  • I imagine its mostly due to Legion being annoying rather than threatening if I had to guess

    Counted 24 in a KYF

Whats the average number of other maps?

  • I would break a pallet and look up to the survivor already waiting for me at another pallet. Very frustrating. I generally don't mind pallets and am more of a survivor player but its rough as killer. Its a shame because the map would otherwise potentially be my favorite map

  • My major critique of the new hud would be the hook meters are ungodly small. Those need to be enlarged for sure. The generators would be better off at the bottom but thats not a big deal.

  • Some other issues. Never happened prior to today

Alright first game as survivor i had a hillbilly saw through a wall and my camera is drifting/lagging, my skill fails are delayed every time, and I can't do struggle and instant fail.

  • Alright first game as survivor i had a hillbilly saw through a wall and my camera is drifting/lagging, my skill fails are delayed every time, and I can't do struggle and instant fail.

  • In largely okay with it but would like generators placed at bottom of screen. Its not terrible and I largely like it but being at top feels unnecessary. Overall I love it but just want a minor change

  • Now survivors know what its like as killer 95% of the time.

I havent played the update yet but I imagine its not nearly as bad as most are letting on

  • Who is that?

  • Yes. Its survivor teams fault they didn't account for it.

I kinda view noed as a weaker key for killers since both take effect later into the game but you can stop both despite it being difficult. Its a valid strategy just as much as using keys to leave early. Both keys and noed can be avoided if you are tactful enough (although keys are easier to use since it doesnt occupy a perk slot and you can find them)

  • I'm inclined to think it should be at least less survivor favored than it currently is. Killers can get easily bullied by teams and survivors have way more tools to counter killers while killers don't have a whole lot which is understandable to a degree but killers need more. If the game made being killer more enjoyable waiting for games would be a lot shorter imo. The game shouldn't be killers wrecking teams left and right but killers can often feel pretty weak and miserable to play as

  • I feel like the facecamped survivor should get a slow benefit with killer remaining in radius like an increase in luck on hook and it grows based on distance and time

  • Personally I just take the responsibility of doing bones if its a killer i think has a high probability of using noed or if I know they have a totem active. I dont mind it that much. I typically run small game just to find them a lot easier. Doing bones with that is fine for me personally

  • Leatherface i often just refer to as leather daddy. Lol

  • Yeah it sounds like it

  • As far as what sounds best id recommend trying to get someone for each general playstyle (most can fall into 2 categories) for variety sake and have a few mains. so id put in categories as:

High mobility (spirit, nurse, Legion, demogorgon)

Stealth (wraith, Ghostface, pig, myers )

    Projectile heavy (clown, huntress. Deathstalker)

    Charge character (hillBilly, oni, blight)

Area of effect (leatherface, doctor, plague)

Trap (Hag, Freddy, Trapper, pyramid head, Twins (im guessing. Never played them at all so idk))

Maybe pick a few categories that sound good. From each what I've seen most people consider the most interesting (not necessarily the strongest of each) to least

Moblity- nurse (hard), spirit (i like her the most), Legion if you like a challenge, demo least fun to me

Stealth-myers, pig, Ghostface (possibly the strongest of the bunch imo), wraith (least interesting to me among almost all killers)

Projectile clown (one of my favorites), huntress (very rewarding if you can be good but can be frustrating to use when you miss), deathstalker (a lot of people think he's too slow)

Charge- blight (most unique of the 3), oni (feels more rewarding than hillbilly), hillbilly (just a less interesting oni but potentially better still)

Area of effect- doctor (one of the most unique killers), Plague (you could argue she is more projectile than area of effect), leatherface (somewhat a charge character but his sweeping attacks make him somewhat aoe. I use him a lot but he is kinda straightforward)

Trap- Hag (also can have high mobility), pyramid head (also ranged, very fun to me personally especially with alternate hook and built in mori), Freddy (if you just like winning a lot right now lol), Trapper, and maybe twins.

    Hopefully thats all helpful

  • Id potentially pick nurse since she greatly invalidates most survivors typical strategies.

As far as strictly fun goes I'd say either wraith or spirit since their powers are nearly identical with slight differences

  • Nea. She is easily the ugliest looking character in the game.

  • The silent hill map is my least favorite tbh. It feels like it takes for forever to go up stairs and its just not fun as either side to me

  • I like the idea but balance would be super awful.

  • As someone who plays about 50/50 survivors overall have it much easier. Killers have certain things that really mess things up for survivors but survivors have a lot more options honestly and more debilitating in the right hands

    @IWasLeft2Die

Yep, but according to many on here the person on the hook should just suck it up and be glad his/her team were able to fix gens (if barely).

I am currently working on a different thread with some ideas. One of them including a built-in idea for the hooked survivor forced to play the role of sacrificial lamb from the moment they go on first hook.

