Purple and green for me. A lot of the red rank players will just curb stomp you right away thats its just not fun. I'm fine with losing but get dominated so quickly is not enjoyable
-
Playing it right now ;)

Personally, i think the devs should take a hard look at all the perks that get barely used and buff them. So the usage needs to be a indicator of the strength of a perk.
Yeah its unfortunate that half the perks never see the light of day outside of memeing, with a quarter of the remaining perks you occasionally see but still not a ton, with the last quarter being a fix of 70% rotate in and out and the last 30% you almost see in every game. That's all for survivor though
For killer pretty much only 20 perks actually ever get used with another 10 being sometimes used while the rest are never used except for memes or very specific builds that are rarely seen

Hey how much for a pitchfork? I could use one of those.
7000BP. You get a cool mori animation with it but you score worse but hey who cares!
-
Wouldn't smashing them just open them for survivors?
-
I wish more rift challenges were neutral ones like earn emblems or blood points. That would be a lot better tbh.
And I don't think wait times are effected by the tomes much. It's more that people just don't want to be killer because most people don't have as much as them unfortunately
-
Also do the challenges seem reasonable?
This is my first rift and I'm hoping to get to 70 by the end. I'm currently at 45
-
They have said too that just because maps haven't been added for some characters including trickster that doesnt mean they won't go back and add a map. Its not a promise they will but it's not off the table

Yeah, it wouldn't hurt his bottom line. And then people wouldn't loathe him quite as much lol.
Yeah I agree. In general I think killers aren't favored as much and need buffs (not all of them but most of them). What I want for killers is to ideally be fun for both sides whereas freddy right now I can totally understand not having fun against him and a number of other killers

Yeah. I love Freddy, but I think they could add 15 seconds to the Sleep timer.
Yeah survivors full asleep too fast that it feels kinda pointless to bother waking up. I'm more into adding 30 seconds personally.
-
I do want to try them out. There are a lot of killers that came out since I took a break and just got back in (everything post legion). Most of them I'm terrible with lol
-
Anyways, I have yet to try him again after taking a break 2 years ago so he has changed a lot I've heard with his addons and a few other things. From what I've seen he does better now with being able to walk and rev
-
Anyone else hoping this was going to be about an actual hillbilly giving dbd tips?
-
I've yet to hear of anyone liking breakable walls.

Ok so let me get this straight: survivors suiciding or giving up against certain killers is bad but killers lobby dodging for whatever reason isn't?
To me that's a bit different. Killers should dc or go afk for any reason at all (but I can understand going afk against particularly toxic survivors or if they refuse to play the game actually) but I can definetly understand certain lobby dodging like a team of all keys, all flashlights, or if its clear they are all swfs (like have the same name essentially or reference one another).
Personally I'll still play no matter what unless a team is being toxic or I get shut down hard early on ill just mess around. It also a little bit depends on if I played a couple games in a row of all keys, flashlights or swfs which happens often. It gets old 3 games back to back of it
-
I never used Ds out of me feeling it was too powerful and the changes don't effect how I feel about me using it honestly. I do ds will still be used in top 10 most used perks but will drop back a few spots.
As far as borrowed time I like it a lot but it depends on what your build is honestly. I like using borrowed time with botany knowledge, self care, and dead hard
-
Spies from the shadows is up there. It's helped me so much in chases, against stealth players, and even find downed survivors that crawled halfway across the map. I dont think I've had a game where I regretted bringing it. Because it's not super common survivors never keep it in mind and few people run calm spirit so you almost always get notified on survivors to slap up.
For survivor, I really enjoy lithe since it not only benefits you have an obstacle between you and the killer but you get a speed boost that's easier to manage than the other exhaustion perks (although deadhard is nice but ive had it not work plenty of times too)
-
Id say about 10 seconds since they will get a speed boost anyways after a hit for a number of seconds so really the first 5 seconds a survivor should be pretty easily safe. Killers should all be given an exhaustion addon as an option since that is the only direct counter to the exhaustion perks. I'm all for everything being able to have a direct counter as an option in the game.
Mind breaker is way too weak to be worth playing imo
-
Come to think of it, I could potentially get on board with the speed boost at least partially applying the entire game (maybe half the end percentage so tier 3 would be 2.5%)

I agree. Give me a rusty shackles or mint rag Hag over the mending simulator that is Legion matches any day.
Yeah their attacks just draw out the game super long, they arent very threatening a lot of the time, and they just don't have a very commanding presence just shuffling behind you while the sprint I know 95% of the time I'll mend and get healed and it will all be fine
-
Id take hag over Legion and pig easily any day. They both are kinda boring to face and having annoying mini games built in them
-
Because money is nice for businesses generally speaking
-
Interesting. Im going to have to keep trying him out. One of my friends was arguing the changes coming up are a big nerf to him while I viewed it as primarily a buff
-
The only buff I'd say is indirect with totems being placed better but that's unrelated to noed mostly
-
People are rude. Unfortunately who you pick will effect how nice people are to you. That's been the case for all games like metaknight for brawl, oddjob in the bond games, etc.
-
Run unbreakable.
Fixed

I assume it doesn't trigger if I'm cloaked as wraith and nearby, huh lol

I'm not a fan of going up against Shape. I dont think he's overpowered or anything (he's actually kind of underpowered), its just aggravating because no other Killer power really directly punishes you for -other players- playing badly like his does.
But what about Oni?

