Id be shocked if very many people picked fnaf of the two. Resident evil just fits so much better, is more influential/classic (often argued as the series that most impacted horror games), and having silent hill already in makes it natural to expect resident evil in as well. There are plenty of options to choose from that could fit and all play differently. Survivors as well.
Personally I don't care for fnaf. I'd rather many other licenses be in before it. There really isn't a survivor to pick from that they couldn't just make one up anyways. The options are all primarily the same besides some slight behavior changes and asthetically different. If they went with a possessed animatronic route they should just do their own thing
-
I believe they sell editions of the game that include a lotnof the dlc at least. Not sure if you can just buy those bundles and not basegame. Look at nightmare edition, deluxe edition,, and I think stranger things
-
I'm pretty sure they have to wiggle free

Mikey is definitely not an add on dependant killer. He is perfectly viable in red ranks without them. I speak from personal experience. I made myself get good with him without using add ons. I think its the best way to master a killer.
A lot of Mikey players do the same. You ever watch Stalky Boi? Red rank Myers main. Never uses add ons. He has a ton of content on Youtube. I highly recommend him if you want to see what I'm talking about.
I clarified later on what I meant but essentially not dependent on how viable he is but dependent by that his addons can drastically change how you play which is great

You see a lot of noob PH getting stomped. Hard to play doesn't mean balanced.
The Nurse is OP in good hands and she is really really hard to play. PH is not as effective as the nurse but he can denies every loop if you spam your attack. He can avoid flashlight saves and bodyblock with the cage. The map control is ok as he is fast enough on most maps.
His ranged attack is easy to read and avoid. If the killer wiffs it, the survivor has enough time to go somewhere else. Flashlights saves are already easy to avoid for all killers if they pay enough attention. Flashlight saves are very rare see me when I use any killer. Body blocking being preventable is a thing but it rarely works out from my experience. Generally best case scenario for survivors is that I down the survivor in my way and drop my held survivor so it doesn't change too much and I'd prefer that trade most times (1 hook and injured survivor with body block over just one hooked survivor). You also have to keep in mind that his cages aren't available to him always and have plenty of games you won't get them at all. Many times id prefer a hook over cage since I know where the hook is while cages I don't. He is also slow enough that teams can rush a gen together before he can do much about it.

No source, i just remember that on this forum (on my previous account) that when it was released many OP threads were posted.
After the nerf some twitchers/youtubers made video about how even worst it was xD.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PO5aDlgiOA
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dbd+pyramid+head+nerf+is+more+op
After nerf, spamming punishment is the way to go and when you spam it, survivors can't do anything and can't survive more than 20 sec.
Man I just have to disagree still. To me he is harder to use than a lot of killers and has a lower ceiling than killers like nurse. He is good but not THAT good. I see plenty of pyramid heads getting stomped on

Because most killers and survivors are terrible. PH is a beast in good hands, believe it or not. Gunslinger aswell. Against random soloQ/duoQ it's 3 to 4k every game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcheNk43V1Q
That's 1 exemple. But you can check Skyteuur on Twitch, he is a great PH player... 4k every game. Even sometimes he stops moving between chases to read the chat lol... and still gets 4k.
And it's well known that PH is OP... Everyone complained at release, then they tweaked it and most have said it's even worst.
Got sources on these claims that most people think he is worse now and op? I havent seen it on here at all nor in game playing either side. I've seen only a couple people say it (infact I've seen more people argue Myers, Bubba, and Twins are op than PH being OP which is hilarious to me)
The arguement that a killer is op in the right hands is not a good arguement, especially when referring to a YouTuber since those are generally among the best players and you could also say any killer is insane in the right hands. You can find killers mains for all killers and it look like a killer is OP since they do so well with that particular killer but that doesn't mean they are actually OP. The same thing happens in tons of games (especially fighters). Just because some people can do well with a person/weapon/perk/etc in a game doesn't mean it's overpowered.
-
Last night I had a Steve early in the game throw down pallet near me and fast vaulted back and forth. I hid in a nearby locker and he kept pointing at me when killer came up. I opened the locker and the killer wrecked the traitor and let us farm since the other player DCed fairly early

In good hands, Deathslinger, Spirit, Nurse, PH, Hag are impossible to beat if you are not in a SWF...
(i have read the end of your post)
I've never heard of anyone else arguing this for deathslinger and PH especially while also not mentioning freddy. I've played games against really good players of each and did well. Hag isn't as bad as a lot of people make her out to be. I could see a better case for spirit or nurse though

