This map in some ways is one of the best survivor maps (not overall but certain qualities its the best). It has so much stuff to hide behind/in its pretty insane. This map requires much more stealth as a survivor which is nice imo. Yes it feels smaller and gens are closer but you have lots of options to hide

I had to vote no, because there are many reasons to be afk and while it is true that being afk will give an advantage to the killer, punish afk with something too strong might be too much. This is because something might happen that forces you to be afk and when you come back you have a penalty that you couldn't avoid because whatever happened and forced you to not start playing right away.
Yeah that i can get. The way that I feel about it though is even if something comes up, it still screws over your team a lot. I can understand not a crazy penalty but something should happen imo (maybe the game kicks after so long and you get the standard penalty?)
Things come up and thats fine but I'm also just not okay with teammates getting screwed over regularly

Even doing all missions won't give enough fragments to get close to lv70, you'd still need to grind enough exp worthy of an entire dedication level just to reach that point. That's simply obscene.
Granted this is my first rift but you can do all the challenges and get it pretty easily imo. I did all of the first challenges and some of these ones and have played a decent bit (not a crazy amount) and am at about 27 already and we just finished a quarter of rift time. It seems definetly doable to me. I've had many days I dont play and a lot of days I dont play much (with the odd day I'm on for a few hours)
-
Anyone else getting some Katy perry/Lady Gaga vibes from the hair and the music references?
No way its them though
-
Yeah totem challenges are rough, especially that many. I feel bad for teammates when a lot fo challenges actively screw over your team like that, the glyphs, or saboing hooks. I would like them to rethink the challenges. A lot of the killer ones are similarly bad as well.

I hate both. But I am more of a carrot than a stick person. I also don't believe in a regulating everything a person does or says. Especially in a video game.
Yeah I can see that. I agree over regulation is not cool but feel like games with opposing sides kinda need more regulation than others. I think I could be content if the survivors who got screwed by the survivor got something though.
I had a game against a demo the other day and we had 2 afk players. He had no mercy and killer me and the other active player first. I was honestly surprised there wasn't any mercy at all lol
Id also care far less if wait times were much shorter. Waiting 15 minutes to get hosed by afk players just sucks

Yeah, but Freddy is another chapter that completely went against the lore and physics of Freddy's dream realm so he could be buffed. That's the only gripe I have with the changes tbh.
Yeah I can agree with that. I also hate that they didn't pick Nancy as the survivor rather than Quentin (who i honestly don't remember in the movies and I've seen all of them).
Ghostface was cool but I wish got a survivor. Ash I wish had a deadite as well. Saws survivor was okay but id rather have one of the guys from the first movie. Pyramid head the main character in silent hill 2 would have been a better choice.

I don't even think it would work without completely disobeying the lore and physics of the FNAF universe. If you look at an animatronic, they can't move. 4 survs; 4 animatronics. The killer couldn't do anything. FNAF wasn't particularly interesting anyway. Aside from Stranger Things, it seems the licensed chapters have just gotten worse, reaching an all-time low with A Nightmare On Elm Street.
Although I dont love the implementation of it, I do like freddy being in Halloween is the best imo. Stranger things and saw just dont fit really to me
-
If there was a way to actually monitor intentional or unintentional dcs then I'd say no dc penalty for accidental or something outside of your control.
Intentional dc should get a harsher penalty imo. People need to learn to not throw a fit about losing on either side. Non dced players on a game need more rewards as well
Since ots nearly impossible to monitor which way it is id say it should mostly stay the same but increase penalties quitting games rather than cutting internet
-
I hate that hooks are outside of your control and they effect your emblems more than kills. I've had a number of games I'm on the other side of the map after I hook a survivor and the team never saves the hooked survivor. I feel bad for the survivor honestly lol
From a scoring standpoint hooks are objectively more important since they score you more than kills (which is dumb imo). But kills are more important to me personally since they are both more interesting and more in my control

Piggy is definitely my favorite. I’ve watched the first 3 movies of the Saw series and I’m loving it.
As far as the movies go, I've seen all but Spiral (which I dont think is out yet) and maybe the newest one.
In short, largely they are good. They get a little over the top on kills. I still watched them and enjoyed them but they kinda got rediculous. The first 3 were the best imo
-
For the most part, yes. I will say that killers should get hook info on survivors. It wouldn't clutter the hud, it isn't an advantage to the killer really, and the knowledge doesn't make a killer tunnel more. As is keeping track feels kind of an unnecessary annoyance especially since it already keeps track somewhat.
Other than the hooks thing, it looks great! (Maybe add totem info but I feel less strongly about that)

