Thematic weather effects would be a great addition.

I'd like to see a swamp thing kind of killer or maybe some old diving suit killer that comes with an old lighthouse and pier coastal map set in a lightening storm.

I’ve been replaying Bioshock 1 for Halloween. How amazing would it be to get a Big Daddy as a Killer and Rapture as new map?

  • The same issue is happening on PS4 unfortunately.

  • I am experiencing the same issues on PS4. I would play on PS5 if I could transfer my account over.

Collectors edition board game, a hoody, the YouTooz, the comics to date, and a Feng genipop on preorder. I'd like to get the statues at some point. I've been looking at some of the plushies too.

    Wait what??? Comics?!?!….. 😳🤯😍

  • Plague. Reason being is that selfishly she’s my favorite.

But my non-selfish answer would have to be Michael Myers. Myers and DBD are inseparable in my mind.

  • I love the event.

The Void is so much fun. When entering it as a Survivor there’s definitely tension involved. I never know if the Killer will be there or not. Vice versa for the Killer, there is an excitement that happens when finding a Survivor in the Void.

Earning souls while repairing generators is also highly satisfying. The haunts are a fun mechanic. The haste benefit feels worthwhile because of how long it lasts.

The rewards look so great. Meg’s outfit is so cool looking. The colors and shape of the jacket along with the jacket and jacket lapels evoke a heavy autumn comfort. It’s just so cool, with the tie being such a perfect touch. I especially think the tie having stains and frays is such a neat detail.

The Void Collection is now one of my favorite collections. The theme of ghostly horror is always a delight to see visited. The DBD team’s version of this theme works so incredibly well that it has reawoken my interests to the ghostly aspect of horror. To everyone that worked on the colors, thank you so much. The synergy of the color palate is highly satisfying.

Every single new cosmetic is a home run. The skeleton shirts are obviously stylish, the Killer candy weapons definitely succeed in that weird Hansel and Gretel surreal horror. It mixes whimsey with the reality of the existential nightmare the Survivors find themselves. The charms speak for themselves. It’s easy to see how Little Sweetie will be a favorite.

The costumes may be the payoff but the journey to getting them is pleasant. It’s enjoyable that the challenges aren’t taxing and stressful. They can be completed comfortably without an exaggerated effort of skill.

Overall the event is a 10/10 for me. There’s just so much that I love. The Void finally being seen for the first time. The devilishly stylish cosmetics and pleasant challenges. The new gameplay itself creating new strategic opportunities. It’s amazing. Thank you to every single person who poured their heart into this- it shows. As a fan of horror; THANK YOU!!!

PS: The Pumpkins are creepy, I love them. I imagine they chase after you like the metal sphere from the Phantasm. Also, the turquoise and black color pallet used for the event is absolutely perfect.

  • @UndeddJester said:

Anyone else just breaking off of survivors mid chase to smash demonic pumpkins and occassionally just going for a wander through the void because raisins?

If you want to win, ignore the event... that's probably sound advice for all events going forward. If you wanna have a laugh... jump in a blue tornado. I might even sit in the void permanently one game and slap anyone who comes in, like an angry farmer kicking the local children kids out of his crop field :D

    That’s hilarious! Great idea

  • Thank you to everyone at Behavior for all the hard work and love put into the event. It’s so awesome! I love it!!!

Well i guess i'm more support than anything, my main build is a little weird.

I use Any Means Necessary until the day people realise how busted and dare i say low-key OP that perk is, it allows you to track chases and used pallets across the map unlike WoOs 32m range and reset them too which will often take Killers by surprise during a chase later, its WoO 2.0 if you have good enough map knowledge to know vault spots and pay attention rather than auto-pilot like most WoO users.

Other than that i use We'll make it for saves and quick heals and lightweight cause with this build you are running around a lot and this makes it quite a bit safer and gives you some opportunities for some jukes.

4th perk is more or less a wildcard like OTR, Bond or Distortion.

    Neat combination!

What do you call it? Support class?

