  • I don't think it's your imagination. Every time I try something new and spicy I get a direct counter to it next game. Escape more than three times in a row? The killer is going to spawn on you. Hope you're good at looping!

If you notice a lot of survivors don't bring offerings or items. I think people know it makes your games harder but nobody wants to say anything.

  • If it were up to me survivors would have swimwear clothing and killers would have more meme outfits.

Why haven't I been hired yet?

    Mr. Puddles would hire me.

  • I wonder if he enjoys eating peanuts?

  • I'm really looking forward to Mr. Puddles. Whoever made that did a great job.

  • Nurse any day of the week. I'm hard of hearing so when the huntress is around, she's always around. If there's always a terror radius, there isn't a terror radius.

Combine that with hatchets that can come at you at any point it's either really annoying or she misses every shot and everything is peachy.

Nurse is predictable. You just have to not be. Huntress can yeet hatchets across the map towards generators and hooked allies.

    Just icky.

  • I thought of a pretty good one.

The Plague - Morning Sickness Maternity Wear collection

Just dress her up in maternity wear stuff. Like, things expectant moms buy for no reason because they're all excited but then barf all over their clothes every time they eat something.

  • It's random. Sometimes the killer spawns on you, sometimes you wonder where they were all game.

When I'm really trying to win I'll use Decisive, Borrowed, Self Care (I play solo, if you two can heal each other drop that one for something else) and a free perk that fits my mood. (usually map info)

Kindred imo is planning for failure. Better to not be hooked at all. Is that realistic? Maybe, maybe not, but it's a good mindset for tryharding.

  • On top of that, ever since like...rift loop 12, the GUI keeps coming up at 12 and then jumps to like 23 or whatever I'm on now. I know it's all visual, but ;/

  • New Perk: Dad Sneeze

Makes every crow on the map take off at once and jumpscares every player.

There. Combine that with this scratchmark bomb and lose every killer every time.

  • The entity impales her struggling victim, strapped on a meat hook with a blood curdling scream.

The survivor stares down at the pool of blood as red pours down his body, and as life ebbs he says a word you can't say on television.

The entity starts crying and releases the survivor.

"He said a bad word I don't want it anymore."

  • I play a lot of games and dbd is in my rotation.

Behavior is better than Nexon, but I play three games from Nexon and only this one from Behavior. Blizzard is committing PR suicide lately but I used to like them.

Daybreak is more interactive. EverQuest is a great game. Crate entertainment's Grim Dawn is fantastic and while their dlc is more expensive than dbds you see a lot of free updates.

Valve games don't disappoint me. Tf2 could use some hacker repellant though.

Mojang/Microsoft is pretty spot on with how they're taking care of Minecraft. I spent 20 bucks 10 years ago, loving these free updates.

There's a ton of abandonware, I don't see why deathgarden closed instead of going peer to peer but whatever.

So yeah. Behavior is better than Nexon. Not exactly a compliment but an undeniable truth.

  • I've never disconnected over bbq, that's a new and weird one to me. Same killer side, my clown runs bbq and I've never had someone dc on him. (Or in general tbh)

I think in about 800 hours of play according to steam I've disconnected about 6 times I think? All survivor side. I get why it happens. If the killer spawns on top of you and tunnels why stay? Enjoy your bbq stack I guess, I must go my people need me.

You give points for people leaving. I thought that was enough?

  • Yeah. Its probably better than getting penalized.

  • I play clown a lot. The only thing I would really give him is a really tiny red tricycle he can pull out with left ctrl that plays circus music and helps him move faster. Maybe he can't throw bottles while using it and laughs periodically while riding it.

Can still hit people though. Tricycle for long stretches, bottles for loops.

    Honk honk.

Thank you for this advice. I will put it to the test. I also looked up the thread. Filled with great stuff.

Looking forward to seeing some pretty sick plays!

  • I fall under expert somehow (when did that happen?)

I think a lot of skill level is mental. A new player will hide from heartbeats, be afraid to move etc, or as killer afraid to search for other survivors.

When the fear fades, experience grows.

