  • I can see it now. Survivor A gets downed near the exit gate. Survivor B immediately picks them up in a healthy state, Survivors C & D body block for Survivor B until they drop Survivor A at the exit. Survivor A crawls out.

    Survivor B, C & D proceed to KEKW

    TL;DR: You're pathetic.

My friend has just started as new game for streams and I gifted him the Bubba DLC to get started, now he never wants to play anymore as killer.

His literal first 3 games were against bully squads everyone looping like actual red ranks, tbagging, and made my friend's first experience such some bullshit.

Hope you're proud of having to create an alt account because you suck and need to ruin other players' experience since yours is sad already.

Yet red rank killers that consistently get paired with Yellow rank survivors is fine? You do realize if someone stopped playing DBD for 3 months and came back, they would be yellow rank? Not everything is a smurf and not every new player to DBD is terrible.

  • Huntress - Moved down to B Tier as her hatchets can be easily dodged, she's forced to reload her power and it can easily be negated by running tight loops. Lacks proper looping capabilities to be considered A Tier.

Deathslinger - Moved down to C Tier. Slow mobility and lack of gen pressure hurt him throughout the match. Addon reliant.

Demogorgon - Moved down to D Tier - Very loud, easy to move preemptively, base kit abilities are nothing special and the cooldown on his teleport hurts his gen pressure.

Bubba - Moved down to C Tier - Despite his instadown, he's very easy to loop and preemptively dropping pallets can waste a lot of his time. Low gen pressure.

Twins - Moved up to B Tier - Fast mobility, extremely good slugging game, has good survivor tracking and can prevent players from leaving the exit gate. If bugs were fixed she'd be an A or even an S Tier IMO.

Clown - Moved down to D Tier - The rework did nothing to change him. Survivors can still predrop pallets to nullify his bottles. Speed bottles are still useless.

Pig - Moved down to D Tier - Easily loopable, power is lack luster and completely useless before gens and after the final gen is completed. Has little to no gen pressure. Addons are terrible.

Ji-Woon - Moved to F Tier - Power is very weak and relies on you consistently hitting 8 consecutive shots to damage 1 health state. Losing line of sight on a survivor can negate your entire power, allowing them to recover from any hits you landed. Addons are lack luster.

  • So killers are missing the bigger issue here. Dead Hard was never meant for distance; it was meant to be used to dodge an incoming hit. However due to the instability of servers and horrible hit detection, using it in this manner leaves you exhausted on the ground 90% of the time. Dead Hard has since changed to give you that extra distance which can get you to a hooked survivor, a pallet or a window a little faster.

You can't blame survivors for adapting when BHVR can't fix issues that have been pestering us for years.

  • I really do hope that they're working on another overhaul.

  • I would have rather received new maps instead of reworking old maps. Truth be told, they need to just straight up remove the multiple variations of the same map.

  • @Mandy said:

Leader is a really strong perk, I'm surprised I don't see it in more matches tbh.

The main problem with Leader is the distance at which is works. If they increased it to maybe 16 or 20 meters you might see it used more often.

"Increases the other Survivors' Healing, Sabotage, Unhooking, Cleansing, Exit Gate Opening, and Chest Unlocking speeds by 15/20/25 % when they are within a range of 8 metres from you."

Because it's 8 meters, it means you basically have to be on top of a teammate the entire time instead of doing something productive.

  • @The_Nightmare69 said:

So don't get me wrong doing gens is how you win I understand, but why make it your goal to rush the gens in 3 mins and then teabag at the gates?

If you rush gens the killer doesn't get any points even if he kills you. You don't get as many points as you could. and queues are freaking long at red ranks so why not just enjoy the game? I understand if a killer starts camping you want to get the [bad word] out of there.

But other than that I don't see why rushing gens is a necessity. especially if you would rather fix the gens than save your team. And I've been on both sides of this now. As a survivor I was left to die after taking a protection hit for someone. and as killer I've seen people just leave their mates hanging and rush gens and leave through the gates without even looking at their teammates. C'mon people why?