Myers is certainly not the most addon dependent killer in the game. That's trapper.
I guess I mean that he is the most dependent in that it changes how he plays the most while people like Trapper need specific addons to be worth using. So not dependent on effectiveness but more as in gameplay changing
-
Kicking gens should take off a chunk of progress and the loss of progress is so minimal right now. Both should be raised. As is every second a killer has regressing on a gen (as base) is 1/4 the progress changes that a single survivor does by themselves repairing it. I think a killers regression should about equal one survivor repair progress on a gen.
So kicks be like a 5% for a kick and 1 for 1 single survivor progress with gens not being worked on at all decaying at 1/8 the progress a single survivor does automatically.
I could be into a basekit weaker BT could be nice. Like a 1 second protection off hook to avoid facecamping more.
-
He is the killer most dependant on addons which isn't necessarily good or bad but it is unique to him. I think he could use a slight buff with improving tier 1 some and increase his feeding rate slightly but other than that he is fine. I wish more killers had addons like him since his change his gameplay a lot while most other killers still play about the same regardless of addons
-
Shirtless myers is the buff we need
-
Personally I get way more upset about afk players and want there to be punishments for being afk and that the screwed survivors get something to compensate for being sandbagged
-
Yeah I out of frustration go and unhook the survivor even if I know they are trying to die.
It must be the social worker in me that wants to intervene.
-
A lot of his abilities require prerequisites to function like the cage and mori. He is pretty limited on those and it primarily relies on survivors making a mistake. He is the most balanced killer imo
-
Myers has the most versatile playstyle out of those. You can play a lot of different ways with him while the others have one or two playstyles to them. He isn't the strongest but I like that you can choose to be stealthy, loud with him, or do a few other options with him. His addons are what make him shine most. Plus save the best for last is a great perk you could want on other killers
Spirit and Freddy are the strongest. Both are pretty straightforward and both will give you lots of salty players which can be good or bad lol. I like Freddy's perks more than spirit but have more fun as spirit.
Oni seems fun. I havent played him much but from my understanding he us a more interesting Billy kind of.
Wraith I just picked up again and am having fun with (which surprises me honestly). He is simple which is good and bad. Bad perks mostly.
Personally I'd go myers, Spirit, freddy, oni, and then wraith
-
Yeah I don't like the challenge myself. I had a game where I got 10 hooks and it still didn't give me gold. Very frustrating. I think the killers emblems need some major tweaking overall though.
For this challenge you have to actively allow unhooks. You have to spread the love and actively tunnel that one survivor who is being smart enough to not run out in the open all the time before finishing more than one survivor. That is probably my least favorite challenge in the tomes so far
-
I just recently played her again after not playing dbd for years. I'm doing pretty well with getting 4ks more often than with other killers. I'm on console, don't use a headset, and don't use stridor either against red and purple ranks. Those things can help a lot but even without them she is pretty solid. I think I use sloppy, pop goes the weasel, BBQ, and spies from the shadows (maybe nurses calling) if I remember correctly which works well for. I think most of those perks are tier 1 and 2.
I think she is a little over powered right now but I don't think she is as insane as people make her out to be a lot of the time. You primarily just have to play her with mind games rather than the natural mechanics like most killers which is interesting. You can get a lot of free hits standing still because survivors aren't sure if you are phasing or not.
Id say she is somewhere between where half the people say she is is super easy and the other half saying she is one of the hardest killers. In some ways she is easier but in others she harder. She has a latgely reasonable learning curb imo but does need a slight nerf
-
People looking for the " hot coffee mode" for dbd huh.
(I hope at least someone knows what I'm talking about)
-
Generally because these are your teammates half the time
-
Not enough people want to play killer. That's the issue. The game needs adjustments to make killer more enjoyable (not necessarily stronger but I do think that may be a factor). Generally people don't like being killer as much.
Another thing that would help would be to allow killers to play against friends in public lobbies and gain BP. I want to play against my friends but gaining nothing for it just isn't motivating. People want to play with friends in some capacity but swf is the only option that gives you stuff unfortunately. Sure people could farm against a friend killer but people do that all the time against randoms plus each match has a bp cap anyways that prevents players from boosting that much anyways

To me that's a bit different. Killers should dc or go afk for any reason at all (but I can understand going afk against particularly toxic survivors or if they refuse to play the game actually) but I can definetly understand certain lobby dodging like a team of all keys, all flashlights, or if its clear they are all swfs (like have the same name essentially or reference one another).
Personally I'll still play no matter what unless a team is being toxic or I get shut down hard early on ill just mess around. It also a little bit depends on if I played a couple games in a row of all keys, flashlights or swfs which happens often. It gets old 3 games back to back of it
Lol I meant to say killers shouldn't dc for any reason at all.

