They facecamped me while pointing his gun at my LGBT charms and then said this.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
(Yes I reported them in end game).

Scum, pure and simple. Apologies for having to put up with such crap. It's so easy to paint all Epic gamers with the same hacker paint brush, as no doubt the free aspect opened the door for near-unlimited accounts to abuse with. But isn't fair to the honest users, a few of which have commented here.
Reporting was the best thing to do glad ya did.

Let us block egs when enabling crossplay.
I wish that would work, and consolers like me also want to limit CrossPlay to just the consoles, but neither move would keep hackers out. Sadly they still can and do work their way in to all platforms.

Early in a game I often let the boop happen, if shown proper deference. Especially if it's the first game of the day.

Those maps also cause by Xbox1 fans to freak out, as does each time I clear a bloodweb at lv 50.

And no it's not a me or my system issue, iv tested on multiple connections packages and my system runs everything else the exact same with no change even loading into a match can be faster than loading into my own lobby alone from the main menu
My Xbox1 has always had the five scratches loading screen entering a lobby, of varying lengths. Are you on PC?

Seriously too many people just give up over stupid things, so what you got outplayed in one chance so you're gonna give up and throw the game for everyone else?
And what's with the people DCing and suiciding when we're far in the lead and it's your first hook...
I seriously dont understand what goes through people's heads anymore, too many people give up on easily winnable games because it didnt instantly go their way... seriously these people should be tracked and matched together.
No wonder killers are winning more, not because of balance but because of entitlement
I'd say the spirit of teamwork, of the collective good being more important, is a bit lacking in DBD.

Key Add-on:
Changes any key to a Master Key
Fully repairing three gens worth powers the add-on, allowing the surv to deplete the key directly opening a gate for 8 seconds (only they can escape this way). Killer gets noise bubble at other gate, for some fun misdirection.

-When the rocket launcher is equipped, press the power button to aim, and the special action button to fire. (Rocket will fly as fast as a fully charged huntress hatchet.)
-Any survivor within two meters of the blast radius of the rocket is placed into the dying state. Any survivor directly hit by the rocket is immediately killed

We have no right to complain about the matchmaking being "bad" when we also dodge lobbies for whatever reason.
The current system gets one and only one shot at a fair-ish match, which is immediately borked whenever anyone dodges, in either role, because the backfill is pulled from the pile and queue times are now prioritized over fair.
And most of y'all know this is how it works. We are doing it to ourselves fam.

Im on PS4 and always plays whit Crossplay Off when there is no BP Bonus as Kille3 becasue im done whit the Cheater Pandemie im done getting my Games Ruined by Cheater who can make a Gen finished in 20 seconds because they mod there Gen Progression higher as normal whitout Gen Progression Perks and Toolboxes and Survivorsthat Run 10% Raster than the Killer in the whole Match so its Impossible to loop them or Cheaters that have Auto Dead Hard that even activate when Survivors use a Window or Jump over a Palett
Most Cheaters are Coming from PC since Consoles are Harder to Hack
All I'll say to this is no one playing DBD is safe from hackers. They can and do get into matches on console, even if they have CrossPlay off, sadly.

Will BHVR stop making them bigger and bigger. I just got stunned from behind a green barrel on the farm map and had to turn the conner and walk forward to kick it. It's at the point where if I see a survivor drop a pallet I'm getting stunned.
Anyone else notice that they got even worse since they add the reverse stuns back.
I think the goal is to make pallet hitboxes around the same size as Huntress hatchets.
Say around the dimensions of a Cooper Mini.

Right it's not the SWF that's the exploit, it's the third party communication you are using to bypass the games systems that are the exploit.
And what could the devs even do about comms, assuming they wished to?

No, they're not survivor mains. It just seems that way because of how they balance, which is for the casual gamer. This game is not for someone that wants the ultimate PvP experience. People that play this game are 30, 40, 50 year old uncles and grandmas that want to be their icon, Freddy or Myers, or want to have fun in a SWF and be ok at it. The devs take all skill levels into consideration and try to balance the game so this can happen. Of course you have people that take the game seriously, but it doesn't take long to figure out that this game is broken for any type of serious play unless you make up your own rules in a private scrim.
I wish more took this to heart. They absolutely look at all skill levels when considering changes, with empathesis on not wanting to squelch the newbies or casuals that indeed are the majority of players.
All of you who have gotten very very good at this game in either role, which seems to be most of y'all around the forum's, always feel the changes the harshest.
The quests for efficiency synergy, and advantage may have sucked too much of the fun this game can be my friends.

