lmao what, how is playing insidious camping bubba protesting NFTs
If anyone is doing this to protest NFTs then they are stupid, as they are punishing survivors, not BHVR, plus, no one will have any idea this is the reason and it is not spreading a message
Want to boycott the game because of NFT → the boycott doesn't work since everyone is still playing the game → now is the time to force others out of the game with some facecamping, tunneling and slugging to make the boycott work a bit better and ruin the game as a "retaliation". I think that would be the logic. How else do you protest against something in DbD?
-
Again. The killer on console, the survivors are cool.
-
So, you finally have evidence of that actually happening? May we get acquainted with it?
-
In the last 30 games I've encountered only a couple of DCs. I have no idea what you are talking about.

Can someone explain me please how is it fun to play 4k-afk-4k-afk-4k-afk...?
This sounds kinda stupid.
I hear winning is more fun than losing.

No one seems to DC in my games, both as killer and survivor.
-
Forget it, there is no such thing as "compassion" or "etiquette" in this community. Being nice is looked down upon by players, as you can see in this thread. Eat or be eaten, BM or be BM'd. Being toxic is now part of the game, if you are not - you are bad at the game.

DS bug that made some killers only a 1 second stun to DS was fixed in 2 weeks.
Yeah, I don't think the hatch spawning before only one survivor remaining was a bug...
-
Not a single piece of evidence as far as I know.
-
And has there ever been some kind of evidence of this actually happening?

Quick to deliver? Hasn't it been like a year? Moris were nerfed well before I joined during Resident Evil. And that is when the demand spiked.
Albeit, I kind of agree, the item is pretty useless now. Good for when they find the hatch first despite you knowing where it is, I guess?
A year for BHVR is quick.
-
They only nerf unlicensed killers like Billy, Nurse, Spirit and Gunslinger. Nemesis won't be touched in the next 2 years since that DLC is still generating some profit. Your argument could also go for Pyramid's ranged attack, and he won't be touched either. Ranged Pinhead will probably be buffed in the near future because killers were not satisfied with his performance.
-
The killers demanded the hatch nerf, and the devs were quick to deliver. The key still can be used by the last survivor if the killer closes the hatch, and even then if the killer patrols the hatch - you won't be able to escape since there is now an animation of opening the hatch, with progress bar. So we now have an item that is usable only one trial out of ~30, probably the most useless item in the game so far.
-
The "weight" doesn't have anything to do with it. It's the devs and their decisions alone. The game itself could be hundreds times larger and more complicated and still work like clockwork if the devs set their priorities to this. But instead of working on the game they spend their resources on cosmetics, events and NFT. It's not because they can't, they just don't want to.
-
How dare those filthy survivors run away from the killer! They must stand still and wait for the killer to kill them, that's the whole point of the game!

i don't know, what was the point of ganking someone out of the game on 2nd down
both keys and moris screwed people out of part of the game, i guess you've never run stuff like blood warden/no way out that did absolutely nothing to people that skipped exit gate entirely?
Killing after 1 hook = skipping a hook phase, therefore requiring 8 hooks instead of 12 for the total wipe. It's like having an offering that would automatically repair two gens at the start of the trial.
Making 4 escape with the hatch = skipping 20 seconds of door opening animation.
You are comparing uncomparable.

'kaaaaay.......
but i need you to roll with me on this one
how long has it been possible to 4e through the hatch with one key at killer's expense before last patch
aaaaand how long do you think that was viewed as a problem comparitively speaking
What's the point of making 4 escapes through the hatch with a key? Back then hatch could only spawn when the number of gens done was 1 higher than the number of alive survivors. So making 4 escapes was only possible after all 5 gens were done, when the gates were available. What would be the point then? The killer had already lost by that moment, 4e with the hatch was never a game changer.

it doesn't really work that way with survivor mechanics, even before factoring that new dlc = significant delays before any major nerf
Mr. Hatch wants to have a word with you. But it will be hard to find him though, since he is invisible now.
-
Don't fear, they will nerf boons to the point of complete uselessness because of all the cries soon.

