No, it is considered taking the game hostage. Especially if you make it obvious that you're 4 man slugging just to grief. Like the aforementioned GF tbagging slugs at 5 gens... Or making an official thread to gloat about doing it.
It's not a matter of who thinks what is considered what. These are facts.
Factually he is still accomplishing his goal. He isn't preventing the game from progressing (although very slow progress). Taking a game hostage is preventing a game from progressing which he isn't doing.
It is totally something I dont think is cool to do but he is still accomplishing his goal regardless of how likable it is. You could argue its potentially toxic but thats about it.
A better equivalent would be carrying survivors and refusing to hook (assuming they don't struggle of course)
-
I wouldn't consider taking the game hostage honestly. The game is still progressing, although very slowly. Taking the game hostage is refusing to do objectives like not doing gens. Letting them bleed out still accomplishes your goal of killing survivors. I personally don't agree with doing it myself but its not a banable offense.
In short, yeah you can let people bleed out but its not very classy imo.
-
Hag has the most underwhelming cosmetics of all killers to me honestly. Most of them look the same but recolor. She only has 2 that I remotely like.
-
Oh and I tried Blight and don't think ill use him again anytime soon. I played one game as him and it was a baddd time. I did better as nurse my first game
-
Honestly every game outside of dbd has some level of toxicity. The problem with having generic toxicity being banable is that people will just constantly report people that annoy them no matter what. It would be very bad for the game if it got abused which it would
-
For the majority of killers, its not only miserable to play on but its obnoxiously difficult as killer. Unless you are playing against bad survivors and or you have one of a handful of killers on the map you'll have a rough time. I love how it looks but its just not fun to play on at all. Easily the safest survivor map

I'm awful with PH. He is probably strong killer, but you need to be extremely precise with your ranged attack. If you don't affraid of high skill ceiling, you should probably unlock him.
I bought him, but I don't have much courage to learn him yet. I like when learning killer require a skill, but PH seems to tough for me currently.
Well, maybe OP will have better expirience with him.
Yeah I was having a hard time with him. I've only played like 7 games with him and the first couple were rough but the last few I was getting regular 4ks so I'm feeling better. I mostly just like how much is in his kit
Having a built in mori is pretty fun and helps address DS
His cages also help address DS, saves a lot of time that you don't have to go hook, and allows you to keep chases with other survivors easier
His ranged attack can be devastating on survivors making risky unhooks or repairing gens. The fact that he can do a ranged attack through walls is also very nice.
Trails give good awareness. Are a great defensive tool, and can make pallets much more difficult to use.
So to me he feels like he has just about everything id want in a basekot of a killer and then some. He hasn't been as hard to play as a bunch of other killers so I'd say he's more medium difficulty (definetly behind oni, nurse, plague, deathslinger, ghost face, and blight with others being debatable as harder to do well with imo)

He is licensed. You can't unlock him with shards.
Yeah I know. I only mentioned it since they did. If you want to strictly use shards don't get him next obvi
-
It sounds like you know what you want tbh. I like pyramid head a ton personally so I'm inclined to say him for killer next.
-
Ghostface for sure.
Pig is the least combative killer in the game honestly. Ghostface (im using all versions as a reference) has had actual fights with people whereas pig hasn't at all and strictly sneaks up on people to attack. Pig isn't known to fight in the movies whereas Ghostface in all iterations has had at least some
-
No one left behind id love if they made it the entire game and either greatly reduce aura reading or remove it entirely
Slippery meat would be good to have a higher percentage
Predator....man id want to add a lot to the perk to make it better. Really id take anything since as is its pretty worthless
-
Overall its fine but I think because I'd hate it as a survivor I try not to slug everyone. I still do if needed though. There's nothing wrong with it but I avoid it if possible
-
Pyramid head is my favorite to play as, myers second, leatherface 3rd.
My favorite just from a standpoint as liking them being in would be myers first, Ghostface second (although in terrible at ghostface), and Freddy third (but id love normal freddy)
Least favorite two overall is demogorgon and pig since both aren't that fun to play to me and both don't seem to fit very well thematically.
-
Killers really need their moris revisted. Lots of them feel like they are basically the same.
-
Ill try to stick to ones no one mentioned here
Wendigo from until dawn
Killer from Hush
Predator (fits much more than xenomorph imo)
-
Id love a scooby doo collection just as something funny to add to the game.
More seriously though, freddy cosmetics and a few different options but mostly his classic look. Id love some of his dream cosmetics too
-
I will say I played my first game as blight yesterday as a baby blight and did terrible on console. I think I got one hook and 3 hits total lol

