Lag ?

Well I have used this in the past. I used bond or a skeleton key with Gold Token and Prayer Beads. Def. a douche move.
-
DS, Iron Will, Self-Care, Lithe/Dead Hard/any other decent exhaustion perk.
-
2 hours 9 minutes.
-
Ability is too over powered.
Like the first perk, not sure about the second and like the 3rd perk too except divide the times by 2. ( i.e 5/10/15 )

Not sure if he will get the buff at the release but if thing's don't work out well then I am sure he will get buffed in the future.

Some hairstyle concept I’d like to see in game for Kate Denson. Like, can we start getting cute and longer hairstyles for the female survivors (especially Kate Denson who’s been struggling with questionable hairstyles and cosmetics in general since day one) and finally get rid of the old and tired side cut? I think they should get more out of their boxes and give us something fresh and new? I really love what they did with Feng’s latest hairstyle cosmetic for example, that’s what I’m talking about, it’s innovative.

I was just thinking about those new perks and in particular Hex: Undying and the lesser used Hexes. Normally I wouldn’t run Lullaby, but mixed with Undying, it might be more viable.
My question to the survivor side of the community is, does Lullaby ever hinder you? An if so, how many tokens before you feel any pressure. Does only 5 tokens (no sound) get you?
I play as a red rank killer and I’m afraid this might be one of those perks that the average red rank survivor might not even acknowledge because they are just skilled enough to play regardless.
Yes it has hindered my gameplay when its has 5 tokens because I am more attentive to the environment just to know where the killer or other survivors are most of the times. My reaction time is 203ms so its hard for me to hit these no sound skill checks and most of the time I miss them because I panic ( unless its in the 65-100% range of the skill check circle thingy, any no sound skill check before that gets me ).
-
Totally not in favour. When you get a sweaty SWF team NOED can be very helpful. In fact I was using NOED yesterday against a sweaty SWF gen rushers and toxic teabaggers. It really helped me get 2 kills ( last hooks not first because I am not that bad ) and the other 2 got lucky cause there were no hooks near the exit gates.
Just do the totems when you see one even if it isn't hex.

The amount of times I've been killer and I've been chasing a survivor. They come across a locker and immediately jump in, I end up hitting the locker accidently which is a good way to avoid a hit, but then they either:
- Get grabbed whilst climbing out the locker
- They stay in the locker and I grab them out
- They keep jumping in and out and eventually get grabbed/hit
- Get hit whilst climbing out the locker
Either way the survivor is going to get hit or grabbed, so why do people do it?
If you do it, can you explain why you do it?
Risking being grabbed by going in a locker at full-health state is dumb.
If you are injured however, sometimes you can avoid getting hit by going in a locker, and jump in and out to make you miss and waste your time. If they have been hooked recently and they have DS then it's clear why they go in locker ( to force you to grab them so they can escape hitting the DS skill check ).

I was playing Hag on Primary School. Hooked a Laurie , placed about 3 traps in choke points to defend the hook then i went off to do other hag things. 5 seconds or so later, Laurie got unhooked and 5 more seconds later she tripped one of my traps. I immediately TP-ed, slapped her and picked her up but was DS-ed.
End game chat, they called me a camping tunneler that forced them to use DS.
Was i a camping tunneler in that situation?
So i stayed a bit after the hook to place traps in the area but i didn't face camp. And after i placed them i moved on.
No that's not tunneling. She triggered the trap, you tped and downed her and picked her up. You weren't intentionally targeting her.

I don't know how can you consider unfair for killer to punish survivor focusing more on gens insted of their own survival by evading the killer insted of hoping for killer's generosity to not kill them and go for someone else. Killing someone off asap is the fastest way to win as killer just as is doing the closes gen fastest way to win for survivor. Survivors switching killer's agro is bad for killer if killer knows he can win faster by removing someone he alredy hooked, DS allows you to force your objectives while punishes killer for forcing his. If it was changed to disable after for example working on a gen you wouldn't be able to force objective and also be completely safe from killer attempting to stop you.
New players don't have DS since it's licensed DLC perk, they won't get it for first few hundred hours unless they willing to make more commitement with $$$ to a game they don't even know if they like.
Well if people are so worried that it's an invincibility perk then why don't they just down them and slug them till their DS is over. It's a win-win for the killer. The person goes down so he can't do anything and someone has to pick him up so only 2 survivors that will be working on objectives and if its a solo group then it's a party for the killer cause then no one knows if anyone is going to pick them up or not.
New players do have DS. Not all of them but a lot of them because it's such a famous perk. It gives them another shot at running the killer around or trying to evade him. Many people buy new DLCs just for the perk, that's all there is to a survivor.