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/393857/do-survivors-want-killers-or-party-clowns

I fear the games is going down the party clown route. I don't think people that play dbd are actual horror fans, so they don't understand what a killer is suppose to be like. I would say the clue is in the name. But I think that would go over peoples heads.

It’s sad. I love horror. I was brought to this game because of my love for horror. All I want as a Killer is to make the matches scary, thrilling and exciting for the Survivors like a horror movie

However it doesn’t really feel that way. It feels like the Survivors are always bored when I play. I’m not a good Killer by any means but I still at least want the game to feel heart-pounding for the Survivors. They complete generators so fast that by the time I have 1-3 hooks the exit gates are open. Feeling like a punching bag as Killer doesn’t feel very horror themed to me in the slightest. Yes the Survivors will run away when I approach, but just barely, just out of reach.

I don’t even mind it when all of the Survivors escape since that happens in some scary movies. However, overall the Survivors as a generalized whole do not seem to fear the Killer anymore. Again as someone who loves the horror genre this makes me pretty sad considering how many awesome horror elements exist within the game.

Try doing it on the coal tower maps with the xenomorph queen

and also run in circles around the survivors working on gens before they spot you for the jumpscare/startle element hehehee

I’m getting too happy thinking about doing this lol 😂 Great suggestion!

    Object of Obsession

I’ve been running this one lately! It’s so good. You can make the Killer think you are going one way, then change directions after it wears off. Plus it’s so great to constantly be keeping tabs on where the Killer is. This perk helped me so much when it came to learning not to be afraid of the Killer lol.

  • @GolbezGarlandGabrant said:

Dark Devotion. I find it a fun way to have stealth. I enjoy the amount of times I get a gen grab or seemingly scaring the pants off unexpecting survivors.

That perk is so perfect for scaring the Survivors 😂

  • @Rulebreaker said:

If we get only one from both sides it would be franklins. We really do just love making survivors drop items, then we watch as many choose their item over their life.

It’s so funny as Survivor when you suddenly realize you’re not carrying your item anymore. It’s even funnier when you see that another Survivor picked up and used the item you dropped earlier in the match 😂

  • @UndeddJester said:

For Survivor - Tenacity - I love slinking away while a Killer slugs then watching them in the distance cricling round looking for me.

For Killer - Hysteria - Not that good, but for some reason I really enjoy trying to make builds around it... the odd moments where a survivor thinks they've ditched me, just for me to pop up elsewhere are great.

I have always wanted to make a build centered around Tenacity, I’ve just never gotten around to it.

A Hysteria build honestly sounds like a lot of fun.

  • @Nightmarefan said:

On Killer I can't run without Iron Grasp, the moment I do heres comes Boil Over gamers which can be really frustrating(I play on ps4).

On Survivor I almost never play without Distortion since I hate being the 1st targeted.

I am with you 1000000% on Iron Grasp. It’s always in my Killer kit no matter what. I tried running without it a couple of times but was too spoiled by having it. There is so much going on as Killer that the last thing I want to do is worry about making it to a hook in time.

  • @CatnipLove said:

For survivor it has to be Calm Spirit. I played against Doctor when I first starting playing two years ago, and immediately added it to my loadout after the match. Avoiding having all that noise pumped into my head is my number one priority. It's terrible with headphones on.

For Killer it's gotta be Nurse's Calling. I don't know why more people don't run this perk, it provides almost universal value throughout the match.

I enjoyed Calm Spirit with Jake more than I thought. It felt great knowing he wouldn’t scream. Plus, I underestimated how good it was to not set the crows off.

  • @Venusa said:

Bond! I feel so lost when I don't have it 😭 and I always get value from it no matter what.

I won’t lie, after leaving Dwight and his perks behind to try new ones it felt pretty weird/lonely when I stopped using Bond.

  • @Juicyman said:

Hex: Plaything is probably my favourite and I think it's one of the best designed perks in the game since it:

    • Encourages hooking all different survivors.
    • Gives Oblivious, one of the few effects that make the game even just a little scarier.
    • Provides a secondary objective in having to cleanse up to four totems which is nice, earned, slowdown.
    • Or risk ignoring the totems for a more tense experience which is usually pretty fun to play around.