This is why it's difficult to guage, because of how small the xbox-crossplay off pool is. We'd get so few matches you couldn't judge or test or collect data that'd be useful at all.

The one thing that would really increase that feeling of power you have as killer, would be a button to just throw survivors to the side, would it really change much in terms of balance? no. but it would be funny as hell to just toss a pink haired Nea out of the way as you chase someone.
Imagine if we did apply some realistic physics to the game, where for instance a 7-foot Trapper could ragdoll toss survs out of the way.
But then again they'd be no way a Legion or a Pig could pick up Jeff and carry him anywhere, let alone be able to handle Jane's booty.

Why has a replay system not been added so that players don't have to be constantly recording? Given how prominent cheaters are and how archaic the report system is it would at least let people report if they are not constantly recording their games. As it is right now it seems like the only people who can really report cheaters are streamers.
Such a replay system would have had to been built into their game coding back in 2016. To add it now would require a complete recoding, something they have no plans to do last time it was brought up in the latest Q&A I believe.

Well multiple meta perks basekit is a first, iirc.
And the irony is that they only do it with ub to counteract their horrible solution for basekit Mori. They would just need to change the requirement from "last standing survivor" to "last survivor alive" and there wouldn't even be a problem with mass slugging for it.
My post was supposed to be a funny take on the forum's reactions to stuff not even in the game yet, nor tested.
What I see the devs doing is attacking something specific, in ways not anticipated and maybe even preventative in nature. As you say, "a first" for them.
They seem to be going after some of the "unfun" aspects of gameplay, like options to try to discourage the killer from taking away a hook stage for instance. That's very useful against the quite good survs, but fustrating against all other survs when the killer guards a hook or intercepts a would-be savior.
So the base Unbreakable and perk change imo isn't only aimed at accommodating changes to the Mori's, but also mass early slugging & leaving the third surv down to hunt down the fourth surv and circumvent the hatch, things like that.
-
All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again, or sumshytt...
-
When they last released data about SWF numbers back in 2019 or so, it stated about half of all survs (across all platforms) we're in at least a two-man, that being the most common SWF, with 3- and 4-mans less common.
I do not believe they've released such data since then. However between that time and the Meta shake-up patch I have to believe the number of SWF had to have grown vastly, as solo queue got more and more delightful over the years.
Since the Meta shake-up, where it seems lots of survs left or became killers themselves, what does common sense say about the number of SWF these days?
Also keep in mind the majority of the playerbase is on console, who mostly play surv (why that is is another thread in of its self) where party chat is built in and super easy to use, and Discord is being integrated as well.
-
I can see both sides to this , and it's all bad.
Each and every time the DC penalties are off for a significant amount of time the amount of bs disconnecting makes having a regular match rare, and worsens the longer they're kept off.
However the hacking cheating business is booming like never before, thanks in large part to the epic Epic debacle. I've seen both small time subtlers and the more obvious ones, and I'm no where the MMR of y'all.
Without husk bots for replacements, I think (just barely) the current DC system is prolly the best we can hope for, at the moment. Should the devs work out a more effective Anti-Cheat then absolutely we revisit the DC penalties, as then it may be time to retire it.
As as for the constant comparing of the mobile version to the base game, everyone please keep in mind that an entirely separate team coded it from scratch with many of those wonderful options in mind, which sadly are not possible in our version. Until they recode the base game (not bloody likely) or put out DBD2 (also unlikely) our suggestions must not include the fancy Mobile stuff that's either not possible with our version or would take eons to implement.

I don't think they are, but I'm interested in reading some takes on the matter!
From what I've seen of their changes over the past year+ they've slowly been getting solos more info & coordination possibilities, with the end goal that it won't matter if you go solo or in a SWF. Bit by bit this seems to be happening imo.
Whether or not that is the correct approach is another topic entirely.

