Ehhhh gonna have to agree with OP on this one- M&A on Deathslinger is too strong. His TR needs to be widened since he has a long range game. I imagine this is why you can hear Huntress hum from afar so she just doesn't start sniping players outside her terror radius.

I agree, it's personalised music makes it very difficult to tell if he is near, and MA makes it even stronger. He needs to be changed, his music needs to be clear when he is around, he is not a stealth killer, it does not make any sense

With all the buffs recently I see a lot of doctors and I’m really starting to get annoyed with him. I feel like the only counter play is trying to preflip pallets or dodging shocks which is getting hard because he has crazy range add ons now. Overall I kinda just don’t have fun playing against doctors anymore

Yes Doctor needs a complete rework, he is the most annoying killer, he needs either a rework or severe nerfs

Finally, someone gets it. The only possible reason I can think of adding Deep Wound is a lazy attempt at giving a 110 Killer with no mobility some extra pressure, but it so clearly doesn't work well with him. If he's too good to be 115, just make him 112.5% or something, or tweak his power to make giving him 115 speed justifiable.

I'm fairly sure the devs simply had no idea of what to do with him and they added a worthless extra mechanism to slow the game down, but that is an epic failure

I seriously dont get it, whats the problem of him applying deep wounds? Why does it contradict his power? What I get from your post is that his power cant apply deep wounds fast, therefore, its pointless, but the way I see it, deep wounds helps stall the game even if just by a bit, I dont think its detrimental in any way, shape or form.

It's not detrimental, but it has bad synergy, the usual poor understanding of the devs.

As a slinger you mostly 1v1 survivors, so 90% of the time I'll hit you and continue to chase to down you so the time wasting effect of dw is essentially lost.

In few cases you'll abandon chase and it may help a bit but it's a lazy design for a 1v1 killer

  • I'd easily say close to 30% survivors are female, in ps4 eu.

If I count just my group of friends I have 13 female friends who play dbd, mostly survivor

I've played twelve matches today, four yesterday, and not once have I been able to get into the new map. Just corn field after corn field after junk yard. The new map offerings haven't been appearing on my bloodweb at all. I've seen a lot of Zarina players, though.

I'm experiencing the same, it might be a bug. 28 games np new map 500k BP no map offering on my main account.

On my sister account 100k BP and 3 map offerings.

It may well be a bug @Peanits can you look into this? It's like the update didbt fully go through

There's also another one that will randomly make her fatigue last longer then it should

Another one that makes her instantly attack after blinking.

    Yet no response...

It's unbelievable, nurse was trashed and left for dead.

Worst rework I have ever seen

@Peanits are you guys gonna do something about all the nurse bugs we are flagging?

  • @SunderMun said:

The instant dedicated servers begin functioning correctly, The Nurse will too, since her bugs are directly related to that.

Now if they could fix them rather than shoving them down our throats, that would be nice...

Nurse gets a double stun each time she is pallet stunned after a blink, that had nothing to do with ds.

Nurse has places where she can't blink for no reasons, she has places where the blink charge is not consistent. Ie an object 4 meters wide requiring a 10 meters charge just to go through it.

Nurse has broken verticality, even when aiming correctly.

Nurse has a sound bug where her screech goes so loud, for no reason, that makes you remove your headset.

That on top of the servers, where sometimes she can't strike for 0.5 seconds after a blink, for some reasons.

She is in a terrible spot

Just played a doctor with Distressing, Unerving Presence, Overcharge, and Pop Goes The Weasel. He used "Calm" and "Obedience" as add-ons.

You spend 90% of the game pulling yourself out of madness and trying to heal while skill checks are appearing randomly, shaking, and going backwards half the time.

On top of that the perks make the possibility of hitting a skill check extremely difficult.

No other killer causes so much difficulty throughout the match (which is based on skill checks!).

Add to that that he can now stop you from vaulting and see where you are half of the game.

It's unreasonable, skewed, and above all not fun. On top of that the sound effects are extremely annoying. Any child could 4k with the doctor now..

