Hey @Peanits you have great constructive criticism, any comments on my options maybe? I love Basement perks and this one needs love lol
-
This is funny because when Ace was first released I thought he was a private investigator, when I actually played the game I was very disappointed.
-
I'm not a Survivor Main but it is good for Balanced Landing, it's huge which is bad for slow killers, the main house has some nice nooks to crouch hide in which has fooled me sometimes, it's harder to get to each Gen and know which one is being worked on in the beginning because of the distance between etc. Other than that I don't know, I love the map myself but it's for aesthetic reasons and not optimal plays.
-
That build literally sounds like how Franklin died in the first movie lol, he heard something but couldn't quite tell if he did or where it was until Leatherface put a saw right in his chest.

@HatCreature I make good use of it for Ambush Bubbah. M&A, Bitter Murmur, Ruin, and Tinkerer. Nothing like no terror radius and then suddenly a Leatherface with a screaming saw in your face.Oh that sounds magical

-
It is annoying that when I use Trapper the first match I always get is Coldwind Farm, specifically Rotten Fields, and then every other match with him is a big one as well. When I face Trapper I get small maps, where are those for me? And I have not once gotten The Game as Pig without using an addon, it's her damn map.
-
Does anyone even find the new Tinkerer even useful? I mean I've seen a few instances where it was good against me but when I use it I can never find it helpful. Yeah that Gen is going off but I can't make it there in time to stop it or get a sneak attack, Oh my terror radius is gone for ten seconds hopefully I can find someone before it's up.

What MS should do is for every survivor you have hooked in the basement, apply something like a 10% penalty to repairs of all other survivors. Then when you get someone down there it forces the others to make the save so they can keep doing gens.I like the idea because the hook is the main thing for killers and the Gens are the main thing for Survivors so it literally affects the polar opposite and that goes so well with the name. The percentages would have to be tweaked though because it would be weak on it's own but a great addition to Thanatophobia and damn it would be Godlike with Dying Light.
Maybe it gives a 5% stackable reduction in Generator repairs for every Survivor hooked in the Basement, so if you stack 4 people in the basement throughout the entire match it would give every Survivor a 20% reduction in repair speed. And that can be like Max, so maybe 3/4/5% so it can be powerful on it's own but dangerous paired with other perks. And it's the Basement, unless you really FORCE yourself to hook someone in the Basement which could be in a good place or a bad place, that is the balance, the Basement is not always a viable place to reach. It could hurt them really bad or not at all depending on how many times you hook someone down there. -
It sounds like it's super powerful for Trapper but no one else can do this except for Hag. Did you know that in Haddonfield that there are rooftops only accessible through windows? Perfect place for traps

I think this should stay -

@HatCreature I don't know about making ultra rares and very rare's more-so available and exclusive to higher ranks.. Wouldn't that negate the point of the blood web? If getting high rank guarantees add ons that other people can't get if they aren't ranked as high as you are? I might be misinterpreting. I do think, though, that a casual mode vs. competitive mode is nice. However...
Since there's no real added game effect, and it all feels like one casual game until you hit about rank 10, I don't think there should be two separate game modes? It would feel like a waste. If people want to climb, they can climb. If they don't care, then they can just keep playing. Separating them would seem almost pointless.Yes that is exactly what I mean, I just posted a thread about Prestiging and does the percentage of Ultra Rare and the like actually get higher with each Prestige and the answer was no, the only real difference was more Greens and less yellows but still 3 Purples and the occasional Red. Here's the Link https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/34124/noticeable-difference-with-ultra-rare-items-after-prestiging-your-killer#latest
But yes with my idea the High Ranks would get a REAL High percentage of better addons compared to what we have now which is crap. Normal players would still have whatever system the Devs gave us but the Red Ranks would get a much better one, it does single out everyone else but it is an incentive worth taking for those who really want it. And to be honest no one really complains about the Bloodweb right? I haven't until today and I saw this data so having a better system for the Red Ranks could be a cool reward. It's just an idea because right now there is no reason to stay until unless you like getting Gen rushed.
I actually really like the blood web system, so I get that. I hate getting Gen rushed, and it's happened to me quite a bit. I'm not even that high ranked.. I feel like if we're talking incentives then yes, it's probably better of them to just make the blood webs or something past rank 5 give you more pinks, and whatnot. Now that I understand what you mean, I fully agree.
What rank are you, anyway? I'm a mere 10, but I think that's good considering I haven't had much consecutively play time, and I came back into playing on the... 2nd or so of this month? I just know the game gets really serious, and apparently, less fun, once you pass about 6 or 7.
Well I haven't been on since the Rank Reset so the 13th of last month. My highest Killer was 10 and my highest Survivor was 8 or 9, this upcoming season I really want to see if I actually can get to the Red Ranks at least once and then never go back because it sounds too stressful. Frankly, I hate the Rank system, I rank up too fast and can't keep up with the best players and get stuck and can't go down without being a douche and disconnecting, that's not cool, I don't want to do that. And I mean that on Killer, as Survivor I do not care one damn bit how high I get, if I get to Rank 1 Survivor and stay there who cares but not Killer.
Being rank 1 killer looks so much more challenging than surv. Because as surv I've climbed so fast. I just want a purple or red portrait. That's literally my only goal at the end of this. I just want the nice color border. But past anything else, do they even give you anything for reaching rank 1? Or top 5?
No they don't, that's the whole point. The only time you get a reward for getting somewhere in this entire game is when you Prestige your character. The is the single time you get something for reaching a number, and that's a personal thing that's not ranked.
-
Hybrid Panda on Youtube had a great idea where the Killer was notified who was SWF by a colored icon on their heads, sometimes it could be 2 people and sometimes 4. The biggest thing is not knowing they are SWF and when the final version of the new lobby system comes out on the live update EVERYONE will LOOK like a 4man SWF because everyone spawns in at the same time. So just having an icon for who actually is will prepare the Killer for who is communicating and who isn't.

