Even still, Pig's stealth is also technically worse and more limiting. But that also isn't the point that is up for debate. Both are stealth killers, both rely on an element of surprise for their first hit. My points still stand.
Mine too, they cannot be destroyed. A stealth killer is the surprise, not + not - .🤗

Spine chill can also work against you. There’s been plenty of times when seeing it activate has caused me to move from my position only to have me stupidly walk right into him.
You would probably find it very, very difficult to run into him on an OPEN map.
That's why I'm happy with Freddy's new Map, the vegetation reminds me of Scream (the movie). That's how maps should be !
Spine chill would be easily bypassed with vegetation, trees, and the feeling of having a COVER!🤗

So, to play Devil's Advocate here, @MeltingPenguins is completely right. You don't get an indication of WHERE the killer is, only that they are looking at you. I have had a lot of situations where I have run into the killer because I didn't observe my surroundings and relied on Spine Chill.
As someone who also made it to Red Ranks with Spine Chill and Bond in their build, it also has one advantage to it that Premonition does NOT and with a cooldown, never will: You can't tell if the killer has ditched a chase and is coming for you instead.
I also play a fair bit of stealth killers, but using Spine Chill against Survivors to spook them off generators is also a skill in its own and something that shouldn't be underestimated. So, I use stealth on both sides, and commonly use Spine Chill. All I can say is that it helps less than you give it credit for, not to mention that there usually aren't THAT many teams that use Spine Chill, and even if there is one, other team members miss the call or don't notice something easily enough. Stealth killers need something to keep them in check, and that's from a Pig main!
Between Pig and GF there is a huge difference... GF has to wait for his power, Pig is at will...
I am not talking about GF's tick problems...

I'm in no way a good survivor, and I'm overly paranoid... but that ghostface is quickly spotted... only when they try to play him as a m1 killer who can crouch (in my experience, so, this is objective)
GF is the main reason I want to be able to smack killers with an empty toolbox, cause good gracious, my heart
Crouch is supposed to be his strong point... but no, it is on the contrary his weak point! They should not be able to spot him while crouch i think !
-
I confirm!
Not only do my generators finish within 5 minutes, but with the new perk of this IMMORTAL killer's totems my totems are blown up at the same time... and we still have the audacity to ask for "a nerve"?
I couldn't use the perk of the Hag for Mori, all my totems were exploded instantly......
What's going to happen now ? I camp, tunnel, basement, in short since all my killers are useless prepare to cry "the nerve of camping", no pity !🤗
-
And it starts NERF... Okay, Nerf Spine chill first !😀

@MeltingPenguins said:
Spine Chill does not tell you WHERE a killer is. Just like when people claim that certain killers have no counterplay when they mean they don't want to change their playstyle, spine chill is the same.
i'm not telling you to get good or anything, but it's a matter of observing.
while sure, some survivors do run when spine chill comes on, but mostly they wait (i'm no exception) till the heartbeat comes on. Like, SC comes on, quick look around -> no killer in sight, continue what you were doing. Killer in sight? run or shuffle away.
it comes down to observing before striking, which is the embodiment of stealth killers
As you say, all you have to do is wait for the killer to move. And as is often the case Ghostface is quickly spotted!
@Kjetrr said:
I can absolutely understand why stealth killers are upset about Spine Chill, but I would have a huge problem without it, since I have a hearing problem and don't always get the game's audio clues.
I honestly don't know how to solve it in a way that both sides would benefit from.
The logic of a stealth killer is "surprise", so not to expect it... Cooldown or reduce the meters. Or the perk only works when the killer is within a radius of 32 meters, like the perk of the "Whispers" killer, it would be less precise but we would be equal !
On the other hand, Premotion works very well, but once again there are two perks that work against surprise killers...

it don't let them know your coming it just lets them know your facing in the direction they are in. most cases survivors hear the heart beat before spine chill even triggers. the action speed increase isn't noticeable in vaults i mean if they run that with resilience then you might notice it but only if your really paying ultra close attention. and honestly i cant recall ever seeing a killer main streamer say oh hes using spine chill & resilience just on vault speeds alone. i mean 6% of two seconds isn't to noticeable.

