  • So, I've been playing only Nurse for quite some time, and things were going fine. Sometimes I win, sometimes not so much, overall the game felt balanced. But then I decided to have some variety and try Blight. And boy oh boy Boy oh boy Oooh boooooy It's a nightmare. Pallet after pallet, stun after stun, constant indoor maps where his power is even less usable than Nurse's, his power only hits

  • When the killer can just tunnel you or one of your teammates at 5 gens and there is practically nothing you can do. Tunneling can realistically be countered in coordinated SWFs, and it still would require wasting half of perk slots for basic needs, so what is the point playing soloQ then? It's as if you are not even meant to play, but instead to be human-controlled NPC for the killer's amusement.

  • And it should include general information about all of the perks. If the player fails to answer correctly what a perk does - he fails the exam and can only try again after a 24h cooldown. The cooldown should increase exponentially after each consecutive failure, and it should take just one wrong answer to fail the whole exam. And yes, it should be strictly timed too. I was just accused of cheati

  • Just had several games as survivor, both in Chaos mode and default, with this challenge equipped. In all cases, not a single green glyph was spawned, no matter how many gens and hooks happened. Their auras are supposed to be highlighted once EGC activates, so I tried waiting for the EGC and nothing was shown, even though according to wiki there were supposed to spawn up to 6 glyphs. Did they remo

  • These are kinds of perks which purpose is to plainly prolong the opponent's objective. They all make the game frustrating and unfun for the opposite side. This is the reason why they are always in meta, and why every change in them always creates huge unrest in the community. It's hard to defend gens against SWFs, but it would be bearable if those SWFs didn't have 15 health states due to all the

  • I mostly play Wraith, and most of my games end up with 4k's, so I would expect my Wraith MMR to rise continuously. But yet I get potato survivors in half of my games, making those 4k's even easier. But when I pick a killer I have barely touched, almost always I get sweat squads with 100 prestige and baiting cosmetics. I have to dodge several lobbies before I find something decent, and even then I

  • Out of about 20 of today's soloQ games, in HALF of them a survivor was leading the killer to other survivors. Most of the times it happened with the 2 survivors remaining. Almost always the killer then proceeded to let the rat go, and once when I was ratted out and hooked, the rat was just spamming the unhook animation until I "bled out" on the hook. The latter happened after I looped the kille

  • As an average soloQ enjoyer, I know very well that the endgame is basically 1v1v1v1v1, or as many "1"s as there are players left. So of course when I'm left with just one teammate and 2+ gens left, I don't hope to finish all of them, so I wait for the other guy to die so that I at least have a chance of escaping. However successful that happens to be, I always hear the same catch phrase from at l

  • For the last couple of days, every third game happens to have one survivor who intentionally sells out his teammates and leads the killer to them, after which the killer lets him go as a "thank you" for ez game. It happened before, but much more rare, now it looks like some kind of new meta in soloQ or something. Have you noticed the same pattern? Why is it happening?

  • We all know that in DbD skill = escapes . So, how can you play skillfully in soloQ? Just use the new Sole Survivor meta. As soon as any of your teammates dies too early, start hiding. Avoid the killer, because looping is not skill , skill = escapes . Ignore gens, because gens are not skill , skill = escapes . Wait for all your teammates to die. Don't go for saves, because unhooks is no

  • Just had a game as basement Bubba. Hooked one survivor, stand on the stairs. A Laurie shows herself upstairs and starts running in place, as if lagging. Then - boom, she is already unhooking the survivor in the basement. So basically a "sneaky" teleport into the basement, bypassing the stairs. Nothing extraordinary here, just wanted you guys to know there is one more kind of cheats out there. An

  • We added Escape Based MMR which nobody likes, everyone opposes it and demands to rework it at best or to scrap it altogether at worst. We ignore it, because this game is similar to hockey, and one lead designer knows better than thousands of experienced players. We added the disastrous map of Raccoon City, which almost nobody likes. People suicide and AFK on it, people "crash" on RPD offerings,

