I think people have trouble understanding the purpose of this perk. It's not supposed to be good.
It's supposed to be a hard mode when you want extra challenge.
I would be fine if it had an extra blood point modifier however as a reward for the extra challenge. That would be reasonable.
Yeah I feel like this is my main desire for it
-
My biggest beef with nurse is that she invalidates so many of the survivors defenses like pallets or loops. Im fine with a good counter killer but not one that takes away survivors primary tools and leaves them with little

no. his speed boost after uncloaking (not speed WHILE cloaked, but the speed boost you get after an uncloak for previously 1 second) was buffed by .25 seconds.
he does not uncloak faster.
Oh yeah you're right. My bad. I kinda just glanced over his buff lol
-
He did get a buff but a very minor one. He uncloaks slightly faster if i remember correctly (i think its less than a quarter second difference)
-
I mean you could just pretend it doesn't exist if ya want?
-
Wiggle itself is fine but I think some perks need changed in relation to it, mostly buffs though for the unused perks
-
At least chests open up just fine, so there's that
-
Kinda related to this but as killer the camera depth feels off sometimes especially with pallets. There are a lot of times where if I look down it looks like I'm not infront of pallet but then the pallet is thrown and I get stunned. Id hope they look into this some. It feels like every killer just as a huge gut that gets hit and I get stunned even though I'm not under the pallet. Something is off imo

I don't know what's going on.... killers hitting people from other sides of walls, people blowing gens at a higher rate... It's ridiculous
I was wondering if i was alone in feeling like gens were getting done super fast
-
I had this happen yesterday as the killer and I was super confused myself. Even as a killer I dont love it since its confusing as hell lol
-
I imagine many went down to purple in part due to rank reset and the broken emblem.
I went down 8 ranks in a day because of both.
I dont care a ton about rank but I hate getting matched with players who bad teammates
-
Yeah thats a fair point. I could honestly see this having a better shot because its not as high end as the others but you are right its probably not super likely. Residemt evil would much more likely get in as well
-
Currently id say Freddy can be even if he isn't actually overpowered (im still on the fence myself) but the fact that people dread him so much is not a good thing for the game.
Besides that id say Spirit and nurse but more so spirit as other mentioned. Both feel like you will more often lose because the player played well regardless of how well you do which is unfortunate and not great for the health of a game. Both need more counterplay options imo

I doubt it.
Until Dawn was a PS4 exclusive from 2015, that the Developers have seemingly moved on from with their new games. Sony doesn't like sharing their things. That's the big thing for me, Sony owns it. If they won't give their licenses to Nintendo, BHVR has no chance in hell.
There's also the fact that Wendigo are an existing legend, and BHVR has stated they're not too interested in making killers based on myths and urban legends. That was a long time ago, so they could've changed their minds.
The only video game representation we've got so far, Silent Hill, is a much more well known property. It's gotten movies, multiple studios have worked on it (and there was also the rumor of a Silent Hill 1 remake for PS5.) I know a lot of people consider Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 the best horror games of all time, so it makes sense why we got characters from them.
In my opinion, we're more likely to get characters from Resident Evil (eventually) and games of the like.
My main hope for it is is from the fact Bill is in from Left4Dead which only came to Xbox and pc but is now available on playstation.

Id really love Scooby doo themed cosmetic set release even if it doesn't explicitly mention scooby doo but once that heavily imply and resemble them
-
Who as in whi is Yuri?
Who is Wendigo?
Who speculated it was Wendigo?

Jason has a pretty wide wealth of abilities that are either well showcased or only shown a few times throughout the movies. There would be plenty to choose from. Powering through pallets comes to mind, mild teleportation, throwing teenagers through windows, MANY instant downs,, throwing teenagers through windows, throwing teenagers through windows...
He has a mean uppercut too
-
Have they ever given a reason why they don't have a year round version?

King of the Hill chapter.
Hank comes after you with propane and propane accessories. Every time he gets pallet stunned, he does his trademark "Gwuhuhuh".
Only if Bobby is the survivor and Hank says "Damnit Bobby" whenever he sees him
-
Seems pretty unlikely to happen due to legal battles holding it up. Its hard to imagine what he would do that isn't already done by other killers honestly.
-
I also love when a teammate was downed or on hook post-game demands you should have saved them and are a bad player because you didn't save them despite noed existing
-
Tunneling is totally fine honestly.
Proxy camping is also totally fine and makes sense to do.
Face camping im more conflicted about. I do think there should be an in-game penalty that impacts the hooked survivor. Sure the killer could likely not perform as well because 9f facecamping but the hooked survivor doesn't remotely care. I've personally been facecamped on first hook as first survivor down multiple times without being toxic. Its super frustrating having that happen after waiting 20 minutes for a game to have it essentially end in the first couple minutes. Im in the camp that the survivor on hook should somehow benefit sticking around longer on hook because they don't have any real reason to struggle if they know no one is going to save them (besides earning negligible points). I think that really ought to change especially early game but I don't know how exactly. Now, for facecamping after 5 gens done that I can totally understand and even though its frustrating, it does make sense.
-
I've always wanted them to have all survivors have a face for him since he barely has any cosmetics anyways plus it would be a fun thing unique to him
-
For a non licensed killer I could see a scarecrow type killer being interesting. One that has scarecrows mounted on the map with the killer being able to pose as a mounted scarecrow. Would be very stealth focused. Have a farmer be the survivor (which im super surprised we havent had much of a traditional farmer type character yet).
-
Yeah id be super into it and I feel like it could work well. Sam would be the best candiate for survivor since she is the most central protagonist.
Wendigo could be a high mobility stealth killer but have the downside of being unable to see survivors who aren't moving or aren't taking actions (such as gen repairs) unless you are basically touching them.
Perks could be something like
Motion sensitive- able to read from a certain range that generators are either being worked on or have some progress on them.
Cry for help- able to produce sounds similar to another survivor injured and have no terror radius for x amount of time to lure survivors towards you.
Hardened body- pallet stuns time is reduced by a percentage each stun endured on killer.
Map could either be the mines or the house (and surrounding area). Id assume not the psych ward since they already have a map like that.
Sam i don't know really as far as perks
-
Not replace them but firecrackers and such should be around outside of events.
-
For licensed the main 2 id like are
1. Resident evil - i just love the series and it feels so natural adding it especially since silent hill is in already
2. Until dawn- love the game and thematically it could fit well. Having a motion based sering killer could be very interesting and survivors from until dawn could easily fit in with dbd.

