Be careful what you wish for. Legion was S Tier at launch, but they got nerfed super hard because of that. Having a strong killer for a few months only for them to get trashed isn't ideal

Legion was super low tier at launch, he is still low tier. Nothing has really changed.
What was Legion like at launch?
new killer will be B tier at best for balance reasons as survivors cry too much
he just apply on you dw then moonwalk chase you until you got down by the timer
Ran super fast, could spam knife swipes, and stabbing the same survivor multiple times eventually downed them. Though it was seen as too oppressive with little countermeasures to it so they kept making gradual changes. Eventually they said ######### it and kneecapped him because a new gamebreaking glitch would always pop up.
He's in a decent place now but feels weak in too many situations. So people are waiting for a Freddy tier buff.
Hopin itll be a cool killer. Wont buy the chapter. At least till first nerf, likely wont bother
Legion was garbage even at launch. They were only good with the stupid moonwalk exploit and franks mixtape, which was very overpowered.
I love how this post went from the new killer to old legion. I liked old legion too. sucks too many people cheesed them and the devs rushed to nerf them. 😔

Legion has always been weak, with fmt and sws she was very strong in 1v1 and that's about it.
Very easy to beat and genrush.
As for the new killer, it will be something unremarkable like all the ones after Legion, also it will be nerfed quite quickly
Lol Legion was never A tier let alone s tier.
He could cheese a survivor but it still took time. Not to mention he was 110% speed.

Freddy rework, Ghostface, Demo, Oni, Doctor rework
These are far more versatile and stronger than the killers of yesteryear which could barely cancel loops or had no mobility.
well, if it will be a bad killer, i hope they will change it the way they change ghosty. GF was so bad and now, after the rework is such a fun killer to play as and against.
I would need more information before I could even guess to what tier this killer could be but the last couple of killers we have gotten have at the very least been B and above. They've all been somewhat versatile and have good perk synergy.
Demo: teleport, shred, abyss sense and has great synergy with pallet perks, hook perks and hex perks thansk t ohis port ability. His shred makes spirit fury horrific to play against on most maps.
Oni: Great synergy with injury based perks. Even if they refuse to heal, you still get the benefit of dripped blood orbs that eventually can be found all over the map. His wrath power is also devastating and can allow for skilled plays. He has enough pressure mobility for possible gen focused builds too.
Plague: She dosen't get a lot of love but in my experience she's probably one of the most capable of being out right toxic-pun intended- with the correct builds. She can plan and infect objects around her, has some anti-looping ability to an extent and she resonates well with injury perks and detection perks.
Ghost Face: EXPOSED PERKS PLUS EXPOSED POWER. Combiend this with his crouching speed increases letting him...normally...get grabs easily...until the grab bug appeared.
None of these killers are bad. If anything I think the last two killers have been some of the most fun ones I've played, honestly even though I main pig. Demo and Oni are competing for my main spots.
I don't think it's impossible for an A tier...but don't hold your breath. It most likely will be B+ if it follow trends. Even if its S it will most likely be nerfed to a B+ out of beta.
Freddy rework was nothing unique or amazing, they just gave him 2 abilities and it made him strong
Ghostface is cool
Demogorgon's power is quite lazily done and nothing that crazy, its not bad killer or anything, but he is a pile of wasted potential and his perks are garbage.
Oni is cool too
Doctor rework just merged his 2 stances into one, making his power more simple and easier to use.
So its pretty 50/50 so far imo
Freddy's rework is as far as they will go in terms of killer power. Why? It's not smart to release good killers as that would mean less survivor players and survivors buy more cosmetics.
Look at Oni for example, he was prominent A tier killer that got gutted into mid tier before release.
Freddy had more than just two abilities.
Survivors glow while in nightmare vision. There's the gen baiting along with teleportation which can put immediate pressure on a survivor. The term pallet hell was flipped on its head. Alternatively he could be trapping chases while still moving. And the oblivious status that ignores all survivor based perks that rely on killer TR.
Plus his freaky extendo arm lunges but that's always been a thing. Also one of the few killers with gen slowing add-ons.
But arent these things just some remenants of his old power? Like the glow thing? I never played old Freddy so I cant say. Most powers can be baited too. I just meant that his new power is snares and teleportation slapped together, and neither is unique. I just think he has wasted potential, they could go way more creative with the whole falling asleep mechanic.
(Just like with Demos portals)
At least it's much more unique than the old killer powers. Trapper is literally just a basic killer that can place traps.
Well yes, but it was the first killer after all. And arent freddy's snares just nerfed bear traps that can be set from a distance?

His old power you tagged someone, then 7 seconds later all their actions were slowed 50% and you saw their aura at all times if they were outside your terror radius. It would've been OP if survivors didn't abuse spinechill and self-care to immediately wake up granting immunity from his attacks.
They removed having to tag someone, seeing their aura, and the action debuff partially; but his ability to spot survivors glowing white was largely left intact.
New Freddy gen teleport is very effective. You either bait a teleport to see exactly where a survivor sprinted away (sometimes right into you) or use it to cross the entire map on command unlike Hag who needs to place a trap first. It's recharge is also passive.
And his snares besides slowing survivors down, can also provide feedback for their location. Which is valuable for searching.
Finally, fake pallets are actually a nightmare. Only Small game or Any means Necessary can help you there while asleep.
I hope the new killer is poopy brown tier
There will never be another Nurse. If somehow they release a killer that could perform at her old level they will "slightly tweak" them immediately.