I had Claudette before, with Spine chill level 3. I stopped Claudette for Meg, without this perk I'm unable to loop without getting hit... and yet I'm strong in loop!
Conclusion, this perk is strong.

I've already said it... Ghostface has leaden feet, Pig blows like a hurricane, Wraith growls like a rabid animal... and you can hear it from far away !

Just deal with it, it's not like it's going to be addressed anytime soon anyway.

With Ghostface I don't feel stealth with ranks 1.. they already know where I am before I even notice where they are? I wonder how we can call this killer a stealth killer ! If we look in the description "use all our perception and attention to know where he is".. and that finally it's enough to have Spine chill and wait for him to advance to know where he is, it's completely against the principle of a stealth killer... He is already easily spotted thanks to his lead feet... just like Wraith with his growl, just like Pig with his hurricane breath....
Why don't they notice all these inconveniences before we buy?😀

hardly gain time hitting survivors because the new meta is repair gens injured while ignoring danger because they are invulnerable with DS.
I've met this kind of survivors... they all ended up on the hook at the last generator !🤣
DS ? Decisive strike ?
I didn't have any problem on this level, because when they come to save or to get down I hit.
Yesterday I put down a looper, I camped him on the ground, they had 1 generator to finish... they came but they didn't know where to look for their friend. I thought to myself "why don't they come to take care of their friend anymore?" I understood that it was my addon that paralyzes the aura! I managed to get all three of them, they were very good survivors, red and purple ranks, flashlight, loops ...
Since I understood that Legion was the rush, I completely forgot that I sucked before ! Legion is the best
Yes, we need limit, 2 repairs and not 3 at the same time, we have to stop the rush gen ! A little tired of games that end in 5 minutes.😕
-
Before know Legion I was camp and tunnel, but now I survivor rush !😀
More you hit the survivors, more you win time, lot of time !

Power needs some heavy adjustment, but I can see it working.
Killer instinct Radius needs to drop from 40 meters to 8. serves as the werewolf's ability to track nearby survivors by 'scent'
8.0 is too fast, increase it to double movement speed instead. still faster than human speed, as wolves are.
lethal attacks in power feels over done, and doesn't synergize well with his perks that are about doing things to injured survivors. instead, reduce base attack cool down while in power by, say, 50%. That way they can injure one survivor then peel off to go after another one nearby, or dedicate to the one survivor and still get a fairly quick down if played well. I would not put the blindness status effect on the claws by default, make that an add on. if you want lethal claws, make that an add on but it also gets rid of the existing cool down reduction and imposes an additional cool down penalty on missed basic attacks.
Instant destruction of obstacles should not be part of this power.
Ability needs a timer for up time, and a timer for cool down. 60 second cool down that can be reduced with add ons, 20 seconds up time. Maybe have it charge from bloodlust stacks, get a stack of bloodlust, the ability has an immediate cool down reduction of 20 seconds.
rename Bloody Claw to the Lone Wolf, as it isolates survivors and plays into that wolf theming. I like this one, info perks on survivors are underrated and this would counter things like Bond, Empathy, Kindred, etc. For it to be effective though, I think instead what it should say is that injured survivors cannot see the auras of other survivors. Play on that idea that the injured person is alone, and perhaps infected with Lycanthropy. Still have it work on survivors who are within the terror radius, injured or healthy. Since it's an info denying perk I feel like there's more liberty in making it strong since denying info can simply be outplayed by a good Survive with Friends team.
I like the first perk, no suggested changes.
I think the name of the third perk should be changed, especially if we're going with Lone Wolf for the name of the second perk. "One with the Pack" again plays into that wolf theming and also refers to the fact that it lets you see a survivor who is saving a member of their 'pack'. The idea that as the wolf, you have an understanding of how packs think. those timers are absolutely rediciculous for a killer sided info perk though. Instead, make the timer 5 seconds and it imposes the broken condition on the rescuing survivor for 10/20/30 seconds. This works well with lone wolf, since it isolates the survivor and makes it easier to track them down.
"Instant destruction of obstacles should not be part of this power."
The problem is that his power may be more annoying than Legion's if he doesn't destroy the pallets instantly.. or he destroys the pallets faster like Gorgon..?
Thank you for your opinion. Sure we don't agree on everything, but i like your ideas there are ideas !🤗

