I just want survivors to have more fun things they can do but with there being such a huge gap in power differences its hard to do that in my opinion. Why does it always have to be all about the sweat and skill? Why do we so often have to worry about if the killer is going to be toxic and start camping and tunneling people? This doesn't mean killers need to be thrown into the dust. I just think killer mains should be a little more open minded at the idea of survivors being able to do more and not think its the end of the world for them.
Camping and tunneling are not toxic, this is just you projecting your emotions upon the killer. This is a pvp game at its core, you are supposed to prepare for as many of your opponents possible strategies as you can. You're supposed to do your best to outplay your opponent.
Survivors can do plenty enough as it is. They can deny killers from hooking someone that they spent time chasing by using the Saboteur perk or just by finding a tool box. They can do the same with flashlights and body blocking. They can waste the killers time by being really good at stealth- I've aggravated many killers by using Spine Chill and disappearing before they got to the gen I was on, it's especially satisfying against a Spirit who goes for gen grabs. They can also body block the killer or locker stun them with Head On in order to deny them hooks. They can run DS even when the killer doesn't tunnel, and in endgame, when the killer has no choice but to tunnel, can use DS to deny him the kill. They can deny the killer time by splitting up and completing gens before the killer can stop them. The killer can only be in one place at a time. Survivors can make this worse by bringing in tool boxes and if they want to go more hard core, they have perks that speed up gen progress along with Brand New Parts.
The whole purpose of playing PvP games is to test your skill against other players. Players have the right to sweat as much as they want to, as long as they follow the rules set by the developers, no one has a right to disparage them for playing hard.
Go play killer for once and you'd find that survivors are just as sweaty if not more than killers.

I am being honest, and again, you're assuming things about me that are not true. This is all about perception and your perception of my opinions is that I want the game easier and killers to be on the same level of ability as survivors. This is not true. Believe it or not it is possible to improve the survivor experience without also hindering the killer one. That is why I constantly say the game needs to fundamentally change. If a survivor's team was bad, but you weren't, why should the odds be against you in that situation? I'm not saying it should guarantee anything. I'm just saying far too much relies on the performance of the team that essentially just screws the person actually trying unless you by chance find the hatch first.
You should lose if your team was bad because this is a team game not a 1 vs 1 game. As such, you have to suffer the consequences of the actions of your teammates. If you can't handle this fact than you really shouldn't be playing the survivor role.
You literally said:
The point was even without perks killers are still more powerful than survivors. This is a problem because the gap between survivors ability to survive and killer's ability to kill is too big in my opinion
What does this mean other than you want killers nerfed in order to have an easier time and that you think survivors should be stronger?
And no, the gap between killers and survivors isn't too large. I'm terrible at the game and I do fine. I can't look behind myself and loop the killer without running into a rock and get hit, yet I still manage to waste enough of their time for objectives to get completed. Everyone with extended experience in this game would tell you that the survivors are the power role, not killer. The only time when survivors aren't in charge is when they're bad and uncoordinated, but that's not a problem with the role, that's a problem with the player and perhaps matchmaking.
Game should not be balanced around bad or new players, it should be balanced around high level play while making sure that the potatoes are matched with other potatoes until they get better at it.

No, I want the game to be more fun. Putting words into other people's mouths and making assumptions about them is like a trend here or something. And wait a minute, killer entitled to a kill? That sounds like you're a bit entitled there you know since that word likes to be thrown at me a lot here.
Fun for you, irregardless of how un-fun it is for your opponent. I never put words in your mouth, I'm just reacting to your posts. You want the game made easier for your by nerfing killers and making them more equal to you rather than stronger than you. You're just labeling that as "fun". If you were honest, you'd admit it.
And yes, the killer is entitled to the kill if he prevents your team from opening the doors and only one person remains. The devs just implemented the hatch so the match can end and not last over an hour since survivors would just hide out of spite.
And, for the record, I'm a survivor main, a Claudette loyalist in fact. Never have been and never will be a killer main, though I dabble in it for the rift or if I need blood points. I'm just honest enough about my capabilities in this game and know that the killer is supposed to be the power role and that if my team fails, its more due to us being bad.

