ive been suffering through a lot of the changes so if you get confused about smth or want some advice hmu and ill try to help haha
Lol thanks will do. We'll id you can think of anything noteworthy that I should know since shortly after Legion released feel free to throw it out there. I'm still learning a lot, like rifts are a thing which was a nice thing to find coming back although I'm bummed I missed out on stuff on each rift

Using spine chill, fixated and sprint burst is really strong stealth combo if you know how to use it properly, if you tap the run button to activate sprint burst, you actually 'walk' or jog alot faster without leaving scratchmarks and make quite a distance, especially if you get lucky with map/ tile, goes really well with lightweight or calm spirit, I'm surprised I haven't seen more people using it that way.
I've really wanted to try out dance with me, lithe, fixated, and maybe red herring just to see if it can be a good time waster set up against killer

oh god dont remind me of those time im getting nostalgic
Lol and to come back when freddy was very weak and now he is among the best killers also caught me off guard. Things have definetly changed a lot and most of my old builds don't hold up anymore lol
-
Spies from the shadows is a great perk especially for chases since you'll get cues on where survivors are running off to and most survivors don't think about the crows a lot especially during and after a chase.
Tinkerer, although isn't a chase perk, is good at giving you direction on where survivors are and if you pay attention you can tell what areas of the map survivors are staying mostly
-
Interesting. That's helpful to know. Thanks for the info.
Yeah its weird coming back and having that and self care not used nearly as much. I do miss old hex ruin and remember me honestly. Good times
-
You should check out Gideon meqt plant if you think these pallet spawns are interesting
-
You don't unless you have lightborn.
-
Yeah I just starting to not have much fun as killer anymore. Even getting a 4k doesn't feel that exciting if it makes you feel like you are grinding your face against a cheese grater. I just got back in the game again after a 2 year break and am already considering giving it another break after a month back
-
Killer is getting really frustrating. So many times that I feel like there isn't a whole lot I can do about things like body blocking, flashlights nearly instantly blinding me, etc. I've historically enjoyed both but killer is just starting to not be fun.

I did it with the perks Decisive Strike, Unbreakable, Empathy, For The People. I took in a yellow medkit with Butterfly Tape + Bandages and followed someone injured around until they went down. I instantly healed them up with FTP then ran away as the killer promptly downed them again. Took me 2 attempts with this build.
I used empathy, unbreakable, botany knowledge, and tenacity.
-
What I want (although I dont expect)
Killer
- perk that affects all killer belongings (totems too) and increases the durability of each (takes longer to disarm, destroy, etc).
-another basement based perk (maybe basement hooked survivors auras aren't revealed to survivors)
-perk that causes a couple random pallets at start of game to have effects for the match (something like deepwounds) when vaulted by survivor. Survivors won't know until they vault
-perk that allows killer to pin a downed survivor to a spot for 3 seconds.
Survivor
-perk that allows chests to have two items
-perk that allows survivor to have increased luck and borrowed time effects against killers who are facecamping you. Can be triggered on any hook phase
- perk that allows the survivor to put up one or two breakable walls on a map
- perk that increasing altruistic activity speed and offers a good BP bonus (sort of a BBQ and chili equivalent for survivors)
-
Depends. If they aren't super toxic I'll just have fun with them (like hide and run away from them).
If they are super toxic ill tunnel facecamp one of them.
-
Don't ban perks
Ban a few of them from swf though.
-
The only argument I've heard is that it would encourage tunneling, which I think is a bad reason. Killers will tunnel with or without hook counters. It takes no skill to remember hooks but is an unnecessary annoyance imo

Unless you can make me good at Nurse, I don't think you can help much with Chain Combo. Nurse is really tough to use on Console.
For anyone who hasn't done Item of Interest yet, I strongly suggest bringing a Firecracker. They count as a Very Rare or better item. I did not know this, and was disappointing when I found a firecracker instead of a purple item or better. I escaped with it, only to find that it counted.
You could find survivors who would be willing to let you get it. Just be non aggressive at the beginning and they may let you