No joke, I think the best way to learn this game and climb is to use information perks almost exclusively.
Toss away exhaustion perks, remove DS, and get rid of anything else that helps you in a chase. Replace them with Bond, Open-Handed, Kindred, and Prove Thyself or Small Game and play like that for awhile. I guarantee you'll notice that you don't need to be running for saves often at all because someone else will, or that running into certain areas can be game-throwing. This will in turn will raise your chances of survival since you'll be making correct and efficient decisions more often.
I promise you, you'll become more aware of your surroundings, become more reliant on map assets to survive, and learn how to be more efficient overall as you play. Once you get that down, swap out to whatever build you like. The new skills you'll have that revolve core concepts and mechanics will make the stronger survivor perks even stronger to use.
---
And if you think you're already good enough that this strategy won't work for you, then that's wonderful. But then this post would be meaningless since you should be surviving more than half of your games quite easily if you're actually that decent at the role.
Please, explain, how can I survive most of my trials if I'm the only one in the team doing gens and all my teammates die after 2 seconds of chase? Even if I loop for infinite time, I'm not going out if there is no one else doing gens. And I won't be able to do all 5 gens without being desturbed either, since the killer will eventually get to me after he is done with all other survivors (often in about a minute or less)

How do you escape with potato teammates?
I guess he means you are supposed to complete 5 gens alone and then open the gate without being caught once. If you are a good player, you allegedly should be able to do this more often than not.

I like going against Pinhead with hoarder
Because what usually happens from my experience is:
- Competent survivor picks up box
- Pinhead tries to catch them, fails and basically throws the game trying to catch them
- They either lose all the gens or DC when they realise they've thrown the game
I laugh every time it happens
How can they lose the gens if the survivors aren't able to do them because of never ending chains?
-
Well, you still can hit people at pallets, see them take a hit and scream in pain, and then your hit will be "rolled back" because ######### you, killer is here to suffer. It happens once in almost every my game as the killer.
-
Not before they make event gens invisible to the killer.
-
After being camped and tunneled over and over again in low ranks, most survivors learn the true nature of most killers in this game and try to retaliate to them when they get better at the game. When I started playing the game as a survivor, I was BM'd countless times, like being left to bleed out when I was the last survivor in the game of getting facecamped with no reason. After that I learned to always drop a few teabags before leaving escaping as a nice "thank you" to all the killers, who are mostly toxic by definition. Now it's mostly a habit.
Well, now that I play both roles about equally, I also BM survivors when I suspect them being in SWF, or any survivors I play against after a game with SWF, for all those miserable torments with endless flashlights, stuns and bodyblocks. So I guess it works both ways.

I don't enjoy stomping new killers, so that's a no...
You won't be stomping anyone, that's the point. Read the OP.
-
The same happened with Hawkins. We all waited for it to go for good, but they just disabled the offerings. BHVR can't even remove something from the game properly.
-
Since the introduction of MMR, the win/loss conditions are pretty much defined by the devs already. Escape = win, death = loss, 3-4k = win, 0-1k = loss.
-

Your argument about killer is just not valid, because of this part = "except those where I intentionally lost to lower my MMR"
That means you are not playing against good survivors, because you want to have free 4Ks, you don't want to have harder games, you are not in high MMR.
Try win around 100 games with as many kills as you can, then we can talk again.
Yeah, try doing the same thing as a solo survivor, that is lowering your MMR to the ground, and see what happens.

U are overreacting it's much easier to escape as survivor than 4k with killer. Even if survivor is potato there are perks that allow u to play like rat and escape almost every game.
Since the EBMM was introduced, I played almost equally both survivor (only solo) and killer. Out of every 10 games as survivor, I managed to escape once, maybe twice. Every my game as the Killer, except those where I intentionally lost to lower my MMR, I got 4k or 3k with hatch. So no, 4k is not harder than escaping as a solo survivor, it's the other way around by a long shot. The only reason I still play survivor is instant lobbies during daytime.

