Why dont you play killer for an hour and farm bp? Then use it all on your survivors.

I don't play as much as I used to because of college so I enjoy playing survivor more than killer.I don't see why I should be forced to play killer in a game I purchased because of a upcoming change. Especially when killers have the luxury of getting enough BP to the point where they don't have to switch to survivors to conserve add-ons.

  • @Joao_Bandicoot said:

You don't spend any BP if you found the item/add-on in a chest and can keep them with Ace in the Hole, imagine if Killer had a Secret Shrine where you could collect/change add-ons mid Trial and even keep them after the match ends by using one Perk slot.

I did think about ace in the hole today and with the new system the perk still only has 1 functional role and that's for playing a loot goblin build. Taking ace in the hole with good add-ons is never worth it considering you're essentially making those 2 add-ons a perk and no 2 add-on combos I can think of are worth it. Medkit add-ons aren't as good as Botany knowledge if you want to maximize medkit efficiency.

As for your second point, the best killer add-ons are leagues better than the best survivor add-ons (Better than a 1 to 4 ratio). This doesn't even take into account when they use their best add-ons. Killers can hoard their best add-ons and use them when they feel they need to. With their higher BP gain they also are basically able to use whatever add-ons they want almost forever regardless.

Im thinking about using this perk on her with pgtw, dying light, and thano (I don't like using ruin on her) so that i have a window where I don't have to worry about exhaustion perks. The main problem is that i've put over 40 lvls past her max lvl with p3 and I have yet to see the perk, its as if the game does not want me to have it. So before I put even more blood points into her for this perk i was wondering if anyone has used it on her and if its good since survivors will always be injured and almost always have an exhaustion perk for blood echo to take affect.

Great perk on her if you plan on having a more chase orientated build on Plague rather than Gatekeeper Build. Game plan would be to run BBQ,Thano,Blood,Echo and Pop. Helps you snowball quickly.

  • I mean from your description it sounds like you were facing a bad huntress or just severely outplayed her. I don't think she needs any buffs at all, that is a example of healthy counter-play in which you outplayed her. She assumed you would drop the pallet and if you did, she would get a hatchet hit in but you never did and so she slowed herself down at a single unsafe pallet. If the Huntress was good they would probably just fake a hatchet and immediately swing forcing the pallet drop or getting a hit in. If she were to buff her then she could ignore unsafe pallets and hit you without much counter-play. Considering how frustrating her hatchets can be with their log sized hitboxes, I would imagine a lot more frustration would occur when she can hit you around a corner as you try to loop at a unsafe pallet.

  • @Auron471 said:

i like the bottom one. though i think the range should be limited to 16m. Also the aura should be based on the intensity, kinda like how buckle up works. The whiter the aura = more progress.

Yeah I was going with buckle up but I never use it so I have no idea how the coloring is but yeah it could work like that, sounds reasonable and the range can vary, I'm sure if it was implemented the devs could find the sweet spot for the range.

    @Auron471 said:

or maybe saboteur also reveals the aura of recently repaired hooks.

Also a good idea, I would assume that once a hook has been sabotaged completely it doesn't show until it's been repaired and just appears as a fresh hook for the aura.

  • @Volfawott said:

It has too much of an impact on the killer for it to be buffed in the way you would like it.

It's the same reason why why boil over wasn't given wiggle speed increases.

Breakdown requires somebody else so it's not as bad but constantly having somebody mess with your progress is very frustrating

I agree it can't be buffed a lot but a 5% increase on it's tier 3 version and a 2 meter increase on it's radius wouldn't be broken. It saves 2.7 seconds as someone corrected me earlier so it going to like 3.2 seconds isn't game changing but the amount of times I play with a friend and they're at 95% wiggle meter before getting hooked is almost half of the games I've played with it. (This is 2-3 missed killer swings and 2 hits with Mettle of Man) It's just disheartening to see it failing almost every time regardless of how committed I am to it. (Running Mettle+Styptic Agent is the only reliable way I've found to successfully get someone off of the killer's shoulders but it's really expensive to do)

  • @Deadeye said:

@SirFloofington The thing is, it can't be viable on single survivors as it would completely break the balance. Body blocking is also a thing that can happen, but must never be the common scenario. Body blocking works if you have at least two survivors around to take hits and get enough time. That means 3 survivors off gens and shouldn't happen too often, but resetting a chase and avoid one hook is a great benefit. If every survivor could manage to get wiggles as solo, this would be a new meta perk and break balance completely.