  • Just had a game in soloQ. Started doing a gen with one Cheryl in the shack. Spine Chill goes off, so I go into a locker, while the clueless Cheryl remains on gen. It was Ghostface, he starts stalking her, and she doesn't see him. She gets exposed, runs towards my locker and tries to open it to show to killer I'm there, and then gets downed. Of course the killer doesn't ignore it and accepts the h

  • If anyone had any doubts, it shows perfectly which side the devs take in this "us vs them" argument. NOED has been the most unfair and hated perk in the game, turning occasional 0k into 2k, 1k into 3k, and 2k into 4k with no extra effort required. CoH wasn't that strong in the first place, if we don't touch the problematic subject of SWF, and they nerf it after a couple of months. I guess "just

  • (Just in case, before I begin: I myself play both roles almost equally, and I'm not a "main" of any side. I usually play as whoever has the fastest queue time at the moment.) We all have seen our fair share of these "us vs them" threads, we see them every day, but many of you might have already noticed that such threads made by killer mains are greatly prevailing. Every day you can see them comp

  • 4.5.0 was in January 2021, it's when we got the new HUD, clown rework, wraith buff etc. Let's see what we have been getting since then: 4.6.0 - The Trickster, one of the worst designed killers in the game, still remaining as such. 4.7.0 - The Trickster is buffed and now it's impossible to suicide quickly (skillchecks): someone will still save you before you can go to the next game, forcing you

  • if the game STILL can crash or kick you to the main menu with no apparent reason? I don't know any other development team in existence that punish the players for EXPERIENCING bugs! You get punished for being the victim of a broken game, by the broken game! How is it even comprehensible?

  • Think about giving it a shot. Join soloQ. The killer is a facecamping clown (in both senses). Still no anti-camping mechanics, after 5 years in development. Get facecamped. Let go on hook. Close the game. Uninstall. Nope, just nope, I guess I'll have to go back to playing propnight and waiting for VHS.

  • No Mither is making killer games absolutely miserable when it's abused. Broken status is absolutely broken, the fact that I can hit someone while carrying a survivor and they stand up from the ground ready to unhook said survivor in a instant. I really hope they go down the road of making No Mither a limited use like Hex’s, having 3-4 survivors be able to stand up indefinitely each and having to

  • Look at the following possible scenarios: Hatch game. Two survivors left, some gens remain. One survivors is downed, the other is hiding hoping for the hatch. The killer slugs for 4k. The slugged survivors is crawling to the remaining survivor, thus leading the killer to the other survivor in order to sell him out. Same as above, but the killer then lets the slugged survivor go as a "thank you

  • But still leave these bs hits through windows and pallets untouched. Like yeah, survivors totally have no legit reason to DC, not even after getting hit from 7 meters away after a window vault.

  • For how long is it going to keep happening? I've lost progress on countless challenges already because I was sure it was selected (as it was supposed to), but then after the trial realized it was "no challenge selected" the whole time. Is it broken by design?

  • So will DH be like new pallets, where you clearly hit a survivor, see him scream, but then your hit gets rolled back? Is this a new step of testing killers' patience of how much they can endure before uninstalling or turning into full bubba-facecamp-1st-hook mode?

  • I mean, is it even possible now? With the escape based matchmaking every time you die - your MMR drops. Starting with a certain point you will get survivors which will make it impossible for you to escape without the hatch (which doesn't give you much MMR anyway). And with every new death caused by potato teammates your MMR will go even lower and you will die more, walking the vicious cycle. So h

  • Is it just me, or loading into trials started to take literal minutes after the update? It's launching fine, finds a lobby quickly, and then when the actual trial tries to load, it takes forever. Just now I had to wait for MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES to load into a trial! How is it even possible to have to wait for the game to LOAD longer than to find a match?
1 comments 51 views last activity
  • Why is it still hidden? Shouldn't we be able to see our MMR score, like we can in every other game with MMR? Because the only made up reason for hiding it is now irrelevant after the devs confirmed how the algorithm works, what's the point of hiding it now?

  • I complete 3 gens from 0 to 100, save two teammates and heal one of them just after that, then loop the killer for a minute and get hooked. The last gen gets done and all 3 teammates escape, leaving me to die on my first hook. Result: their MMR goes up, my MMR goes down. Well, I guess they are just better players.