D-Strike was only brought it in because that is exactly what Laurie did in the film Halloween film with a needle and a wire hanger, I think we're lucky the Devs didn't let DS have 2 hits as she did in the film, this game would completely unplayable then.
Also I think Wolf74 actually found a cool opposite to D-Strike for Killers but a balanced version would be every Survivor is Exposed until one of them goes down the first time, then everyone is back to normal. Of course if you're Leatherface of Hillbilly, even Myers, if they use their power they could get in two hits since it isn't technically a normal hit. I know Survivors cry about NOED all the time and this would be a weak version of NOED but it's just like DS where NOED is everyone until the totem is destroyed. I think we need this to balance out the game.
-
Do you guys think that a seperate Unranked Mode would be popular? The Emblems would be there for points but not for Rank so everyone could get matched up normally but without Rank. Then there is the Ranked Mode for people who enjoy competing, of course for any real reason to keep playing that Ranked Mode, once again we would need a reason to get and stay there.
I really think that instead of cosmetics for Rank 1 we would need something temporary that you can only KEEP if you're high rank. Like more BP at High Rank or maybe increase the amount of Ultra Rare and Very Rare addons at that rank, or even special High Rank Perks for each Survivor and Killer, just one per of course. And when you go below the red ranks you lose those perks and those bonuses until you get back. You don't lose the addons but the percentage to get those addons.

Thanks guys this was very helpful
I'm very excited to get back into the game. -

Always stay at 900K. When you get close to a million just spend 100K. When a new character comes out spend your million and buy perks from the shrine to instantly make it 50.What about on my way to 900K when I get there that sounds like a masterful plan to always have what I need. Right now I'm at 15k and I can buy one perk from the shrine lol I'm thinking I can play my Dailys and get those points then save those and whatever points I get after them I can spend just a little bit then maybe switch to Survivor after that and save all of those?

I have one.You punish altruistic survivors for their bravery.
After someone is unhooked from the basement, the person who unhooked them will be applied with the hindered status effect for 10/20/30 seconds. "Monstrous Shrine" only activates when you are at least 18 metres away from a hook.Hmm, it sounds cool but to be honest a lot of killers have addons with Hindered effects that would be better, but then again it's unhooker in the basement so that person would be slower when they leave, kind of like my Option 3 but in the reverse, so it could be helpful. I might use that in a Basement build

Thanks guys
yeah looks like it's up to Lady Luck/Nightmother or in this case the Entity if I ever get those pinky fingers. My Clown is happy where is for now. -
I tried playing as her on console, I really did but the Blinks aren't good enough, it feels slower and more restrained than what I see on PC and I know that's intentional. I'm going to try and play Billy on console now, I really want to get good at him and I feel like I'm not a real Killer until I do.
-
Nurse on PC is god tier, Nurse on Console is a joke, you just run around her and she misses with every Blink. You know that trophy where you escape through the Hatch with all 4 Survivors? I got that going against a Nurse.