You don't wanna heal vs iri huntress thats why they probably did not heal you.
Yeah I a little bit thought that as well but was still laying to get a heal only for the sake of not having Ash make so much noise. He is soooo loud injured
-
Hard to tell here, but I'd say make hook progress meter thicker in order to see it better. Also, give killers same info as survivors for hooks. Not having that info just feels more annoying rather than strategy/memory based.
-
Yeah I totally understand being salty about it, especially with huntress not killing them. I generally try to be altruistic but when all I have is flip flop on an injured level 2 ash I'm much more reluctant especially after not getting healed.
Yeah I reported them. I basically tried to say "yeah I understand it sucks having a player not help you when you want to and it sucks having a player hide at the end but thats kinda how the game is sometimes. GG" and he then decided to throw many insults etc.
-
The cosmetic thing i personally feel more iffy about. I've had lots of lobbies where survivors just decide to match a player and they aren't survivor with friends. Its just kind of a weird thing people do sometimes.
As for names, I could a more likely scenario where people are playing swf, although I've been in a game with a player named something like Left4Food, which we didn't know each other but I found hilarious. I dont mind 2 players playing together and even 3 isn't terrible but 4 swfs can be very rough. Ill still play it though
-
I've had a lot of maps have the textures disappear like having floors and walls that are just blank. Makes it hard to go into buildings when you don't know how close things actually are of if steps even actually exist
-
Some killer match ups would be just not fun to play against as survivors
such as
Leatherface and Billy insta downs for days
Legion and oni assuming legions hits would make blood for oni
Spirit and nurse being everywhere
Clown and really any of the fast killers
Hag and pig you'll basically never get the traps off of you.
Doctor and spirit with doctor showing spirit everyone
These are just some that initially come to mind and this doesn't account for perks that would make it even less fun for survivors.
-
Yeah id love for each game to always have an obsession even if it no perks are being used for it. It adds extra depth to strategy where it keeps you guessing more on both sides which is cool
-
I never really get why people post announcing they are done playing a game (not just this game).
-
Thanks for the info. I was a little hoping that it offered something. Im not big on mobile games
-
If its my teammates fault I get hooked and they make no effort to save me as well as anyone else's ill let myself die. Mistakes happen but at least try to help resolve your mistake.
Similarly, I had a teammate and I remaining and he blatantly refused to unhook me because he found the hatch. I was on my first hook and moved to second hook and I saw the killer going towards him. My teammates was motioning for me to let myself die but I was committed to staying until killer got him. Killer downed him and hooked him then I left myself die. Sweet justice
-
-Hatch shouldn't spawn opened for last survivor, especially for games where no gens get done. It indirectly penalizes killers for doing their jobs well.
-Clown is much better than people give credit (and his new bottle was an unnecessary change, but reload speed was needed)
-spies from the shadows is a great tracking perk thats super underutilized
-Its totally acceptable to suicide hook if you wait a long time and your team makes no effort to save you or move towards you (even if killer is not facecamping)

Thread's been made many times, don't know how many to say like 3.0, 4.0, whichever. Let's restrict it to the game of DBD only please and refrain from talking about specific players/streamers/people or indirectly throwing stones at anyone
I'll go first:
- DH is more problematic and uncounterable than current DS
- Whispers is a better tracking perk than BBQ
Honestly, I think most people would agree BBQ is not as good of a tracking perk but bonus bloodpoints is what people like about it.
-
Although I do care being matched up with newer players who are too scared to help teammates
-
I dont necessarily care a ton about rank honestly but this is kinda ridiculous lol
-
Although an offering,, Id throw in ebony mori since it so expensive and pretty underwhelming now since nerf.
Spare part is awesome. You can still use the tool kit to sabotage hooks until you want to use the spare part as well (if you leave a tiny bit of the kit left)
-
Bullshirt is a code that you can enter for a free cosmetic
-
What do you mean exactly in save bloodpoints? I'm just confused on how the tomes work really
-
Adding onto this
Had a game on seamp wear i ran into an invisible wall head on as David king
-
No mither, selfcare, up the ante, slippery meat
-
Can projectiles still go in it at least?
-
Its easy to find on YouTube btw
-
Also, unless they adjusted Whispers, it would previously trigger if you are on a map with 2 floors so a map like silent hills would make the perk borderline useless since you wouldn't know of they are above or below you