Next they will just remove Charlotte and you can only go around as Victor. You won’t be able to hook survivors and you will have a 8 second fatigue for every time you miss a survivor with your jump.

Never once said they shouldn't be. I was making a point which you didn't get. The point was even without perks killers are still more powerful than survivors. This is a problem because the gap between survivors ability to survive and killer's ability to kill is too big in my opinion. After the latest hatch and key changes survivors are now left with even less means to escape and rendering keys even more problematic. Now people think if you play a key you're going to hold out on your team and wait for hatch. Keys can still have some use with addons but no one is going to think you're using them for addon power.
No, I get your point, you just want the game to be made easier for you. If perks were removed from the game, survivors would still have the advantage. You just don't want a team game, you want to be able to solo the killer. The killer is supposed to be more powerful than a lone survivor, even with no perks, they have super powers for a reason. The whole point of playing survivor is to persevere against the killer by working together, with the option of being selfish and waiting for the hatch.
Why should the game provide the survivors with yet another means of escape when they failed to open the doors? Why should more than one person be able to escape from the hatch? Isn't the killer entitled to the kill if they managed to out play your team or do you just want more hand holding because you feel bad that you couldn't beat them? Of course people will think you're bringing in a key for the hatch, that's the main purpose of the key.
At the end of the day, Survivors are currently the power role, well, survivors who know how to actually play the game anyways. If this wasn't true, then they wouldn't have to be limited to certain perks during tournaments.

Sorry what was the op on again?
I didn't even think of that! I hope she drags the survivors kicking and screaming! It would be a nice touch. As for her power, she can vomit toxic water on the ground and slide over it kind of like Sub Zero's ice slide. If survivors walk on it, they turn to floating zombie goldfish that attack other survivors for 60 seconds. It would be revenge for all the goldfish that were flushed down the toilet!
Her main power better be more interesting than Caw Caw Lady. Hopefully she's not as loud too.

I'm at the point where I want to enter a match and pretend I'm a rank 20 noob and just annoy everyone with popping gens and trying to flashlight the killer only to intentionally fail. I mean, I'm getting some good teammates, but when I get bad ones, they're really bad.

They react that way because they know survivors still need so much more and when we see killers getting new things it feels like a slap in the face to us. Even if they were to take away perks from killers they still would be more powerful than survivors. Survivors have to make a loadout based on assumptions on how the next killer they go against is going to play. We only get 4, so if we don't go into the match with the right ones say against a tunneling killer then its probably not going to end well for us. We can use DS every match, but should we have to? Why should I buy new perks if I am forced to use the same perks every match just because I must assume every killer is going to be toxic? As I have said, this game needs to have big fundamental changes.
Killers are supposed to be more powerful than survivors, what on earth makes you think that they shouldn't be? Killers also have to make their perk load outs based on assumptions on how the survivors are going to play. The killer only gets 4 perks while the survivors have a combined 16 perks that the killer needs to consider. If the killer doesn't enter the match with the right perks, then it's probably not going to end well for them unless they're facing bad survivors.
You don't have to use DS every match, I have only used it once and find that most killers respect it even when I don't have it. I have zero exhaustion perks equipped and I do fine. I'm not great at survivor, but I don't blame the game or the killer, I blame my lack of skill.
You say you have to assume that every killer is going to be toxic, what do you mean by that? Are you insinuating that killers who camp or tunnel are toxic? Because if you are, you're wrong. There is nothing wrong with killers trying to complete their objective. Just like survivors try to do gens as fast as possible, the killer has the right to do their objective as fast as possible too.
The game doesn't need large fundamental changes, it's closer to balanced than it's ever been. The main thing solo survivors need is a little more information, which the devs have revealed in their latest developer update, that they're working on it. As things stand now, Survivors are the power role, not the killer. Well, Coordinated survivors who know how to work together and loop the killer for more than 6 seconds.