This is my first rift ever (I played years ago and took a break. I stopped before rifts were a thing). Im currently 52 and have the first 2 sections fully done with the 3rd about halfway done. 1. Hit them before they begin unhooking/get close.
2. If they're at the hook they either take a hit or get grabbed.
I'm all for changes but the perk needs to serve a function also. BT needs to give survivors a chance to free a camped survivor. If you have changes that allow that I'd love to hear but changes that make the perk pointless is unnecessary and unhealthy.
I'm saying the perk is largely fine but should deactivate within range of the exit (maybe even within the exit itself). This change would not make the perk worthless. I've had a lot of games where I down a survivor and the only hook available is the one by the gate where the others the survivor will wiggle away.
Here is a specific example. I hook a survivor near the exit gate with 3 survivors standing in near the exit. I try to push them out but then at least one will get away and try to unhook. I hit a survivor who gets close and they zoom away while my hit reloads another survivor unhooks and there isn't anything that can be done. If I hit a survivor actually grabbing they run away as well with haste and can't catch them.
Overall the perk is fine and doesn't need changes but situations by the exits a killer against 3 survivors may as well let the survivor go since they will either hit a survivor who gets away anyways or hit the unhooker and they zoom away or hit the bt survivor and it essentially does nothing

No, i'm a really good survivor but i'm an average killer (i mean i don't master their abilities) who knows how to apply pressure and have a good map control.
Once you know you have to play to end up in a 3 gens situation... you win all the time.
Game is killer sided. All my friends (around 3000h each of them) that play 50/50 surv/killer tells that globally it's killer sided.
We all agree that Doctor, Trapper, Blight, Billy, Clown, Oni, Demo, Legion, Plague, Ghost, Pig, Myers are balanced.
And other killers it depends :
- Wraith is nothing special, we admit he is weak
- Nurse is bad and OP : in bad hands she is terrible, in good hands there is no counter at all
- Huntress is balanced without one shot hatchet
- Twins is boring and OP, the map control is way too strong, Victor's hitboxes are broken (fixing the hitbox might make it balanced as it would be harder to play)
- PH is OP
- Booba is balanced if he doesn't camp and tunnel otherwise it's OP and not fun
- Hag is the most OP killer
- Freddy has slightly too much map control but is fairly balanced, his hitbox must be fixed though
Do you know that t he best killer mains in this game are bored to play killer as there is no challenge anymore ? There is literally 0 survivor/SWF good enough to outplay them ? Some of them even stopped to play killer...
And take the best survivors (Ayrun/Noob3 for exemple), they can't outplay killers on a regular basis in red rank games. Check their youtube, most of the clips are against purple/green killers lol... And they are considered gods at this game. And they are pissed with the state of the game, some of them stopped to play DbD.
Tbh I see pyramid head as potentially the most balanced killer. Yes he is one of the stronger ones and I think others should be put on a similar level to him but there are also those that I think should be dropped down closer to him. I like him a lot but he does have some clear weaknesses.

Games get ruined through a few people yelling and complaining on twitter, or forums.
I just know that even in purple ranks, at rank 6, it's pretty certain as a survivor in solo that my team with 90% not make it. And even with teammates I know it's not too much higher.
I'm glad to hear your perspective, most threads I see pop in my Google news feed are from killers complaining, even more then survivors. But maybe I am misjudging
I'm at the exact same rank for both sides (6) and I rarely see 4ks on either side tbh. It's fine to prefer playing one side but you have to admit that if the game is not enjoyable for the otherside than you won't have an asymmetrical multiplayer game anymore if one side is miserable and hardly anyone uses it (which honestly the main reason survivor queues take so long is that there are so few killers in comparison).
Most killers don't expect a 4k every game but I imagine that most think 4ks should happen more often than they do, while now it only really happens if you slug the 3rd survivor and hunt for the 4th which isn't particularly fun for survivors either or if you happen to find hatch first. Right now survivors do have a ton of second chance options/mechanics or psuedo second chance (deliverance, dead hard, DS, borrowed time, hook sabos, body blocking, keys, flashloght saves, etc) available in the game where the killer doesn't have much available to him if he makes a mistake (you could argue noed or bloodwarden but that's about it that's very useful) but even those don't change much with trying to get a 4k.
Here is an example that happened last week- i killed 2 survivors and downed 2. One I hooked and he 4% off hook, I downed him again, he used ds opened hatch and his friends laid on hatch and got out as well. The guy who got off hook didn't have any perks to get him off hook or offerings but it still happened. Survivors only finished 2 gens but still got out.
In short, killers should be able to have more options for 4ks beyond 3rd survivor slugging on relying on finding hatch first but killers shouldn't expect 4ks super regularly either. Right now I see a 4k about 1 in every 15 games but I think it's realistic to think it should be 1 in every 8 or 9 games playing either side (unless you have total potatoes on either side).

