  • Doesn't add the option "3" for people thinking killer is too hard like a boss.

I'd take 3, prefer killer but play equally.

^ Title pretty much says it all. All I'm seeing is Noed, noed, noed, Eboni Mori, mori, mori, insta hatchets, 3 or 4 blink nurses, Haunted grounds, Bloodwarden, Silentbells & so on & so on. So boring.

Tryhard as well, so that they lose so that you get delicious salt.

  • @CheersTC said:
Ok, occasionally I will let the killer kill me, on one condition.

If they message me (saying I can get hatch), or just don't hit me when they get right behind me, I instead run to a hook and point at it. I'm even high rank, but that brings up my question.

Do you ever do it, and if yes, at what rank?

Me: Rank 3 and yes I do.

I won't let a killer hook me because there's a chance he'll go unfriendly the second after and facecamp me/kill my friends in front of me.

As killer, I more than happily take the opportunity when survivors think I'm farming, if they group up near a hook it's a quick and easy game.

Here are some questions for you guys to chew over.

    1) what perk do you think got an unnecessary nerf recently

    2) what perk do you think currently needs a buff

    3) if you could remove one killer perk what killer perk would it be

    4) what is your favourite perk in the game

    1. None that I can think of currently.
    2. Left Behind
    3. NOED/Ruin/BBQ, in that order, because they're stronger than the others and I like easy games
    4. BL on Haddonfield or SC.
  • @Cymer said:
How can the perk Insidious be used without camping a hook, gen or a place?
If camping is discouraged please remove or rework that perk.

    You see, here's the thing.

    Ya can't

  • I consider the following to be toxic:
    5-gen face camping
    T-bagging
Spamming insults and death threats in chat ("ezzzz" "go ######### gay boi")

Why? Because they have no purpose except for pissing off the opposition. They're either don't help you or even hinder you, just so you can express disrespect towards your opponent.

Is looping toxic? No, because you're trying to not get caught and it's helping you, you're not expressing disrespect.

Is camping toxic? Depends, but usually, it's done to prevent an unhook against over-altruistic players.
5 gen face camping is toxic because it hurts the killers doing it and it expresses disrespect.
T-bagging is toxic because it doesn't help you and it's just to taunt the killer.

I almost never but if there are 4-5 gens left the survivor is my favourite character who doesn't use ds doesn't teabag or any type of bm and they give up and come to me.

Nearly never, sometimes I plan on letting them go and then realize I didn't get my BBQ stack or they happen to have DS.

So I typically play the Pig and the Nurse and recently I unlocked "Fired Up". However, I am curious on how good this perk truly is and so I wanted to ask about any possible combinations and which killer should I slap this on to? Also could my Pig benefit from it? Because I doubt the Nurse would but than again I have been wrong before.

It's horrible, don't use it unless in very specific builds.

Please use insidious cause it was meant for doing this. Plus its interesting when you suprise a survivor rescueing me. Plus im a killer main and it hurts watching non invisible sort of power killers do this. Please just use insidious as you stare into my eyes. I also know people think hitting a survivor is toxic on hook. But i rather enjoy being flayed rather then stared at cause no killer aint gonna torture me.

Insidious is a boring trash perk that doesn't help me defend the hook, it only helps me bait altruistic survivors who are halfway across the map.

    2. Surveillance, Monstrous Shrine and Tinkerer

    3. DS, obviously

    4. To play with? BL with Haddonfield offerings, else SC. To play against? No Mither

  • Killers that are easily loopable and rushed, such as Freddy, Leatherface and Trapper.

  • You ruin the game, you waste the offerings of both sides and you reduce the potential BP/pip gain of everyone.

  • Survivor hasn't been less fun in my experience after the nerfs and said nerfs have had a minimal impact on my survival rate. In my opinion, nerfs are still needed for the survivor side and some killers need buffs/reworks (Trappy boi).

  • @Gurpsmeister said:
So at the end of a match I hear it constantly. I get called names because I looped you hard. I get called immersed and an [BAD WORD] for stealthing and evading. I get called a tryhard gen rusher if I'm working on gens.