Every time someone tries to solve Bubba facecamping they somehow come up with a worse solution than the last
I have the best idea. Every time Bubba hooks a survivor, an small, cute and rideable fluffy pony spawns on the map. Bubba can than choose to continue camping or go get the rideable mount and chase others. The mount will despawn if he goes back to the hook.
-
I watched myself on a streamers video. He’s well known due to his Basement Bubba camping Tuesdays. Unfortunately my team lost due to their altruism while I was the only one to know that we shouldn’t go down into the dungeon.
He was a little annoyed because I was minding my own business in a bush and he happened to walk into me twice and each time I was able to juke him and get away. He never said anything toxic though.
-
I sigh and prepare and clench my butt cheeks in preparation of tunnel city since lots of Mr Baldies just tunnel hooks, though, thankfully, not as bad as Caw Caw lady. It’s also miserable to face him since I only play solo and 9 times out of 10 no one goes for the box.
-
Swiss is nice when it’s melted in a sandwich (in my city, they use it for Philly cheesesteaks while in Philly, I understand they use cheese wiz). I prefer extra sharp white Vermont cheddar though. I could also live on mozzarella cheese. It’s so versatile and delicious. Feta is nice in scrambled eggs, omelette’s, salads, pasta and pizza.
-
Camping isn’t an issue and survivors aren’t entitled to easy unhooks. It’s a team role and as such, your team is supposed to coordinate the rescue and try and out play the killer.
The only time camping is an issue is if it’s Bubbi Boi. But that’s a character issue that the devs should figure out how to fix, like making his saw only work on one person when he’s near a hook.

And this is why it feels pointless for survivor mains to posts their feedback and suggestions here. We give our opinion and its met with responses like this that completely exaggerate what we want to see in the game because you think were asking for too much. Killer mains are afraid to see anything new given to survivors. Look at the reactions when boon totems went live. Ohh they were soo OP. Give me a break.
It’s literally no different with how survivor mains on this forum react to killer posts. Neither side is better than the other.

Being able to spin while in dying state. It gave me some fun while I was slugged and the killer is looking for the last person.
-
While I'd like a Child's Play Chapter, I'd rather it be an original one instead and the devs actually come up with some new, creative mechanics for the anniversary. Stuff like the snowmen would be nice, but more of it and more fair for both roles (snowmen were anything but fair for killers). I dunno what they can do, I'm not a video game developer, but maybe have glyphs on the map so both sides can walk through them and get speed boosts or temporary invisibility or something. Just want the game to feel interesting for a change.

if the killers slugging you on floor because you're the only decent survivor so he can get a 4 kill why should you be forced to sit there doing nothing for 4/5 minutes because the match making has put you with players that either don't attempt to save you or do it right infront of the killer ? it's backwards, i don't understand why the killer is allowed to be toxic and camp/slug/tunnell but if a survivor doesn't want to put up with that we're punished? lol
Killers aren't toxic for camping, slugging or tunneling. This is just you projecting your emotions and trying to vilify your opponents for not playing in a matter that pleases you.
Don't want to be tunneled? Learn how to properly loop and equip the proper perks to help you extend chases. The better you loop, the more undesirable you will be to chase. Even if the killer doesn't stop chasing you, whats the problem? Isn't the most interactive part of the game the chase?
Don't like being slugged? Unbreakable will allow you to get right back up and reset all of the killers hard work if you time it properly. Tenacity will allow you to crawl away faster and heal while crawling so you can get out of the killers sights and have a teammate pick you up in a safe spot.
Don't like being camped? Well, don't get caught. Either learn to loop better or get good at stealth. This is a team game and the onus is on your team to rescue you and take aggro. Also, there are perks that can help you break line of sight and sneak away when you're rescued. The only time when camping is a problem is if the killer is a Bubba, but this is more of a Bubba issue than it is a camping issue.
If you can't handle being slugged, camped or tunneled, then this game isn't for you. If you can't handle Solo Queue then make some friends and play SWF.
-
Camping is the path of least resistance.
Survivors flock to the hook for rescues and killers know this. It's easier to sit and wait rather than go look for a new target, only to get looped around an obstacle course and have 3 gens pop at the same time.