I agree, doctor needs to go.

He is worse than before, truly despicable killer.

Remove him or nerf him into the ground please

  • @Zaitsev said:

Just name one thing you truly dislike about this game and if it gets any worse you will drop this game for good

For me it's damn waiting times to get into a game.

There is no game, other then DbD, where I had to wait such a long time on a constant base to find a new game to join. I'm seriously on the tipping point to drop this game for good.

Because at equal level of skill killers are too weak. I moved to survivor but only because my friends asked. I would have quit after the nurse mega nerf

  • I don't think they can fix the problem.

Quite simply playing killer had been made so awful that the number of killers, mostly high rank killers have dropped considerably.

The only way out would be to make the killer role fun and rewarding.

To do so they would need a massive rework of several aspects of the game :

    - map size

    - loops strength

    - removal/reduction of cooldowns

    - nerfing meta perks and don't allow certain combo like ds unbreakable, noed blood warden etc

    - remove moris and keys

    - promote player's interactions, like chases and jukes and make them prominent without costing the killer an entire match.

This would fix matchmaking, but I won't be on this massive action plan

I posted the same video, I strongly hope the devs will reconsider. This has the potential to end up in a bloodbath for killers

I uninstalled the game after having doctor 3 times in a row, absolutely appalling. Much worse than he was.

  • @SirFloofington said:

As the title states the new add-on changes that will be pushed out next patch will make playing survivor a lot more frustrating out of game and in-game. The issue I see with the add-on change is a lack of BP buff for survivors and bloodweb changes.

At the moment survivors average about 20-21k BP for escaping a a match, while a killer will average 20k minimum for a bad match, a good match will get them 30k. Without including BBQ ( everyone runs it so it's 40-60k a match) killers earn about 1/3rd more BP (Without BBQ) than survivors which up until now as been fair as killer don't keep their add-ons and have to replenish them quicker. Now though survivors are put in an even worse situation as instead of having to focus solely on add-ons and offerings, survivors have to split BP between add-ons,offerings and Items while making less BP than a killer. This issue will affect newer players the most as they don't have a hoard of items to throw away but will affect all survivors as good add-ons will become scarce quickly.

The bloodweb at the moment for survivors is extremely random when it comes to getting the add-on you want. It's extremely hard to hoard the best add-ons as they aren't found in the bloodweb enough, gel dressing is easier to find in-game than on the bloodweb (requires a loot build). Coupled with the fact that the survivor bloodweb has items, good add-ons will be extremely rare when compared to good killer add-ons (Only offerings and add-ons appear).

There is something to also be said about the inherent value of add-ons when comparing killer add-ons vs Survivors. Without talking about the quality of killer add-ons when compared to survivor add-ons, how killer add-ons are used when compared to survivor add-ons is important. Killers use better add-ons when they feel they need to as they can see what survivors are bringing, their names, and if they're a SWF, they can effectively use their stronger add-ons. On the other hand survivors have no idea who they're going to play against, making their add-ons and items worth less before the game even starts. An example would be the medkit against a Plague,Billy,Bubba or Tru3 GhostFace (Sloppy+Nurses). The medkit will get very little value or no value (in plagues case) against these killers on average as they will usually take away 2 health states or rely on nurses to catch you healing (Ghostface). Now with the new add-on change these add-ons that were useless or almost useless are now gone without providing much in-game value.

TLDR: New upcoming item changes are awful for survivors if survivors don't get a BP buff and the bloodweb isn't changed to include more add-ons as they are now temporary.

Solution: Increase survivor BP to match that of a killers on a average game and the Bloodweb offers less offerings and better quality of add-ons and quantity.

PS: Devs pls give Demo better add-ons, he's really only got mews guts and rat liver to live on.

You probably play low ranks because with the current meta BP at high ranks, are a problem for everyone.

When gens are rushed you may get 15-17 k if the survivors escape and you may get a similar score for a killer even with 2 or 2 kills.