How on earth are you at 38. :') I'm at like... 18, and I've been playing every day. Fml lol.
Probably because I did all the challenges? I play most days and some days I'll just play a single game while others I play a couple hours.
-
Survivor- "man why did camp so much?"
Me: "well hatch is right by the hook, exit gates is right behind me, and two of the remaining 3 survivors are within 3meters of the hook. Sorry I dont like to give free unhooks and exits."
So dumb
For killer i haven't gotten much. Although I remember reading not long ago that someone wanted pyramid head to get a major buff. That was pretty hilarious

I keep trying the thorough destruction challenge (damage 10 gens/pallets) and despite keeping tracking and kicking gens plenty of times and keeping count, it’s still not giving me that challenge. I don’t know what to do. I’m a survivor main so I don’t have a huge amount of perks to work with for killers. Any tips? Is this challenge bugged?
That's strange. I've not had issues myself. I guess my main suggestion would be use someone like hillbilly who has a good gen perk (tinkerer). Focus gen when you get to them and actively prolong chases so more pallets get dropped and break the pallets

I have all of the killer challenges done except the Nurse's double blink hit challenge.
Why they decided to make a tome based off the hardest, buggiest killer in the game is beyond me.
Yeah I wouldn't mind it if her challenges weren't so difficult in themselves honestly.

I like the idea of clown getting jack in the box traps that have addons to change the effects of the traps (plus it would reference the pop goes the weasel icon). Traps could either pop out and hit a survivor, release an effect like his bottles, or just be a temporary barrier) They would greatly help his map pressure and make his chases more interesting. Take away antidote

Franklin's does NOT solve the key problem. The keybearer runs behind the tiny L wall in the corner, tells the entire team in Discord where it is, and then sets it on the ground.
Your Franklin's is now useless, unless you are camping the hatch.
Honestly no matter what is done to the game there will always be some sort counterplay against killers that can't be avoided. Killers just have to accept there will be things that they can't do much about against swf teams (like someone running OoO and telling their team where the killer is the entire game). It sucks but thqts just how it is. Killers need be given more to have fun even against swf teams because 96% swf games are just not fun as killer
-
I'm expecting/hoping one or two perks pretty useful perks, 3 or 4 that can be used in niche builds, and the rest just be bad.
I expect the killer to release and either require a major buff or nerf shortly after release.
I expect the killer be more likable than twins
-
Imo BT should have a weaker equivalent as basekit (like 2 or 3 seconds) and BT should not be active near exit gates. Very frustrating as killer that has a survivor on hook by a gate and there is basically a free unhook and not much you can do about it

Just copy-pasted this from a comment in a different thread:
"1: If they're all on the same platform, lobby dodge.
2: Keys + Map + Flashlights, or any combination of which, lobby dodge
3: Suspicious amount of flashlights? That's a lobby dodge.
4: Check their profiles if possible. If they have someone in their friends list in the lobby with them, dodge."
The very least they can do is to hide the names.
I've only heard of people dodging because of keys and survivors used. The rest just aren't very common reasons people dodge. Sure some dodge because of that but I doubt it's very common because of people being on the same system, some people have flashlights, or people would bother checking friends lists

Mate literally all you need to do on gideon is run from pallet to pallet and camp them or throw them down instantly while the others do gens. If you're consistently dying to low tier killers on this map there are some fundamental issues with your survivor gameplay.
I would also like to know what they mean by a "win". I have yet to see a killer 4k on the map (not that they should super regularly or anything but at least once). I can only think of one 3k game. I also doubt killer pip very often on the map since chases alone kill them on that emblem and that's not including things like gens getting done very quickly due to chasing for forever as well as inability to hook survivors

unless the Backyardigans involve child murder and experimentation as well as cults now this analogy really doesn't work, but aside from that you're pretty much right on the money
To me it more feels like the company is selling out to what is popular regardless of how well it can be implemented. It would make me even less confident that the company has passion for the game and more money focused

The games really aren't the selling point imo. The lore is great, its like a sci-fi horror.
And that I can understand to a degree. I honestly would like them to relaunch the series and change up the gameplay.