For me, any suggestion to buff NM only shows the cokyness of the survivor.
They are so overconfident that they give up an entire healthstate to get some buffs.I never looked at it that way. I always laugh and beat the crap out of the No Mither because they seem silly for using it. But then again when I'm NoMither I use it with Resilience or I use to troll my teammates because I'll obviously be going down very quickly. If I have my SWF group I really want us all to run it because it'll be hilarious but no one wants to

Dolphin9192 said:So I was wondering if anyone has tips for countering this since I have had to stop using hex perks.
Thats the counter right there, stop using hex perks.
At the very most use 1. (Or 2 if the second is Thrill or HG). Having loads is too much to defend and leaves you perkless. It's only good for fun builds, not long term viable builds.
I disagree. I run 4 Hex's all the time at rank 1. I got the idea from the halloween event. If the survivors spend the first 3 minutes looking for my totems, instead of rushing gens, the game is much, much better paced.
If they clear them all out quick, good, that's what they are meant for.
That's why I run Ruin, Huntress' Lullaby, Thrill, And Devour. They have to clear those totems or they get oppressive. While they run around looking for them and clearing them slowly, i get hooks.
As for being perkless. Killers don't really need them. I run naked Killers at Rank 1 all the time, and win. (I'll even do the Hag with no perks or ad-ons)And th best part about the 4 hex build: I have gotten to mori people at rank 1 with Devour...A lot...
So glad I'm not the only one using Huntress Lullaby, it's a good perk and does exactly what you're talking about. When I first played Leatherface I barely had any good perks but once I started using Huntress Lullaby the games changed significantly because he suddenly had pressure on everyone and not just the person he's chasing. And even if the totem is eventually destroyed that means one or two people were scouring for that totem while I was chasing the third.
Also if you have Spirit, most people assume you have Haunted ground and if they see your totem and notice you don't have Ruin or HL they won't go for your totems, until they realize that you also had Devour Hope

@HatCreatureI completely agree that no mither isn't strong. Especially when the killers know that you can recover from the dying state. There's no element of surprise. That is why people previously suggested that you start off healthy, but with the broken effect, we can say goodbye to that.
After seeing how the (youtube) community has treated the perk, I'm unsure if it should be buffed. It has become the icon of making the game harder for yourself. In some way that's refreshing as well.
Although your changes would definitely crank up it's power, I'm of the opinion that this is the only perk that should be kept deliberately weak, for the sake of how it's the manifested icon of challenging yourself as survivor.
Then maybe just add in the extra blood point aspect and then maybe people won't be as hesitant to bring it in? I love No Mither, it's the only time I use Resilience or I'll have Survivors constantly trying to heal me and motion me and bounce around shouting ''LET ME HEAL YOU'' but with No Mither I don't get that. But that's just one reason to use it, and I'm using it to buff something else.
-
Dude have you ever seen Myers get completely wrecked before? I've seen dozens of matches where he gets one kill and it's all because those players know not to get seen, they hide, they don't let him get stalk and when someone gets hooked and he has T3 no one goes for the save until his T3 is back to 2 because that's smart. They go for the save when he's distracted by someone else and if your buddy is on a hook at the end and he's getting camped then open both doors, sneak in and have a distract while someone goes for the save with Borrowed Time and then rocket out of there before he gets his T3 again.
Also he can't always use T3 so intentionally getting him to WASTE his T3 would help you out a lot since he would technically have no power to use and he'd be crap. You should watch some vids on how to beat Myers and actually try to learn how before crying for a nerf. Some people still say that Freddy needs to be nerfed and those people are crybaby noobs who can't handle ma boi's claw stroking their face all sexual like.
-
I heard someone say Tuesday but probably not

-
Ok at first I confused myself after your explanation but then I realized you said Sacrifice and not hook, it takes a while to actually Sacrifice someone but you can hook all game. During that time you'll be downing people quick and breaking pallets quicker and maybe by the time you actually Sacrifice someone those pallets will be gone so when you lose your speed it won't be a real hindrance. That's balance right there, the balance we have with this perk right now that has every strike you lose speed never made sense to me because you strike fairly often lol.