Yeah I know thats the general feel which i get. I just want there to kinds be something for the survivor on hook to either do or benefit from. Its terrible having a 20 minute wait for a game to start, you get hooked early on and die from a camping killer. Super frustrating. Im glad my team benefits but I wish it just didn't feel like a waste of time

  • Resident evil would be a good choice and id be a little surprised 8f they don't come in either this or the next chapter since they have a lot going for them this year.

At least one of the next 2 chapters will be licensed (possibly both but unlikely).

A werewolf or scarecrow type killer would fit in pretty well

  • What about the Scranton Strangler???

  • Id say he is likely the best stealth killer and most versatile stealth killer, but he is not OP. He is very good but he has a good amount if counterplay available

  • I like Alien a lot but don't feel like it would fit as well. Predator I think fits much more easily honestly. The rest I agree with.

  • I just dont understand the desire for a FNAF chapter.

could go a few ways to make it better

    1. have it effect all gens on the map
    2. have it effect 3 consistant gens like the closest or the farthest that have progress
    3. have a shorter cooldown
    4. have a 5% regression applied to kicked gens immediately (doesn't stack with pop)
    5. but mainly have it not go on cooldown when it does nothing

any of these would make it a much more usable perk

    1. That would honestly make it a borderline must have perk for generator suppression. Id have fun with it for sure but it would likely be too good for a lot of people.

Definitely should be affect 3 generators with some progress, doesn't make sense to affect on generators with 0 progress.

Imagine have a perk with a cooldown high and explode generators but nobody repair these gens... xD

Such a high cost for something that could easily do nothing lol and even if it triggers its not necessarily amazing either

  • I havent seen demos, Ghostface, or onis but clowns is pretty amazing

  • My biggest issue is the random generator part since it can trigger on generators not even worked out. If it only triggered on 3 random progressed generators it would be a lot better even without changing the cooldown

  • No. If a survivor team knows this is the case they can seperate and each work on them slowly with the forth one helping out another. Its slow but can work. The 4th one could possibly go item hunting to see if they can find toolboxes or a flashlight to help out as well

  • I'm honestly a little less inclined to play him. I played him a lot 2 years ago and took a break from dbd. I just got back and tried him and he felt super slow. This new rework doesn't seem like a way to properly address his issues and it actually causes more problems (such as new bottles also buffing survivors, new bottles can make old bottle gas disappear, and if the new bottles reduces his old bottle inventory). His new bottles have too many downsides for what they are imo. Clown was my main back in the day but I think these changes hinder him a lot more than help him. He gets some buffs more new weaknesses and neutral changes overall

  • His sleep effect is too fast imo. I felt like when I played a game against him that I may as well have been asleep the entire time since id regain it before I could do half a gen (atleast felt that way). His teleport to gens feels a bit too fast as well.

  • His rework doesn't seem to be that beneficial to him honestly especially since bottles can negate his slow effect and survivors can benefit from the new bottle. Clowns new bottle shouldn't effect survivors for one but I'd possibly be okay with then still canceling each other. I initially feel like there is little reason for me to use the new bottles very much

  • My personal 5

    1. Never using a flashlight correctly

    - i can rarely get use out of it outside of when a killer is breaking a pallet.

    2. Timing dead hard incorrectly

    - typically i time it too early and waste it

    3. Get body blocked by a teammate

    - this is mostly a teammate problem I think but ive had a lot of teammates panic while I'm being chased by killer and the cut me off and I get stuck with the killer downing me due to bumping into teammate

    4. Failing to get away with a risky unhook

    - another mostly teammate issue but I think I could do better to shake a killer who is still nearby when I get unhooked

    5. Failing to shake off a killer with few pallets around

    - i need to better practice how to confuse a killer when I dont have pallets to help with

M1 means basic attack. So M1-killer are killer which can only use basic attacks to down survivor. For example leatherface has his chainsaw, so he is not a m1-killer.

    Gotcha, thanks for the clarification.

"They would likely want them all from the same game though."

Not necessarily, Pyramid Head is from Silent Hill 2 and Cheryl is from the first game.

Ah yeah thats true. Im not as familiar with silent hill. Thats good to know though

So, I hate to be that guy but ill tell you the same argument I've told people who didn't want Sam and Dean form supernatural, or characters from the walking dead, etc. Because they would fight the killer. The entity buffs the absolute ######### out of the killers, where the survivors cant do much besides slapping them with a wooden pallet or blinding them, and that's about it. We already have survivors like David King, Bill Overbeck, and others that would most definitely fight the killers, and lose quite fast. It is the reason why a small teenager like Susie can pick up a grown man, because the entity made her extremely strong. So with Leon, Chris and the others you mentioned, they would face the same situation. They would probably attempt to fight the killers at first, and then quickly realize they cant do anything against them.