Maybe use chat pre game to make others aware that you have it and they join you if you run into the situation where there could be two body blockers.

I completely understand that it can take 2 people body blocking to stop a hook that's why I use Mettle of Man to get my procs and then I can take 2 hits with it to try saving someone (usually death hook) by baiting killers into swings or even getting hit to slow them down but even through 2 hits and a deadhard (Killer swinging into it) I still struggle to get a single person struggling off and I end up throwing 95% of games because of a risky play like that. It's just frustrating that putting so much effort and perks into the build and it very rarely actually works. Like I said it's still a fun perk but just so hard to get it working.

  • @DelsKibara said:

    I respectfully disagree.

I've had fun baiting killers to hit me while they're carrying a teammate and that teammate inevitably getting off after struggling for a while. It's challenging and fun to do.

    But, I do understand how you would think it would be frustrating and useless to use ^^;

Maybe I've been unlucky but after the third missed swing they just go for the hook instead and usually get it even after body blocking and taking a hit, that's what I find frustrating is that I feel like it's so close to working but rarely does even with so much effort put into it.

So basically what I'm reading here is, a killer is oppressive if they can capitalize on your mistakes but they are also oppressive if they outplay you? If you get caught in a bad position the killer deserves to punish that. Sounds to me that you're a little biased.

Look. Deny him his first hit and he's a M1 killer with no power. If he manages gets his power, then you get two global warnings. One when his meter is full and one when he transforms. Find a structure and he can't down you. He's also ######### on every single indoor map, and even more ######### om his own map. So, I don't think you understand the word "oppressive". Oni snowballs if you allow him to snowball. Like all good killers do. Release nurse (high movement speed and 3 blinks base) was oppressive. There wasn't much yli could do against her. I played survivor during that time, so I'm very acquainted with. Oni is just strong (but still highly loopable). Learn the difference.

A killer is oppressive when they can capitalize on a single mistake and start to snowball the game from there, making a mistake against almost any killer guarantees a hit which is the usual reward for capitalizing on a mistake. Billy may chainsaw you but the degree of mistake made by that compared to an M1 is significantly different. Oni on the other hand gains the benefit of getting the hit (the usual reward of a killer) but ontop of that gaining half of his power instantly and now either filling the map with blood orbs or forcing a survivor to heal them taking 16 seconds out of gen time. Alternatively the Oni chases them for 40 seconds (If the survivor does literally nothing else but running, any actions such as vaulting, dropping pallets, crouching and entering lockers increase the blood orbs drop, significantly reducing the time it takes to get his power) at minimum and has his power. Also assuming he can't catch people in structures is dumb, maybe disgusting ones like Rancid Abbitor or Coal tower. Also hiding for 45 seconds when most of the time his power is popped after hooking someone is pretty catastrophic. Essentially making his ability "Survivors may not work on gens or hook rescue for 45 seconds" which is pretty ridiculous. So that leaves 15 seconds to save a survivor after his power ends,no gens being worked on during those 45 seconds and this also assumes he didn't go back to the hook to ensure a phase 2 on a survivor. All of this because of 2 healthy survivor hits or 1 hit and 20-40 seconds of blood orb collecting, yeah I think that's the definition of a oppressive killer. If you can argue against that scenario then please do because it's very common for Oni to still have his power and come back to the hook to someone being rescued and down the other person quickly or losing his power and getting a free hit on someone, getting him 40% there to another "Do nothing for 45 seconds" power.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/111221/oni-is-essentially-a-better-myers-oni-snowballs-too-quickly-and-is-oppressive

    "No counterplay"

You are just throwing words around from the spirit argument. Even in his blood fury, you can still loop him normally. He has a slightly larger lunge, but a bigger penalty on a miss, and can possibly do his dash, if he's really good, but mostly their power becomes a burden at good loops.

If we take a standard short side and long side loop with a pallet, you'll get at most 2 loops in before having to thrown down the pallet or dying because of the increased lunge range. So Oni will just eat that pallet in a second, forcing you to try getting to another pallet in less than 5 seconds, that's if the Oni doesn't just use Demon dash to catch up within 3-4 seconds instead. Trying to avoid his demon dash by cutting a corner or such is good in theory but you've decreased your distance from him and chances are he'll be able to naturally catch up to you before getting to another pallet or forcing that pallet drop even earlier to avoid his lunge. I see that as a common scenario and it only eats up maybe 20 seconds of his time, meaning he'll only lose about half of his power. Which is where he starts to snowball as either 1 hit or 10 blood orb pairs will get his power back instantly (Consider that blood orbs do not despawn and are spawning whenever Oni is within terror radius of a survivor that is hurt)

  • @crossboy said:

"Myer's tier 3 increases his lunge range slightly"

Did you seriously call his lunge range increase slight?

