This. Anytime that I used to play dbd, I would always have to set my messages received to "friends only", because humans are petty animals.

Please don't insult animals like that again. Do these kitties deserve to be compared to humans?

  • Spirit would probably be the most consistent and strongest killer. I want to say Twins only because I enjoy the sounds little Vicky makes and don't hear them enough since there are only like 3 Twins mains.

I won't lie, but I hate the taste of sumac. Anything else you can substitute it with?

You can just omit the sumac and roast the livers with onions, salt, garlic and red pepper flakes. If you want to spruce it up a little more, some allspice is nice, but that's only if you like it. A little bit of cumin and ginger is tasty too, but I don't think it works with allspice.

Also, sorry for derailing your thread, I'll stop now.

Well chloroform is an acquired taste but it's delicious with fava beans and liver

I dunno about chloroform, but roasted chicken liver seasoned with sumac is delicious. Cooked fava beans mashed with garlic, lemon juice, cumin, salt, pepper, tahini and a side of fresh pita bread is also delicious.

*laughs in the gate was open and moreover the hatch was nearby and the killer didnt notice because he was camping every survivor to death*

*laughs in i dont like to run unbreakable but if its whats needed to be spiteful and petty then hold my clown juice*

    Apple Juice > Clown Juice.

  • As long as the survivor didn't sandbag or lead the killer to anyone, I don't think it can be described as working with the killer. The killer probably thought that survivor was a baby potato or thought they were a cutie pie. When I played killer, I'd let certain survivors (Shirtless Davids) live even if they followed me around.

Tbf that’s more a problem with bubbi boi than with bt. I’d rather not accidentally overbuff it because 1 killer makes it redundant

I agree with you once again! Rather than buffing it, I think reworking it to remove collision from the survivor as well as a 3 second sprint burst to give them a chance at resetting would be fine. This way, Bubbi Boi can't easily down them, it wouldn't be much different for other killers and survivors won't be able to weaponize it like they currently do.

  • @dictep said:

Killers complaint about snowmen. So probably next will be the grass or some trees

That was a legitimate complaint since it gave survivors an extra health state.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Not needed imo. The perk is fine as is

I disagree, it's fine as is versus every killer except Bubbi Boi.

  • Is this normal for you, having nothing to say on the subject matter and attacking/insulting people who don’t agree with you?

Seriously? I'm honestly asking. It's usually full of killers doing this. I do see survivors crying on here, but nowhere near the levels of killer posts...

Yes, seriously. And usually, when they can’t argue they fall back on “you’re just a killer main” or “killer forum, blah blah blah”.

  • @dictep said:

You know this is a killers forum where killers cry 24/7, don’t you?

I see just as much, if not more, survivors crying about killers and calling for nerfs.

Anyways, @OP, people have the right to complain about a game and still like to play it. I just wish they had more constructive arguments rather than “such and such is OP, plz nerf”.

  • @Pulsar said:

Does it count if I play Steve AND Jonathan?

Yes, because they both hard to resist.

  • I'd like for this to become a reality. They cold go with season 1's main baddie The Master and introduce Willow as a survivor with some new boons. While I'd love to play as Buffy, it would be super underwhelming if I couldn't be able to fly kick a killer in the head. Spike being a survivor could work too, especially if they could give him a few spoken lines so we can hear his lovely voice.

The map could be a cemetery with a few mausoleums. While the school could be neat, we have Midwich and honestly, I hate indoor maps, especially after the release of RPD.

Please no Supernatural, while I enjoyed it for a time, it got overly repetitive and caused me a lot of burn out waiting for its story to finally conclude. If it were to be a thing, Castiel better be a survivor or I will riot.

If this game had DE(The ones who do Warframe) as a developer instead, this game would be phenomenal.