That is true. Almost every game in the franchise was composed of having very little in terms of new gameplay, and more often than not, they had a strategy that worked 100% of the time even if RNG was involved. The exceptions to those to would be FNaF1, and Pizzaria simulator (Edit, and Sister Location, but that's a whole different story). Those had stategies that would require you to change your play style over the course of the game. There wasn't one working strategy. I think the killer would be interesting, anyways, and I understand why people don't or wouldn't want it.
Yeah this is what kinda has me torn. On the one hand I think the lore sounds interesting but the game itself isn't that good to me. It would feel like they sold out to the younger crowd just to put fnaf in. Id rather them just do their own thing though and it could totally be fine as a similar idea. I could also see them adding a map similar to it as well
-
Killer is a lot worse honestly. I've had games where I gst all kills and still depip. Very frustrating.
-
Yeah ive gotten so much hatemail as "camping" as the killer where its unwarranted. My most 2 recent incidents were
1. I hooked a survivor and 2 survivors were within 5 meters of the hook and no gens done. Id hit one and switch to the other and eventually downed both. Got messages that I was camper. I explained why would I leave hook when most of the team is at the hook and you guys won't leave. One survivor eventually agreed what I did made sense. It was nice to see
2. Freddy's map I hooked a survivor in the school basement. As I would walk upstairs id see scratch marks going downstairs. Got 3k because I couldn't even leave the school.
I agree general camping sucks but a lot of survivors need to understand what camping actually is and know that what they may perceive as camping just isnt the case.
In short, Yeah camping sucks but don't always assume a killer is actually camping because they got to a hook fast or that they defend a hook against multiple people

I dont even call this a rework it was just a minor quality buff. At least I expected to have 8 bottles in total like 4 yellows and 4 purples but no.
Yeah rework is overly generous of a term for what they did
-
As survivor its also somewhat boring to just have pallets everywhere. Not very hard to delay the killer and doesn't take much skill. I've only had issues with wall once.
As killer, it can be borderline unplayable frankly
-
I really doubt its fnaf and I honestly hope its not
-
Pipping is a technically a win unfortunately. The scoring for pipping is heavily flawed for killer honestly. I've had plenty of games where I'd get a 4k and depip. Killer emblems need looked at
A 3k with hatch should be considered a win though. Number of hooks i don't like because its outside your control as killer
Survivor- piping a win
-
Myers would destroy wraith. Myers could honestly take on most of the killers fairly easily without putting too much thought into it.
High damage output (in game has one kit kills so let's assume he's super strong)
About as tanky as you can get (guy has survived a lot of bullets alone, not including everything else)

The game rework was a survivor nerf too. It was previously one of the best stealth maps for survivors, you could juke the killer in the lower levels till chrismas if thats your playstyle (its mine for sure). With the rework, a lot of the line-of-sight blockers are gone, the stairs are see-through. They made that up with some pallets, but i do belive the map rework was a survivor nerf too.
This just isn't true. Stairs are the only "nerf" for survivors but even that hardly qualifies as a nerf when there aren't a ton of stairs anyways. Id much rather have a little more visibility given to killer as survivor (which survivor also technically benefits since they can see killer too) than be a killer with dozens of pallets. The game map is just not fun as killer and only a handful of killers can overcome the pallets (outside of playing against bad survivors)

Tbh i havent played demo but I really love pyramid head. He is very fun to me and does require some skill but he isn't that hard to learn imo. Plus he is cheaper dlc and Cheryl has a little more useful perks imo as well. Neither demo nor pyramid have the most amazing perks in themselves honestly
-
It could be a cool perk idea (to either remove it under certain conditions temporarily or not have it all game). That could be a really cool idea.
But it should stay in general. I could see a lot of people get much more frustrated and complain that killers shouldn't see them. Just not worth it honestly
-
Its necessary so that I can maximize my judiths tombstone against survivors who think I dont know what the hell im doing and neglect to do gens. It takes forever to do but is really hilarious.