That is easily one of the best things about tier 3. Even against 4 no mithers, tier 3 can still be worth it just for the lunge range (and speed of course).

All info from Myer's was gathered from the wiki, his lunge range is only increased by 0.1 seconds when compared to his tier 2 version. Tier 2 is a 0.5 second lunge and Tier 3 is a 0.6 second lunge.

Yeah, it takes a single survivor to mess up. Just like with nurse, billy, spirit, myers, ...

He's strong, but people that call him op are peobably either brainwashed by some anonymus streamers or really really biased.

I don't watch any survivor friendly streamer, mostly because I don't know of any. I watch Scottjund and Otz and it's very apparent that Oni is able to snowball a game into his favor off of a single hit within a minute of the game. Which is kinda the definition of overpowered, being able to control the game in less than a minute when the survivors are supposed to be at their strongest. Also a Myers,Spirit,Nurse or Billy mess up doesn't mean the game is over instantly, Myer's can have his tier 3 popped and used on that individual or saved up but he can't traverse the map instantly. Billy can't force pallet drops at loops as quickly as Oni,Nurse can traverse quickly but she can be counterplayed based on her blinks and line of sigh blockers. Spirit is very strong as well but she doesn't have the capability to one shot a healthy survivor as one is barely being hooked, she can initiate a chase very quickly which makes her strong but none compare to the advantages Oni has once he's gotten his first hook or first power,so again making him the most snowbally killer in the game.

Billy has access to his chainsaw all the time, it's easier to control and actually hit with, yet you're saying he has better snowball potential than Billy. I'm starting to think you're just trolling, because he definitely does not have better snowball potential, he has to actually warn his ability and unless you let people bleed for a while you have limited access to it throughout the game.

The ONLY thing he does better than Billy is he can actually strafe with the charge which again is w/e when his club is god awful to hit with.

I don't know what world you're living in to say Billy's chainsaw is easier to control than Oni's ability. Also Billy's chainsaw has significant downsides to it when comparing it to the Oni's ability. Bumping into a wall temporarily stuns you and you stop chainsawing, the chainsaw hit is a lot harder to land than the Oni's AOE attack, as you said Oni can strafe and move around easier than Billy (An example is Billy can't roam with his chainsaw in Lery's while Oni can). Oni also has less cooldown on destroying pallets with his ability and has less cooldown on cancelling his charge. All of this leads to Oni downing survivors quicker than Billy once his power is up, allowing him to end chases quick with his power, which makes it faster to get again with some blood orbs laying around (Remember Blood Orbs last forever and max cap at 100 per map). This is where his snowball effect comes into play, he's able to down someone quickly with what is essentially a better tier 3 Myers with a chainsaw to close distances, save his power and have it up again after the person is hooked to chase down either another survivor on a gen or the survivors who recently healed. He then repeats the process until the game is won.

Okay you show me a video of a good killer even PLAYING a god loop. Lol till them your point is moot. And actually if the killer actually stops to break pallets you SHOULD be able to eventually lose him, if you can't and he's breaking EVERY pallet then that's on you as a survivor. And there are MORE than enough pallets in a single map that by the time you run out should be at 1 or completely done with gens if your team is playing optimally.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xUd5opqtGM Here's a video of ScottJund (popular youtuber and streamer of DBD) playing on what is probably the worst map for Oni early game. He also doesn't even get a hit until the first minute of the game, so there isn't a god loop but he had no momentum for the first minute and 10 seconds of the game so if that isn't the worst case scenario please tell me what is. Ontop of this you overestimate how many pallets there are and how quick they go if you drop them instantly. Seriously try it you'll run out of pallets by the 3rd gen and will start to get hit trying to get to another one. Windows aren't in the question as they're almost guaranteed hits but that's not for this discussion. Also yeah Otz is on PC because this discussion is about Oni on PC not console.

They nerfed his flick. He can 90° max now. So it's your fault when you get hit by it, either outpositioned or around a corner.

If you can't drop any more pallets to save them for later just take a hit and get the sprintburst. Then try to get healed asap. He needs two hits and a bit more to get his ability.