That game has had graphical updates, gameplay updates, new things added constantly, like large scale things added like whole worlds, while still adding new Warframes and weapons. They did a complete revamp of their whole melee system. And the game is only 3 years older than DBD. They have a lot of changes that were made, including balance changes, due to actual community feedback. They have community skins and cosmetics that were created by players that they added to the game.

If DBD had a studio like that? This game would be unstoppable.

Oh, how nice it would be. And all I'm asking for is slippery floors, some pools of water to hide or wade through and maybe some lava. It would be nice if they would revamp this game, it could be so much more.

  • @Yatol said:

no i try to make builds around a survivor's teachable.

That's actually a neat way of playing, though time consuming. I don't have the patience for it though.

  • @Advorsus said:

That DBD needs to be moved to a better engine and needs a revamp of graphics and game mechanics.

And that the lack of any changes to core gameplay is due to the developers own laziness and lack of skill, rather than an impossibility or limitation of technology. As we've seen many many other games that are a lot more graphically intense, with way more content, from even smaller studios.

A different unpopular opinion, I'd prefer the game being more of a horror game rather than a party game like it currently is. Even if it meant I survive a lot less. Currently when I'm playing survivor, especially with friends, it feels like we're the power house of the game rather than the killer. And they're just a kind of added feature to occasionally interrupt my skill check simulator. You could remove all player killers and only have it against AI, and it wouldn't feel any different to me, and I don't like that lol

I actually agree with everything you say. I wonder what this game would be like if it had a different set of developers.

Of all the survivors, if Claudette didn't exist, Cheryl would be my main. I love her looks and voice, just wish she wasn't licensed so we could have more cosmetics.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

I like to switch builds often and i'm not going to the grind again to get another character have all perks.

I have to much grind left on my killers

Yes, this too. I can't bring myself to get all perks on all characters, though Claudette being the best wouldn't change if I did. Who do you play as?

  • @dspaceman20 said:

I main 2 survivors, Adam and Elodie. I like Adam because I can relate to him in a lot of ways and Elodie because she is stylish

I am jealous of Elodie's cosmetics, she really is stylish. Adam is a cutie pie, but he's too big for me to play, I've always preferred the more petite characters in any game I played.

  • It's not just a health patch to fix stupid issues like how dead hard currently works (it really sucks from a killers perspective) or the many bugs that need to be fixed. The devs need to improve core mechanics and better balance the game without band-aid fixing everything with perks. Maps and loops need to be improved and equally fair for both sides.

New mechanics need to be introduced to keep the game fresh and interesting, which is why the snowmen were fun. It was something new and took away from the monotony of the game. Things like icy floors that cause the character to slide around, mud that slows one down, lava that can damage you if you don't watch where you step, water that you can hide in for short periods of time until your breath runs out and so on should be brought into the game. Solutions to gen rushing and face camping also need to be implemented into the core game as well.

  • @Myla said:

Actually new killers is what the kept the game is alive believe it or not. Ever wondered why this game somehow lived despite being in a God awful state ages ago? That's how. I think you're just bored at the game, It's been five years after all. Five years is a long time for a game like DBD so if the game suddenly tanked in player base they pretty much got their money's worth off this game.

By the way I'm just being logical about this, I want an Operation Health for the game as well but the playerbase would probably decline by then lol.

If done right, they can keep players and bring in new ones with Operational Health if they manage their resources properly. Rather than 4 new killers a year, they can scale it back to two if they can get some big name licenses such as the Xenomorph from Aliens and Jason (I know legal issues, this is just an example) while also creating a separate group of dedicated developers who focus on the health of the game, though they would probably just have to write the code from the ground up with how bad it currently is.

The question is will the corporate suits ever allow for such a thing to happen?

Those were mostly for his playstyle altering addons and not vanilla Myers iirc

They're probably afraid to touch base kit Myers. Survivors will riot if they over tune him and killers would riot if they nerf him shortly afterwards.

  • He recently had an add-on pass. I'm too lazy and distracted to look up what they were, but they did buff something.