I need to try that! It sounds really fun! I LOVE scaring the Survivors.

and weirdly enough I sometimes just add this to my builds without any perk synergy which often renders it useless most of the time but it still looks cool

Yeah I agree, it does look pretty cool.

I feel the same as you. Halloween is so fun. There’s a strange coziness during this spooky time of the year.

On a separate note I think a new level based around an underwater grotto would be so cool.

That's the thing I like about killer. Win or lose, I know that the outcome was largely in my hands. I also like that I'm basically guaranteed a decent amount of bloodpoints. I hate the discrepancy in bloodpoints between the two roles too. Even when survivors get the 100% bonus, I know that 9 times out of 10 I'm better off playing killer. Even if none of what I previously mentioned was a factor, I just like the role more. It's more fun running around whacking people then it is running around being the one whacked.

Except in my case I’m still the one who gets hit by every pallet in the entirety of the Entity’s imagination.

Another forum member posted this last week. Behaviour has got to be trolling the whole community with these DC BOTS 😂

    https://youtu.be/gaSl75X8NuE?si=14qF5Tbdp50H2TFo

    That bot! Lmao! 🤣🤣🤣

You see! They always know where the hatch is! Lmao smh 😂

  • @tjt85 said:

I remember a Renato trying to hide in a bush on Borgo in that extra colourful outfit of his. That was never going to work, my friend. His last ditch effort to save his sister from the hook warmed my heart though. I didn't let him save her, but I did open the gates for him to crawl out.

I also got a laugh the other day watching a bot self caring under a hook against a Huntress. They often won't let you heal them and it's pretty hilarious.

Yeah! They act so quirky huh?

I’ve been guilty of trying to hide in bushes with Nea’s new neon backpack from the rift ahem 😬

  • @CatnipLove said:

In solo queue there are moments that make me want to DC out of the match, but when I clip it to show a friend I end up laughing so hard as I rewatch it.

    https://youtu.be/mBa0j1iokHo

This happened a few days ago, but it still makes me laugh. Weird **** happens in DbD sometimes.

Omg! That’s awful luck! It must have been super funny for the killer lol

  • @CountOfTheFog said:

The DC BOTS and how they can destroy a perfect match, screw up every skill check, watch the team die and grab the hatch! Annoying AF! But after the anger, I can't help but to laugh out loud 😂

I think it’s so funny how the bots will tbag next to you if they want to be healed or how they always know where the hatch is 😂

  • Maybe basement challenges are bugged. I am trying to do the challenge where you hook four survivors in the basement using Agitation and it won’t register for me.

  • My favorite Survivor would have to be Nea. I love her black pixie cut cosmetic because it reminds me of when I use to have a pixie cut. Also, I can relate to acting out for not wanting to move.

Second would have to be Yun-Jin Lee. She has the coolest blazer jacket cosmetics. Her latest jacket unlock in the rift is just so cool I almost can’t take it.

Honorable mentions would go to Yui and Detective Tapp because they’re such badasses.

Last but not least to Rebecca Chambers because she just seems so sweet.

  • If I am next to the exit gate and it is open you will never see me again.

  • Same! It’s not working on PSN either.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

They can’t. Do you realize how bad it would look if they did? It would set a precedent of “Oh, you don’t want to work with us? Okay, we’ll just make a copyright safe duplicate of the thing we worked with you to make and make money off it anyway!”

If it’s currently nearly impossible for Netflix to return to the table, that kind of stunt would make it literally impossible and possibly cause a lawsuit.

Yeah I guess you’re right. I just really really liked that map. Hopefully maybe then we get another indoor map that’s science/mad science theme without stepping on Stranger Things’ toes.

  • @CorvusCorax86 said:

Clown. I just love his laughter after a successful down. He is also the most anger-inducing killer if you are a survivor for the same reason. The confetti add-on is great for fun matches where you just want everybody to get a lot of BP and his most recent summer BBQ outfit was superb! Somehow, I also feel like he is very fast (as opposed to his obesity).

