stops him. His "blight" also looks like less "bright" and "potent" than Doctor's or Trapper's for example.

@TAG said:
I mean, Oni has the ability to change parts of the model and whatnot baked into his design from the start. This is just a guess with no real basis behind it, but I imagine giving a skin the power to change design contextually would be something that would require change the programming on a Killer to allow such a thing without breaking how it functions with every other skin (including default).
I mean it'll either could work on just that one piece or make it like that (very simple and perhaps incorrect, since I'm not a programmer):
Put in Oni's dynamic skins code in Legion
On NSS skin: When X, then change Y to Z (Y - normal expression, Z - new expression)
On any other skin: When X, then change Y to Y.

Yes, he’s holding a different weapon and has flames around his eyes/head. What else changes?
Most noticable:
Horns become longer
Armor pieces either change/get new particles
-
@EuphoricBliss35 said:
Oni’s model doesn’t really change. He grabs another weapon (Huntress - hatchet?) and has flames kind of added around his head/eyes.
so you’re asking the devs to make a skin specific feature on a killer model that doesn’t do that?
I don’t know how to program or how to design. I do know that just because someone in design comes up with an idea, it doesn’t mean it can magically just happen with “programming.” If you know how to do it, perhaps share it with the devs? Maybe there’s a reason...
Oni has 2 different models for "normal" and "demon" modes.
-
@CalamityJane said:
Yeah they could at least be honest about the reason.
Legion's outfit will probably, like Tome 2, be on the free track of the next tome, which means there's zero profit being made off of its sales.
Technical limitations, which as you've said have been disproven by previously implemented characters, is not the same as "it isn't worth the time nor effort as there will be no payout from making it good."
Well, to be honest, there still is a possibility that "changing texture when stunned/doing X" is different when "changing model when in X", but I highly doubt it.

You don't have to disclose anything, really. It's just disappointing that its main "BAM!" feature isn't being implemented.
It's like selling Neon Lights but finding out you bought Energy Saving Fluorescent Pipe Lights.
that don't even glow...
-
Yeah, I hate that they so drastically change the concept either.
Why can't they just not to choose a concept they can't implement? "Sorry guys, this one's won, but we're incapable of implementing it without totally ######### it up, so chose some easier concept". Sure, there would be complaints aswell, but at least we are more likely to get what is as close as possible to the OG creator's concept and not something BHVR has made up using concept as inspiration.

The last one would be pretty good.
I thought of these perks, some could be useful in soloQ, others with the help of a friend. They aren't very strong, but they are funny IMO.
Determination
- When you really want to do something, you can't be interrupted by no one.
- While searching a chest or cleansing a totem for 3 seconds, the perk activates. If the killer tries to hit you and he is standing withing range, he will be stunned for 2.5 seconds, you won't get hit and you will move at 150% Movement Speed for 1 Second.
- Causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds if the stun was successful.
- You do not recover from Exhaustion while running.
Well-Known Place
- You've been here for so long that you already know all the secret spots.
- After standing still next to a pallet for 3 seconds, the perk activates. Succesfully stunning the killer with the pallet after the activation will stun the killer for an extra 3/2.5/2 seconds. (the pallet stun will be 5/4.5/4 seconds)
- Causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds if the stun was successful.
- You do not recover from Exhaustion while running.
Notorious Shadow
- You are tired of the ignorance and you know how to fully use you at your maximum potential.
- After not being seen by the killer for 80/90/100
consecutiveseconds, the perk activates. - You get 5% Haste Effect after you get chased for a minimum of 5 seconds. The effect lasts for 35/30/25 seconds.
- If the killer sees you or starts a chase with you while you try to get the seconds for the perk to activate, the seconds reset.
- Causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 15/20/25 seconds after the effect ends.
- You do not recover from Exhaustion while running.
Determination
Too much I think. Extra speed would be enough so you built much more distance than you would if you were normally hit.
Well-Known Place and Notorious Shadow look intersting.
-
There definitely needs to be a basic exhaustion perk.
Like:
- Press active ability button while standing near breakable wall to destroy it.
- Gain 150% speed boost for 3 seconds when you break a chase.
- Gain an additional 150% boost after being injured. (stacks with after-hit boost speed)
-

So... Even if you have to waste more time and have zero map pressure, you think that it's the right play?
I'm not going to waste more time if I'm choosing between a healthy survivor who hasn't been hooked yet and an injured survivor who has been hooked at least once
-
@MadLordJack said:
Uh... Huh? You do know that the best play is to down the unhooked survivor and chase the unhooker, yeah? Free map pressure + instant chase, as opposed to wasting your time giving 2 people 4 free gens and 1 person a couple of unhooks and a free gen.
If I can down the unhooker for free (aka bt trade) then I won't refuse to. Although if I were to choose between chasing healthy unhooker/injured unhooked survivor, the choice is obvious, even if I have to power through BT/DS.

No.

Water isn't as wet as everybody thinks.
Saying that SWF isn't OP, when it literally enables legal cheating via using voice communication in a game designed around not having voice communication is the dumbest thing I heard in last week.
