The game is constantly crashing for most people, nothing unusual after an update.
-
Nope. "Just do bones", as they say!

All the competent staff has been reassigned to the NFT team.

And here we see how uninformed you are. The fact that the totems become uninteractable after a survivor has turned it into a boon totem is the issue and not that the totems cannot be interacted with at all.
What's even worse with the fact that a killer cannot snuff certain totems is that it was a known issue by the devs before the PTB launched.
And the reason for disabling the perks is probably more related to the crashing. And they are not disabled for me.
He means there have been countless issues with uncleansable totems in the past, and not a single hex perk has ever been disabled. Survivors just had to deal with it. But when it's the killers who are in trouble, THEN they demand the problematic perks to be disabled. That is exactly what is called a "privilege" by definition.
-
This map has the most ridiculous design, it's basically one small dead zone. Every game on this map is an automatic win for any killer.

@Slamadam said:
no they arent? but they should be. there are over 10 uncleanseable boon spots... they even added the killswitch for bs like this
I don't remember the devs disabling Hex Perks when unreachable totem spots were found. Why should they do it now with boons?

The crashing is so bad it actually stopped working...I havent been able to launch DbD for a while now...10/10 game of the year.
please go easy on the indie devs.....
Same here. I'm afraid we need NFT tokens now to be able to launch the game.
-
If only it just kept crashing, now I can't even get past the intro screen, it says "cannot connect to store". This update is a disaster, I guess all the competent staff has been reassigned to the NTF team.

Steam is down for routine maintenance, just like it does around this time every Tuesday.
Nope, just checked: steam is fine. It's on BHVR end.

Wow, you played the game without crashing? You've had some pretty decent experience then, no sarcasm intended.
I should've said just "wow, you've played the game!", because now the game doesn't even get past the "press space to continue" screen.

By the way, remember how everyone was sure it was a scam and fake news? Where are those opinion pros now?
-
I use BT - you survive and escape - your MMR goes up.
I use Self Care - I survive and escape - my MMR goes up.
Nothing personal, just SBMM
-
SBMM would be good if it were actual Skill-based Matchmaking instead of Escape-based as it is now.
-
The funniest part is that it's not even an exaggeration: default minecraft server will automatically kick you if you are in air for too long without creative mod, if you move too fast and so on. There is nothing like this in DbD: cheaters are flying like doves without any obstacles.

If other 3 survs escaped, Legions mmr will not go up either.
But if he was able to kill another one with NOED - his MMR won't change.
-
But in the end of the day your MMR will go down, and his MMR will go up. You lost and got outplayed by the better and more skillful player.

So would you rather have survivors loop you or hold W? Make up your mind.
It would only be fair for the survivor to stand still and wait for their death, obviously.
-
It's called VPN+WiFi meta. The higher the killer's ping, the longer the distance he can hit you from. Killer pings are not shown to survivors for a reason.
-
Should've played like a complete rat. The only way to play solo now.
-
Survivors are weak, the Comms are strong.
-
FOV slider for killer = bad and unbalanced. Stretch res allowing survivors to see in 360 degrees and behind obstacles = fair and balanced.

No, the best is running Lightborn and abusing those boosted rats.
Yeah, but by dodging you save yourself a perk slot
-
Flashlights are broken on their own, and since the devs are not going to do anything to fix them, dodging lobbies with flashlights is the best you can do at the moment.
-
Yeah, try playing soloQ survivor sometime, the experience will change your life.
-
It took them 2 years to implement the escape based matchmaking, how long do you think they will need to implement everything you suggested? Matchmaking in this game is done with.

Not using self care is a good start.
Anyone who has played soloQ knows that most of the times it's pointless to count on teammates healing you, so self-care is a necessity.
-
Waiting for the perks you want to appear in the shrine may take literal years now, since the shrine STILL refreshes only once in a week (52 times a year), and only has 2 random survivor and 2 random killer perks. You can calculate the probability of encountering a specific perk in the shrine within a month (or even a year) yourself, considering there are 185 perks in total at the moment. I guess you can just as well forget the shrine even exists now.
-
Hey, the solution is already there: you just do the chore of recording the game with your own means, since the game made in 2016 doesn't have a demo-recording feature of 1993 Doom, then you file a report in the game (required!), and then you waste 30 more minutes on filing the report with self-recorded video evidence on their official website! And then MAYBE your report will be viewed by the devs which MAYBE will issue a ban that cheaters can lift in the matter of hours (some infamous cheaters have been banned more than 40 times already and are still not retired). There you go, the cheater problem is solved!