Do you find it normal not to penalize a killer who is camping on the hook? good players try to improve their rank and are penalized by people who can’t play!
Are you camping ? -2 that's it.
You can't play without camping, you stay at rank 20! settle that instead of going out for paid outfits every week.
Do you find it normal to be tbag on every palet? Do you find it normal to have killers addicted to addons because the survivors need nerves all the time? To have perks combot (DS and other), Do you find it normal to have dozens of loops, huge maps, generators that end quickly?
No, I don't find it normal. So the solution is the camp (or the tunnel). It all depends on the team, if you finish 3 generators in 2 minutes, loop more 5 minutes, for me you can play very well !🤗
-
I started with Susie, I was scared at first because I lost a lot of games in the beginning with Legion. I just played a game and I admit that the failure lies in the fear of losing, I learned to counter the fear. Now I can lose but I can also win, Legion is very annoying because you have to stitch yourself up before you can heal, imagine how much time survivors lose... With the right anti gen and heal perks you have red rank survivors who find themselves overwhelmed.
You must cuter them with your power, as much as possible... never hit a survivor before being within reach, because of the surviving perks. And then he can also avoid it, you have to disturb him!
Ps: Sadistic butcher perk work with the power Legion ?

DS by itself is eh, usually you can either eat it early so that it's gone for the rest of the game, or you can leave them slugged. Now them being slugged brings in what I think makes DS so strong, Unbreakable. DS-Unbreakable is the one perk combo I dread going against, drop in Sprint Burst and if you're an ok survivor, you're tournament ready. Unbreakable is good, DS is good, them together is the bane of a good situation
I'm so fed up with this combot, more the loops...😕
Legion is good for that, because if he hits he catches up endurance.

Nowhere, I ask myself the question, because sometimes when I don't feel like fighting, I let the survivors do the generators... one kind action leaves room for another, they leave me the hoocks and break the generators while they repair, and I let them go. I make 25k and they make 30k so...

This isn't a knock against Demo or people who play him. But Demo always just seems so bland when in conversations.
Perks? Surge is niche and Cruel Limits sounds cool, but just doesn't do much. Mindbreaker exists, thats all i can say.
Power? Its okay, shred is a decent move and portals are alright, nothing too special.
Addons? Rat Liver is best, rest stink. Pls fix.
Hows about the other licences? Its Stanger Things. I love ST but it just isn't as mind blowing as characters like Michael,Freddy,Pig,Bubba, or even Pyramid Head to a certain extent.
Whats its personality? Vicious Animal, thats pretty much it.
They just seem so underwhelming to me. Am I alone in this?
That's when I say "how do I get reimbursed?"...🤗
It is original but its portals are quickly destroyed, its secondary power is easily countered, but it works well on pallets. Its cooling of the gates is awful, and the limit of traps is the same!
The perks... Surge, is pretty good when you couple with Surveillance (perk pig), but 32 meters is not great ! Mindbreak LOL.... And the other one is only good in closed places like the lab !
Clearly it needs a rework.
-
So, basically, you want to break the only interest of the Spirit (Spirit we don't talk about physics, the grass should not move logically, it's a surprise killer..)... Ok I didn't say anything
All stealth killers are ruined because of Spine chill. All normal killers have to compete with countless loops ...
So we want to make him move the grass ? So that the survivor has time to change sides of the palett (click click click), or move around as with the nurse... OK good
So why not limit the number of pallet jumps, like for the window? Yes you know when the survivor knows that the killer doesn't want to waste time breaking the palette at the risk of having to go from one loop to the other, so it takes a long time...
Oky, exactly like in Resident evil resistance, survivors will become OP in SWF mode (they already are, lol) !🤗
-
Killers nerfs + Infinite loop + Keys + Flashlight + boddyblock + Tbag = camp, tunneling..
You want penalize the camp and tunnel ? You want play without killer continue !🤣
-
Why don't we give the survivors the possibility to destroy the totems from the beginning, it's the same!🤗

Oh that’s easy besides the points I made above the reason they want one for spirit, deathslinger, and pyramid head is they play differently to most killers so you can’t circle loop them you have to be smarter and a lot don’t like that because they think all killers need the same counterplay and won’t accept the fact that’s not true these killers that shake up the meta are exactly what we need to make the game not stale and boring
They're never happy for all killers anyway.😀