You're right, I forgot about Legion, but Legion vaulting the pallet feels a lot less threatening than Nurse or Victor launching over the pallet lol.
Lol you're not wrong about that
-
I would be into the idea of a different perk having your terror radius fluctuate to throw survivors off where it can become massive and also be reduced to 0.

Personally, the first thing in trying is Shadow Dance + The Serpent. Still a meme build but maybe slightly viable with his speed buffs
Hmm yeah that may be true. I feel like right now I don't get enough use out of his cloaking and want to use it more in chase if possible

Wraith is a killer a lot of Survs underestimate in my experience. With his buffs, he'll only get better. Even if they do mess with his post-uncloak lunge.
His clapper addon does make me very interested in trying him out with more options
-
@lassfroobynoo said:
Isn't being able to leap over the pallets a big enough strength? Only one other killer can move over pallets without breaking them (Nurse) so that is actually one of his biggest assets. Not to mention, as a survivor, there's very little you can actually do against a Victor that knows what they're doing aside from heal every time you get injured so that he can't down you or hug a strong window and hope for the best. And that's not always possible. I agree with one of the commenters above, Twins are fundamentally flawed and would need a total redesign to make them feel good. But Victor being able to break pallets would be a little obnoxious imo.
Legion can as well but no one else

Not gonna lie. That legit made me lol. I probably even looked like a lunatic. Idc it was funny. 😆
Glad it brought you joy lol. I for real forget no mither is a thing half the time and am confused as hell what happened to someone at start or partially through the game I forget they ran a trash perk
-
Unfortunately you do rank better if you allow unhooks and rehook survivors. Are you counting individual hooks or the hook states? Individual hooks should give you a lot while hook states are meaningless
You most likely were lacking in other areas like chases being too long or gens got done too quickly.
Killers have a much harder time pipping though which I hate

I know that sometimes you can do well being just an M1 killer, but against decent teams that will not going to happen.
And the fun in playing killer is that each one has a unique power, but if you can't use your power, what's the point?
The whole premise of GF is that you hide and stalk survivors, and even if it is possible to do well without doing that, there's no difference in playing him and any other killer who is 115% and will not use it's power. I personally think that this is a flawn in game design. If I would design a killer, i wouldn't do it that it's power is based on if survivors have X perk or not.
I think it's fine that somethings make the life of the killer harder (flashlights vs hag, iron will vs spirit, calm spirit vs doctor) but not to the point of make it's power almost useless.
Eh I guess we can just agree to disagree. Granted I've not used Ghostface much, the other killers stealth killers (wraith, pig, and myers) I've had a decent bit of experience with and haven't had much issue against spinechill and honestly kinda hope someone runs it over other perks such as ds, unbreakable, and deadhard.
-
To me hatch always being available for last survivor is a much bigger instance of being rewarded for playing poorly, especially games where no gens are done
-
I might just have to lol.
I need to get him better perks and good addons (all I have right now are common and uncommon ones) but have done very well nonetheless.

His new bottle is actually amazing just more situational than his pink ones
Yeah, I guess was hoping for something to more help his loop potential like a jack in the box trap or something. His new bottle does have its uses but it wasn't really what he needed imo

I as said just because it is not often, doesn't mean that is not problematic. What If all 4 have spine chill and your playing GF? You will never get to stalk people and expose them.
I have run on teams that had 4 SC, I was not playing a stalking killer, but still. The fact that this perk alone make the power of a killer obsolete it's not right.
Each of the stealth killers can stillcdo well without their ability, including Ghostface. I've had lots of games recently as wraith that I didn't even need the bell for the most part and still got 4ks back to back against red ranks. I personally have a much bigger issue with 4 players running DS than something like spinechill since DS has no direct counter while Spinechill do have options
-

Well, just because it doesn't happen very often it doesn't mean it's not problematic. And I think it's fine some perks counter some especific killers, but not to the point of render their power useless. The exemples that you gave make killer powers less efective, but they can still play around and get some value of their power.
Besides, GF is a weak killer and has and already simple but effective counterplay, that is be aware of your surrounding.
But spine chill doesn't render it useless stillcwince teams never run it as a whole. Sure you can't catch that one survivor very easily but you still have 3 others. The power isn't worthless at that point. You just need to be tactful. There aren't any counters that completely shut out a killers power in the game honestly
-
I don't think there is much of a way that can happen though since finding the rights to the characters would kinda chaotic
-
Not my 10 favorite perks but 10 that I think are the best and impact a game the most
Survivor
1. Decisive strike
2. Borrowed time
3. Deadhard
4. Prove thyself
5.Unbreakable
6. Fixated
7. Iron will
8. Dark sense
9. Self care
10. Botany knowledge
Killer (I won't include bbq since yes it's used a lot but I don't think it's that good other than for extra BP)
1. Save the best for last
2. Pop goes the weasle
3. Bamboozle
4. Sloppy butcher
5. Noed
6. Spies from the shadows
7. Tinkerer
8. Hex ruin
9. Fired it
10. Blood warden
-
I always get confused when I find a myers running it...I'm just like "bit you already have it....why run noed". Id much rather get some mileage out if something else as myers since I have noed built in and I'd rather not have to prolong the game as him if needed
-
I will say I think she should get a nerf to not being able to instantly grab you off of a gen after phasing. Getting a free hook is too much.