BP scores need to be boosted across the whole spectrum killers and survivors

or at least lower the dc punishment timer, it's too high at the moment.

    i suggest: 1st dc: 1 min

    2nd: 2 min

    3rd: 3 min etc.

  • @CosmicParagon said:

The current system is incredibly unfair with how long the penalty increases last and punishes people for crashing WAY too much. The old system where the cooldown decreases with full games played should be re-implemented, as it actually gives incentive to stay in the match. The current layout just makes it so that in extreme cases, people just play one match per day because the cooldown is prohibitively long.

Just don't dc, for any reason.

The time of free dcs is gone forever, make peace with it

Depends how long you play. Can be 1-3 times depending at the moment. Used to be more, nothing to say a new update wont make it worse.

Thats you personally though. With all the games that dont load because someone bad the infinite load screen it means that while you personally don’t receive it someone else has. Hence why it is frequent.

Maybe don't run dbd on an old microwaves oven?

  • @ClickyClicky said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1092431#Comment_1092431

In terms of crashing it definitely used to be. I dont remember the exact timeframe, maybe last summer but there was an issue in the game where immediately after you take your first few steps the game would crash and the crash reporter would pop up. Seemed to be an update that caused it and it lasted a few months.

Now the biggest issue is the infinite load screen. This is frequent. If you deny that you’re lying. It can potentially happen multiple times per session but if it doesnt happen to you it will happen to someone hence why some lobbies dont start saying “a olayer disconnected while loading”. Thats not people rage quitting thats the infinite load screen.

Now its not meant to count those as disconnects but this is DBD nothing works as intended. Hell just the other day it couldn’t even rank reset like it was supposed to.

Define frequent, I NEVER get an infinite loading screen more than once per day, but more commonly I get one every other days.

This has zero effect on the penalties, its another excuse.

  • @Oshi said:

Imagine DC penalty system and suicide on first hook issue. People still "leave", nothing changed.

Took me several days, playing 12+ hours every day, but we got there.

Now I couldn't have done this alone so I'd like to thank the BHVR team for changing DC penalties from a percentage basis to the number of instances during a 24 hour period.

And of course if you play all day and crash once? Well then your penalty never resets. I mean that stroke of genius I have to tip my hat to. I would be stuck thinking logically, trying to apply penalties in a fair and balanced way, but BHVR is thinking outside the box. Play a little? DC all you want. Play a lot? Never crash, not even once in a 24 hour window or you're blocked from playing the game you paid for. Damn, why didn't I think of that.

And last but not least, to the loving community who assures me that I'm a liar because DBD doesn't crash or even have bugs! Wow! Now that kind of programming talent you want to hold on to!

    Thank you.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

On am average gaming pc, my dbd crashed 5 or 6 times in a year.

Don't act like this game is so bad with crashing because its not.

This is the usual survivor excuse to go against a system that is working very well

Be careful what you wish for. Legion was S Tier at launch, but they got nerfed super hard because of that. Having a strong killer for a few months only for them to get trashed isn't ideal

Legion has always been weak, with fmt and sws she was very strong in 1v1 and that's about it.

Very easy to beat and genrush.

As for the new killer, it will be something unremarkable like all the ones after Legion, also it will be nerfed quite quickly

Survivors who only do generators as fast as possible and leave will also get hit by NOED and probably not pip.

But this seems to be happening a lot on ps4 red ranks, to the point where even farming BP, unless on a strong killer, has become problematic.

Matches were killers score 20k points and survivors 15/17k should not happen.

I want my BP, tasty BP :)

  • I am rank 1 in both roles, killer is only fine when you accept that 50% of your games will be bad with sweaty teams.

Genrushing is very real on ps4, you get plenty of survivors scoring 15-17k BP escaping!

Ruin was a psychological deterrent, now all hell went loose.

That's why there are few killers left

Guess they'll go even harder than before at trying to get noed nerfed, now that they can't disconnect without punishments anymore!

And they will probably succeed as usual

If my fellow teammate has told me OR given me the sign that they are on the hatch and our odds of escaping are slim and the killer wants to be sweaty for the 4K.