Then go work on a different gen ? If you have time to heal/work on gens rushing the game for killer then don't be suprised if killer rushes to kill you. If your priority is to be safe and not get tunneled you're free to now work on a gen and go somewhere else, maybe find a comfortable locker to hide until killer finds new prey.
What do you mean rushes to kill you ? Fam you just hooked me, and there is another guy right beside me who's even trying to take a hit for me but you still going for me like what the actual * cough * If that isn't tunneling then I don't know what is. Hide in a locker, stay away from objectives ?
What I talked about is a good scenario where the killer isn't camping, I haven't even mentioned about the killer camping you and tunneling you. It just kills the fun. Why would someone pay money just to get camped and tunneled ? Don't think about me or anyone else who has been playing this game for some time. Think about the new player base, DS can be very helpful for them.

What about the changes that suggest to make DS disable itself if you preform for example unhooking or working on a gen ? I think those are pretty reasonable.
Imagine you have been hooked, the killer is not close to you and your buddy saves you. Now -
Case 1 - You both start working on a gen not caring about heals. The killer comes back, your buddy distracts him from you to help you escape but the killer just doesn't give a darn. He goes straight for you to kill you again and secure that 1K at least.
Case 2 - Your buddy heals you. Now again you both start working on a generator. The killer comes to you guys and even though he could have hit your buddy easily but instead decides to chase you and kill you ( again to secure that 1K )
I stg I'd be pissed if they changed it so that DS deactivates on touching a gen or any other actions and this happened to me.

The solution is that don't tunnel the generator? go repair another one
Why on earth would you work on another generator from 0 to 100% if you already have one at 90% ?

That's how you learn. You will never reach very far if you don't shoot for the star lmao. Playing against yellow and green ranks will not improve you. Well it will but very slowly. The best way to learn is to observe what the best players do. Trust me this sheet actually works, for real. It can be very frustrating and painful but you will get there, eventually.

Part of this post existing is because I just had a game where 3 DS users on ormond were able to buy enough time for only 1 guy to get 3 gens done and as it goes on ormond at that point there is no chance for a come back. But the problem I found with DS in this game in particular that I never had in any other game is that the DS started to overlap with one another so 2 people (maybe 3) could have DS at once. Since tunneling is focusing one person why is it that DS can be on 2 people? My proposed change will hopefully sound fair to both sides and make DS more of an anti tunneling perk and less of a 60 second invulnerability perk.
make DS last 30 seconds after being unhooked and pause the timer when a chase starts within the 30 seconds so you could theoretically have DS the whole game if you’re being tunneled the whole game.
ds will deactivate when you start repairing a gen for 3 seconds in the 30 second timer because you are choosing to continue to progress the game, with the 3 second repairs you can tap gens in chase to stop regression.
I know the fact of the devs noticing this is rare but I wanna hear from multiple perspectives, survivor, killer, maybe people who play both.
side note: sorry if I accidentally come off as that one killer main who’s mad about every survivor perk in existence.
Honestly it's not hard to chase a survivor for 30 seconds with your back facing them. You know how killers look away from the obsession to gain play with your food tokens right ? They can do this to chase a survivor for 30 seconds and the game won't even realize it.
Now for the 3 second gen repair thingy. What if the killer actually mindgames you into thinking he left you even though he knows exactly where you are ( talking about mikey, ghost face or piggy and others ), the gen you were working on is 90% and you start working on the gen to pop that adrenaline and BOOM the killer downs you after waiting for 5 seconds just like how some killers wait for BT to be over when chasing someone.

It's high time that it is removed. Completely. If someone really wants to talk to someone they can add each other on Steam or X-Box post game. I'm not saying be rid of pre-game chat, only post game.
The toggle isn't enough. There are too many people who get way too thrilled by just throwing their insults in there regardless if the the other parties can see it and it just encourages toxic behavior. It's just bad, needs be gone. 4 years of playing this game and I can promise you some of the worst exchanges on games that I have ever seen are in DBD post game chat. It makes monsters. Do it. Kill it with fire.
PS: Thats an idea, we need a fire killer. One that burns survivors. Sets them on fire. Run to water or become broken, stay on fire go into dying state. blah blah blah
Well I have been playing this game for a long time too and I can assure you there are different types of reactions in the end game chat. If you see anything that's offensive and toxic in the chat then you should take a screenshot, in game report and report them through a ticket. Game rule suggest they can get a perma ban for threats and temporary ban for harassments, insults, intimidation or hateful speech.
Not everyone in this community is a d-head. I have faced many survivors and killers who respect each other, say gg wp, don't trash talk and even compliment someone if they deserve it or you can simply ignore and move on like nothing happened. Make you choice ( pun intended xD )