    I'm a little confused here.

I mean if I'm camped I usually take it as a compliment. To ME it means that I was enough of a pain in the butt to earn the company. I have no complaints about the tactic and anyone who claims tunneling is a thing doesn't understand the game.

I'm just super confused that as a survivor it seems no matter WHAT style I do, I'm a jerk for doing it? What do you want Killer mains? YOU'RE TEARING ME APART!

Some people are just salty, no matter whether they play survivor or killer. I don't mind if you loop, stealth or gen-rush (you're just trying to win), as long as you don't play toxic.

    1. Killer streamers can also give away or offer to play with subscribers.
    2. Can talk with fellow killers and get to know our own community in fun game moments.
    3. Can probally bring back maps that were too big to have use again when in a 2vs8 scenario.
    4. When get more licensed killers in game can enjoy those crossovers never thought see.
    5. If everyone is invisible survivors can have a buddy come to look at it from another angle.

Either Nurse and Nurse or Nurse and Billy.

With over 50 hours invested, watching hours of youtube videos, having the good fortune to grind during a Bloodhunt event and the incredible good fortune to start playing while “Self-Heal” was in the Shine of Secrets (and grind to get it one hour before the reset), I’m at least no longer pure fodder, but I still kinda suck at level 12 max.

Can a seasoned veteran or two help a lost soul out?

1] What is the sign language?
I want to understand the sign language. I’ve heard that wriggling whilst hooked sends the message “I’m being camped”. Is that right? I hope I’ve not been doing that wrong.

2] Why so cheap on offerings?
I always make an offering and I would’ve thought everyone would put offerings up front before the game starts. But often not. How come?

3] Why so cheap on items?
Ditto. i would've thoguht everyone would carry an item no matter how rubbish just for the edge but nope. I can understand wanting to avoid Franklyn’s Demise. I had a purple flashlight with awesome add-ons and even a white ward offering to keep it in case I died. Dammit.

    4] High and low mist?
Why do survivors get Clear Regent offering to lessen the mist? What’s the point? Also, what happens if everyone offers thicken mist offerings?

5] Is there a best survivor?
I don’t mean perks. A Decisive-Strike, Self-Care, Urban, Sprint combo seems to be king. I mean survivor character. I would’ve thought height, camouflage and amount of noise they make would be a factor.

6] How do I deal with Myers?
I have strategies for all the killers but I struggle the most against the Shape and I’m not even sure why.

    1. pressing 1-2 will make you point and beckon. Wiggling on the hook (pressing m1 for a milisecond and letting go a bunch of time) shows you to the killer.

    2. Some people are cheapskates or simply don't feel like bringing useless offerings, perhaps saving them for later for stronger ones.

    3. I always bring items, others either want to save them or don't have them.

    4. Thicken mist can stack up to 5. The game starts with a mist level of 1. A purple reagent increases it by 4. If 4 people run purple Reagent, 4 will be wasted IIRC.
there is no actual point in increasing it if you're killer or reducing it as survivor, it will hurt more than help.

    5. Claudette is black and small, perfect for hiding.

    6. He breathes very loudly in T1, he's a normal killer in T2 and he's still just as vulnerable to looping in T3.

Coxcombed clapper (Bell is silent) and Soot - "The Ghost" (No terror radius or red stain for 6 after uncloaking)

Fun jumpscare combo try it if you haven't. Can even grab off gens sometimes!

Pig can do the same thing without add-ons by just uncrouching. Furtherly Pig isn't 18 feet tall and doesn't visually telegraph (as heavily) that she's about to come out of her crouch (not ambush).

It seems like any other Wraith build, countered by SB and looping.

  • I just kill, no mercy given. I just survive, no handicaps or rules set.

I will try and win no matter what, whether that means camping, tunneling, looping, gen-rushing, using DS and NOED and all that, doesn't matter to me. The devs gave me and the opposition these tools and I will use them whether they use them too or not.

Identity V, the "mobile dbd", has released a 8vs2 game mode recently, and as dbd devs are helping make the game, may we see one some day in dbd? It would be awesome, a huge map, 10 gens and 2 killers that could work together to get the 8 survivors running around. If a mobile game can make it work surely dbd can.