  • We all know about the new and trendy "hit validation tech": if the survivor has a 300+ ms ping, you won't be able to hit them at any pallet, and if you do - the game will just take the hit back. But pallets are not the only place where WiFi lords get their advantage: if you try to play Blight against people with 3-digit pings you will not be able to land a single hit: because of how quick Blight

  • We all know No Mither is the worst survivor perk that makes the survivor weaker than if he hadn't any perk at all. Recently I found out that the new Object of Obsession is also such a perk: it's the worst killer locating perk which also gives your location away to the killer. I actually tried the 4-eyes build of OoO, Dark Sense, Deja Vu and Kindred, and my games actually went well untill OoO trig

  • In first you destroy solo survivors at 4 gens, and in second you get completely destroyed by SWF with 4 hooks. There is nothing in between. It's like the zebra strips: this game I get ez win, the next one I get destroyed by the powers of comms to the point I have to give up, so that I have an opportunity to wipe the floor with a bunch of solos just after that. It's how it's been going for be the

  • Just had a game against the Twins. Most of the game time we spent on looking for gens, but after all we managed to do 4 gens, and two of us had 1 hook state, two had 0. One could think: that's it, victory, the killer has lost! One more gen to go and boom - 4 escapes! Right? Right? I thought so too, but the Twins had an ace up their sleeve. And that ace is called "Hawkins level design". After thos

  • Here is the full (I hope) list of core game problems that, as it seems, are going to stay in the game forever. SWF . This one is obvious, and the most fundamental and important issue. Comms break the balance as nothing else. A competent SWF team will destroy most killers. It also leads to the fact that the devs can't get a proper balance between survivors in general and killers, because of the

  • Just had a game as the Doctor where I looped one survivor for god know how long around a single pallet. I shocked and he vaulted, I shocked and he vaulted. How is it even possible? He didn't have Calm Spirit, he was screaming and yet vaulting the pallet while screaming. Did they nerf the Doctor and now his shock doesn't do anything? Or was that a cheater?

  • It's getting impossible once you hit purple ranks. I've tried everything, it's just hopeless. A game against SWF is a guaranteed loss. Not only that, it's stressful as hell. You sweat and stress out your guts, calculating and using every millisecond of time as efficiently as humanly possible, to the point you are about to faint from exhaustion, only to lose at the end and receive your teabags at

  • Make a system that awards players with +100 post-game bloodpoints for typing "gg" or "good game" and +150 bloodpoints for typing "wp" or "well played". This bonus should be nullified if the player typed "ez" in the same post-game chat. It won't have any impact on the economy, but will be a nice addition and incentive to be nicer in the chat.

  • Then there would be literally no reason to do dull totems. Well, other that +1000 bp, but if we are talking only about gameplay, NOED is the only reason to break dull totems in the game. Just think about it: a whole game mechanic is hinged upon one single perk. You can also mention "inner strength", but it was added much later and if you don't have it - you still have to do bones for one reason:

  • A lot of games I had as a soloQ survivor end up with the new kind of hatch standoff, where just two survivors remain with several gens to do and wait for each other's death to get the hatch. So most of the times I'm the one who stays alive, find the hatch and wait for the teammate's death while he is on hook, since saving him is suicidal at this moment and will just lead to 4k instead of 3k. And

  • In order to win games, you need competent teammates. In order to get competent teammates, you need high MMR. In order to get high MMR, you need to win games. We have a vicious circle here. What should I do if I already have low MMR and only get matched with literal bots who die like flies? It's impossible for me to win with such teammates, and without winning my MMR will never get any higher,

  • Now that the "SB"MM is out, you all my fellow soloQ survivors will have a bad time from now on. They have been gathering info on your "performance" for the last few month to base your "MMR" score on. And they did it the BHVR way: the metrics they were using are probable developed by the same team the emblem system was created by. It means if you do 2 gens, 2 unhooks, win 4 chases and then escape

It's a second chance perk, like DS, UB and BT, but if DS and UB only work once per trial, this "Press E to Win" nonsense can be used and abused basically every chase. It's one of the most overpowered and unbalanced perks. If survivors have an ability to get extra life per every chase