Because the longer the match goes on, the less likely chance you have of surviving? And as you said, the killer had Devour Hope? Survivors goals are to escape, not to stick around and let the killer get points off of them.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

10 minute queues then I'm teamed up with rank 20s. It's happened 3 games in a row. I mean come on lol these guys don't even touch gens!

Funny thing is if you wait till like 3-4am EST, you'll get instant queues.

  • I'd also like to add Deliverance will not proc if you're the last survivor alive. Even if you haven't been hooked yet, the entity will instantly kill you.

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

So this chapter brought some back after two disasters this chapter I believe was played safe. They didn't try anything risky. They didn't bring a complex killer power. Likely to have bugs simple power dude throws knives. They didn't do much other changes but the few changes were good. Wraith got built in Windstorm he can be more viable now. Blights FOV was increased it's weird to see now but it's a good change I bet more will try Blight but not much since he's like Nurse where there's a high skill ceiling that most would rather not go through. Colorblind settings were good. The DS change no more abuse. So the devs played it safe and for now it's worked.

    Not much..

    1) The UI is still a mess but it's a little better than the disaster it was.

    2) The survivor is just another skin with more useless perks.

    3) Still waiting on Open Handeds buff

    4) PTB performance is a laggy mess and you can't move at the start of the match 90% of the time.

    5) PTB littered with bugs as usually.

    6) New killer is just a bunch of old killer features combined with Hacking Ghostface knife throw speed.

    7) After the fallout they immediately went to try and sell us more skins.

    8) Hit validation still isn't working properly

    9) The "Chat Filter" is censoring normal everyday words.

The list goes on.. so for me they're still a long ways away from redeeming themselves.

  • @D3spair said:

No offense devs but for me its really worrisome that every new chapter PTB's new Killers are weak as hell. Like are you guys that afraid to make Killers Strong as hell? I understand its a PTB but why are the recent ones weak as hell(on PTB). PH was the last one for me that was decent in the PTB anyways.

Killers are weak as hell? I'm sorry but what? Dowsey literally just went on a 150+ 4k streak. Blight in the hands of a decent killer can wipe the floor with any team. PH is probably one of the best well rounded killers in the game.

Meanwhile Survivors? When was the last time we actually received a Meta perk? Don't worry.. I'll wait

  • @GHOSTfaceP3 said:

I personally love this killer he has so much personality and it's nice to actually be hyped again.

There's also a difference.. Elephant clown is worn, tattered, covered with dirt and blood.. and at the end of the day, the man still curb stomps you, cuts your fingers off and eats them.

  • @Vexon said:

hey dingus did you read what i said? literally all of my dbd steam friends are experiencing this as killer. step down from your high horse mr condescending

Again that's a DBD issue or an internet issue. It's not a Steam issue.

  • @Exerath1992 said:

He kills people. That's how he fits. The scariest kinds of killers are the ones that look like anyone else. That's why american psycho and silence of the lambs are such great horror movies.

Charles Manson killed people.. Does that mean we should put him in DBD? Bill & Dwight killed people, should they be a Killer then?

  • @NomiNomad said:

Jesus Christ, the entitlement this community has.

How dare this killer not be the exact same as every other killer! Psychopaths aren't allowed to be conventionally attractive!

You realize if this person existed in real life, he would be terrifying right? But no, he's not mutilated or masked or a monster, so obviously, he can't be scary. You're allowed to dislike the killer. that's fine. I don't like his design either. I would prefer his color be more dull. But the whining this community does because the killer isn't conventionally scary is astounding and stupid. Of all the things to whine about, "I don't like the look of this killer" is such an idiotic one.

Not every killer in this game should be "masked/mutilated man/woman with weapon".

Except it is like every other killer?