  • pp.jpg

    I feel stupid

  • As a killer, she was fun against average teams and terrible against sweaty swf teams who knew how and when to disarm my webs.

As a survivor, I liked how she forced players to slow down and not rush everywhere and it made my use of Urban Evasion shine. Unfortunately, I only play solo queue and 97% of teammates don't know how to counter her and just set of her traps and go down in 5 seconds.

  • @ThanksForDaily said:

In a recent stream, devs said they have a solution idea for facecamping killers.

    Hope it goes live soon.

I don’t remember them saying they found a solution. How recent is the stream? Can you provide a links. From my memory they mentioned they’re trying to come up with ways to “discourage” face camping, not outright nerf it or prevent killers from doing so.

  • When I have the nerve to play killer, usually for rift challenges, Trapper is the only one I can play as. I hate chasing survivors who know how to loop well. It's just so frustrating going around the same wall or rock three times only to get stunned or forced to break a strong pallet while the survivor just runs to the next strong loop. Trapper helps minimize this frustration. Also, the sound of the SNAP! of a trap and the following scream of the survivor who stepped into it is delicious, especially if it was in a trap that was in an obscure location.

When I need blood points, I'll choose Doctor because I like his laugh and most survivors don't mind farming with him. Demopuppy is tied with him, his cuteness factor is irresistible to survivors.

To be fair, that ain't the majority of the survivors player base. But that this even got this kind of traction is quite astounding... Or not, depending on how cynical your view of the dbd community is :P

Maybe I'll start a rage thread about how OP and toxic urban evasion is and just see how many peeps will run with it?

You leave Urban Evasion alone! It is perfect as is and I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if the devs ruin it. It was hard enough for me when I removed Self Care from my perks.

On Twitter and Reddit it's spreading around that "Lightborn" is overpowered. Who in the right mind thinks that.

Spirit for one had good arguments on why she wasn't fun to go against which they fixed later on. Now people have zero excuse when being destroyed by a spirit player.

But Lightborn? A reworked perk that ended up still being a niche perk.

It only counters Flashbangs and Flashlights, both are which are not exactly that practical to use every time and is more of a nuisance than an actual threat at times.

My point was you shouldn't be surprised how low players will go. While I don't think Lightborn is overpowered, boosted survivors who think they're entitled to blind the killer do. And yes, they're not trolling, they're seriously seething at the thought of not being able to mess with the killer however they want. They did the same with Franklin's Demise, going so far as to say killers are toxic for trying to counter their items.

Nothing should surprise anyone on these forums.

  • You must be new around here. Players from both sides complain about everything they can. Anything to buff their chosen role and nerf their opponents.

  • It's honestly not that great of a perk. I don't think it needs a nerf or anything, I actually like being on my toes when the last gen pops, but it really is only good against over confident or bad players. It doesn't usually take long to find the lit totem, and even if it does (looking at RPD), I always have the option to let the killer get their (usually) one kill while I leave through the exit gate.

It functions a lot like survivor perks in that it keeps us questioning whether or not if the killer has it, just like how killers have to consider if survivors are running DS, BT, DH and UB and play around them even if they don't have it. Only difference is, survivors have the option to completely remove it from the match if they stealthed around and did totems, they also have the option to just leave and not take the risk.

  • My survivor queues are still the same. Instant before 7PM and 5-10 minutes after 7PM. I don't know if they get longer after 8PM, I stop playing before then.

  • Victor should be able to t-bag survivors that he downs.

Charlotte should be able to grab on to Victor and launch him at survivors like a missile.

You don't even realize it but you proved the game is killer sided. MMR is supposed to give everyone a 2E possibility. The fact that killers have an advantage at all levels except for a coordinated team or when all 4 survivors are tournament level players shows how bad the game favors the killer.

If I am camped and tunneled, how am I supposed to keep my MMR high?