Kinda weird when I just got 180'd today, on the other side of a crate as he charges forward, maybe it was a 160 because of the angle but it's pretty ridiculous regardless. It makes almost any loop impossible to survive without wasting a pallet that he breaks within a second. So if that's the game plan then you'll screw over the entire team within the 50 seconds of his power. So again he's a better Billy who snowballs faster than him and all it takes is a single survivor to mess up.

I've seen a lot of Oni play, personally don't own him but I've seen Demon strike hit more than miss by a significant margin. Of course this might vary but I watch Scott and Otz a lot and they don't have a problem landing the Demon strike.

Lol I have already told you the good killers don't mess with god loops, that should be proof enough if it was actually VIABLE to chase a survivor down on god loops they would. Or are you telling me that there's just no killer good enough who's figured it out yet? 🤣

Also I have already addressed your map specific claim. Any survivor who's strictly trying to make a chase last as long as possible can go between enough spots to make a chase last just as long as god loop chases.

I mean you provide no evidence other than your word man, that's not really enough proof. Also yeah you can extend a chase for a while and deny him a hit but you'll also eat through all of the pallets very quickly leaving the end game to be very dangerous. Also running pallet to pallet will eventually lead the chased survivor to another survivor and then the Oni can get a hit in easily.

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

If he's in his ability and he wants to close distance with the dash, do everything but not run in a straight line. End of the story. It's the only thing he got. And if you don't want to let him get his ability drop pallets early. It's not that hard.

Yes like billy I do move around corners, the issue is he can 180 and attack unlike Billy. So even if I cut a corner to try to evade him, he's very likely to still hit me. Dropping pallets early is great if you get to one before he shows up, but early enough into the game and you'll endanger your team when there aren't any pallet left in an area. Regardless once he snowballs he becomes almost unstoppable when compared to other killers.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/902549#Comment_902549

Yeah that's not one mistake that's not even 2 mistakes that's minimum 4 mistakes that were made in that game. There is absolutely ZERO reason that Oni or ANY killer for that matter..... Except for maybe hag depending on luck of teleports. That they should get 2 hits in the first minute. Let alone 4 complete downs. If you think that game was ended by ONE survivor mistake then you are exactly what's wrong with survivor mains

I was assuming 1 mistake per survivor but in a scenario like this one, if that first person didn't hit the events wouldn't have transpired but if that's not a good scenario where a survivor makes a mistake that leads to everyone losing then fair enough. To say though that a killer making 1 mistake causes a loss is a bit much. If they played perfect and survivors didn't they'd win all the time. I can't think of a situation where the killer loses the match off of a single mistake. It's usually a lot of small ones that build up to a situation where the killer is behind.

You already proven my point, a good killer won't waste time on a good loop precisely because of what I just said so you won't see that video because we know how long god loops take.

Well if every map has a god loop I can take that advice seriously but not many maps do and ontop of that other m1 killers also need to deal with the god loop. Without a good killer showing a god loop though I can only assume the extreme outliers like Rancid Abattior,Coal Tower, etc as other loops may not be handled well by a less experienced killer.

There is NO mistake with ANY killer that a SINGLE survivor can make and I argue even TWO survivors that will end a game in a minute. Literally every one on the tram has to ROYALLY screw up in order to end the game in the first minute

Considering I've seen games end in a minute against Oni, there are games that end within the first minute, 2 quick hits from 2 different survivors and then Oni using his power is able to down the other 2 healthy survivors very quickly and end the game from there. That's from my experience in rank 4 right now.

  • @DarthRane said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/902511#Comment_902511

He's only slowed the game down if they stop to heal, even if they do you just admitted it's only a tiny bit.

First it's not hyperbolic to say it can take half the game to get 2 hits. Let's say for arguments sake you get your first hit in the first 30 aeconds. That's highly unlikely but just for arguments sake. Now let's say that person runs to a god loop almost every god loop can take upwards of 2 to 3 minutes maybe more depending on how good the survivor is. so that potentially 3 Gens done that's half the game so okay same scenario but let's say you abandon chase and look for someone else. Let's say it takes 20 seconds to find someone against just for arguments sake. Now you're chasing them and they get some strong pallets which is not an unlikely scenario. If they literally just put the pallet down and keep running to pallets they can EASILY make a chase last just as long as a god loop. Most hits come when a survivor gets greedy, or attempts to play mind games on the pallet. If they literally just put the pallet down and keep moving they can extend a chases to absurd lengths.