If you didn't notice, the two best killers (Spirit and Nurse) have lowered speed. Why? Because they have other things going for them, it's not a penalization.
Even though the power lasts 5 seconds, you still can traverse a huge distance using it very quickly.
Neither Spine chill NOR Iron will will help you if the spirit has stridor. It's a guessing game where the spirit has 90% of winning. The only thing you need is a perk and an okay headset. And bam, easy 4K every time.
It's nurse that requires skill and talent. Not spirit.
When you ask for the nerve, knowing that speed is less efficient for me it is a penalty (I'm talking about the future, not the present). If you don't have a nerve, it's not a penalty. I'm still waiting to find out why people wanted to nerve the Spirit ?
-
@RizeAki said:
I don’t think you truly understand the problem a good spirit won’t use the whole gauge you use 2 seconds of it to gain distance and within 2 seconds more it’s back again also I’m pretty sure it’s well known you can’t out loop or gain distance against her and this coming from someone who plays her quite a lot I’ve even leveled her to max
Anyone reliable will agree the only real changes she needs isn’t a nerf but a qol change give her an audio and visual que within terror radius of when she goes into phase so players do still have to guess just up to a point if that makes sense Oh and fix her bugged add ons that can add a lot more strength to her
I dont want a nerf, i want an explication why most players want a nerf..🤔
I have just understood that Spine chill can become an advantage for the killer... by using Spine chill during the power phase, looking at the survivor while moving towards him from the back, as if he thought we hadn't moved, as if we had never moved... interesting

If they having mices, 1 survivor followes the killer anyways and tells everyone where the trap lays.
If that is the case, you should stop using them and instead just m1 everybody. Trapper is one of the killer who suffers most under survivor teams with mics.
If they have no mics, it is fun to play him, because of the traps^^.
That's the biggest problem in this kind of game, the microphones! It's cheating, because it's always 1 vs 4 and that makes some power completely knocked out.🤣

Not really. The most important Add Ons are Bags, and there is a brown Bag. You can play Trapper with cheap Add Ons like the brown Bag and the brown Setting Speed and those change A LOT. Because Trapper is the prime example of Add On dependant.
Personally, I almost always use Tar Bottles and a Bag, and it also works against SWFs. But surely not on a consistent basis.
For Trapper, you should watch TheEntityLeftHand, amazing Trapper Main on Twitch (and enjoyable to watch).
Yes but it costs 3000 pts, and they don't always appear, despite "common". Depending on addons is not my thing, I need BP for other killers.
But thanks I'll look at it !🤗
@GentlemanFridge said:
Unless they are actively chasing you or have Object, there's no way they can see you at all times.
The standard advice would be to place traps in unexpected places. Or place some in very obvious places to give the survivor a false sense of security and have them run into a trap around a corner. Either way, Trapper is not entirely useless. Add-on dependent, sure, but useless? No.
No it's true you right... for example at the hut it can become very dangerous for everyone, even for him. With three traps around the house or the entrance it becomes almost impossible to save someone, I have experienced this several times against red ranks. But playing normally it's not possible for me...

Just always run Trapper Sack/Trapper Bag/Stitched Bag and Logwood Dye/Tar Bottle, A Faint/Hazy/Murky Reagent, and Whispers.
And then hope they didn't put Object Of Obsession on to invalidate all of that because they just get to know where you placed every single trap.
Lol yes, i agree. But you have to buy his addons precisely, and most of them are "uncommon" or "rare", which means that if you don't have any more of them you become useless again.. hello BP 🤑

Me: So why you take dbd too serious why Karen it sad that there a lot of karens like you in this community and if you don't believe me find it your self.
Honest it sad that this community is making survivors becoming a karens and make killers not do their job and admit that they made mistakes but all they do is disrespect killers when they lose.
When you know how to play you let the survivors out. You are not a killer, you are a human being, with senses and a heart!
Of course in the game you have the role of a killer, and the BP is also important, so you have to kill the survivors... It all depends on how I feel about the situation, if it hurts me (it happens to me a lot), I let it go.
If you have already unblocked everything, if you don't give at least one chance... you are worse than those who insult you !
I'm saying this in a general way, I'm not aiming at anyone, but it's true that sometimes too many killers give me the feeling that they don't have any feelings.