Probably not, since they never really showed interest on implementing it, but hey we can hope.

In my opinion the clowns is a bit to over powered because he is way too fast and there is no counter to his power with is speed being extreamly fast

Clown is normal movement speed and his power doesn't slow you down after he hits you unless he threw it prematurely in the direction you were running through. Clown doesn't need nerfs, infact he might need a bit of a buff, but definitely not a nerf.

  • Gen rush isn't a bully tactic, it isn't even much of a tactic at all, it's a word to describe that gens are going to fast for killers to keep up.

This would help survivors find a match better

This could easily be abused by an overly-picky person, so therefore I'd say no. I'd love to ban OchiDO and his toxic lads from all my games, but if it means the Dwighter27 gets kicked for bringing a Brown Toolbox or for wearing P3 then I'd prefer that it would just stay as it is.

  • @FayeZahara said:
They just need to do a survivor perk that combats it. I believe they will find perks that will combat it. Killers bbq and chilli helps them get off hook. Make your choice helps killer choose the less tunnel option. They just need to fix the toxic behaviours with the right perks for each side. Killers need some red stain and long chase perks. Survivors need some facecamping and tunneling perks. I have small suggestion below.

(This is from my own fanmade chapter)

    Bloody Mary

When hooked your screams intensify and create a growing blood barrier that can grow to 3/5/7 meters. When the hooked survivor exits the bubble it will go away instantly.

Would also work when the exit gates are open, therefore if all 4 survivors run it an open the exit gates then a 4 escape is nearly guaranteed

  • Hit great skillchecks or find the totem, it's not very difficult to counter and even if you can't hit great skillchecks you won't lose all that much time.

    1. Who do you main?
    2. What build do you use to guarantee a 4k against a 4-stack tryhard SWF Squadette?

    1. Check my profile picture
    2. If a SWF actually try-hards then it's impossible to garantuee a 4k because a 3 minute game isn't winnable on the killer side, but if you want my build if I suspect a toxic streamer:
      Tuning guide
Grease (green rarity, forgot the name)
NOED (In case it does turn out to be a 3 min game)
      Deerstalker (I love this perk)
BBQ (Do I need to explain?)
Enduring (DS is triple gay to play against)
Either a Red Mori or a Coldwind Farm offering (all hail Rotten Fields)

In case you're wondering, I don't have Ruin.

  • @jamesdon18 said:
I posted a discussion saying how killers had it too easy, and that the devs kept nerfing survivors to the ground. Since then I have only played killer to basically prove a point to myself. 2 days of playing, around 25 games and I have killed all 4 survivors before they even get 3 gens done. Not using anything like bbq and chili, or any unfair perks. I feel like this should at least matter for something that it is just way too easy lmao.

Anectdotal evidence doesn't hold up when there's already a precedent set by mathematical calculations and actual experiments (namely the de-pip squad). If you wish to prove this entire community wrong, then play a killer perkless against fully decked opposition (perks, swf, comms, de-pip squad-like playing survivors) for a 100 games and win a majority of them.

  • @Eveline said:
I get more points from keeping the killer busy than my team who just did gens. They probably didn't even pipped. I know its not always possible but still better than just doing gens in the shadows and only pip if you unhook someone.

    Stealth play and gens=no pip.

Because you can get an iridescent Lightbringer and an iridescent unbroken emblem + an iridescent evader emblem if you do gens and get chased

    They aren't mutually exclusive.

This ######### wraith took 3 gens to catch me when i wasn't even pallet looping. he was just so bad that he kept losing me. He then face camped me as apparantly every killer face camps pallet loopers. Nice logic cuz that means every killer face camps. These people need banning, and no i wasn't using d-strike .

Just gonna add on that i posted that straight after the game when i may have been a little salty so il admit i exaggerated far too much but it was still very toxic of that wraith

"This player is a complete noob who kept losing me in a chase but he still somehow downed me."

Sir if you die to a noob then you're also a noob. Facecamping isn't and shouldn't be bannable.
Ya just needa git gud and stop being salty mk.