But, honestly it's not about how hard it is to get his power, it's about how useful it actually is. It's absurdly easy to avoid ESPECIALLY on console.

Even if you don't use the demon dash and strictly use the club smash you can almost always 360 it because it terrible to control.

And this is why I say for the first half of the game he's an M1 because if you use his power early and let's just miraculously you can actually get some insta down (not likely against any competent survivor) you now how have almost zero blood orbs on the map. You want all 4 survivors bleeding so that you can gain your power multiple times and actually have some kind of gen pressure. For the last 2-3 gens

If you nerfed how much energy he gets off first hit or nerfed how many blood orbs survivors drop (which they already did once) he would literally be garbage tier and just barely be above legion

I'm sorry to say but I can't believe you when you say a god loop takes 2-3 minutes of a killers time, if you can provide video evidence of a good killer who gets run through these loops then I'll concede that a god loop can stop this killer from snowballing into a win. I find it a lot more likely that Oni will get a hit and either continue to chase that survivor down while collecting blood orbs or switch to another survivor to get his power quicker.

  • @Hag.is.Dtier said:

Oni is an M1/R2 killer with no ability at the start of the match. If you can't loop a killer who is huge and very loud then I don't know what to say. Most loops in the game are safe and make it easy to waste the killers time. His power is also map dependent like Huntress and demon strike is a clunky mess that is easy to dodge by simply juking left or right. Myers biggest problem now is spine chill because it ######### over his tier 1.

You can loop an M1 killer for quite some time but most of the time a hit is bound to happen within the first minute of the match, also bloodlust exists to ensure a hit even if it does take 45 seconds. I don't agree with demon strike being clunky, on console sure but on PC his demon strike is incredibly deadly, especially paired with his dash, allowing quick 180 degree hits. He his map dependent like all killers are but less so than Myers and Billy. He doesn't get destroyed by maps like either of them do.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/902489#Comment_902489

Having played him quite a bit now, slugging with him is terrible. Smart survivors just get off gens and hide while his ability is going.

Also chasing 1 survivor after you hit them is literally the worst way to get his ability, they don't drop orbs that fast, as a matter of fact if you want to actually do well with him your best of trying to get everyone injured and THEN hooking a survivor. The first half of the game he's an M1 if you want to do well with him. And when I say well I mean actually have a chance of getting 2 or more survivors sacrificed

Oni just has options when it comes to getting his power but I agree hitting someone and then heading elsewhere is the best way to get his power up. Leaves a survivor who needs healing and the Oni needs only one other hit to have his power and snowball. Saying he takes half the game to get 2 hits though is hyperbolic as he's already slowed down the game after the first hit,not by much but the game is slowed.

Guess what, one mistake can cost a killer an entire match welcome to our world lol.

Very true and the same can be said about survivors. It all depends on the severity of the mistake but 1 mistake shouldn't end a game before it's been a minute.

  • Stealth is a counterplay to all killers, can't really stealth when injured though and iron will doesn't help. Also with how sound works in the game stealth isn't the most reliable but yeah it's an option to delay his power.

If I have one complaint, it's how long blood orbs stick around. Sometimes there are so many of them left behind when he comes out of his power that he'll almost immediately go back into it. I feel like they should work like scratch marks behave with Legion's frenzy. Whatever's left when he activates his power are permanently removes, and new orbs don't spawn until the power's deactivated.

That sounds like a good spot to start when it comes to changing, a light way to reduce his power use. At the moment blood orbs stick around 10+ minutes regardless if Oni is in the area or not. After 10 minutes I can only assume they last forever, only 100 can be on the map at a time though.

You CAN change your sensitivity on consoles, but it doesn't do much. You're pretty much stuck at the same sensitivity regardless of the settings.

That sounds awful, they should change it so it actually does change the sensitivity to a meaningful degree.

The thing that sucks though is that any nerf Oni gets will make him even worse than he is on consoles. Pretty sure devs have said they are making Oni's turning worse somehow, which makes me worry because Oni is already much worse on console, and this will hurt his viability even more. They have to take I to account all platforms.

I agree that it's unfair for platforms to suffer because of PC users. Platforms should be able to change their sensitivity (I've heard that's the main issue he sucks on consoles) and then change him. Another option is for consoles to have console only patches to adjust for the differences between pc and console users. Both can work and even be used together, depends on if the devs have thought about it before.

I'm saying this as someone who's played a large amount of both survivor, and Oni recently.