Sadly, I think this games code is in such a poor state that the only way to minimize hackers is to begin with rewriting it. Unfortunately, I don’t think that will happen.
-
Your first mistake is waiting 20 minutes for a match. While, yes, my queue times have gotten longer, they're usually no longer than 5-6 minutes. If waiting over ten minutes becomes a consistent thing as a survivor, I'd end up leaving the game. Too much stupid crap to deal with in order to wait that long. Not just annoying killers, but crap teammates are just as bad if not worse.
-
Claudette gets 10 new interesting cosmetic sets that can be purchased for shards.
Child's Play Chapter
Behaviour purchases new top of the line servers to improve game performance.
Behaviour reveals they've been working on rewriting the games code from the ground up for the last 2 years and are going to move the engine to Unreal Engine 5.
Behaviour will also announce that older consoles wont be left in the dust, and while they may not be able to have the game in Unreal 5, they've been able to fix the code for Unreal 4 and make the game run a stable 60FPS.
New hiding in objects mechanic like the snowmen, only they don't tank a hit.
New map based on a beach
New emotes for killers and survivors, not dances, more like taunts.
New text wheel for solo players that has preset texts for things like "I'm going for the rescue" "help me" "don't come".

I've played a couple of games tonight with her, and some survivors just give up or kill themselves on the hook if they see me as the Artist.
I get it, she's incredibly anti-fun.. but I love playing as her, so I feel guilty playing her.. ;_;
While I hate facing her, I won't dc or give up unless I'm on hook and my three teammates are hiding behind rocks across the map and not making any indication of doing gens or rescuing me.
You shouldn't feel bad for playing her. The devs made her to be played and you should enjoy her before her inevitable nerf comes. It's not like your opponents feel guilty for the perks they choose or the strong loops and tiles they run around or feel guilty sabotaging hooks or blinding you.
-
I hate her. I hate how she looks, I really hate how she sounds and all the constant hoarse cawing she does and I hate the fact that she's the new killer that the pre-nerf Freddy players flocked to. It's the same thing, spam power as much as possible and tunnel hooks the second someone gets rescued.
-
I hated it when it first came out, but it grows on you. It really only sucks against Nurse and Doctor.
-
Somewhat as survivor. While I don't think anyone but the devs have the right to dictate how players should play, it's getting boring with the sudden increase of camping and tunneling. I hope the devs figure out a solution for it without nerfing killers.
Only way I ever have fun as killer is when I farm. Otherwise, it just feels like a sweat fest.
-
Claudette.
The fear and misery that she can inflict upon her opponents are legendary.
Her fragility when(if) captured balances her out.
On a serious not, I always thought Demopuppy was well balanced, he was a force to be reckoned with if he was in the hands of a good player.
-
Back in my early days of Dbd, I was playing my Trappi Boi and performed horribly. It was probably my 5th or 6th match as killer and I had NoEd. I killed one survivor by tunneling them out when all the gens were complete. His teammate wasn't too pleased and took her sweet time t-bagging me at the exit gate. So just started messing around with movements, hoping to lower her guard. She got a little too far from the gate, not realizing I have a speed boost from NoEd, and I downed and hooked her.
-
@Yatol said:
tell me how would you nerf SWF without hurting solo?

-
I recommend you use Lightborn over Starstruck. When I notice the killer has Starstruck, I avoid being near them and focus on gens rather than rescue and I’d think other survivors who are better than me would do the same.
With Lightborn, you can pretend that you don’t have it and just let the survivors think they’re not using flashlights properly by tilting your head in a direction away from the light. Many of them are stubborn and would keep trying to blind you, giving you a free hit, though the wiser ones would figure it out eventually.
With really annoying survivors, whose obvious goal isn’t to play the game but rather, to annoy the killer, you can pretend to afk so they can all gather around you. You can then get a couple of free hits.