What if survivors die with 2 hooks only instead of 3 that is right now but will keep the timer to 2 minutes.

That's going slightly overboard considering how easy it is to get farmed by a teammate, it would also make a snowball much easier to achieve.

Imo I don't think this is the buff that killers need.

  • @walrusthemighty said:
In the last Q&A session from the devs, they kept on forcing the idea of "we want our players to have fun, that is why we do this and that". From here, my questions are: "How "fun" do they think is it to play against a good nurse?", "How "fun" is it to play against a good nurse with more than 2 blinks?", "How "fun" is it to play against a huntress with one shot hatchets?". Explain the "fun" part to me, please, I might be missing something. They keep on talking about how they do not want killers to be too strong, while having this piece of junk aka Nurse in the game. Explain to me your logic, or else, I will not buy these pointless words of "We want you to have fun". I would rather have a rework on Nurse rather than on Wraith or Freddy. Not even a single word has been dropped out of their mouth about the Nurse changes. Do they actually think that everything is fine and "we better work on Freddy next". How many posts did they read about "Nurse is broken" compared to "Please buff Freddy"? I do not want to assume anything in here, but the answer, for me, is pretty obvious.

Right, but where's the fun in playing Clown/LF/Hillbilly/Freddy/Wraith/etc. if you get looped for 5 full gens?

I wanna have fun too if I'm playing against a good team, and since UE+IW+DH+Q&Q exists, why don't you equip those perks and stealth the nurse's instead of constantly complaining that they're too "op"

  • @BogdanNEK said:
I'll start. Some "rules" that I follow. With rank 10-20 that I can hook 2 times each very fast I'll let them escape. My sacrifice is the only category that is not maxed, but almost to the top so I can confirm a 28k+ very easy. I know when the game is won and making some extra BP is not a bad idea. Most of us want high BP games.

For good players is ok to don't tunnel/focus one player. 2 hooks each if possible. Mind games represent a good weapon against skilled players too.

    my rules as killer?

If there are survivors nearby the hook, then I'm sorry sirrie but ya getting camped.

Hatch might be given if the other side played respectfully (no t-bagging) and didn't run DS (ya got one second-chance, you don't need a third)

    As solo survivor?
All teammates are expendable and will be left on a dime if necessary for my own survival, imma go hatch if two people are dead before the second gen is finished.

    I always gen-rush
    I always loop (against non-Nurse's
I always say GG at the end of a game (both sides)
Compliments are given to the other side if they played well (especially to fellow billy mains)

Before anyone jumps on me for the title, I'm a killer main myself and this is pretty much a QQ post. I've just recently gotten into survivor with probably <5 hours played as survivor. Even though I know a little bit about the mechanics and game play, I still SUCK and get owned often. I'm terrible at looping and skill checks and I often get caught. Shouldn't that be the norm for rank 15 players though?

So my question is, why are there killers at 13/14/15 running these super sweaty builds to straight murder these new survivors? At this level, my teammates (myself included) are running lame perks or no perks due to character level. I'm running into killers often with fotm builds (ruin/bbq etc) running ebony moris and ultra rare addons. What gives dudes? As a killer main myself, I find this pretty gross and dishonorable behavior. I don't even start running addons until blue ranks, even then I'll seldom do it.

For so long, I've always wondered why survivors were so toxic at the end of rounds with salty trolls and tea bagging at the gate. Now, I don't even blame them.

tl;dr: I'm disappointed in the community I belong to.

A competitive pvp game, and the other side does their best to complete their objective?

absolute madlad I say, ban 'em now.

Yeah uh, it's the same on the survivor side, I face people that like me try to win as much as possible, and I don't get mad at them because I try just as hard.

By "trash list" I mean "######### list" but I don't know if that'll get "bad worded."

People you've played with and went "nope, I will never play with you again," and you'll hard lobby dodge?

After some specific encounters, I started the list, either people that were toxic, extremely good (hey, if you're that good, you shouldn't be rank 15. If you have the right to depip, I have the right to remember your name and choose to not play with you), or just asses.