    Trickster = Deathslinger & Plague 2.0

    Twins = M1 Killer & Portal-less Demogorgon

    Blight = Billy & Spirit 2.0

    Oni = Billy & Leatherface

    Ghostface = Myers & Pig

    Clown = Huntress & Freddy(Snares)

Deathslinger = Weaker Huntress with a smaller terror radius

  • @DrStone said:

Bunch of edgy 10 year olds who think that horror is limited only to UGLY, DISFIGURED, OLD, MUTATED, MASKED and whatever else killers.

But yeah. Eccentric murderers with crazed laughter ... Never happened before.

No. They literally saw their game dying due to their horrible PR, refusal to listening to player feedback and lack of communication. So they decided to poach off the K-POP community that are die hard fans and will immediately forget about all their wrong doings. Obviously it worked because notice how no ones talking about how bad the UI still is, how terrible the lag is or how awful the survivor queue times are.

  • @GeneralV said:

All that hype...for this? I am so disappointed. If I buy this chapter, which probably isn't going to happen, I will just get his adept and never touch him again.

If your teammates get to nine hooks I don't think you are worrying about gens at that point lol.

Not only that, but I doubt you're missing great skill checks all game just to get that 1 slight boost.

  • @REL1_C said:

I know The Trickster dbd Yun-Jin are new but the survivor perk Self-Preservation need an immediate buff.

Self-Preservation: Whenever another survivor 12 meters of you get hits by a basic attack or special attack, Self-Preservation activates. Your scratch marks are hidden for 10 seconds.

All that needs changing is this.

    • Whenever you or another within 12 meters of you get hit, your scratch marks and blood are hidden for 7 seconds.

Buff: This effect applies to you.

Buff: Your blood will be hidden as well.

Nerf: Reduced the time from 10 seconds to 7.

This seems like a balanced change, still won't be as OP as the killer perks but I would love this change.

    Question?

Does fast track stack tokens, like can you have 10 tokens or just 3 at a time.

All of her perks need to be buffed. Fast Track is literally useless.. You need your teammates to be hooked 9 times for a measly 27% to 1 gen if you hit a great skill check.

  • @senki527 said:

Please community, stop the homophobic treatment against the new killer. I think the Killer has a cool design and an interesting power. We need more of LGBT characters in DBD, there are too few at the moment. But they made a good step in the right direction with new killer.

What does us ragging on the new killer because it's a literal K-Pop star have to do with this?

  • @Dbdswitchisok said:

I think they are cool. the killer is pretty cool and I think people are exaggerating when they go oh since he is kpop this makes it "not a horror game" because personally I never found this game as a horror game. but anyway both perks on both sides are really good, especially on the survivor side.

Another round of useless perks for the survivor, killer is kinda underpowered imo

  • @GodDamn_Angela said:

So many of you have such an ignorant view of horror. If it doesn't look scary, then it's not scary. Sorry, but that's not how horror, fear, and the real-world work.

What about him doesn't fit/work in DBD? The fact that he wears bright clothes?

Ignorant? Please explain how a kpop star with a bat is scary or how it compares to any of the horror icons and monsters we have? When you have survivors literally running to him because they want to be killed by it and adore it, you've done something wrong. At this point you've opened the door for literally anyone to be a killer now.

  • I see double pallets on a severely unsafe loop for survivors. They need to drop both for it to be a useful loop.

  • @Yords said:

It is extremely powerful because survivors can use it to extend a chase by the press of a button.

I have just many arguments saying that "It actually isn't that bad, you can just bait it out" but I feel that people who say that are just inexperienced and don't know how the perk can be used at its best (not hating).

Dead hard is incredibly powerful especially against a killer like Wraith, or Trapper. Wraith is destroyed by this perk and even a good Trapper will struggle to trap survivors who can just go through their traps which is honestly just straight up unfair.

It is also unconditional aside from the fact that you need to be injured to use it. You don't need to vault a window like lithe, get in a locker just like head on, or hold it like SB, you can just use it whenever as long as you are not exhausted and injured.

