AI’S ?
The new killer will take AI to the next level?

The point is, every survivor has the basic tools with which to counter every single killer in the game. You avoid or dodge their attacks. Yet survivors still complain that there's "no counters" to X killer and that they need to have invincibility via DH or DS or BT to stand a chance.
You are clearly talking about the "Nerf Spirit" conversations, which was totally fair imo. Every other killer has a counterplay. Besides, Spirit got some sort of nerf in the last patch so the devs clearly agreed.
What other killers is " every survivor" complaining about?
-
Sounds like someone got 360-spun a few times, eh?
Killer skill and survivor skill are 2 completely different things.

All of the "wallhack" addons should have a downside similar to scratched mirror (no tier up/bloodlust) and Amanda's letter (1 trap base). Wraith's has no downside whatsoever.
Agreed.
The fact that Blight’s Compound21 needed a nerf says enough. The wall hack add on is waaaaay too much.
-
It’s horrible. People who claim to “love it” have nothing more to say about it other than it looks good. Is that really enough for some people?
There are TONS of reasons not to like it. I dare someone to make a list of positives so I can at least try to look it in your perspective and try to like it as well.
For me, it is hell. For killers it’s impossible to patrol, impossible to find people. The chasing as so dull, the corridors make it just a “W-fest”. Equip some hex perks and you are good to go.
For survivors it’s impossible to navigate. The loops are non-existent except for 1 downstairs in the west wing. Rest is just corridors with safe pallets or rooms with a pallet next to a chair. There are some rooms with a pallet that can be mindgamed, but there is nothing to chain it with. Camp the pallet and wait for the killer to hit you or break the pallet, and off to the next one. If you leave before you will be hit. If you are so unlucky to be hooked early on, and your team doesn’t know the map you are basically screwed. I’ve reached 2nd hook stage so many times just because my team couldn’t get to me in time.
I can go on and on and on and on. I never ever used map offerings before this map came out, now I use it all the times and that is what my focus is on when I do bloodwebs.
The devs didn’t even try to make a good make gameplay wise. I can’t understand why. They are doing a great job with aesthetics and stuff, but the last 2 maps have been utterly garbage.
Just to clarify: they look good.
Thanks for reading.

Hmm... I wonder how killer only or mains will feel about having to find survivor totems. Anyway assuming they do get implemented, it's going to give killers another objective to complete. Not survivors, that is assuming it's the same as killer totems.
No I think they will be for survivors to cleanse. It would be weird to give killers another objective.
Im looking forward to see the effects they will give. Might be haste/stealth for an amount of time. Maybe bonus progression on actions as well. Maybe stacking increase of aura reading range and time.
Maybe we will see some new offerings as well, for example one more or one less totem spawn in the trial. Just like the chest offerings.

How come a Killer is punished if a Survivor afks? (No chase, no pallets to break)
Or if a Survivor kills themselves on first hook? (Again; less chases, less pallets to break, less Struggle points rewarded)
Or DCs? (Not the same as a sacrifice, as you do not get points for the hook stages this way)
Goes both ways.
How come every time someone asks a question towards one side, the “other side” turns the question around? Every time. Lmao.

Wraith with a christmas hoodie, kinda like the hoodie he already has.
-
Really hoping for a shapeshifter werewolf killer!
-
I can confirm the VPN stuff, I’ve noticed multiple times people using it. I play from Norway on PC and when I suspect it I check the killers profile. Sometimes I am right, sometimes not.
I’ve played killers from Mongolia, Japan, Vietnam, Peru and many more I can’t remember. Players who is clearly exploiting it, being super toxic and saying “ez” when they win.. A super big ugh!
I expect survivors to use it too, but I haven’t personally noticed it. I do believe killers to benefit from VPN the most.
-
I love how they changed Borrowd time to activate every time you unhook someone.
-
Average queue timer or some sort of expected waiting time to find a game.