yes I agree @ShrekTheThird69 I also think that with the changes they've actually got a bit more of their own identity now, Bubba was always Billy's weaker cousin (viewed as at least) but now, I think it's his time to shine in his own right. The Add-On changes to both are also pretty great and I'm really looking forward to people's reactions to them.
Hey Mandy don't you think having the PTB go live at the same time as the anniversary event is going on in the live version of the game will affect the reports ?
-
That is a very very very good point. This mid chapter brings changes to hitboxes and they do need as many players as they can get to try out the PTB. Because of the event many people are going to stay on the live version of the game which means the PTB report is not going to make the changes as accurate as it could be.

How long do you guys think DBD will be supported and receiving new content? And also do you think it will be coming to the next gen consoles? It seems more alive than ever right now so I'd say it's only maybe half way through its life cycle if I had to make a prediction
As long as the dev's know what they are doing and what should be done. Introducing new killers to the game lures their fanbase to play the game. Yes I think that DBD will come for next-gen consoles.

Wait wait wait hold up. So you're telling me that if I damage a generator as a killer and no one touches it, then it keeps on regressing ? :O
-
Yeah you are playing too nice. Just go HAM! with everything you have, if they actually respect your skill they'll not trash talk in the end game chat. However if they are trash talking because you annihilated them or failed at getting any kills then ignore their comments and move on. Do whatever you feel makes YOU happy. YOU paid for the game, YOU are spending your precious time against these trash talkers, YOU are the champion.
Looks like it turned out into a motivational comment lmao. Well anyways good luck.

Let's be real, Gen Tapping is one of the stupidest things in the game right now. The fact that Killer's need to spend about 2 seconds or so to cause a generator to regress (if not running ruin), but survivors only need to touch the thing for a fraction of a second to stop this regression is incredibly unbalanced. I had a match just today where I was chasing a survivor, and in the middle of this chase they tapped a gen so fast that it looked like they hadn't even stopped moving. If killers need to invest a few seconds of their time to cause gens to regress, survivors should have to spend a comparable amount of time to stop this regression. I think in order for a generator's progress to stop regressing, survivors should have to spend about two seconds or so repairing the generator.
What do you mean "survivors only need to touch the thing for a friction to stop this regression" ? What regression are we talking about here that can be stopped b gen-tapping ?

That is a good point, maybe only a slight extension on the timer while on the ground, or heck maybe even just let it tick because if the killer is tunneling they wouldn't leave them on the ground to pick up later.
Another idea I herd is the perk instantly deactivates if interacting with anything like a gen, healing, unhooking, or stuff like that. Because if you have time to do that you aren't being tunneled.
Nope, what if you have adrenaline and your teammate saves your ass and you run to the 99% gen to pop it so you can get out. Imagine if your whole team is being slugged, you 4% off the hook to heal your teammates. Imagine if the killer slugged everyone and now all your teammate are hooked and you 4% off the hook and run to save your teammates.

If you can't survive for more than 1 minute, all the way from Healthy State, with pallets around you, an exhaustion perk and you have DS ontop of that... I'm sorry to tell you, but you are Boosted (not reffering to you, but in general)
As for basement... This is why we run BT, I prioritize my teammates more than anything else. Camping & Tunneling are a reality of the game and in that case you gen rush. I would wish BHVR would let players know of this in the loading screen, the way DBD Mobile Devs do.... However if there's no way around it... I guess DS could detect if you're in the basement and stay active if you unhook, because even if you go down, you're still in the basement and that's still pressure for the killer.
You've made Billy, Bubba, Oni, Trapper, Mikey, Ird. Head Huntress, RPF Clown, Ghost Face sad :(