The amount of value a single survivor can get out of this perk is astounding to say the least and I feel that the only reason the devs have not nerfed at the perk is because a lot of newbie survivors don't know when to use it (I mean just look at the baby Davids).

The fact that a survivor can press E to erase their mistake and extend a chase seems a bit unfair imo. I feel cheated whenever I am put against multiple survivors who are using it.

But the most detrimental part of it is that it is especially powerful against any killer that only has an m1 attack (no projectile or something like doctor's shock) such as the killers described above and even the good ones.

Imagine this situation. You are playing Wraith around a T and L wall. You finally are catching up to the survivor and right before you get into hitting range, they press E and make it to the wall and then give you a tour of the map. You spend all of that time chasing a survivor, and you don't even get a down. The same thing can even happen with a strong killer such as Oni or Huntress. If you fake dashing into the shack while a survivor goes to vault the window outwards, that is a down... unless they have dead hard. In that case, the survivor will use dead hard to give them a second chance. And then they buy themselves and their team time. What about Huntress? You could chase a survivor around a pallet gym and correctly predict when they drop a pallet and just barely make it right before they can move, but when you throw the hatchet it goes right through them because of dead hard. Same thing for Pig, you make a fantastic mindgame while dashing around a truck but because the survivor has dead hard they dash right past you and take you 'round again.

Just play killer at high ranks against a full team using dead hard like this and tell me that this perk is okay. And just a reminder, this can be used multiple times in one match on just one of four other survivors you have to worry about who could also have the same perk.

The point to take from this is that Dead hard is extremely powerful because not only does it give the survivor using it a second chance, but mainly because it can extend or even force the killer to end a chase which is crippling against lower-tier killers. I honestly think it needs a change, but I can't think of one that is balanced and still useful.

Just wanted to educate some people 'bout ded 'erd.

"Just bait it out" "I feel like people who say that are inexperienced" "You are playing Wraith around a T and L wall"

Your first mistake is chasing a survivor around a T & L wall as a Wraith.. Clearly you dont know how to play your killer and as such is why you're struggling. Wraith is not a chase killer, it's a hit and run killer. Getting a sneak attack on survivors and immediately cloaking to injure someone else. If you're chasing and not trapping survivors between pallets and using an uncloak speed boost to M1 someone, you're doing it wrong.

Dead Hard is no different than BL, SB & Lithe. They all come with a requirement and personally I would rather have a survivor with Dead Hard than a survivor with Lithe that can vault a window/pallet and immediately lose chase. At Rank 1, I rarely ever go against a survivor that uses Dead Hard to get to a pallet before I can down them.

  • @Mandy said:

You are free to report players who are AFK, I am sure if it's a constant thing they will be looked into.

As for not getting chase points, I don't have a definite answer as to why (if) this was changed but if it was, it's probably to avoid and discourage farming points as much as possible.

If a killer is AFK in a match I'm in, I will just do the gens and leave asap.

Except doing gens and leaving forces a depip on the survivors. We needed chases points to safety pip against an afk killer.

  • It's been broken for well over a year now. But might as well just delete it since Killers are trying to get it nerfed.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1981530#Comment_1981530

"Literally no one was complaining about dead hard prior to DS & Object" Shows me that your being dishonest or are ignorant of how much people have complained about it. Dead hard is very complained about just not as much as ds or object because those perks are a lot easier to abuse which is funny because dead hard isn't even very hard to abuse in the first place. Its not just us dirty killer mains either some survivors literally don't use it because they see it as a crutch to bail you out of mistake and they want to improve at this game.

Wrong. Survivors don't use it because it's extremely unreliable and you end up exhausted on the ground 75% of the time. And dishonest? I read the forums all the time, so I know what's posted here. The fact of the matter is, they were flooded cries for DS/OoO nerfs, not Dead Hard.