I’m with you on his laugh. It sounds so spiteful huh? “HEH HEH HEH HEH!”

And his summer BBQ was definitely a treat.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Garden Of Joy captures the eerie horror the best In dbd it’s such a pretty haunting map! The Dredge with its nightfall ability makes any map feel 10x spookier that entire chapter was honestly perfect apart from the Haddie neglect.

I agree with you about Myers still the scariest killer to face . The jump scare ones are terrifying.

I also really love the cosmetics that show the survivors are fighting against all these horrible things. The most recent sports collection had alot of detail like Megs ripped bloody sweater and stuff.

I also like when the maps have a very obvious horror movie spot like the stairs on Badham and Haddonfield I think. I seen a cool fanart that captured it pretty well I’ll post it below.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/J87CNF8JAD5U/img-4286.jpeg

Art found on Pinterest couldn’t find the original artist if anyone knows please let me know!

Yeah you’re right! Those iconic scenes from movies fit the mood so perfectly.

And I never even considered the aspect of the Survivor’s clothes being ripped/bloody implying their struggles throughout this nightmare they find themselves in. I get so used to the game sometimes that I forget that they are actually being abused by the Killer! Thanks for pointing these things out, they definitely enhance the scary feeling that I love so much about this game.

Also, I wouldn’t forgive myself if I didn’t mention the sky on Nostromo Wreckage. That huge Saturn-like planet with web around it?!… The dark blue sky juxtaposed by the off white/gray of the level itself makes me feel lost in space.

I agree with you on Dredge, what he brings to the game horror-wise is so perfect.

I want variations of Garden of Joy that have weaker loops/main building or a smaller footprint, so that there is a version of the map that doesn't favour survivors more than killers. This way, playing the offering for Garden of Joy won't be a tactical move used by SWF to secure a win, because it could just as easily backfire and spawn the 'killer sided' variation.

Do this to all unbalanced single-map realms and then map offerings are no longer a tool to troll with, they can be used genuinely to go to a realm of choice for the enjoyment of playing on that realm's aesthetic.

I don't want any realms deleted because that's just miserable, anti-fun rhetoric. Go play Golf or something.

Despite how much I play this game there are still things I have yet to catch on to, such as what maps are good or bad for different situations be it all killers, certain killers, survivors, etc.

Whenever I use map offerings as Killer I use them based off of aesthetic/where I feel like going for theming purposes. I must have confused so many Survivor teams when as Killer I use the Garden of Joy offering or some other stage offering that doesn’t make sense for the Killer I am using 😂

  • I agree, a reskin, rename, and slight tile changes to bring it back in spirit would be awesome. It could be like a mad scientist's laboratory or something. I have so many fun memories of that map.

  • Yes, but mainly to role play. Just pretend it’s a scary movie where some survivors escape sometimes. Play with the intent to scare the players and make them nervous!

  • Personally I actually love the rift/tome challenges. After playing for a long time I like to relax and read the lore.

  • I LOVE the horror genre so for me it would have to be none. I have purchased all the Killers because I like every bit of role-playing/story/design that comes with them I love their aesthetics, music, general scary feeling, everything. When I play Killer, I try to make matches scary and thrilling for people, even if they all escape sometimes 😂

  • For me I LOVE Plague. She just looks so cool. The way she walks super tall and upright gives such a creepy feeling.

Second would have to be Oni because his yell is so terrifying. Anytime I play against him I legitimately get scared. Amazing sound design.

My honorable mention would have to go to Pinhead because he legitimately scares me. I have this superstition where because he’s a dimensional traveler, he can actually arrive here in the real world; because of that I refuse to solve the puzzle box, even in the game. I’m just too scared he’ll actually appear in my room and take me away to see “such sights” 😂

  • I appreciate all the cute answers. Does anyone actually know how the data is used apart from the obvious speculation?

  • I think it can work. They can theme the killer as an alien from space. We need an extra terrestrial killer.

  • He would be like a little Legion.