What he means is that you are playing a busted survivor who dies eaisly and gets targeted and eliminated by the killer before 2 gens are even done. Then it becomes a 3v1 with 4 gens left and most teams can't come back from that.
That and your teammates who don't pay attention will try to heal you whenever they see you and get confused why it isn't working. They will have to spend more time taking care of you as well
-
No mither kinda does indirectly
-
Definetly one of the most underwhelming perks. Not necessarily the worst perk but its one of the biggest ones that sound really good on paper but aren't that good in game
-
Just go do other stuff in the game like use your power until you get your max points so you get more bloodpoints or break any thrown down pallets. At least you'll get something out if the game
-
I typically only being it for a challenge. I had to blind the killer 5 times and I got it all in one game against a pig which was pretty hilarious
-
Lithe and Dance with me together is pretty fun. Fast vault and run fast with your scratch marks not showing up for 3 seconds. Good way to lose killer.

Wow, I'm glad you said that I had a survivor that kept acting like he was going to unhook me then letting me struggle, unhook me then letting me struggle. I guess he thought it was funny so when it was my turn and i had to unhook him, i act like I was going to unhook him then let him struggle, unhook then let him struggle. I walked away and said you know what let me unhook this guy I guess he got upset and killed himself lol
Yeah id much rather not have a teammate than a teammate who i can't trust to help. I feel like the team functions a lot better if you have 3 trustworthy players versus 3 trustworthy and one troll.
If someone just isnt very good im willing to take more risks for though

Thank you for everyone’s help! And for being so kind!!
Hey congrats!
-
What about Kevin from home alone as the killer and the thieves be survivors?
There's always been a running theory Kevin grew up to be jigsaw anyways
-
You should probably just boycott videogames if you get that salty about something that doesn't go your way
-
Moris just dont seem worth it now. They got overly nerfed imo
-
@Mister_xD said:
im at 16 right now, 21 is pretty impressive.
in the end, i think you're good as long as your rift tiers combined with the days left equal to at least 70.
Thanks! Yeah I was wondering if that is a good waybto gauge it. I didn't know if leveling up slows down a lot later on
-

Right, the fact that you said you've been screwed over more then you been helped is pitiful, solo que needs to have more, I think if they give random survivors the option to communicate though their would be alot of bullying going on
Yeah its very unfortunate.it really shouldn't be that way but it kinda just is. I also like to play fully expecting to not get help but be surprised if I get helped and plan to help others. It helps me be better and make smarter choices in the game.
I will be selfish though if a teammate blatantly screwed me over and didnt help me when they could have like another play is being attacked while I'm hooked and the player is next to me but never unhooks me. Then I dont have any desire to help them if they actively abandon me
-

You're doing great so far dude! I'm sure you'll finish it if you keep up the work.
Thanks! What i really want is onis skin around 42ish. The rest is pretty cool too but thats by far the thing I want most
-
Honestly I see most complaints about how it doesnt work well.
I could see an indirect nerf happening with the other exhaustion perks getting a slight buff so they are used just as much. Having other exhaustion perks improved would be a good thing honestly.
Killers are screwed over a lot but dead hard isn't the issue
-
@SpookyPumpkinPiez said:
That's insanely good progress dude
Yeah I felt like it was likely good but I heard a lot of people say rift is very slow. So far it hasn't seemed that bad but wasn't sure if it slows down a ton
-
Hag should be top of the list. Most of her skins are bad and her base skin is very boring. Wraith potentially next
-
A few generic tips
1. Find a killer that interests you regardless of how difficult they may be or how they are tiered.
2. Don't over commit to chases. Sometimes its easy to spend a ton of time chasing someone and it's sometimes not worth it because a lot of gens get done
3. At start of a game its often best to shoot for farthest gen first. Briefly check on gens on the way
4. Try to get some good teachables early on so that you can make a killer much better since a lot dont have good perks by themselves
-
@Mister_xD said:
so am i right to assume that you got all the teachables up to Legion?
then here's the list of Killer Perks i'd suggest you should focus on that released after the Darkness Among Us DLC:
- Corrupt Intervention (Demise of the Faithful DLC - Plague)
- Infectious Fright (Demise of the Faithful DLC - Plague)
- I'm All Ears (Ghostface DLC - Ghostface)
- Thrilling Tremours (Ghostface DLC - Ghostface)
- Surge (Stranger Things DLC - Demogorgon)
- Nemesis (Cursed Legacy DLC - Oni)
- Hex: Retribution (Chains of Hate DLC - Deathslinger)
not all of these are top tier meta perks, but they are generally speaking good perks that you can make decent builds with.
all the other Killer Perks that released during this time are pretty underwhelming, sadly.
and here are my suggestions for Survivor Perks:
- Inner Strength (Stranger Things DLC - Nancy)
- Soul Guard (Silent Hill DLC - Cheryl)
- Desperate Measures (Descent Beyond DLC - Felix)
- Build To Last (Descent Beyond DLC - Felix)
- Appraisal (A Binding of Kin DLC - Elodie)
once again, not all are meta tryhard perks, but i think they are good perks that can get some good usage of them in the right builds.
Thanks for the tips! And no I don't have all the teachables but most of the old meta ones at least. I have all of Dwight's, Jake's, meg, fengs, David's, bills, nea, and some random ones through shrines. Killers I have the majority of outside of pig, wraith, Legion, hag, and Freddy besides some odds and ends. All of this is before Legion though
-
Yeah I wasnt sure if progress drastically slows down as more sections open or if you can do the challenges easily. I finished all of the first section ones
-
I'm guessing there will be some sort of hot fix this next week and potentially a teaser later in the week. I could totally be wrong though
-