DC? Should I been punished for it? Lol No. Hopefully this DC penalty is actually not here to stay - Honestly it’s pretty petty move especially for people who support it to make this a thing.

You can’t chain someone’s hands to the table and say you aren’t gonna move until this game is done because I say so. Here comes the “WELL JUST DONT PLAY THE GAME!” People. Honestly just STFU •_•

Can’t just screamed the well just don’t play the game. THEY BOUGHT THE GAME just like you. Imagine putting countless hours into a game and some just tells you to just don’t play the game derrrrrr. *insert brain dead here*

If I get Rottenfields as killer or any COLDWIND map as killer do you think that’s gonna stop me from leaving in the beginning of the match? No

I will literally pull my cord, afk in a corner, kill myself, etc if I have too. I will not let some timeout stop me from playing what games I wanna play because big cry babies survivors crying about there teammates leaving early game/ mid game/ whatever or killers crying about not getting there STACKs or kills. You got thousands of more games ahead of you.

AT the end of the day you do not dictate what games anyone plays and what mood anyone is in from what match they are playing.

You wanna tunnel off hook, bye. Mori of hook, bye you wanna camp, bye wanna bring an obnoxious build, bye what killer is this?, bye. ######### teammates, bye. Sandbagging, bye. I just don’t have time for it.

I pick my sanity over being annoyed because of a match.

I’m not here to be a survivors or killers puppets. I’m here for me so that I can have a fun time. bump you I bought this game for me to play, not for me to be helpless while you play. This game just has way too many issues and this DC penalty is just egging on to this issues making the situation worse IMO.

Why not address issues for the survivors and killers DCing. Fix your game maybe DC would be less. Granted there will always be people who DC just because but you can decrease that number if you bother fix the addresses issues.

    Map designs and Map RNG.

Why just why out of the 33 maps 80% is always COLDWIND farm. I play Ghostface I CAN’T STALK THROUGH THE CORN and the map is so big. I should’t even getting COLDWIND by default unless someone picks the map. Certain killers shouldn’t get certain maps if you aren’t gonna change the map layout. Bad RNG is a cause from DCs.

Latency and Hitboxes. Fix dedicated servers.

Sometimes people just get dedicated and it can be completely unfair either though grabs and vaulting windows, exhausted on the ground, hits not registering.

    Obnoxious behavior in general.

Some people soul purpose is to make the game a living hell from the other opponent. So people body block people forcing them to DC, Mori spamming , (I’m fine with a mori spammer who does it for fun does it for a couple of seconds,) But for some people with the attention to get survivors to DC Tunneling and camping making the survivor unable to play the game. Annoying builds, sandbagging on purpose, working with the killer.

There’s just too many problems just to slap a DC penalty face saying we don’t care about how you feel.

I have hundreds of friends that ask me about this game is it worth buying and you know what I always tell them. No, buy this game is the worse way to spend your money.

Maybe if you actually improve the game instead of continuously slapping a “BRUH MOMENT.” I would recommend people to buy your game, but as of now especially with the DC penalty activated at the moment my recommendation still stands with me telling others it’s not worth the money nor the time.

Holy cow, survivor mains are ANGRY at the penalties.

I guess denying points was a victory

It takes way to long to find matches on ps4 as a survivor 30 minutes or longer?

There's a lack of killers on ps4 due to continuous nerfs, terrible matchmaking ( green killers always face red ranks) and prominence of swf teams.

The only thing they can do is to boost killers or make killers into bots

  • @BuggyByDaylight said:

I'm all for getting rid of rage quitting but your new ban system is stupid! How can you penalise players that HAVE to quit due to a bug in your game? I wiggled out of the killers grasp and fell through a wall on Hawkins Lab! I couldn't do anything and I just kept falling!

I decided to leave the match and BOOM, 5 minute matchmaking ban! This was the first time I've had to leave a match in 10-15 matches and you decide to punish me straight away? We should be allowed 1 free DC every so many matches to account for issues beyond our control! Slapping someone with a ban on their first DC is beyond stupid!