For example, last game! I won't name names, as much as I want to, but I was playing hillbilly on one of the steel factory maps. I burnt an invite, and so did one survivor. I already have the chops and everything, I'm just burning them for the extra bloodpoints. I mean, 5.5k is quite a bit for a single hook.

Anyways, game starts as usual. Me running into walls, occasionally hitting people, the works (I don't play hillbilly often. His controls feel weird to me). Then I get an audio notification. It isn't near any thing, odd. I go over there, and a claudette with a toolbox is walking away from my event hook. I'm relatively pissed off, chase her down, and pick her up. I see one event hook nearby is already broken, and I take her back to the one she failed a skillcheck on, and throw her on it, and proceed to camp until she dies, ignoring the baiting of her friends that come to try and save her. She's dead. (I do hit her several times and then chainsaw sprint into her. Partly for points, and partly because I'm fairly peeved). No one that directly attacks my bloodpoints is going to remain in my game if I have any input. (Spoiler, as the killer carrying a downed survivor, I do.) After she dies, game continues like normal, and afterwards they abuse me for facecamping. As if I was the instigator, and it wasn't a natural conclusion of their actions.

Yes, this is a rant because I'm frustrated with some people. But question remains: like me adding these names to my list, do you have a list of people you refuse to play with again?

I don't have a list, no, but I usually don't play with streamers, or people with names like "Pleberino213" wielding flashlights
If I do play with them, I'll put on a Tuning guide and NOED, if you want to have your fun looping and blinding, I want my fun in insta-downing you.
I did one give a streamer the "streamer privilege" playing as Huntress, but that was quite a time ago and he sadly wasn't streaming

Chucky has been one of the most iconic characters in horror movies of the 80s, such as Freddy, Letherface and Myers, will one day be in the game? would create a new concept of killer, to be small, could see the survivors crouched trying to bodyblock on the hook, and instead of catching the survivors of the ground, could drag them, and throw them to the hook. this could be funny and have different skills, for example that their power is jumping over the survivors, and that a skillcheck appears, if they fail, they fall into dying state, if they hit it, they throw chucky away, and they get hurt.

It could be very fun! Friends til the end!

    Please @not_Queen , Answer me <3

Such a small killer would require an entirely new hitbox and modelling rigs, which would take a lot of time and be quite expensive, which means he most likely won't be coming. Not to mention that they'd also have to acquire the license

One thing I noticed watching some gameplays since I'm not at home. I played a few games with my friend before and I was never going for a save immediately after she gets hooked, or at all if I think it could lead to a worse outcome.

So why? Some never even do gens at all, they just try to get the killer to chase them into a loop. And most of the times it's those with ds+flashlight combo. It's frustrating for a killer but for a solo survivor too, believe me.

Map awareness and Situational awareness, combine that with some perks and knowing what to do when (not saving when a killer is nearby, etc.), and you'll be an okay survivor.

Kindred is probably one of the most underrated non-unique perks of Dead by Daylight.

It's effects can be viewed here: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Kindred
For those that have yet to experience it.

Now as we are aware the developers have announced adding Kindred as a default bonus to all survivors in the future. This begs the question, how much of Kindred survivors get?

I think since they want to buff solo players we'll all get Kindred 2 for free and the third tier killer aura will be worked into a separate perk entirely. What are your thoughts on this?

Kindred 2 should be base, I agree.
(Of course, it's a low priority compared to some other perks that need changes, but still I'm up for it.)

This game does a great job at making my heart race. Any tips to avoid that?

    Play Nurse Hillbilly or Hag/Huntress.
Don't take the game all too seriously
run meme builds (like LF insidious basement camp) to calm down.
don't play too many games in a row.

I thought it was pretty balanced, especially once they made the exit gates powered. Will it ever be implemented again?

It was rescinded after the ptb caused some sectors of the survivor community to backlash, which is a shame considering it was actually very fair IMO. The person to find it first would win.

wait for your teammate to start tea-bagging and *edit: commit self death, so that he can get the hatch.

camping in general ? Not a problem since it's easily countered by doing gens.