It’s so funny people say that these days when a few years ago nurse was meta. I was glad to see her gutted.
How was she gutted? I just got back in the game and was playing years ago
-
Yeah from what I've gathered Nancy has some good perks, plague, and Cheryl.
Are hex builds still viable or no? I know undying just changed but don't entirely get how its useful
-
Id also say I respect less played killers as well since they are a lot more rare to come by like Twins, Wraith, and Demo.
-
Really any of the "weaker" killers just because I like it when people stick to what they like regardless of what tier lists say or they pick someone who is considered weak as a challenge. I feel the same about other games as well honestly.

Survivors should have a hard time surviving that's why it's called dead by daylight. Not bullying the killer mains.
I totally agree but its a bit overkill right now. Killers are able to hit through walls, hit through windows, negate survivor animations (for example ive had a game where I vaulted a pallet and the killer still grabbed me from the opposite side even though i finished the animation), pallets aren't very useful nor are vaulting locations. Its a rough time
-
Yeah its kind of just an issue with the challenges themselves. Some you kinda have to play stupid to get done. I finished the rift (whats available) and you some of them do kinda ruin a game unfortunately.
With that, sorry to anyone who was in a game with me that I had to do one of the idiotic challenges
-
Basically survivors hitboxes are massively messed up where killers get lots of easy hits. Survivors are also not getting the final emblem unless you survive which has messed up survivor ranks a lot. Being survivor just is super difficult right now. Thats the short way to explain some of the bigger issues
-
Okay so ill tell you what I've at least learned is newish (some might be a little old)
Ds is getting nerfed to be anti tunneling
Object of Obsession is getting changed
Twins came out and most people hate them since they aren't very interesting to people and the main strategy with them is to slug
There are a lot of bugs right now that make playing survivor very difficult especially
Maps are getting touched up some
Clown has a new bottle that gives speed to him and survivors if they enter the smoke
People complain a lot about Freddy being overpowered. Similar with spirit
A new rift started recently
Thats all I can think of that you may not have known
-
How long is a long break for you? That would help to know. I just got back in a few weeks ago after a 2 year break
-
I'll try any killer at least and ill still play against any killer but some I truly just don't like facing
Face against
1. Freddy- a lot of the issues people have with legions mending is how I feel about freddys sleep and much worse since you go to sleep so quickly and you can't avoid it. This doesn't even include his other annoyances
2. Spirit- one part due to countering feels mostly like guesswork but most of the spirit players I've played against are very huge in camping which has a little bit tained her for me
3. Plague-this is almost exclusively because of teammates being dumb and infecting everyone carelessly
Play as
1. Nurse- by the time I learn her well enough I could learn a lot of the other killers in the same time. Just too much investment for someone that has a lot of hate for
2. Pig- she just isnt very interesting to me and I get bored playing as her half the time. I hate that her traps are rng too
3. Trapper- I hate how slow the beginning of the game is with him and that his traps just dont feel that good overall
-
Id love it as well honestly