They didn't ruin gideon for me as a solo survivor.
They ruined Gideon for both killer and survivor imo.
Artisically it's probably the best looking map
Gamplqy is boring on both sides now. Killer has pallets for days they can't do much about while survivor would obviously use pallets over and over but it gets boring (and you'll most likely survive on it). Its just not a fun map to play on either side. Frustrating for killer and repetitive for survivor
-
I'm inclined to think we will get at least something today. Not sure if it will be a whole lot. Ptb tomorrow is my guess.
-
No idea what would be a realistic value though. Maybe like 3k per perk per game? That would give you about 12k more in a game which sounds about right to me. Obviously I'd rather have like 5k each but I doubt we would ever get that much

That's true, you didn't mention the new chapter.
I am still very tired of seeing the words "FNAF" or "Springtrap" every time a new chapter comes out.
Why do people specifically mention springtrap exvlusively?
-
Yeah I hope they would implement something like this since it would give more life to the game encouraging more diversity in playstyle and would be a great way to help reduce the grind that a lot of people hate
-
@NomiNomad said:
If I see one more post about FNAF, I'm gonna lose it.
If it gets in, it gets in. If it doesn't, it doesn't.
I don't care either way. I have no particularly strong feelings for, or against.
I'm just tired of seeing these discussions every single time a new chapter comes out.

Yeah I don't want it in myself just because I hated the games (I tried the first 3 just to see if I just needed to warm up to it). Although not all fans, a lot of the fans are obnoxious about it and I just don't get the hype myself. Very mediocre gameplay. Interesting lore though.
-
Id imagine the killer would have perks related to obsession (since they always involve one person they stalk essentially), stealth perks, and/or a perk related to surprise attacks or short chases.
Survivor would mostly be gen related I think, potentially able to put up breakable doors places, and some solo play.
Gameplay based on those perks does sound interesting if they had something like that.
That's just all based on the gameplay of the games though so they could make them totally different.
I think artistically they don't fit as well honestly.
-
Some are also so dumb that you basically have to plan to lose a game in order to do (like the 10 pallet/gen hits). If I play normally I don't have chases last long enough for more than 2 pallets (plus I wouldn't waste time breaking all of them). A lot of the challenges just don't seem well thought out in all tomes while others are just goofy (scare crows, enter a locker in a chase)
-

They really are; as someone who's done every challenge thusfar to date if you need some help, let me know.
Also it's worth noting that some challenges are bugged; if there's a challenge in the older tomes (particularly tome 1) that requires basement hooks, do it on Dead Dawg Saloon
Interesting. Thanks for the tip.
And I'm glad that I have lots of opportunities for bloodpoints though. I'm trying to get all perks for ash (prestiging doesn't seem worth it to me) and try to do the same for Myers and pyramid head at least (and others hopefully)
-
While I wait for new challenges I'm going back and doing old tomes as well (which some challenges are obnoxious as hell)
-
I got it on my second gane trying running tenacity, botany knowledge, empathy, and unbreakable with a fast medkit setup. If you know you are about to be downed try to get downed near a teammate so killer continues chase with them
As do a lot of the challenges, you'll likely lose doing the challenge still. I just finished the new tome so far.
-
Wraith is one of the best to learn the basic as killer though I would t plan on using him as your main.
Dwight is probably the best starter survivor. You just stick with other players and you get things done more efficiently (and learn more)
-
@DoomedMind said:

Totally agree with you.
But he's not the only killer to have a ranged power that can hit multiple survivors at once. Plague's projectile hit through survivors, you can body block her puke.
Oh yeah thats true. I forgot about that. She's one of the killers I'm less familiar with lol. Although her damaging one does require a couple prerequisites (infect a survivor, survivor cleanses themselves, and then you drink from the infected pool) while pyramid head doe sit over and over for free.
Good catch though
-
I would hate the buff changes since it would make balance a nightmare.
I would love for them to do a weekly thing where using certain perks gave you extra bloodpoints though. It would give people reason to use other perks without messing up the balance of the game.
