To be fair, it is hard to punish it.
They could just make it impossible to change resolution like this, like in other games. But they just don't care.

I have to post this image every single time.
Where is it from?

I thought we agreed Stretched Res was bad?
Well, the devs don't seem to agree for some reason.

Either a troll post or literally making a post to spark a negative reaction from people.
Yikes.
Why?

What do you mean by "mask their ID"?

Just pick Bubba and chill at the first hook, m8.

No, it isn't fair to bully people. If you think it's okay to go out of your way to ruin other people's experiences with absolutely no in-game benefit or reason, you have a problem.
Those facecamping Bubbas are restoring the karmic balance in the DbD universe. Every time I get matched with yet another toxic SWF sweat squad, I wish them meeting more of those Bubbas in next games, or even pick him myself and facecamp the first hook in my next game. What goes around, comes around, an eye for an eye, a facecamp for a teabag.

@Mistikus said:
skilled players would know what to do to keep thet mmr low for weaker killers
Well, yeah, it's not like they can suicide on first hook as survivor or stand in the corner of the basement as killer to do so, after all.

Blight is one of my most played killers and his collision is perfectly fine except in the swamp. Op was talking about walls, so he’s not taking the right angles because no wall has issues in my knowledge
Well, I'm new in Blight, but I've already noticed that shacks are covered in soap, basement walls have no collision whatsoever, and once I stuck in a corner of a jungle gym with no seeming explanation.

You’re either baiting, new with blight ir simply really bad
You look more like the one who is baiting, to be honest. OP is talking about buggy collision registration which is there, and it has nothing to do with "skill".

Well it should only be 5 minutes, right? Seems worth it instead of staying in there with obvious hackers. (Not that I want to encourage DCing.)
Btw record them for making a report.
Yes, taking a totally undeserved penalty is always worth it!
-
The issue of SWF hasn't been fixed for more than 5 years already, and you expect them to react in a month?
-
His hitboxes don't even work half of the time, especially against people with high ping. The hit can be clear as day, and the game still denies it for some reason.
-
Tinkerer is a wasted perk slot on anyone except a 3000-hour blight or 5000-hour nurse, and on anyone including them against SWF. They will ALWAYS finish the gen before you can even get there. This perk is in a strong need of a buff: +15% haste status with "undetectable" would make it a bit more balanced.

You have bond, you should be able to find teammates really quick?
Finding teammates is one thing, getting their attention and telling them to heal me is another, especially closer to the end-game.
-
My comfy build: Iron Will, Spine Chill, Bond and Self-Care. I had to put Self-Care on after the 1000th time I died because couldn't get any teammate to heal me.
-
SoloQ is hell, there is nothing you can do.

I hope the rework is "Keys will now only work for the survivor who uses it."
And that's it.
The issue with Keys is that you can make Survivors escape with everyone still alive without finishing generators.
It's why it feels especially unfair. Since if you do close it, now the exit gates are open.
No, Keys should just allow that one survivor to escape and then done
It shuts back up and the generators aren't powered. It's a selfish escape.
It won't fix much, people will still dodge keys since they will remain unfair.
-
Well, then it should be "stated otherwise" for DS to make the perk balanced, that's what the thread is about.
-
Do something? Mmmkay, new skins and charms are coming to the store, happy shopping!
-
Spirit is destroyed by bugs right now. Blight is destroyed by bugs to the point you have to learn all the bugged surfaces on the maps and how to move your camera to avoid phantom rushes (occurrences where you clearly hit the survivor buy the hit just doesn't count). All the killers are affected by the "hit validation tech" at pallets, that should be considered a bug. There is a place on Haddonfield where you can literally Dead Hard through a wall (!!!) and all the survivors are now aware of it and keep abusing it. Oh, and that infamous "Iron Will on the ground" bug that has lasted for 3+ years and is still in the game.

And? A Perk should work all game, unless said otherwise.
I like it that Killers always point out that the game is not over when 5 Gens are done, but this also goes for DS - the game is still going on, no reason to disable DS in Endgame.
A Perk should work all game, unless said otherwise.
So you propose making NOED a generic hex perk that starts working from the beginning, and all hexes uncleansable? Interesting way of thinking.
-
I only bring items for archive challenges. And when I play killer, I avoid using addons.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Maybe go for different persons?
Like, you have 0 reason to actually be mad about DS. If the Survivor does anything to progress the game (which was the main point against DS), they lose it.
And if you get hit by a DS after almost a minute, this Survivor did nothing the whole time just to keep their DS.
What about the end-game? It gives a guaranteed escape, especially when combined to other second chance perks.