Yeah, I know, that’s the main reason it hasn’t happened here so far. I’m just saying the system does seem to work in general though on that mobile version so if or when they try it on PC it could be a nice change,
Absolutely it would. I am quite dubious whether it'll actually happen though.

@dugman said:
Well they are adding bots to custom matches soon (maybe even next midchapter if we're lucky!) If those bots work out well it wouldn't surprise me if they consider applying their pathing AI to things like the Nemesis zombies, different types of pets, and also maybe consider eventually replacing disconnected players with bots. (In fact DbD Mobile already replaces disconnected players with bots and it seems to work pretty well. The bots aren't as good as humans but they're better than no player at all!)
Sadly the mobile version of the game was re-coded from the ground up, with things like bots in mind. Might have to wait for DBD2 for replacing those who DC and other cool additions. If they even do a DBD2.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, im not trying to be negative or anything, im just curious.
Im a Nemesis main and he feels pretty fun for me. One thing i thought was neat was his zombies as its pretty fun to have minions.
One thing i really thought would have been cool was being able to have like a group of zombies to boss around, maybe with addons or something. Sadly, i learned the game can only handle two. A shame, but i get it.
However, i was wondering if there were any plans to maybe take a look into the game itself and try to fix the problems like this.
I get that it's easier said than done, but I just think that it would be healthy for the game if those kind of problems are looked at and maybe one day, i can get a zombie army lol

The game was never built with something like that in mind.

i cant confirm, but i asked around and apparently it was stated during the ptb thread or something. I didnt see it myself so i could be wrong (i really hope i am too), but I've had like 30 people say thats the official reason so i just assumed it was the case.
If its not, that would be dope though!
The story goes like this, so gather around!
While developing Nemmy they tried an Iri add-on that would spawn in a third zom zom. Apparently it tanked game performance so badly they scrapped the idea and changed the add-on.
Now assuming they develop their game on bad-azz PC's, what hope is there any of the consoles or lower-end PC's could handle that? Imagine what would happen to our poor Switch cousins, their machines would prolly melt.

I would do it the way escape from tarkov does it.

- Any player with more than 4 perks equipped is detected and auto banned
- Any player making contact with the skybox at a certain height is auto banned
- Any player who touches inaccessible points of the map is auto banned
I think to implement the first three they'd have to recode the game from the ground up with them in mind, something they've said many times they aren't interested in doing.
That last one is a bit tricky, given this game's wonderful stability. Nurses can blink themselves into crazy places already without even trying to break the game. And I as killer or survivor have accidentally glitched myself through the floor, walls, gates, chests, and entity knows what else over the years. Most recent is a Drudge bumping into me in a pitch-black upstairs corner on new Haddonfield, pushing me outside the house entirely. That map and the Garden have issues.

I know Dbd is built on the Unreal Engine 4 and has many changes you can make inside the .ini file, I however was wondering why is there not as many graphical settings as there is in titles using this same engine? I find myself looking for settings to higher my fps without having to lower the resolution scale of the render engine.
Setting such as AA make huge changes on performance along with AO.
I personally play on an ultrawide monitor and while I understand FOV advantage, it is nice to have Shadowborn as an option. (Maybe one day that could be base?)
I wanted to ask if there are any future plans into looking at optimising the graphics, so the games shading is not so dark when switched to Ultra? while it makes the game more atmospheric it results in myself having to switch to Desktop mode and risk crashing the game to higher my gamma.
I used a sharpen filter on low setting to try and bring back the fidelity and figured I would share the results here and maybe including it as an option in the games togglable options.
I can think of a few reasons why there's limited options there.
First off I believe they're after a certain look for the game, and as much control over lighting in particular as possible. Hence why the moon offerings were retired, and the need to use file changes and/or filters & outside stuff.
I also am quite sure the last gen consoles couldn't handle many of these options, with the shaders being likely the highest offender.
Since the devs don't really make changes just for one platform anymore, and altogether the consoles are the much bigger playerbase, they may not wish to spend resources in the visual settings area.
And this is from someone on an Xbox1, which has precious few options at all for settings in this game. Imagine our Switch cousins trying to run all that.
But none of this means their visual settings do not seem antiquated, even to me.