Then in another match, I suffered with the hidden skill check bug. The killer was using overcharge and the other guy just kept moving from one locker to another to avoid the crows. It was IMPOSSIBLE for me to hit the overcharge skill check! If the killer hadn't have had overcharge then I'd have just tapped the gen like with nerfed Ruin but nope... The second I touched the gen the skill check came on but I couldn't see it!!! I tried leading the killer to the lockers where I knew the other guy was but no joy so in the end decided to leave the game. BOOM another time-out!

You can NOT keep penalising people with time-outs until the game breaking bugs are fixed. All you are doing is punishing people unfairly and people will simply stop playing! You also force people to wait to rejoin matchmaking when they had a legitimate reason to quit, what on earth is this going to do to the already high wait times? (on console at least)

Every time I receive a time-out due to a bug forcing me to leave the game I will simply go and play something else! (I imagine many other people will do the same) Queue times are long enough without being penalised!

Wait 5 minutes and requeue, all is working fine.

Quick tea and bathroom break and you are ready once again.

Game breaking bugs like that are very uncommon

The dc change makes it harder for survivors to dc put of spite, considering that survivors are the majority it makes sense they try to revert this.

  • A game with 3 chases total, is that in any way fun? I found it boring, and it seems that survivors don't want to be chased anymore just power through gens

If I understand correctly the new DC penalties are to punish people that disconnect in a match simply because they don't like the way the match is going. The rationale is that disconnecting is unfair to the rest of the people in the match. I 100% agree this needed to be done.

I posted a thread yesterday about queue times on PS4 and had people started commenting on it how when they play killer and they get stuck in a lobby they don't like because of the amount of survivors with toolboxes or whatever reason they just dodge it. Toolboxes are part of the game. The rationale behind dodging in this situation is no different than the rationale of disconnecting in a match. They don't like something so they dodge. Dodging is still disconnecting. It's just done in the lobby instead of the match. It's just as unfair to the people you dodged as disconnecting in match. Sometimes it's more unfair because you may end up waiting 30 minutes or more for your lobby to fill again.

Why does lobby dodging get a free pass when it's done for exactly the same reason as disconnecting?

Well picture this: red ranks, I have a bubba daily. I start the match, see a yui and down her with the saw, hook her in the basement.

2 gens pop, I go into a chase with a feng, it takes a bit but down the feng, hook her. 2cgens pop. Find the last feng, final gen pops and its game over.

10000 points for me 16000 for the person scoring the highest ,wow what a fun game!

Maybe I had to go to the bathroom because of a "burrito emergency".

I'm not gonna ######### my pants just because of an online video game match.

Survivors have thr best excuses, mate just go to the toilet and go afk, you'll die and no penalty or DC and use the punishment time for your bathroom break

I hate this logic. There are reasons for DC'ing. Now if the punishment is low as they say, it wont matter.

    • Someone I know just died
    • My boss calls me and needs to to fix something remotely ASAP (I work in IT, this happens a lot)

Now don't get me wrong, those are both extreme factors, that don't occur often enough during game play for them to matter. But they are reasons.

But by far the reason I DC the most often is because two other people DC'ed.

If I am playing killer and two people DC before 1-2 gens are even done, I often DC. I have yet to find a survivor that enjoys playing 2v1 with 4-5 gens left. As a survivor, I feel the same way, if two people DC, I will run to the killer and try to let them hook me and kill myself on hook. However if they want to farm or just slug me. I DC.

In both the scenarios dbd ceases to be a priority, so who cares about thr penalty?

Most survivors dc when downed, not for an emergency, so a few real dc get a penalty to ensure that thousands of people can play without the plague of dcing.

    Thank the gods

  • There are no excuses for dcing, accept your penalty and move to your next game

  • I am already starting to see some salt, great!

I just played a match with trapper, found a kate doing a gen in my face hit her, she goes to a pallet, stuns me and the bags, downed her and she dced... OK...