No because it's a mass population of NOOBS that the devs need to stop only listening to, tis why my voice is trying to be heard
Woah, the devs never listened to the players, however many complaints there could be. I'd like to remind you that Dead Hard is still not nerfed, and DS took 4 years to fix. They only listen to a few chosen streamers. So only when THEY complain about something - then, and only then will the devs change it.
-
It's almost well balanced, it will become better if it deactivates on interactions with lockers and exit gates too. Right now it's indeed easy to abuse and is mostly used to bully the killer.
-
A mod said it here on forums somewhere in a similar thread.
-
Appearance of a decent competitor.
-
So the system still rewards WiFi+VPN meta, but now it's survivor sided instead of killer sided as it was before. The current survivor meta of WiFi+VPN+stretched res is unbeatable now.
-
The devs have already stated they will never reward the camped players with bloodpoints or empblems, because "it has to be earned, not given" (c).
-
@Rougual said:
just moonwalk/mindgame.
You can't mindgame when the survivor clearly sees you every moment.
-
With stretched res a survivor can see behind the walls even if they are not supposed to. So mindgaming is basically dead in DbD: we are in the age of stretched res skillz now.
-
The basement will always spawn.
-
Does this build work good on Wraith? The amount of complaints makes me eager to try it.

Why SWFs dont repair gens faster than normal. Being in a SWF doesnt automatically give a map wide prove thyself.
They do, actually, since they work much more efficiently because of constant awareness about the situation on the map.
-
5 and 7 are good numbers. The game should be balanced around 5 gens, not the other way around.

That's not beating the camp, that's just trading hooks
You save the hooked survivor = you countered the facecamp. The OP claims it's impossible to save someone who is being camped, which is just false.

not the only way....make the game more end rewarding for a killer, so that his goal is to finish survivors only when the last gen is done, and offourse more difficult to open gates...search for matching keys to open them or something like that.
no more reason to camp and tunnel anymore if your goal is to hook all survivors not to kill right away.
then survivors made it till the end, dead or not, they got to play the game.
for the OP, toxicity is trough the roof the last week, even know 5 other players who dumped the game cause of the last days....killers an surviors, so not spending money on this game anymore....me neither by the way, and thats the part i dont get from a selling point of view from BHVR.....isn't that the point of selling a product? making as much cash as you can on happy buyers? Look at the amount of unhappy survivors...and killers? both blaming eachother...hmmmmm strange when you think about it, both want to play a fun game but both only get to play toxic games? As a survivor i never run in to supertoxic teammates?
The main reason behind Tunneling is that it helps removing one survivor from the game early. And people do it to win easier. The only way to remove it is to make it so that tunneling no longer helps to win games.
-
@CornHub said:
My advice is to slug more &/or bring NOED.
Slugging never works against SWF: they will recover in seconds. NOED only gives you a chance to down one extra survivor before it is cleansed.

I’m sorry but that is a horrible idea. It’s unanimously agreed upon that increasing gen speeds is not the solution to fixing SWF.
Of course increasing the gen speeds is a bad idea, decreasing the gen speeds, on the other hand, is a good one. For SWFs, that is.
-
The gen times should be doubled for SWFs.

Shared hooks is a bad idea and has been stated MANY times before. Killers will get no kills and 4ks would be impossible. It's a really bad idea. Glad you aren't on their balance team.
It's obvious the game will have to be balance a bit about it, and it has been stated MANY times before.
-
I tried to run meme builds, but every time I did this I was met with a waterfall of sweat from my opponents. So now I just camp with Bubba and gather salt from toxic SWF trolls for my amusement from time to time.
-
The only way to remove tunneling is to make survivors share hook states or something, the only way to remove camping is to remove the hook mechanic completely. These changes are so dramatic for DbD they will probably never happen, because the devs can't fix the "Iron Will on the ground" bug for more than 3 years I think. Some things are just too complicated for those who work on the game, so the only change you can expect is endless new cosmetics and visual reworks, and occasional new maps with hideous level design.
-
Those are SWF, you can't really do anything against them.
-
Trickster and Wraith
-
Similar idea has been proposed countless times, along with the idea about removing perk tiers. Unfortunately, the devs don't care and don't intend to change anything about the grind.

Except it doesn’t actually require any external actions/software/whathaveyou. Just a bit know-how on getting on there. It’s more like a “Oh, I didn’t know I could do that” than a cheat.
Every exploit requires "just a bit know-how".

you can ask that to the mods who said it's fine not me. This isn't an exploit, the gameplay is the same, and is not unfair for anyone
Killers who don't know about the exploit can't get there and it makes the survivors who do know how to perform it virtually invulnerable. It's an exploit by any other game's definition.