Good choice! I spent everything to reach p3 with her and as far i am used she really needs just few things. At least how I play her:Enduring+spirit fury to make chases more smooth
BBQ to extra BP and have an idea in which zone they might be. If don't have BBQ use rancor or bitter murmur
Nurses calling, having a small terror radius, 24m, by the time you see them they won't realize you're close. Also be swapped with monitor and abuse for surprise attacks or my favorite, deer stalker so you can slug in different scenarios to be able to chase another survivor and force 3 people out of gens
Avoid ruin and noed, are awful, unless are your first games with her just to get how she works. Remember to mindgame especially on small loops
I never thought of using M&A because the bigger her heartbeat is the less people can hear you coming but I never thought of being able to just get in closer and then using Phase just to surprise them, that's badass.
-
I like the idea but I think it's not feasible, I brought up something like this in a thread and this guy said how complicated the coding would be but I don't remember exactly what he said. Either way, if this is possible it would be cool.
-
Soul Survivor is actually useful with this, Monstrous Hooks sounds nice, Thanatophobia is more powerful, I already said I like Huntress, Brutal Strength NEEDS this upgrade, Third Seal looks interesting, but I don't know about Play With Your Food.
The Normal PWYF gives you a max 15% extra movement speed, this give you 5 but a 15 extra in action, it's kind of like a combo of the normal perk and Fire Up which is awesome. When you say disable does that mean you can't get anymore tokens or the perk itself is turned off and the effects are gone?

IKR, hopefully we get some sort of cosmetic that reveals most or at least some of their face, the amount of detail put in the faces for the Legion shouldn't go to waste
Hell yeah, they put actual work into those people, Huntress literally has no eyes, I heard Leatherface is eyes and lips, they need to show off those masterful faces.

I really enjoy @Nickenzie version of HL but I also really enjoy this as well. As far as fixes go this would be great because that shaking skillcheck gets me every time and have it shake AND have a delayed noise is sure to be pretty bad on people not paying attention. But I run HL on my Leatherface and this creates map pressure for him so this fix would be great, for Nickenzie's idea I think it should be another perk entirely just because it's so different. Progressively getting a lower to zero TR over time is dangerous because at the end they won't know where you are until it's too late. > @Keene_Kills said:
Perhaps on the 5th stack it could give a substantially false skillcheck warning chime (I'd like to use this with Freddy, myself) ALONG WITH either bouncing the skillcheck ring to different points on the screen (like Doc's tier 3 Madness) or narrowing the skillcheck ring success section down to Decisive Strike size. It's description states it's supposed to "muddle the survivor's attention," so that should muddle it nicely. I've hardly ever had a Hex totem last up to 5 levels, so that final level may as well be made worth it when you can get it to activate.

It is. The only reason the Hatch is still in its current state is because BHVR keeps giving in the whiny Scrubvivors. We had a balanced Hatch with the 2.0.0 PTB. Killer could close it and Survivor could repair a gen to reopen it. It only needed two changes: the Survivor would receive a base Left Behind effect to make repairing the gens not boring and the Killer would be able to read the Survivor's aura permanently at an unlimited range after the Survivor has not tried to repair a gen for X seconds to prevent them from getting salty and holding the game hostage (not sure how many seconds, I want to give the Survivor enough time to find a gen but not too much time so Survivors cannot hide until the timer is about to expire and then just tap the gen to reset the timer and continue hiding). However, BHVR decided to listen to the crying Survivors who seemingly needed escape through the Hatch (a base LB effect probably wouldn't have shut them up either) and have the exit gates become active and then they just decided to continue working on it.I love the idea they had of closing the hatch but this particular idea prolongs the game longer then it needs to be and perhaps that's why a lot of Survivors hate this. My buddy came up with an idea or maybe he got it from a Dev stream that once the Killer kicked the Hatch then the remaining Gens were done and the Gates could just be opened. The Survivor could then juggle the exit gates OR just camp the exit gate if they know that the Killer knows where the Hatch is.
Removing the Hatch grab from the game should also be a thing with this because then the standoff could still happen, the can Kick it but not grab.

You mean perks and addons that affect the number of pallets? That would be cool if it was only on the killer side, like call upon the entity to keep one pallet from spawning or a perk that has whenever you hook someone a pallet breaks.I was thinking a "keep 1 pallet from spawning" item to burn. But not a perk, spirit fury already works fine in my opinion.
As cool as it sounds I don't think it should happen because it would spark more debates. Killers hate pallets while Survivors need them, killers and Survivors can both burn offerings for Mist, Hooks, and Chests but to be fair none of those are a real game-changer, but pallets are. I mean I would love to prevent pallets from spawning but knowing that Survivors can also spawn more in is just as dangerous as having them not spawn.