The point isn't that they are wanting to improve as killers, to get 4ks, they are wanting consistent nerfs of survivors.
Killers have insane add-ons that combined with perks can make them absolutely unstoppable. BBQ, mixed with several gen regression perks on a freddy, and he teleports to every gen, he can see where everyone is, and when you have to hide your gen goes to 0.
Red ranks are only a small percentage of the game. The majority of players face 3 to 4 deaths match, making this game very killer sided.
I appreciate the feedback and can agree that red rank survivors MAY be able to beat a red rank killer with Freddy+perks, but I rarely see it
Lol BBQ made me laugh

is it free if they used their perk effectively? If its endgame and you have someone on the hook how are they getting unhooked without straight up trading with the person unhooked? One hit on approach and one hit after the unhook. If gates are powered you really have no other objective and if youre going after the unhooked person - ignoring the rest of the team (specifically the now injured unhooker) then the L is squarely on you...
Edit: Also DS is a thing. So if you werent robbed of the tunnel kill by BT you'd likely get hit by the DS. Its a lose-lose. Just dont tunnel I guess?
Downing someone after u hook is not a tunnel. And I do hit the person on approach but it typically ends with either 1. The hit detection hits the hooked person even though the unhooker is between us. And 2. They get the haste boost and run away after the unhook. Im saying it's a free unhook because you can't do anything about it because the perk allows no effort to escape in those situations. not literally free. Just because a perk allows something doesn't mean it shouldn't change either otherwise nothing would change In the game.
-
The only change I think is needed is that it should automatically deactivate within a certain range of the exit. Ive Had so many free escapes on survivors because of BT both due to needing to hit unhooked twice and the other one has bt active on them:/ otherwise I'm fine with it as is
-
It kinda need more options to go to the second floor and I wish the middle section was bigger and had more going on with it..

The rift does cause you to make decisions, on both sides, that are contrary to winning a lotnof the time although this section is better than the previous 2 tome chapters.
-
If you did this, it would literally prevent some of the main YouTube players and other good players from playing killer. Know this info on a survivor doesn't necessarily change much for the game but knowing who the killer is (playername) definetly decides a game such as survivors countering a specific killer hard or straight up dodging a killer. I highly doubt killers really care about survivors names beyond if they are clearly swf. Killers knowing this info is fine
-
Id say C approaching F tier. He just doesn't have enough utility in comparison to most killers. I think he needs a rework pretty badly to have a second ability to make him a little more effective. He is kind of a glass cannon to me where he is really good at one thing mostly (surprising survivors and chasing them shortly after surprising) but not a whole lot ouraide of that
-
Id love for it to have a minor use that blacks out the killers screen for like half a second if you hit them in the head lol

To me goofing around is much different. Dcing not only penalizes you but effects survivors scores and challenges which I think is a shame (not including their own fun). I agree I totally gave up but it at least doesn't negatively effect others while dcing very much does.
Having games where gens get done in first 5 minutes with noed lasting 10 seconds just is rough but not so bad id dc

I generally do that honestly but if I get multiple rank 1 swf flashlight games back to back with super fast gens it just gets to me. I really enjoy the game and don't mind losing necessarily but to get shut down so early on just isnt fun
-
This is one of the most needed nerfs the game has ever needed honestly.
Obsessions should always exist regardless of if obsession perks are being used.
Two days ago I kept a tally of how many games (me being on both sides and not using ds) had DS used. I played 20 games. 5 games had all ds users, 6 had 3 users, 6 had 2, and 3 had one. The fact that you can play 20 games in a row and have the same perk exist in every game shows that a perk is at least very powerful. I had more games without DH or BT than I did with DS