  • @panernaners said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1981434#Comment_1981434

who said anything about nerfing those perks all those are fine. Its not about looping a survivor properly its that you sometimes you do that and they can use dead hard to escape that deadzone by using it for distance to get to a pallet although on some maps they really are just screwed. I think you have been playing against survivors that don't abuse these two perks but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen go look up videos of people abusing these perks and I'm sure you'll see why they are an issue.

    here are some for example.

    https://youtu.be/ujBTogeQcds

    https://youtu.be/WC1mClI_VlA

Who said anything about nerfing them? No one "yet". But the way things have been going, the moment Killer mains get a nerf they want, they immediately target something else. Literally no one was complaining about Dead Hard prior to DS & Object.. then the moment they get nerfed, suddenly Dead Hard is a major issue.

Also you're using videos of Sweh as your example.. An extremely good survivor, who is using a broken tile set up in part 1 and he's going up against a terrible freddy in part 2 that missed an m1 by being looped around a tree.

What're some good gaming mouses for DBD that EAC approves? I thought about getting one I could set a wiggle or struggle macro on and not have to spam anymore but I've heard you could be banned with certain ones so if someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

So from what I can tell is EAC only seems to have an issue with Bloody products. I've never had any issues with Logitech products and currently use a Logitech G600 MMO mouse w/ a Logitech G910 Orion Spark. I run struggle, wiggle, moonwalking and flashlight macros through them.

Been doing it for years with over 3500 hours.

  • So whats next after Dead Hard? Sprint Burst. Lithe and Balanced Landing? Because all they need to do is get to a window, save their exhaustion or find a small drop to escape you?

Dead Hard already comes with the necessity that you have to be injured to use it. If YOU don't know how to loop a survivor properly and force them into an area that they can't exploit it, that's on you.

I have over 3500 hours in this game and not once has Dead Hard ever been an issue. But then again I never had an issue with survivors using DS on me either. I feel like everyone just wants this game to be dumbed down to the point where chases mean nothing. You get found, you die, killer wins.

At that point, why even play the game?

  • @NomiNomad said:

I mean, to be fair, Fortnite is a TITAN compared to Dead By Daylight. It's played by more people and thus- Get's more licenses.

To be fair Fortnite just steals licensed/copywrite content from people and hopes they don't get sued.

Bloodlust 1 needs to remain as long as survivors can buy so much by just holding W on maps like Midwich, Lerys, Rotten fields, Mothers dwelling etc basically maps that give you a long clear run. Especially so if there is plenty of windows. It also doesn’t really do much as pallets as many are too safe for Bloodlust 1 once dropped.

To remove BL1 you’d also need to remove the effectiveness of holding W as survivor.

Well there it is. "We need Bloodlust because survivors just exist".

You don't "need" bloodlust.. You want bloodlust because instead of sneaking up on and mind gaming them you would rather just bloodlust them out in the open. Like what else is a survivor supposed to do? Every killer aside from Nurse already has a faster movement speed. Do you expect them to hold any other key aside from W when running away from you?

  • @GoneForever said:

Anybody who says DH doesn't work because of latency is incompetent OR is trying to ignore the main problem they know they can't ARGUE AGAINST.

The problem with DH isn't "dodge hit" (which doesn't work because of latency) but "gain extra distance in short time" which wins extra second for survivor in chase which often allows survivor to avoid being hit.

Except there literally is no main problem. It wins extra seconds in chase, just like bloodlust wins killers extra seconds in chase. It fixes survivor mistakes just like bloodlust fixes killer mistakes when they don't mind game properly and force survivors into the proper tiles.

  • @GoshJosh said:

Remove Bloodlust, if you want to see even more Spirits, Freddys, and the like; and never see a Wraith ever again.

I'd be ok with reworking Bloodlust, but don't see justification for completely gutting it.

What Wraith uses Bloodlust? The second you get a hit you should immediately be going back into cloak to catch back up. No killer needs bloodlust anymore and this was proven when they removed it for a weekend a few months back.