Edit: One of the tricks I like is to stand still without insidious during chase when you're out of view. They expect you to come around one side or the other...but in certain spots you can make them panic and flee into a less safe position.

  • I have no room for real life toys but I like the concept of them being available.

...then again you might have to explain to people that your characters come from Super Smash Bros horror edition

  • Lol I'm the only one calling for a nerf. Really though. Head trap rng stinks. Give her more trap types or something. I haaaate when I don't see the pig after my trap starts and I die to time out. Feels bad.

  • My killer, because most of my wins from killer come from asking myself what my survivor would do in this situation. My entire playstyle is balanced around countering myself.

If I knew the map though and all pallets were up I know how to run them, so assuming no dead zones I could probably handle it survivor side.

  • I mean, they all start broken don't they? As long as a killer or something else doesn't bother me I can usually fix it in like a min or two, faster if I have help.

  • Tossing my thoughts in. There are a lot of games I see as both survivor or killer where all the survivors are dead and the generators aren't done.

Sometimes none of them are done.

I have also been a part of games where we just busted generators and the killer ended the game with like 6000 blood points.

The longer the game takes, the more likely you are to die. I'm gonna die on this hill I know but if the killer wasn't so threatening I wouldn't feel like this gen most turn on now or I die.

What games do killers win? The ones where people were doing totems and slithering around. What games do killers lose? Run to the gen, pop it or we die.

    Just saying.

  • I bought Susies mask and torso when legion came out because I wanted to play as her.

I dunno. I don't buy often because I'm normally switching it up and I don't want to feel like I spent ten bucks on something I'll only wear once a month lol.

  • Right now it's Dwight survivor side and the clown killer side.

    Is fun.

  • David just freaking popped into existence. It permanently injured him but he's just too strong for child birth.

    No mother no problem.

  • I think it has to do with frames per second. Like, the more junk on your screen the less fps you have so it gets choppy.

If you know the killer's off playing tag with another survivor just stare at the ground for smooth skill checks.

  • There are so many killers now its kinda hard to remember what each of them do. I know for some people they have all the stuff memorized but sometimes I can have staring contests with megs while playing Myers.

    It's a thing.

  • I wouldn't mind an actually hot killer like a succubus or a siren or even a handsome one like a vampire or prince charming but the only one on the cast that even has a full face is Susie I think.

Huntress is fine until you realize she has like, no eyes. Zombie Russian.

  • Shaggy as a survivor, Scooby cries by the hook if he dies and alerts you to killers.

Killer could be um, the guy from Rocky and Bullwinkle.

  • @Mo4ntus said:

They need to lower her terror radius so monitor isn’t a requirement also would be nice if they found a way to compensate her for the loss of the end gate kill lost with the endgame update. Maybe a kind of special pallet or window trap that requires survivors to hit a skill check the first time vault otherwise they become injured maybe some kind of gen trap

I like this. Pig is okay but rng is infuriating for both parties. I hate playing her for the same reason op states, and I hate playing against her because if rng doesn't like you its head pop time. Cool game bro.

I wouldn't even be mad if my survivor got his hands stuck in a generator because I didn't see the trap on it placed on a different side of the generator and got pulled off by the pig.

I'd laugh if I got stuck in a window. I like the jigsaw boxes so keep them but use them for something else. Maybe let pig reload her traps there and let survivors interact with them to sabotage them for a few minutes.

I dread the pig for all the wrong reasons.

  • Pig. You just hit mouse 2 to win. Traps put everyone out of position.

  • Make the babysitter perk force your character to punch the killer in the face to stun them for five seconds and fixate their vision on you if the killer arrives at the unhook for 3 seconds after you pull the survivor down. Boom, fixed.

  • There's a game called Identity V by the same company that has a character called The Mind's Eye. She's a blind survivor.

It's doable. Goes against the grain of survivors in this game just being reskins, but its doable.

  • I have all killers and survivors at level 50, bought them all. As mentioned above though I have played a long time and buying something every 3 months isn't really an issue.

I don't play enough for shards but I like fidgeting around with the new powers and getting the adept achievement.