I could be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that they want to pick survivors who would not be naturally inclined to fight back. I could be wrong but I could totally see someone like Marcus Fenix, Master Chief, etc would definetly not be in because of their fighting (and you know the many other obvious reasons they wouldn't of course). I kind of think they would pick someone a little less popular too since that's seemed to be mostly the case for licensed survivors so far outside of Laurie strode. All of the other licensed survivors in chapters are not the most popular survivors in their respective series (such as Nancy for Nightmare on Elm Street). I highly doubt Chris while Leon feels more likely out of the two for having more survival background while Chris is more guns blazing type guy. Pretty much anyone else could work. Ada would be interesting to me

  • Yeah id be okay with oppression if it wasn't random and it only triggered on gens with progress. You could have it go off on 3 dead gens which is super dumb

  • Camping is the worst of the 2 but especially for the survivor on hook. I kind of feel like survivors on hook should get some sort of buff if they are on hook while killer camps (such as if killer remains in radius of hook you go up a percentage of luck per second killer remains in radius or something like that). Borrowed time exists which is a good counter but there ought to be something for the hooked survivor even if its minor imo

I can't even get over the fact of how much A binding of Kin was a complete ######### show. I'm sorry but the amount of quality put into that thing was extremely lacking, plus it doesn't help its the most hated chapter so far.

It doesnt help that the survivor and killer have almost nothing to offer thats worth using

  • I'm more frustrated that the last survivor gets an opened hatch regardless of gens completed. Before 2 gens had to be done at least before hatch would automatically open. It definitelyencouraged players to save teammates more. Now I feel like it not only takes away a killers earned advantage by rewarding a losing survivor but it also gives more incentive to let teammates die early on. I've had plenty of games where I'd stop survivors doing any gens and the last one let's his teammates die so that the hatch opens. Super frustrating imo. Play as a team and lose as a team early on imo

  • 1. Trying out a killer before level him up past 20.

    - i tried this with nurse and it was not a good time as a level 3 nurse on console.

    2. Not slugging one of the last 2 survivors so that the last one doesn't get hatch

    - I've had a lot of games where survivors got no gens done so I assume they don't get an open hatch but I forget that it doesnt work that way anymore (I took a break from dbd for a couple years)

    3. Start searching for a game before A. I actually pick the killer I wanted or B. I look at my killers perks which most are old out of date builds

    - I've had a lot of games where I accidentally get locked into a level 1-5 killer or I use a level 50 killer with perks that just aren't that good now or i had a weird build I never changed

    4. Losing slugged survivors

    - those SOBS crawling and just bleeding out or escape still

    5. Forgetting to look away from flashlights like an idiot

    - this has only happened twice but I have forgotten i can look away and I dont have to just take being blinded.

  • Freddy has been the only killer that has a reach I just can never tell. There have been plenty of times I thought I was far away ro avoid a hit but then I'm wrong. Other than that hits seem okay outside of possibly some vaults

  • Id be somewhat surprised if resident evil never became a part of dbd. I love the series and it could easily fit into the game. Resident evil is one of the more likely series to allow characters in other games so thats cool.

With that said, I could see a lot of other options be preferred for dbd. Im getting re8 but I'd much rather have someone like mrx, nemesis, Birkin, various options from re4, or Wesker. Survivor i would honestly prefer not having someone like Leon or Chris or Jill since they would definetly fight the killer. Maybe someone like Rebecca chambers, Ethan Winters (although probably not him), or Sherry Birkin would be better candidates. They would likely want them all from the same game though.

It's just a poorly designed perk that has no proper use outside of using it for the memes. Hopefully it'll get a rework soon.

Monstrous shrine feels like the killer equivalent to me. Id love for both to be revisited and made worth using (although monstrous shrine has slightly more use)

  • I had a game the other day that right after spawning a survivor threw a pallet down and crouched in the corner. Leatherface downed me since our room had one entrance. I got hooked and another survivor unhooked me immediately after leatherfave hooked me without borrowed time. I got hooked again and didn't fight it. All this happened in the first 30 seconds of the game.

Granted I totally agree people shouldn't just give up but situations like this I totally understand.

  • I just got back into the game so take this for what its worth.

I get more annoyed with freddy and spirit than someone like doctor because doctor I feel like there is a lot more options for me to counter whereas freddy especially I feel like I dont have a ton I can do to counter him specifically. Doctor I may lose to slightly more but I feel like I lost because I misplayed while freddy I attribute a win against him as a bad freddy player and not that I was especially good or I did something crucial. Similar with spirit as well.

  • Id maybe include things like decreased gains from effects like doctors insanity etc.

Monstrous shrine and no mother need looked at the most imo