    No pallet rng?

    U mean a deadzone?

Yes, that's the trade off for having the chase extended by another health state when used correctly.

If you hate deadzones, use sprint burst instead.

Actually, just remove bloodlust completely and keep dead hard as is, because biased trash survivor mains like me would be happy with the change.

It's not a trade off for having an extended chase.. some maps literally have complete dead zones the minute the match starts.

  • @Zeus said:

I really wish the devs look into it. Players aren't really going to stop clicking so the devs will have to do something about it. Not because some people think it's BM but just because of the health issues it causes to epileptic players.

its about flashlight clicking* forgot to mention flashlight specific

I'm not an expert on this, but wouldn't it mean they have to get rid of flashlights completely? One would assume the blinding effect of a flashlight would also cause this as well?

Yes, you step back and then what? They got distance on you. Then you follow them and they do the 360 all over again. You're gonna have to attack at some point.

It's a 360.. They literally have to run toward you in order to do it. How can they be getting distance on you when they return to the exact same position once the 360 is complete. It's amazing how killers complain so much about every little thing, but yet when they get these ridiculous dedicated server hits "everything is fine" and survivors just need to "git gud".

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Bloodlust does not happen to bad players only.

Sometimes you literally can not catch up to a survivor or by the time you do, you'll have bloodlust 1 and then they drop pallet and it's bloodlust 0 again.

And sometimes they get bad RNG and there are no pallets making DH useless?

  • @tactic said:

I’m fine with both being removed, but I worry how that would affect newer killers who struggle in loops & chase.

That's the thing. The majority of the complaints I see on the forums are from killers/survivors that more than likely have under 1000 hours. They fail to realize DBD isn't just a game you can pick up and be good at overnight. It takes countless hours of grinding and repetition to learn how to loop. And it takes countless hours playing killer and studying survivor pathing to understand where they're most likely to run to.

  • And wasn't it just last month everyone was saying it was going to be Resident Evil? If BHVR has gotten better at one thing over the last year, it's making sure we can't figure out who the next DLC is going to be.

  • The best single perk for new players? Easily Windows of Opp. But the best starting survivor for new players is Jake for Iron Will & Calm Spirit early on; helping you stay stealthed while injured.

  • "I was hoping this would force survivors to learn how to use pallets and loop rather than going stealth the entire game" - Yet topic complains about survivors 360'ing?

  • What? This is a clear case of them thinking they had a little more time. I always attempt to Kobe right before a survivor unhooks me. It's extra points if you do in the survival cat.

Pop is 25% very little if players do gens

    Blood echo is pointless

Blood warden people 99 gates so pointless and it's a one time use

Dead man's doesn't allow for gen regression, actually stops ruin and pop from being used plus its obsession hook only

Devour and lullaby are nice but hexs which can be spawned on at game start or right next to gens

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1962105#Comment_1962105

It does but it's also a hex, I personally love the speed boost from it at 2 tokens but I dont care about the rest and hexs are lost way to easy

Pop is useless? That's why 90% of killers run it.

Blood Echo is useless? it makes sure the next person you chase isn't going to be able to Lithe/DH/BL

Blood Warden is pointless? Down the survivor; open the gate yourself and then hook them.

Devour & Lullaby are literally OP now that Undying was changed...

Sounds to me like you have a hard time starting and ending chases quick.

  • All it does is quicken the rate that all of us are going to get arthritis.

  • Sub 2 minute 4K on Spirit. Got a lucky start on Dead Dawg where I literally spawned looking at all 4 survivors.

  • Why is everyone on this spree to Nerf everything into the ground? DS, OoO, Spirit, Nurse, Dead Hard like can you guys just get good at the game? Nurse has an insane learning curve just to be semi decent at her. There's absolutely no reason to nerf her. Besides if she wasn't in the Tome, barely anyone would be playing her to begin with.

1 2 3 4 5 … 17