Guess I'm the opposite because I run in more now to save someone since at worse I lose mmr which means lower mmr killers and at best I save them and we escape. I don't get why people want to force their mmr up and face sweatier matches, I guess some people prefer those kind of matches.
High MMR for survivors means better teammates

I think it is QoL.
It doesn't really make him stronger killer, or more dangerous to survivors. It is just so Legion feels better to play as.
Which of those you think is that big deal and should be called buff?
Maybe Collision one for body blocking is good enough to be called buff. I just think it is weird to lose collision for longer than normal hit.
Alright, I moved Collision and m1, but other than that is just QoL.
Reducing cooldowns, giving new information and extending the power duration is a buff, even if it's a small one. Of course it makes him feel better to play as, just like Spirit would feel better to play as if she could see survivors while phasing.
-
@Dino7281 said:
Yay, copy-paste time again, because my opinion didn't change, but feel free to try.
Changes I would do:
QoL changes:
- The Legion may see the blood pools of injured Survivors during Feral Frenzy.
- The Legion doesn't lose his power charges, when he m1.
- Feral Frenzy begins to replenish at the start of the fatigue state.
- The depletion of Feral Frenzy pauses while performing the break, damage and search interactions.
Buffs:
- Feral Frenzy’s movement speed is increased to 6 m/s after applying Deep Wound.
- Feral Frenzy’s fatigue state is 3 seconds and a missed Feral Frenzy attack prompts a 4 second fatigue state.
Do this and I am happy Legion main.
Maybe some add-on rework would be nice too. His add-ons are not bad overall imo, but there are some that need to be changed:
The Legion Pin - doesn't support play-style
Stab Wounds Study - useless
Frank's Mix Tape - useless
I like how people try to label actual buffs as "QoL". Let the spirit see survivors while she is phasing, that would be a decent QoL improvement too.
-
If our complaints actually did anything, DS, DH, UB, BT, Undying and NOED would have been nerfed about a few years ago. But they still aren't. So no, spirit's nerf has nothing to do with anyone's complaints, and it's not even an actual nerf, since her dust particles haven't been implemented after all.
-
Just use RPD/Midwich/Haddonfield/Swamp offering, and your totems will stand untouched until the end of the game.
-
It should be illegal to call this game "survivor sided" for someone who hasn't played at least 500 hours as a solo survivor.

How can he be annoying? Just go for press W to win mechanic and predrop pallets if u know he is without iri addon.
Wasting all the pallets on the map in one minute? Hmm, sounds like a counter, thank you.
-
He is not the weakest, but he is one of the most annoying ones. A killer with a built in wallhack doesn't need a buff.
-
Also Wraith: has no power at all if one survivor has a flashlight.

To be fair, you used redhead's pinky finger. Does not make it any less impressive tho, good job.
That was the whole point: two pink/purple addons win the game for you
-
@FellowKillerMain said:
If they add a dust effect to the spirit's footsteps, they should also add a dust effect to survivors vaulting at pallets. I don't know why the goal is to reduce the information killer's have access to, when information is sometimes more powerful than the killer's power. This whole controversy about the spirit comes down to information accessibility.
If it's fair to see Wraith in his invisibility, it should be fair to see Spirit in hers.
-
Just remap the controls in settings, lol
-
Because she would stop being an ez win factory then, and the devs can't allow it.
-
Tell the devs to make Kindred basekit. No one wants to waste a whole perk slot for something that doesn't help them personally, and something they should have out of the box (as SWFs do).
-
Welcome to Elo Hell, my friend! Now you will only get potato teammates because of your low MMR, and your MMR will continue to drop because of potato teammates.

Every system can be exploited and by revealing how it works you ain't helping at all to prevent the exploiting from happening. I don't think is a perfect system, but it's much better than what we have, and yes... obviously like in most other games people will still try to abuse or exploit it, but at least devs aren't helping such bad behavior by even exposing how it works.
So you want to say every other game in existence that uses MMR is doing it wrong, and BHVR is the only team doing it the correct way in their DbD?
-
Back in the day people DC'ed by literally pulling the cable. The system can't recognize whether the connection was broken intentionally or not. They should just remove the DC penalty whatsoever, since it's not a competitive game.
-
All rare and ultra-rare add-ons break the game since the make the killer unintentionally stronger in any way. There can't be any "balance" when addons are a thing.
-
They say they hide it to "prevent abusing of the system", which makes no sense, because players can just suicide or AFK to intentionally reduce their MMR anyway. I think the real reason why they hide it is to hide the fact if it doesn't work as intended, as usual.
