The only problem I have with spine chill is cause of Gosthy and Myers. They need to look at their victims to use their power, and can't do that by moonwalking.
But even that isn't that huge of a deal. I've never had a game of all spinechill players and can only think of a couple where there were multiple players with it. I honestly run into more games without spinechill than a game with someone using it. It's fine for survivors to have some counterplay to certain killers. I kind of view it as similar to (although much more useful than) calm spirit affecting doctors usefulness. Similarly survivors have flashlights that they can use on hags traps, use flashlights on wraith cloak, etc. Just because something in the game is better against, let's say 4 (even though it's more like 2 or 3) killers even that's less than 18ish% of killers in the game where a perk is better against them. It's just not that prevalent of a problem
-
(This is all coming from someone who is on the fringe of red ranks for both sides after being gone for years)
Spirit does need a nerf honestly. She needs a minor one and I honestly don't entirely know how to best nerf her but the fact that people get upset more over her than any other killer should say something (other than Freddy of course).
Id want her bumped down to about Pyramid head level which I still think is one of the more powerful killers in the game but I think weaker killers need buffed to a similar level of usefulness.
In general the game is more survivor favored and most killers need a buff if anything. Killers do have some issues of course, spirit being one of them.
-
Ghostface is typically the killer I often see the most mercy and chill from.
Huntress is the least chill killer I see. I have never seen one have chill lol.
Id play blight if I wasnt so bad as him. I tried my first game as him and got like 1 hook and 4 hits total lol.
-
Spinechill wouldn't even hit my top 10 survivor perks. It's good but not THAT good. Spinechill even against a team with coms isn't that great. Killer can learn to moonwalk like others mentioned or position yourself that you corner them anyways as you approach a gen. If you can tell a certain survivor has it you can tunnel them as well (although I'm not worried about it myself).
NOED is a bit Overrated. If you are careful and keep distance from the killer. If noed goes off you often have enough time to open the gate and leave If you want that (a lot of killers go for the hook rather than chase others), or you could go get that specific totem, or you could try a risky save. You have a lot of options honestly. If survivors are worried about noed they can make an anti noed build.
-
It does bring me some enjoyment to cause a player to dc though, especially a killer if I feel like I'm not doing anything blatantly toxic but outplayed them. For example I had a purple rank pc nurse with high level perks dc in me after I kept out maneuvering them. Loved it
-
I often ask this question to survivors I forget are running no mither
-
Based on movies (and only on non licensed characters) it would most likely be Meg to last alive.
Most films don't have the minority characters be the final girl in them. They typically are the friends of the main character. (Not all films are like this and I don't think this should be the case either. I'm just taking note of what happens in most films)
Characters like Nea or Yui would die early on trying to fight or one 7p the killer but they would be murdered very quickly. Most movies final girl doesn't naturally have confidence and want to fight.
So that leaves just Kate, Jane. And Meg. Kate would be the best friend of the main character who leaves something behind for the main character to investigate.
Jane and Meg. Jane would be a side character that died thats hardly involved leaving us just with Meg. A lot of movies reference a characters past skills in playing a big part to their survival skills and in this case Megs running ability. She fits the mold of final girl the best
-
Could work well on certain killers like spirit and potentially freddy (with the right addons). Wraith could also work well with it
-
I'm currently using knock out, sloppy butcher, noed, and spies from the shadows on him

Those were my picks, but I would also have accepted
Territorial Imperative
Beast of Prey
Thrill of the Hunt
Hope
Premonition
This is not Happening
What about no mither?
-
Unless I'm running a stealth killer, spine chill has been little consequence to me. I run spies from the shadows and even if they sneak away they more often than not trigger a crow and I punish them for it. Spinechill really only matters much on stealth killers, and even then it's not a huge deal.
Noed is fine. Do bones before the end. If you don't want to do bones then just assume they have noed and make sure you have good escape routes (but know that they will likely catch you eventually).
-
Spirit. She just shuts down a team early on so quickly that it's pretty discouraging and frustrating. I misty take issue with the try hard players.
Freddy I mostly get annoyed how quickly you fall asleep. It feels like most of the time I wake up and get to a gen to be almost halfway asleep again anyways
-
Honestly, I'd probably die. So I pick death

Devs like BBQ because it actually promotes healthy gameplay. It encourages you to not tunnel to get stacks for bloodpoints, and encourages you to leave the hook to go after someone 40+ meters away.
Plus survivors have the exact same perk themselves (although not bonus BP).
-
Being strange and unpredictable I think can better highlight non meta perks and builds that make the game much more interesting. Id much rather someone use an uncommon build and do okay than someone dominate with the usual stuff
-
I chalk it up to sometimes people in this game are unpleasant, not the game itself. Personally I try to play in a way that won't blatantly piss off the other player(s) if not needed. Id rather keep the game fun and enjoyable than being a tryhard that makes others miserable. Of course I'll try to win but I don't like using cheeky methods to win

We are not afraid. We stand proud in the face of adversary.