@Northener1907 said:
Oh my God, someone still wanna nerf for DS. :( It is already weak perk lol
This is kind of broken though. If you are opening a gate then you are moving the game forward and the perk should deactivate.
I do believe DS should activate on both unhooks though - that’s my honest opinion since the perk was nerfed.
-
@Nathan13 said:
I’ve said plenty of times that DS should disable if you’re opening a gate. What else is the killer supposed to do just leave and let you open it??
Down -> Slug
Only thing to do really.
This should not be a thing. DS should deactivate when a survivor touch the gate.
-
All. The. Time. Lmao
-
I was watching Ninja before when I played Fortnite, when he suddenly had a few days playing DbD with some other streamers. I thought it looked fun so I started watching DbD on YouTube and Twitch before eventually buying the game for myself. Now it is my go-to game :)
-
As a red tank solo survivor I see a lot of Self Care, never run it myself. But in solos this perk is used a lot. Same goes with rank 8+, so I can easily see that this is the most used perk - especially when the most used survivor is Claudette.
I also see A LOT of Wraith, they did buff him during this year so it is not weird he is used a lot now.
-
The guys probably tried to make the damn hatch escape challenges or open the hatch with a key challenge.. those are a pain in the butt. Whenever I try it and put a key early I am met with hard tunnelling, Franklin-builds. And I can’t blame the killer for doing it either, these challenges shouldn’t exist. They only make life miserable for both sides. The last second switch is pretty much the only way it is possible sometimes haha. I actually just moved on without making those challenges, they just Made me rage quit.
This being said, these last second switches really shouldn’t be a thing. Killers are locked from the start, the survivors should be too. At least for the last 15 seconds when you can’t lobby-dodge anymore.
-
Or,
There are two totems that spawns.
Maybe each of them could be cleansed, so that the effect could be activated twice in a game.

So you're playing an unplayable game...? I thought it was unplayable...
Really? You don’t get what people mean by “unplayable”? Or you just don’t want to understand it? Or are you being ironic?

I don't disagree with him and i play on console.
I play survivor because it's the only way I can bare to play right now. Killer is unplayable because the slightest bit of lag will cause you to lose a survivor in chase. Also using any killer power will cause lag, etc, etc.
Don't claim to speak for all console players if you don't actually represent how we feel.
I can confirm. It’s bad on console and killer is the worst.
Every time a perk, a status effect or even bloodlust activates there is some sort of freeze.
So glad I am on pc now.

«New» build
-
I really hoped that the Devs could've learned from Midwitch, but nope - here they are making an even worse map. It's waaaayy too huge. Each floor could be it's own full map. There are like 2 places you can actually do loops or mindgames. The rest is just corridors and small rooms.
It's almost like trying to make a Resident Evil map-copy to DBD was a bad idea..
It would've been so much better to have the Police station as a main building with a street and maybe some small areas open in other buildings as the map. The main room, with a few adjacent rooms is enough to make your stupid tributes (though some may like them whoch is fair) to the RE game. You don't need like 20 in one map lmao.
For next time/map: Focus on gameplay, not aestethics.
-
Can confirm.
Although I am happy with the buffs, wraith does seem to attract the most toxic people.
The points being made over does make sense.
My usual Wraith encounter:
- Add-on: Silent bell, all-seeing blood
- Map: Indoor
- Perks: All meta
:)
-
The all seeing blood should be needed. It’s basically a wallhack. It is totally BS. The fact that Blights compound21 got a nerf, but all seeing didn’t is just beyond. Like, what where they thinking. I guess they weren’t
The silent bell is ok. It is an ultra rare add on that changes up the game a bit which is fair.

I think that only bm'ing during the game and insults via messages are toxic.
Camping, tunneling, bodyblocking, genrushing etc are not toxic if there is no bm involved. I understand that farming is kinda beneficial now during the event but not everyone should be forced to do it. And that doesn't make those people not nice.
Then you agree with me here :)
Being called names for not burning cakes when I don’t have any on my character, that’s not the kind of players I want to play with.
Survivor teammates leaving me on first hook, killers face camping me if they get a lucky down 20 seconds into the game - not the kind of players I want to play with.
I just had a nice game, survivors and killer wishing each other happy anniversary. That is my type of players <3 :)
-
@Luciferr_2nd said:
I've been getting lots of nice people recently, a large amount seemed like really friendly people.
I hope your experience with players improves :(
I know it will. But this event has been mostly bad. I just dont understand why :(
-
@Shaped said:
What do you consider nice?
Hmm I dont know. Everything everyone in here calling "toxic".
Ive had a few good matches today, fair and everything. But man oh man, this event has called upon some serious badass people..
-
Played with my buddy last night. In the same amount of blood points used he got 20 cakes and I got 5. Same survivor, same prestige. Lmao.
-
Yes. DC ban is now off so I get at least one DC every Spirit game. I dont really blame either. 4 solos vs Stridor Spirit is not fun.
-
Ugh, tough. But this will hopefully be fixed soon.
Also, for the next time. You should cover their names. I think that is forum rules..
-
@Luciferr_2nd said:
A meta will always exist, thats not a problem of course people want to use the strongest perks.
I think it sucks that killers need slowdown perks to get anywhere, but unfortunately the game is balanced around having those perks so theres no fix.
If the average trial finally got balanced around not having those perks, and those perks got nerfed, then maybe we would see more diversity in perks. Same for the survivor side
How you do that though i have no idea.
Indeed.
The devs have stated that they don't want to release any more meta perks, they instead want to release perks that they think will go well with others.