  • I like the original killers because I have a feeling the team builds around the power first then gives a shape to the slasher during development, but with licensed you get the slasher, then you have to build a power that works in universe.

Oh you also have to be careful not to make them pay to win so you'll never see a licensed killer in the same league as nurse or spirit or with a perk like ruin.

Don't look at Mettle of Man. They learned, I think.

    Edit: Or Decisive Strike.

  • I like to imagine between trials (or maybe even during) survivors and killers are trying to find a way to escape permanently or hinder the entity. You kind of see it with like, Vigo and the lore notes left by people we haven't had in the game yet etc, but I mean survivors and killers actively yet subtly protesting.

Oops I let that survivor get the hatch. Oops they escaped. Oh no how awful.

Then you just have Myers that doesn't care and just tombstones people.

  • It happens to me too, and has led to me basically writing the equivalent of dad jokes on those posts.

I like the game, don't get me wrong, and I do like the forums but seeing articles regarding stocks, world happenings, the dow and such only to be followed by 'survivors aren't dead why is this?' is kinda annoying.

  • Dwight for many of the reasons stated above, but to be honest I think if Dwight escaped, he'd get help and try to get back to save everyone else. He's not the kind of guy to leave people to die.

Killer side Evan/Trapper. The poor dude has hooks sticking out his body from being tortured. He does NOT want to be there.

Dwight/Evan team to rescue everyone else when?

  • Lately it's pig. I swear I'm never watching another saw movie again. Heckin' right click to win I swear. Rng is rng sure, but ugh.

  • Meh. No Mither completely counters plague, NOED, other one shot downs, feral frenzy, sloppy butcher, and the list goes on.

Really having everyone run such an OP perk is gonna be a nightmare for killers.

  • Hag trap styles in the shop nao kthx. Don't let your memes be dreams!

  • Oh god. I'm such a meme when I play killer. I don't camp or tunnel, if you drop your item in front of me I'll nod at you and abandon the chase (but attack if you pick it back up).

I usually let the last survivor go. Back then it was because I didn't want to pip and face tryhards but now it's just fun to stare people down as they crawl out of the exit gate or towards the hatch.

As survivor I usually play really sloppily if it's about to be a 4man escape so the killer doesn't feel sad, and I don't run meta perks. I also won't let go if the exit gates are open so my three surviving teammates will risk a late hook save and give the killer a chance to recover.

Hey, I made it to end game, I got my points. I'm not out to ruin anyone's good time. I just want it reciprocated sometimes.

  • I like Decisive + No Mither + Tenacity + Unbreakable when I'm in that kind of mood.

Babysitter + Borrowed time + botany Knowledge + Self care is another one I like when doing hero runs. You have to be the person to save everyone off all hooks. No dead hard or safety nets. Come and get me killer.

Perkless default dweet can be fun, but the killers may fall in love with you.

    Hope that's a little help.

  • I completed it, all characters and everything. I really enjoyed it, but killer side I'm more Ghostface/Myers/Legion so playing Spirit and Doctor was out of my comfort zone, but I did the deeds.

I think I'm level 17 or something. (next item to get is Jane's charm, like 3 tiers away) I just don't have a lot of time to play video games and have been memeing on these forums for fun. I doubt I'll finish the rift in its entirety so my goal is to have the Mr. Puddles body suit by the time I finish level 4.

  • Take all of my upvotes forever, for I am no longer worthy of keeping them to myself.

    Be free, be free!

Have you eaten an apple recently? If so, it has mated with your DNA & is slowly making your body more apple like, you will soon hear from everything, then eventually you will see everything from everywhere, but worry not, you won't mind, for an apple does not care, an apple does not need to care, for they are but a fruit

At last I truly see. You are the eggplant to my oyster and I bow to your sagely door hinge.

  • You have a limited stock of flashlights from the bloodweb and your battery only has so much juice in it so uh, both.

  • I'd play it. Daylight map when.

  • Any challenge with flashlights is torture and you only get so many.

All I can do is give cheerleader support.