You'll never scare us with your BBQ and Chili.
That confidence...got me tearing up. Very mooving
-
Moris should be available after first hook. 2 hooks makes them basically worthless
-
Only cowherds are afraid of bbq and chili
(There I merged the two topics)
-
As for some atypical answers, not to say these are amazing options
You could pebble if you are by the chest (behind the lockers at base of basement) at the other lockers. Just time it as killer is coming downstairs so they go straight to it
Fireworks if ya got them to blind
If had some killers fall for a point at a locker as if I'm ratting a player out and run like he'll after the go over to the locker
Crouch directly left of stairs in the corner. Killer sometimes neglect to check their first and you can run behind them. You may take a hit
There's a few unmentioned options.
After thinking this over I really want to try basement pebble

No, you did your duty
Heh duty

Wraith. Very boring gameplay, overly basic, most of skins are interesting, and he is out if date with having fee tools at his disposal in comparison to most killers
-
Remove perk tiers and increase BP earnings

I was looking for new killer main. Before that i was playing as Freddy, Pyramid Head and Myers. But i bored and i need new one.
I really liked Ghostface gameplay. But it also seem little hard. So i need tips from Ghostface mains and players.
Which perks i should use? Is Ghostface enough strong? Can i play as Ghostface against red rank survivors? And i saw so much Ghostfaces camping near on hanged survivor, shouid i do that too or there is any tactic i can use?
Thank you for answers =)
Hey I play the same exact mains.
This doesn't answer your original question but if youd like some thoughts from someone else looking for other killers who happens to have the same mains as you. Here are some I'm trying that play very different and why (in no particular order)
1. Hag- although pyramid head and Freddy have traps, hags approach is very different and makes closing loops a lot more fun.
2. Clown- I like having a killer with some range utility and I get more fun out of him than I do with most other ranged killers
3. Legion (although this will likely change)- im wanting to get a rushing character that can provide pressure to survivors and mess up a bunch of survivors at once.
Hopefully this is helpful. I've heard good stuff about Ghostface. I tried him once and he felt very similar to myers so I just wasn't as interested in learning him personally but will learn him at some point
-
So would a good build for him be something like thana, nurses calling, sloppy butcher, and bamboozle (or maybe bbq)
-
Hatch shouldn't spawn unless 2 gens are done.
Overly benefits survivors for doing poorly. If your team didn't get a gen done, seems like you should have been doing the objective rather than hiding.
-
You can slug thats totally fine. I did it recently against a 4 man squad of all flashlights who were swf and each had DS which was also very frustrating.
Personally I'd rather just hook them as I can mostly so I don't needlessly depip or safety pip. If someone gets off hook after first hook one way or another I'd much more likely slug that specific survivor to avoid DS and other bs.
-
Suiciding generally sucks to do and I hate it when teammates do it so easily but there are some situations I think it totally makes sense to
1. If your teammates are making no effort to get you (like all 3 stay on a gen across the map for a long time). If at least someone is heading my way then I'll stick around for a while but if people aren't being chased and not trying then I gtfo.
2. If a survivor screws you over badly (like does a very unsafe hook right after killer hooked you and they don't have borrowed time) but not all instances of being screwed over of course
3. If you already had other players dc early on or you have afk players.
4. If a survivor is helping killer
-
It can get pretty old but I just change how I kind of view the game. I view it as practicing where are good areas to search for survivors and find the most stealthy survivors. Survivors shouldn't hold a game hostage like this but I'd rather make the most of a game if possible. I mean you could also just go afk for a minute and you'll eventually hear something. Then just facecamp whoever you get. Teach them a lesson