This is a good build and it's mostly what I use on my stealth build but I've been using Stakeout instead of Balanced. It's like a haha to the killer when I can just absorb those tokens and then dish them out on those Gens, also since they're Great skill checks it's more points, or so I believe. If that's not true I'm probably never using it again.Anyway, Jeff's new perk that blocks your aura would also be a great one for stealth since BBQ & Chili is so popular. Another stealth build I use is Urban Evasion, Lithe, Quick & Quiet, and Dance With Me, I can sneak by and if I'm caught I can use those windows to run around jungle gyms and disappear again.
I totally forgot about Stakeout since I used that before I got Deliverance and it's a great solo perk, stockpile 4 tokens killer has Ruin just lol your way through it. I'd literally follow killers around in a chase sometimes to get tokens.
You mean Diversion? I love throwing that pebble, it's hilarious to see it actually work.

Oh I'm on console too, I was wondering why you didn't mention Nurse but it makes sense now. Yeah on console Billy is king and for that reason, I don't think he should be nerfed because while PC has two great or overpowered killers the console has only Billy. Though on console I usually just run into Myers, Wraith, Freddy, and Huntress. As for playing as Billy, damn it's difficult, I can't see how anyone can get those chainsaw hits up close, they just keep juking at the last second.

I feel exactly the same, and yeah I do feel that they are too vague in their streams, they look like they are always planning something but it also feels like we never get to see what they're planning. They're secretive and we never get to see what they're hiding to reveal later it feels like. A lot of people want a 2 Killer Mode, I would love to Kill With My Friends instead of just kill them, of course, it would be called Kill With Your Friends. Also, I feel they need to take more risks with their killers' power, they're too cautious in what they let us test and they decide what's OP before giving us what is basically the final product in the PTB. I get they have they their own testers and they need that but still it feels that sometimes they aren't taking enough risks.

The problem I see with Freddy is that he only becomes a competitive killer with the use of Class Photo and Blue Dress.Yeah, I know people utilize blocks to reduce the transition time, but I view that as trying to reduce his weakness, which is only effective to a point. IMO, it’s better to play to his strengths, and that’s putting people to sleep and keeping them there.
To put survivors to sleep: Class Photo. Keeping them there: Green Dress.
As often as not, I’m not chasing the first survivor I find, or the second: I’m forcing them to waste time trying to get out of the dream world either by running around to find another survivor or doing gens at half speed.
Absolutely, they’ll get out before I hook the first survivor I decide to chase, but then BBQ tells me where to find them again. It stops, or severely slows their ability to complete objectives while I, as an unremarkable killer, have the time to get my hooks and kills.
My last three Freddy games were (before BBQ/Pudding): 32k points, 32k points, 31.7k points. And the last, I carried the last survivor to the hatch and dropped them off.
That said, it was fun while it lasted. Distortion and lockers completely wreck the build to the point of being laughable. If even half the survivors are running it, and I expect they will, I won’t be able to build the early game momentum to effectively slow down the match.
Whatever the changes to Freddy, his strength will have to be something other than aura reading.
Yeah, distortion will hurt Freddy the most of all the killers. Same with the locker changes, now survivors can just afk in lockers and wait for their teamates to rescue them, hopefully not all these changes make it to live
Well hopefully everyone won't have Distortion when you play Freddy and we don't know if their tokens will just constantly be taken away when they are out oif your terror radius or if it's every time they leave your tettor radius. If it's the former then it's not a big deal but if it's latter then yeet, yeah it'll hurt him the most.
Even if they don't have Distortion, if they aren't being chased, any SWF will just jump in a locker until someone else gets there to wake them up.
Oh, the lockers, it didn't even occur to me that would work on Freddy, damn that sucks

As I was writing my post I think I forgot what thread I was on, my apologies.

As a Survivor I don't have much to complain about, I suck at Flashlights so I let others do those kinds of saves, I don't use D-Strike because I can't hit that damn skill check and I don't antagonize the killer and force them to chase me unless I'm bored and my fellow Survivors need time to do Gens because they suck. BBQ & Chili is tolerable, Hillybilly is a challenge, I play PS4 so I have 0 complaints about Nurse, literally the only thing I have to complain about is camping. With that in mind, you can't get rid of camping. Either the Killer is camping because he knows Survivors are nearby, he's been having a hard match and the pressure got to him, or he's just sadistic and that's all he's good at therefore he's a loser. Nothing the Developers can do to stop camping without making it even harder for killers, in some cases camping is a strategy and that is exactly why Killers don't lose points when they camp if someone else is within range.

If anything Hillbilly is a boss battle, something to overcome, a satisfying victory when you defeat that drooling beast with greasy hands.