As a newer player, most of the videos I watched just list the same perks over and over again. Ruin, Undying, Pop Goes the Weasel, Corrupt Intervention, Tinkerer, and Barbecue and Chili.
Very rarely is anything else recommended. I was actually shocked Lethal Pursuer wasn't more commonly advised for new players because, well, the first 30 seconds of the game are so important and often I can't find anyone before that. Lul.
When I started I always equipped Discordance. Good to guide you to where the survivors are pressuring gens.
Those are the strongest perks and combos, of course they will be recommending them. But there are more good combos:
- Sloppy Butcher and Nurse's Calling: Make them use forever to heal and see where they are when they try to. Throw in Thanatophobia as well and this is a really strong combo.
- Surveillance also goes well with gen slow down perks such as Ruin
- Enduring + Spirit Fury, will take all survivors by surprise
- Monitor % Abuse + Infectious Fright, good for anti-flashlight and or pallet stun when you pick up survivors. Also this is lethal on killers such as Bubbba who can down multiple survivors at once in one chainsaw sprint
OP: You don't NEED those perks to be competitive with survivors, maybe for the rank1 sweat squads but those are far in between. I see a lot of interesting perk-combos from killers I face.
As a survivor, the only perk i must have is Borrowed Time. All other perks can be changed with different builds.

I'm pointing out the hypocrisy. Survivors are allowed to run meta & try their hardest to win. But Killers, doing the same thing, are 'toxic' and 'should be banned', according to these forums.
What do you mean? It sounds like you only read complaints from survivors? Take a look at these forums, there are just as much complaints from killers than from survivors.
And please, stop looking at survivors like they are all the same person.
-
@Power_Guy said:

Survivors Run 4 meta perks on 4 survivors, along with voice comms. Will genrush or bully as depip squads: 'It's in the game!'
Also Survivors when Killers run meta, pick certain Killers, or camp/tunnel/slug: 'Stop being toxic/angry!'
Just sayin'.
So you are saying that if you are bullied by a bigger person, you can bully a smaller person? And that smaller person cant be mad because the biggest guy bullied you in the first place?
-
I have to say that I don't agree with you on this..
IF the game is dying it is because of 2 things:
- The game being basically the same for 5 years -> older players get tired and play less
- The grind insanely huge -> newer players can't be arsed to even start
The game itself I feel is pretty balanced, or at least as balanced as it can get from where it started. The killers getting buffed are killers that needed buffs. There are still some killers that needs a buff/nerf or rework (Looking at you Spirit (nerf)). The only people that falls out of it are the SoloQ survivors.

You are not alone
Not even close buddy!
-
I really don't t hink Tinkerer is OP. It is a perk that goes well with other perk combos and complement some killer powers, but on it's own it is not OP.
Cleanse the Hex totems first, then it's not much to worry about.
I see the ruin + undying combo as another version of corrupt intervention. Whenever I see it, I go totemhunting first. Usually takes about 1-2 minutes to search the map for possible totem spawns. In other words, for me it is a slowdown perk combo for early game and gen rush.
This being said, for newer players and solo q (or even worse: the combo of new and solo), this is a pain in the butt and very powerful. Though, how do you balance this in DBD it is impossible.
-
How many times do you face 4 survivors with that one perk at the same time? Not much. It is new so people run it. It will most likely be off most builds in a month. Just like with Power Struggle. I remember people was really upset with it and calling it too powerful. Now I can’t remember the last time I saw someone use it.
Also, if they are equipping Flashbang that’s one less perk slot for DS, UB, BT, DH, IW. Perks killers hate.
My point is it is nothing to cry about. In most matches one survivor might be able to build 2 and use 1 effectively.
-
I can get behind this. His perks definitely need some sort of rework. Neither is too powerful but might be good along with other perks in a build.
Yes from me :)
-
They usually come naturally in game when I play them.. the ones I can think of is
Geometry Head - PH
Vommy Mommy - Plague
Piggy - Pig
Shot - slinger
Zappy - Doc
Bing Bong - Wraith
Gassy - Clown
Demo - Demogorgon
Pinball - Blight
-
Weird.
I haven't had a single DC in weeks.
Unlucky I guess.