That's not quite correct. Bamboozle will still make you vault pallets faster, but Bamboozle does not block pallets.
Good clarification. I wish it did block the pallet granted it would only benefit Legion
-
Specifically bad hag players.
For example, I had a game against hag yesterday where she oldtrap most gens and she would hit you if you triggered her trap but she wouldn't commit to any chases. She didn't down anyone and just kinda of needlessly prolonged the game. Just wasn't fun.
Huntress I also don't like largely because they seem to be the least chill players normally and i also happen to have the worst teammates against her with people cutting you off and blocking you so you get hit instead of them.
And of course all the obvious choices like spirit, nurse and Freddy (although freddy I mostly hate falling asleep almost immediately after waking up)
-
Bamboozle has been really good for me as Legion as well. A lot of survivors stare dumbfounded when a vault, especially with my power too
Does bamboozle work on pallets??
-
If I can tell tinkerer is in play I try to primarily do gens with other people so you can power through it faster and hopefully get it done before the killer gets to the gen. This is better in soloq imo.
If you aren't doing solo que I'd say all spreading is good but if you are doing solo I rarely have teammates actually know to be spreadout.
You could try to add time wasters to your build to get the killer to not focus on gens as much like using pebble or red herring (but only use red herring on unimportant gens).
-
Although i did have fun the other day getting a 4k against a bully squad because of noed against red ranks (im purple). One of the more fun games I've had in a bit
-
He needs a rework honestly. He is an old killer that has a hard time keeping up with other killers since his kit is so basic and, unfortunately, boring to a lot of people. He just needs something added to him. He is my go to recommendation for people to learn killer because he is so simple but always preface he is on the weaker side of things and not the most fun.
-
Yeah afk survivors have screwed me a lot more than dcing survivors honestly. Even if I know the survivor is afk the rest of my team likely doesn't and they get wrecked trying to save the afk survivor. This also doesn't include things like myers, oni, etc feeding on them.
-
Yeah for Legion I feel like his power should allow him to hit a survivor again (do his stun thing) but half the mend gauge on the double hit survivor.
-
@Zaytex said:
I don't play Legion so maybe I'm not experienced enough but it does feel like his power isn't too impactful against competent survivors (I.E the ones that don't waste time healing) since it might keep or get them injured very easily, but to officially down them you need to chase as a M1 Killer, which is pretty brutal on some maps and against very good survivors.
Yeah thats kinda how I feel. It feels like all of your hits get undone pretty quickly and I almost feel better just playing as regular m1 killer
-
I could see a lot of legacy skin owners being upset by it but I think having recolor legacy skins would be a good compromise
-
I feel mixed about it.
Survivor Perks have 2 outright bad ones and self preservation potentially could be interesting but not good enough for meta. They introduced the most restrictive exhaustion perk and is the one that killers can most easily deny as well as a losing gen progres perk.
Killer perks could be interesting but crown control shouldn't be a ruin and even then it wouldn't be that amazing. Starstruck would need to at least not have exposed shown to Survivors until one is downed to be worth rubbing. The other one could certainly go into an end game build if someone wanted that (something like remember me, noed, and bloodwarden). Probably not that good but could at least be interesting.
Survivor artistically seems well made and more detailed than most.
Looking past the more subjective parts of his look, he is unique looking within the game which is nice. He is very weak right now and will need beefed up to be a go to for many people. For personal things I hate his name and him having a human face makes me want to have unmasked versions of some killers to make him fit in better.
Overall I'm still excited and there is more in this chapter than twins for sure and most likely blights
-
How about this
Please stop Dcing in general and proxy dcing (being afk or actively try to die)
-
In no particular order and not factoring in perks
Survivors:
1. Ash
2. Dwight
3. Bill
4. Meg
5. Feng
6. Adam
7. David
8. Cheryl
9. Laurie
10. Yui
Killers
1. Myers
2. Pyramid head
3. Doctor
4. Clown
5. Hag
6. Spirit
7. Ghost face
8. Huntress
9. Hillbilly
10. Freddy
-
Yeah I really want it. I had a game against a console nurse and they were great. I tried to congratulate them but couldn't:/
-
Nea and Quentin are the two worst looking survivors. Nea typically has a very derpy face and looks almost not human honestly. Nea surprises me as a survivor who has so much available and yet so little redeemable looks.
Quentin's art style also just feels off to me and he isn't good looking either. Doubt there will ever be much done to him.
I don't think characters need to be attractive either but at least look like actual people would be nice
-
Survivors have plenty of last chance/second chance perks. Makes no sense to remove this one for killers. If things like bt near gates, keys, Ds, unbreakable, etc (the list goes on) exist you shouldn't take away the killers only real counter to it all
-
I'm at almost 40 with the same progress. I have played a good bit without challenged or course though. I think they should reduce the grind of it all though and make sure challenges aren't dumb as hell that screw you or your team over
-
Best survivors- Feng and Dwight
Best killers- clown and pyramid head (does so well with so few)
Worst survivors- Bill (basically doesn't have any) and Jane
Worst killers- hag (almost all look the same just with a different color pallet. I only remotely like one skin) and Pig (they are all just kinda there to me)
-
I generally don't get that upset but I get very frustrated getting repeatedly denied as killer back to back
-

But botany knowledge etc. Perks can heal you faster and also there's times when you don't have anyone around or the only other person alive is being chased or whatever. You do come across these situations often atleast for me who has trash teammates. Although I agree with all that you said. I just like knowing that I always have a back-up med-kit at all times.
Yeah thats certainly a viable thing to do and not all that rare of a thing. Me personally I'm not as into it but I can see why others would like it. I believe TydeTyme uses those together all the time
-
Self care can be good, although I personally just keep a medkit around instead. It's not bad by any means though. I think the primary logic is that it takes more time to heal yourself rather than have someone heal you which in one sense is true but people neglect to consider having two people working on a single heal (the healer and injured person) takes away 2 people from doing one gen rather than self care just preoccupies one person for a little bit.
Selfcare essentially allows the most effective use of time if someone is already working one a gen or near one