@Zagrid said:
I agree with the fact that DS should discourage tunneling as it is an anti tunnel perk.
And before anyone quotes the guy who said otherwise, he was talking about old DS with no requirement of getting hooked.
The reason DS shouldn't work in lockers is simply that it doesn't have effective couterplay, yes you should leave them alone, but by leaving them alone you are letting them go off and do whatever and they is physically nothing you can do yo stop them other than eating the DS and chasing. You can try to bait them to leave but a smart survivor would know that they don't need to leave since if the killer doesn't want to eat the DS they basically have invincibility for the next 60 seconds.
And that's the problem also the problem that eating DS wouldn't be as bad if the time wasn't still set so high because of enduring. They made it 5 seconds because enduring used to cut it in half. So if it was any lower enduring basicallu fully countered it, but now that enduring doesn't effect the stun it has no reason to be that high.
The easiest change to the perk would be to make it a true anti tunnel perk. The best idea I saw was to have the timer be reduced to 30 maybe even 15 seconds, but have the timer pause in chase and while on the ground. If you are being tunneled you obviously get into chase so it would truly counter tunneling. And it would do it even better because if you run the killer for 3 min and get downed they still get the DS because they tunneled.
But that is just my opinion, a DbD opinion.
I don't agree with this idea, based on how killer's can lose chase if they look away from the survivors for sometime. Just like with play with your food, killers can chase your blood trails and scratch marks without even looking towards you and not being in a chase. This is a big disadvantage and not helpful at all if the timer is set to 15/30 seconds. However if the timer is set to 60 second, then it can make it hard for the killer to do this look away tech. and also get rid of the locker ds tech.
-
I know right it sucks. Bruh crown looks so bad on the spirit, her hair covers most of it lmao.

A small price to punish those who DC. If developers removed the DC penalty because of internet issues or disconnection cause of poor connection then everyone would abuse it. I know exactly how you feel cause I have a ######### internet too, in fact I am using my mobile hotspot to play on PC lol. Imagine if the devs removed the penalty because of internet issues, I could just turn off my hotspot off and on and BAM! I am back in game without any issues.
Maybe they will do something in the future to actually prevent this but not anytime soon.

It somewhat resembles the new in-game object that's coming in the 4th Anniversary Event. Check out Paulie Esther's video about a week ago, maybe you will recognize it.

You can submit a ticket and also report them in-game. It's gonna be a temporary ban but hey if they don't learn from their mistake then it will eventually lead to a permanent ban.
GRIEFING: INTENTIONAL GAMEPLAY ABUSE
- Working with the opposite team to gain an advantage or grief teammates
- Targeting specific users repeatedly in order to ruin their game experience
- Holding the game hostage
- In-game report REQUIRED / Customer Support ticket OPTIONAL

Yes in-game reports are reviewed but it takes very long. Submitting a ticket can increase the chances of a person being punished. Not sure if it works now, but contacting DBD mods directly through steam used to be the fastest way of getting a report solved quickly ( from experience I have reported 5-6 players for achievement hacking and using BP cheats and getting them banned within a week back in 17-18, I know it's been years xD ). Yes you are right solving ticket takes a lot of time. I submitted a ticket and it took 25 days for them to respond back to me. Jeeeeez.

prestige you get cosmetics, also trophys for ps4, achievements for pc, xbox, nothing really major though. Killer's can see what prestige you are as a survivor in the game lobby.

After over three years and 2.3k+ hours, I have never felt more 'meh' about loading up and playing DbD. The amount of bugs that are introduced or never fixed, the player voices that go unheard or unaddressed about severe balance or gameplay issues, the list goes on...
I know it's a different set of developers, but the below screenshot just about sums it up for me. Rather than doing something about the boring and hostage-esque face-camping of the game (which exists on all platforms), the mobile devs take the time to make this loading screen 'tip' - which gives credence to the gameplay style and basically says to let your teammate die. Don't be altruistic, don't give that player another chance inthe trial... let the killer set up a tent and get a free kill. Such a boring situation with little or no counterplay, when Borrowed Time doesn't trigger on half your killers now or Bubba/ranged/small heartbeat killers.
Please make your game a more enjoyable and fair experience for all players.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/15JIB0M777NO/dbd-mobile-camping-prompt.jpg
Boy lemme tell you something face-camping is always going to be a part of the game. The best thing you can do as the victim is buy your team some time.
FPS games have been out for 2 decades and camping is still an issue. What do you expect from a game that's only been out for 4 years ?
-
It was great. The Dedicated Servers drastically improved my ping from 280s to 130s and the best part is that it was consistent so I never had to leave a lobby and find a new one. Matchmaking was way faster than before, I didn't feel anything wrong with hits ( maybe because I am used to bad hits at red ping ) and everything was great.
-
Yeah its probably because DBD is still in progress and the dedicated servers are not out yet on the live version. Which is why the killer is the host of the servers that you join. Also if the distance between you and the host increases then the ping also increases.
All the games that you mentioned have servers which connect everyone to an equal connection. But don't worry they are going to bring the dedicated servers in the next update which is going to fix lots of ping issues for many players.