Freddy is strong (with addons and perks) to stop the progression of the generators.
Demogorgon is weak, and yes ! The portal is good but it's easily destructible, and it can ruin the game with the SWF team. There are limits, it's not like Freddy or the Hag where you pose the trap to infinity.
Ghostface.. "spine chill" is going to lead you the very hard game, forget it (lol) !
Pyramid yes, but it remains that the perks, the power in itself there are so many survivors who can master it now...

Hi.
I'm relatively new to dead by daylight. I have about 56 hours in at the time of this post. I'm currently Rank 10 with killers. I recently bought the SAW DLC because I liked the concept of the Pig. I've got her up to about level 25 now and I can safely say she is the least effective killer that I own. Her stealth is useful. Her ambush has its moments, but that's about it.
Jigsaw's Baptism doesn't seem to generate much pressure on survivors. The timer only starts when a Gen is finished, but this doesn't seem to deter survivors in the slightest. The timer only runs when the survivor is safe (as one can be in this game.) Not on hooks. Not on dying state. Not in chase. Not much of a hurdle. Two minutes and thirty seconds? Seems like a lot to me in a game where matches rarely last twenty minutes.
Surveillance IS a good perk but her other two are quite inferior compared to other options. Make your choice is circumstantial and Hangman's Trick is just objectively bad.
Let's talk about add-ons. She has some for ambush and some for reverse bear traps. The add-ons for the traps don't seem to make much of a difference in any practical way I can discern. They certainly aren't more lethal. In fact, as I'm writing this I realize I've never seen one these traps kill a survivor.
I'm sure there is a combination of perks that can be learned from other killers that can make the Pig good (Hex: Ruin with Surveillance stands out in my mind) but the right combination of perks can make just about anything work. I think the Pig, or any killer for that matter, should be able to stand on her own perks (and general perks) and add-ons alone. I don't think she does. In other words, a new DBD player who picks up the Pig DLC and plays them as their first killer is going to have a frustrating time.
I think this should be of some concern for the developers if their wish is to attract new players. The game quite often seems balanced specifically long time players; those tier 1-5 players with all the goodies. Newer players with fewer options and tools are out of luck. The potential for a rank 1 to make a cheese build shouldn't be the balancing standard.
I really want to like this character but right now I have major buyers remorse. I'll probably level her to the point I can teach Surveillance to other characters and than drop her altogether, which really bums me out.
I don't want to be the guy who complains but doesn't offer any ideas to fix the problem, so here we go:
1) Have timers start the second the trap is put on. It's not like it is keeping survivors from finishing Gens anyway.
2) Don't pause the timer.
3) Reduce the time by a lot.
I'm sure given enough time I could come up with more or better ideas, but I've been writing this long enough. If you read this all the way to the end I thank you for your time. Please share your thoughts.
Stealth killers (I also think about Ghostface) became useless because of Spine chill... walking in moonwalk is also taking the risk to miss the survivors (no sense) ! I don't understand how stealth killers can be spotted by a perk and warn the survivors 36 (36) meters in advance ! I'm not talking about Amanda's breath in stealth mode, and Ghostface's footsteps... for discreet killers it's really FUN !
Amanda is probably the second useless stealth killer in the game (with Spectre).
Her trap is ridiculous, because usually all you need one puzzle box to remove her... I think her helmet is only good for the tunnel, or maybe to slow down the game but with SWF I doubt it works... moreover it doesn't activate at the end of the game, and I find it ***.
For the rest, his ambush is quite fun but not easy to use. Addons really need a rework (like Amanda, like all stealth killers) !
Ps: Myers is the only stealth killer capable of the best, even if he doesn't have the undetectable status in P2, he's still powerful with the Doctor's perk.

Try dehoock with Myers, you can (if you can), but I will rehoock !🤣
I learned one thing today this kind of team is afraid of Myers.. especially with anti gen perks, and addons (i love the instant kill) ! I also learned too, they can't do anything without the 4 survivors ! And that's magical, because Myers will never be able to be nerf now !

SWF (or SWAT) survivors = Tunnel
Survivors = killed