no kidding, as i type this i am sitting in the end screen of another sandbag match where a survivor from the 10th game decided to body block me into a room with a hillbilly, needless to say i disconnected and left them to their bully match.
and the great thing is this will in turn "reward" me by dropping me lower where im again in even more matches that i do most of the gens and still get bent over and abused
You might as well quit playing survivor with the current system. Or at least forget about escaping and playing normally. This EBMM works great for killers: just a few intentional loses and you get matched against brand new potato survivors, where you can have all the fun in the world. And when after 20 4k's in a row you feel like you get more and more sweaty survivors, you just throw a few more trials to get back to potatoes. Killer's life is honey with this matchmaking, while solo survivors should abandon all hope.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
I was trying to do that achievement and they just started hiding in lockers until I gave up. Lol.
Dude... You can just drop them and then mori.
-
That's escape based matchmaking for you. The devs have no idea how their own game works since they only play it to test functionality, and the refuse to listen to players. Moreover, with every death your MMR will drop even lower, and you will get even worse teammates, leading you to even more deaths and even lower MMR. Escape Based Matchmaking for solo survivors is a ridiculous Elo hell, which doesn't even deserved to be called "Elo" since it's not even a proper MMR system in the first place.

Yah your not immune to the chainsaw while unhooking a survivor. Or even a regular hit.
Try facecamping with Bubba you can't really fail unless you've never played before. I'm not particularly good at killer but it's really really easy and there is nothing they can do.
Granted without Bubba it's still pretty easy to get the grab but he makes it trivial
This post is in no way a criticism of the dbd devs and should not be taken as such. It is also not intended to point out any forum rules being violated both of which are understood to be against forum rules.
You are not immune while unhooking, but the survivor that is being unhooked is. We are talking about saving a camped survivor, and it's more than possible. No one said anything about saving the unhooker.

I'm confident that 95% of the killers I faced in the past two days were hacking. In atleast one case I messaged one of them and not only did he admit to hacking/ cheating but he said that he knows Behavior won't do anything about it and that we all need to get used to it.
The saddest thing is he is right though...

How exactly do you safe someone from a hook infront of Bubba with or without comms? Every other killer has to time a grab but Bubba swings that saw and hits everyone nearby?
This post is in no way a criticism of the dbd devs and should not be taken as such. It is also not intended to point out any forum rules being violated both of which are understood to be against forum rules.
The chainsaw can be baited, or otherwise they can fill the tantrum meter and then go for the safe after the swing is over. Don't forget that survivors are immune to damage while in animations and BT exists. If you wanna see how it's done - try camping against a 4-man SWF yourself, you'll see how.

I think those are protesting against NFT this way.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/289002/tunneling-and-noed
Why tunnell when you can just camp though? It's more effective with less skill required so there isn't a chance the survivors can react
If you camp against a SWF, they will save the camped teammate no matter what, not even playing as Bubba can protect you from the ultimate power of comms. Not to mention SWF will also manage to complete 5 gens before the camped survivor even hits the second stage. Tunneling is on the other hand the most efficient strategy in the game.
-
Wait, can NOED take a totem that is "blessed"?
-
They also have to add touching the exit gates switch to that list. I guess in 2 or 3 years the will implement it eventually.
-
500k have nothing to do with cheating. 500k bp in a month is nothing, it's less than the change you have after buying a bubble gum.
-
It's fine as it is, this way I can camp the event generators and get at least some revenge on survivors for all those "hit validations techs" where survivors ignore my hits even though they scream. The killer should not be the only role that suffers.
-
The "tunnel Mikaelas to death" build
-
There could be a mirroring perk that would also trigger when all the gens are done. It could undo some of killer's work and give a guaranteed chance to escape. You know, for example it could heal the survivor instantly! That would be a good mirror to NOED's insta-down. Also, it could give some boost, like speed boost or something, you know, so that even if the killer is chasing the survivor - the survivor gets a free ticket out of the chase! But nah, I don't think they will ever implement something like this: two strong perks in one is just too unbalanced, and there would be no way for the killer to "break" or avoid the perk completely like the survivors can with NOED. And even if BHVR ever implemented something like this, there would be a game breaking bug making this perk even stronger than it was intended, like it would heal you even if you are on hook or something, so that when you get unhooked you are instantly healthy and get the same speed boost, even if the trigger time happened many seconds ago. And they would then leave it as is instead of fixing it. So no, I don't think such a perk will ever make it into the game.
-
Loading into the trial, I was Wraith. Happened yesterday, don't remember who the survivors were.

Well, when most of your team is busy implementing NFT stuff, it's hard to find free and competent resources to work on the actual game.