It's actually no really survivor sided at all.
Red rank killers have (or had the last time I checked) a 65% win rate. Just because there are more survivors than there are killers, both figurtively and technically, doesn't mean that they are overpowered.
Unless you can find actual verified statistics that say that the game is survivor sided, please don't rant about how it is.
Here is a link to Peanits twitter, where he posted the pick and win rates for every killer in the game back in October of last year (Needs updating, obviously, but this is evidence of the win rate for killers) Every killer but 1 (Nurse) had a rating of 50% or higher, making most killers balanced, but a lot of which aren't balanced at all.
https://twitter.com/Peanits_BHVR/status/1319371378248790017/photo/1
You talking to me about the rant? I just said a brief sentence about it and moved on. I dont feel nearly as strong as most people.
I consider the game overall and not just red ranks. I would like to know more specifics of those stats (which admittedly is nearly impossible to calculate). I started to write out all the different factors but it got too cumbersome. Basically I want to know the averages not based on number of games played but the average on win rates across players. The same for killers sk it doesnt weigh down data based upon players who play the more (which are often the best players)
-
His new bottle isn't what he needed. I don't think he is as bad as people say he is. He needed something but the bottle isn't what he needed

As a killer I've actually opened gates just to get people to make their choice.
Make your play or get the hell out, clock is ticking, your friend is dying. We're in overtime baby.
Killers can open gates?
-
If noed is active then I bounce pretty quickly.
Otherwise I generally try to save my team unless killer is camping or if its a killer I dont have much of a chance escaping.
People can leave whenever but I hate it when I save a survivor with a couple players and they all abandon me on hook even though I took a risk to save them with their friends
If its a player hooked that has actively avoided helping me i won't save them either
If it was an overall easy game im much more likely to take risks
-
Id love if the glitches/bugs in game and the weird logo was intentional and hinting towards a hacking killer.
Obviously this isnt the case but It would be hilarious and I would totally stop caring about the bugs lol
-
In some ways I liked it but I hated that he was so slow to interact with people
-
Like others mentioned, the game is survivor favored but still not impossible to do well in.
If you want to just learn some basics for a bit id say try wraith or even Bubba
If you want a more effective killer who has traps id recommend either freddy or pyramid head. Freddy is solid and will be getting a nerf eventually. Pyramid head has a lot of utility and if you can learn him you can use a lot of that knowledge for other killers well (other than high mobility killers). He has taught me a lot on how to use a wide range of killers and I just like him a lot.
Or just stick with whoever you want and work towards getting good teachables for your killer. Trapper is considered one of the weaker killers just so you know. I dont care for him myself either. Maybe even try out a killer of a totally different style to freshen things up for you such as go for a ranged killer rather than a trap based one
Hopefully this is all helpful
-
I'm pretty torn honestly since I got back into the game
1. Pyramid Head- he just has basically everything I want in a killer. A mori, a solution to ds, interesting traps, and a solid range attack that can really mess up survivors
2. Myers- his stalking is pretty fun and I like surprising survivors with tombstones
3. Clown- I like his music, laugh, and his ability is pretty interesting (although I dont like his new bottle)
4. Bubba- chainsaws are fun
5. Im still trying to figure out (feel free to offer suggestions. Im on console) i know its not blight or nurse or pig though
-
Both are wrong. I dont think it actually teaches them anything not saving them but it only frustrates them and kinda screws you over in the game honestly

Meh, agree to disagree
I just didn't find the games scary at all, gameplay was very basic, and it was pretty boring to me. The background lore sounds cool and thematically largely sounds good but its just not a fun game series to me.
This isn't intended to ######### on what other people like of course. Glad some people find enjoyment out of it. I just dont see it as anything special myself

Mhmm, Scott is also a gigantic troll and has gone back on his word QUITE a few times.
I just dont get why people like fnaf so much. Its just not good.
-
Pyramid has basically everything you want in a killer in his basekit (a cool mori, a good definesive ability, and counters to ds. I love him and find him the most interesting killer
Plus Cheryl has some great perks too
-
I just could never get into fnaf. It felt very overhyped to me and boring. Id rather almost any other horror series in over it tbh. Just wasn't scary and more annoying than anything
-
Not gonna lie, if the bugs (including the ones in game) were somewhat intentional as hinting to the next killer i wouldn't even be mad. Id be impressed and kinda find it amazing if the new killer was the cause.
Obviously this isn't the case though

I'm heavily considering clown. I did use him a long time ago but I already have the Santa skin. But mr puddles is awesome....