You can't say the game is killer sided when only SWF is able to play at high MMR. I don't have 3 other players bodyblocking and taking hits for me while one person is a gen technician.

Imagine telling someone that has played the game for 5 years they are bad at the game. I remember playing with you one time and you were the first to die at 3 gens still remaining. I think you are a killer main and occasionally losing to SWF and claiming the game is killer sided.

Lol, as if me dying at three gens is indicative of anything. You're more than welcome to look up my post history, you'd find that I state multiple times that I'm bad at the game, especially at looping the killer and that prefer stealth play. I remember playing with you several times and one time really stood out, you went down before the first gen got completed, I really think it was less than 30 seconds into the match, and you know what you did? You couldn't handle loss and DC'd. I remember it clearly because I checked your profile which was filled with negative comments about your performance and selfishness. You want to keep your MMR high? Stop being bad and DCing when things don't go your way. Learn how to loop and make yourself as unattractive a target as possible so the killer would stop wasting time on you and go after someone else. If that's too hard for you, play stealthily like I do, but don't be useless and help your teammates out when its needed. I do just fine playing like this, sure, I don't win every match, but I understand that I don't need to nor am I entitled to.

Killers only have an advantage over you 1vs1. When its four good players, not tournament level, against a similarly skilled killer, the survivors have the advantage. This face only shines through more at higher ranks. MMR can't fix poor play. Lower ranked survivors will consistently do poorly until they learn the game, it's the only time the killer has the advantage against survivors, not because they're OP, but because the survivors don't work together. Heck, many of the times they don't even do objectives and just hide.

And finally, no, I'm not a killer main, never have been and never will be. I've dabbled in it and play it from time to time when I have a bad streak playing survivor, but it's not my cup of tea. It's too stressful and a lot more difficult than players like you want everyone to believe. I purchased this game because one of my coworkers got me into it so I can play with them and I've been hooked to my Claudette ever since.

Well, I played 8 matches this morning -solo- and every match was a total bloodbath except against a new pig that was playing because of a daily they said. I am only 25% of my team, I am responsible for my loses? I don't think you are winning 50%. You are playing against bad killers in your server.

You're probably losing so much because you're terrible at the game, therefore have low MMR and get matched with equally terrible teammates. Everyone knows that in low ranks, killers have an advantage, but not because the game is killer sided, but because survivors in low ranks are bad and don't know how to do anything.

As if killers have any better advice other than "nerf survivors" or "git gud". What if I said if killers can't down a survivor in 10 seconds they need to git gud? Killers should refrain from dictating how the game should be. This is why only SWF can win.

There is no advice to be given to OP so I offered what is the truth. Nothing can be done for solo survivors. The game is against them.

There is plenty of advice to give to the OP as evidenced by all the other posts in this thread.

Plenty can be done for solo players. I only play solo and escape about 50% of my matches. Most of my losses are due to useless teammates not doing anything or trying to go for flashlight saves rather than doing gens.

You’re just bad, trolling or both.

This thread had nothing to do with killers or survivors dictating how the game should be, it was just asking for advice and you, in your typical brain dead fashion, had to go off topic and cry “killer bad need nerf, buff survivor”.

  • @Sluzzy said:

Buff survivors massively so they have an actual standing to last longer than 10 seconds or nerf killers.

First, the OP asked for advice, which you provided none of. Secondly, if you can’t last more than 10 seconds against a killer that isn’t a top tier Nurse, then the problem isn’t the game, it’s you and you shouldn’t refrain from dictating what the game should be like.

  • Insidious isn’t there. Why you lie?!

  • I’m hoping they have a surprise event for the weekend. I know I shouldn’t after being let down multiple times in the past, but I can’t help it.

  • The T-1000 would fit perfectly in this game. Legendary skin should be the T-X model from Terminator 3 and the survivor should be the T-800.

If they could make Trickster fit in this game, they sure as hell can make this happen.

1 … 53 54 55 56 57 … 101