On PC he's definitely pretty ######### gross. I don't think I've seen an Oni have a bad game yet, myself included on him. This is a brand new killer, and he should so quickly just be 4king seemingly every match against decent red rank survivors.

He snowballs incredibly fast, and there's almost no downtime to his power. He downs someone, then picking them up and hooking them there's like 5-10 seconds before he's recharged and back at it.

His power has far too much control for how powerful it is. There's no penalty for hitting anything, even to the point where you can hit a solid object, maintain the charge while forcing him to turn, and then keep going on your way.

The strike has far too much reach and spin on it. At the end of the charge I've been able to run along a wall, have someone get to the end of that way, 180 and run along the other side in the complete opposite direction, and still been able to hit them. Most of the time it feels like if I just swing in their general direction, it does most of the work and downs them.

He only takes a short time to get off the ground, but becomes a vastly better Billy basically permanently, but then also has Legion levels of mid-game stalling by forcing you to heal or constantly reveal yourself.

He has too much of everything going for him, and I really hope they already have some nerfs in line for him. I really hate these people that respond with nonsense like "killers finally have something fun and you want to nerf it??!!1!" Yeah, because you're only finding it "fun" because it's broken in your favour.

I feel similar, I don't want him to be gutted but yeah once he snowballs he almost always has his power up and like you said, he's a better billy in every way. Also there's always gonna be someone who just types in "You want x nerfed" for both sides but thanks for providing your info on him and how you feel about him.

you call it a meme build. i call it science.

dead hard, no mither, head on, and decisive strike for days son.

Try Spinechill,Object of Obsession,Distortion and Sprintburst. Only look at a wall the entire game and use spinechill to know when danger is coming. God speed to you.

in all seriousness though - it's a cool mechanic. it makes use of the bleed benefit in more ways than one.

honestly though he's more like wraith meets billy because wraith is the one that follow blood pools.

Well Billy in the sense of speed from his power, moving the same speed as Billy, able to track like wraith though which i fair. Using blood to trick the Oni sounds interesting but extremely dangerous. Can make for a fun meme build.

I didn't read the post because there are literally no spaces between paragraphs and it hurts my eyes, but going off the title, yes he is. Myers is incredibly overrated IMO, he's good but it isn't a high tier like people make him out too be.

Oni is on par with Billy. They both have ups and downs but they are both really strong killers.

Sorry buddy, first post and use spaces but if it came out bad for you that's unfortunate. I think Oni is stronger than Billy after his first down by a large margin. Of course both are better in different maps and situations. Billy probably blows Oni out of the water on Rotten Fields but overall Oni is just more consistent with his power, able to down survivors incredibly fast once acquired. Billy on the other hand can be looped even with a chainsaw.

Yeah just don't get hit bud. Deny that first hit for as long as possible and he's essentially a killer with no power. Do gens and you'll be fine. If you think he's oppressive you must not go against good nurses/spirits much.

I agree denying that first hit as long as possible is the way to go but isn't always an option. Sometimes you're caught in a bad spot or a teammate is. He's oppressive in the sense that 1 mistake will start to snowball the game quickly. Good Nurses are worse I admit and same with spirits but they're also incredibly rare compared to Oni and his lower skillcap.

  • @wydyadoit said:

oni gives purpose for no mither.

so therefore oni is not meyers.

You aren't wrong, No mither did get a indirect buff, now as a survivor you can carry giant bright red skittles into a match against Oni. Truly a beautiful addition to DBD.

  • @kcwolf1975 said:

On ps4 he is very clunky, not too hard to dodge his demon strike. You do want to heal quickly when playing against him, but he is far from OP imo.

I'm mostly talking about PC, I've heard on console he's clunky like you said, my bad for not clarifying this. I do agree healing against him is very beneficial but it's risky as well as healing takes quite some time and the person you're healing is leaving a bright red orbs nearby (If he returns to the hook of course). I haven't tested out everything about the Oni so I could be wrong but theoretically healing against him is very risky as a healthy survivor gives him 40 charges of his power instantly. (Assuming every time he hits a healthy survivor he gains 40 charges of his power).

We finally got a good killer that is super fun to play and also super fun to play against and you are already complaining about it? Unfortunately this is not surprising.

Fun is subjective, I don't have fun playing against him. I'm giving my constructive feedback about him and you're not giving me a reason why he's not oppressive to play against. Please offer a discussion on something I talked about instead of ironically just complaining about my constructive feedback. I'm interested in ways to counterplay Oni so if you have any feel free to reply.