curving with billy, nurse's muscle memory, blight just in general, where you can dash with pig, running with bubba's chainsaw around obstacles...
lots of things can be learned from a practice mode
Also map and map RNG.
I remember when I was new that I had a hard time learning the different maps. I used internett for drawings and viewed a lot of videos. Would be great to try to run through them a few times to know where the tiles are.
-
How about a boon totem that makes you gain endurance status effect? Might be too powerful. Endurance for 40 seconds?
Haste, increase repair speed or healing speed is kinda obvious.
I believe the boom totems will be a survivor perk that only applies to the person equipped with the perk.
-
The perk is fine. Annoying, but still fine. It’s a meme perk at best.
Remember that if a survivor is using the perk, it takes up a perk slot for other perks like DH, DS, UB, BT, IW, SC.
Not so bad now is it? :D

This thread has kinda diverted itself from the original point but I digress.
OP, I'd suggest taking a break, even if only for a day or two. It's so, so helpful when you feel yourself getting annoyed close to tears- I speak from experience.
In the meantime, allow me to divert your focus to something substantially more enjoyable than solo-q DBD:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/J5N26IX85NFX/donk11.png
A baby donkey cuddling a teddy bear.
This. And nothing more. Problem solved.
-
Billy still is one of the best killers regarding map control. The overheat makes sure that killers have to use their head using his saw, which is a good thing. Spamming his saw is not fun for anyone.
Almost every killer with such a good map pressure has cool-down on their ability, why shouldn't Billy? Nurse, spirit, Freddy, demogorgon just to name a few.
-
We have all been there, believe me. I also have a rant post from way back regarding this..
Once I got from rank 2 to 6 in a 2 day span. I try to take it easy on this game but sometimes it just gets to you. Most people playing this game a chilled people but you can get really unlucky as well facing these people who wants to make life miserable for you. Even worse facing them game after game. Both survivors and killers.
It can only get better from where you are right now :)
-
As a survivor main I think he is good, not overwhelmingly but good enough. He builds up his power during the trial which is fun. When his power is at the top he is very powerful. Learn to use his power and he is good at anti-loop and he breaks pallets faster than Bubba it seems. Plus his zombies makes indoor maps with hallways a nightmare.
I'm projecting him to be a B-tier killer from what I've seen so far.
-
Although I agree with a lot of your posts Clown, if I may call you that, I must say I disagree with you on this one. The grind is way too much in this game IMO. It should not take a player more than 1000 hours to "complete" the game.
I do believe that this grind is the very reason why some new players decide not to commit to this game, which is very unfortunate because we need new players coming into the player base to make the game stay alive for as long as possible. Most of my friends gave up after a few months.
I've been through one grind on PS4 and I am now on my second on PC (since December 2020). I am no hardcore gamer, but I spend about 15 hours a week and still I am not even close to getting my survivor builds ready, let alone Killer where I only have BBQ unlocked on Bubba. Starting to level up the other killers is of course my next thing to do, but OH MY GOD do I not look forward to it. It's now 24 killers and counting. That is an insane amount of bloodpoints needed, let alone playing time. The grind also steals a lot of the fun part of the game, having to constantly running WGLF and BBQ limits the builds.
This game is not made for competitive gaming. I know that it doesn't matter what survivor you play, everyone is the same. But, many buys this game to play as their favorite character. In the state of the game newer players will have to pick 1 survivor and stick to that survivor only to make builds. It gets boring, I need to change things up sometimes.
One solution could be dropping the 3 tiers of every perk, because that is really what makes this grind so bad - the amount of perks having to be unlocked. Every perk have to be unlocked 3 times for each character, and a fourth time for the teachable. Dropping to 2 tiers of each perk would help a lot actually. That and making each bloodweb smaller.
Would this be like giving the finger to older players that already has been through the grind? I don't think so. It's more of a helping hand to newer players wanting to be a part of this welcoming community :)
