She only massacres bad players, but she's not inherently different than the Trapper or Leatherface if she wants to camp.
Otherwise, one good player just runs around behind her popping all of her traps, and so she can never get the game "started" because she's slower and easily looped. If she stops to drop a trap, and you're injured and can't risk a bait, just run away to another loop, and see if she follows.
She's such an easily griefed killer it's not even funny.
That requires some coordination seldom seen in solos.

Exactly, 100%. And this is the sole reason why she has not been changed yet, not many people complain about her, because she is rarely played.
And it is just her playstyle which lets players step away from her, it is just so boring because you cannot chase with her. Either you have a Trap at some Loop and you get a Hit/Down, or you dont have a Trap and get looped into Oblivion (or, to be more precise - dont get to go into a Chase, because it is pointless to chase with Hag).
Also quite a bunch of Streamers really dont like to play her because of her boring playstyle.
Hag cuts out the most fun part of the game in exchange for winning.

Doesn't matter.

I’m not gonna try to change anyone’s mind about Hag because I know a lot of people find her unenjoyable, but one thing I will say is that her traps can be destroyed by any survivor, even without a flashlight. So if you’re someone who’s interested in learning how to play against Hag, there is stuff you can do.
The radius of the trap is larger than her lunge distance out of teleport, so if you see a trap (which is much easier on the reworked maps because the ground is much lighter, and also pretty easy on indoor maps, but less realistic on maps like the swamp maps), you can inch towards it with your camera facing the trap. As soon as you trigger it (and since you’re facing it your camera won’t swing), immediately sprint away. Even if the Hag teleports instantly she’ll miss her swing, and whether she swings or not she’s slowed out of teleport so you can usually make enough distance to get to some kind of structure.
Do this every time you notice a trap, or even go looking for them in key areas you suspect she’s trapped if you want to be a real pain in her ass. It’s like playing against Trapper, you have to look at the ground as you move around the map. You have to mess with her traps as much as possible. The more traps she sets up the stronger she is and the more of them you can destroy, the bigger the chance you buy your team.
Not much you can do against a camping Hag that sets tons of traps around a hook though. But I’m all in favour of the devs nerfing that aspect of her power, it’s pretty cheesy.
I feel like latency and I are going to have a minor disagreement on that one if I try it. I'll give it a shot next time i'm unlucky, though.
And yeah, that's probably the biggest part I hate about the Hag-- the camp. 15 traps around a hook is just standard business-- the guy can expect to go to second stage, if he ever gets off at all. And if they're in the basement? Forget about it.
The Hag gets to win and facecamp better than almost anyone else at the same time.

A: Unless everyone else hops in a locker, it doesn't really mean much.
B: I want the killer to leave the hook and come after me if i'm far enough away.
C: If I hide in a locker, the killer might assume someone's hiding nearby and camp the hook.

But he can move across the map at 150%+ while in stealth, don’t act like that doesn’t save as much time as Pigs traps buy her.
I'm not saying Pig's as good as Wraith is now, i'm saying that Wraith's ambush is better because that's literally his entire kit. That's what he does the best-- getting ambush attacks on you.
With Pig, her ambush is half her kit. It's not her main focus, so of course it's not on par.
She should definitely be improved, though.

Because Wraith can't put a bear trap on your head.

he used to be top tier, but now he’s old hat. Wish he was dangerous to play against. Some guys on this forum say he’s still really good, but we all know that the really good killers are the ones that get played the most. Except trapper, he doesn’t count.
Hag would like a word with you.

Think again about that first part. Humans are emotional, social creatures, and so just as they can affect how I feel, I can do the same. And eventually, when the toxicity reaches boiling point, they complain and the issue comes to prominence so it is addressed.
Alternatively, the community degrades to such a point the roiling cesspit implodes on itself and no one wants to play anymore as the devs try desperately to salvage it.
But i'm sure facecamping those 5 hour survivors in the basement is gonna save the game and we just can't see it yet.
The totem pole goes as such: Good sports > living biohazards > living biohazards BUT IT'S FOR A GOOD CAUSE I SWEAR

Ask the 20-man SWF of Neas who decide to boot up the game whenever I have free time.
So yes.
Y'now, you can't control other people, but you can control you-- so just don't.
Just don't!
It's not hard, I do it all the time! "Could be a deathsquad or a bunch of players trying to have an honest game, so i'll just play it like normal because who actually cares it's a game?"
Or if it is just too damn hard, don't try and find a roundabout way to explain how being like that is actually helping the community eventually maybe some time in the future and it's not just pure gross indulgence.
Just own it. Wear the trash crown with pride.

If you weren't blinded by survivor hate you would know that I do care about the killer side as much as survivor.
That might be the most transparent bait account i've ever seen.

Nah, there is no compromise. All survivor players are evil and have zero respect for the killer both as a person or as a player. They don't care about our fun or what's fair. You can even see it in this forum, survivors make everything about themselves. BHVR spat on us, called Moris toxic and they are gonna get nerfed again, while at the same time adding A HUGE indoor maps with god pallets, and what are survivor players doing? "Oh gee i wonder how pretty my LGBT charm will be!".
Survivors never asked for a key nerf, they got Mori nerfed so they put the issue to rest
Survivors don't care about the hatch being unfair for the killer and project how they think they are entitled to win because their team is bad onto the killer saying we're the ones entitled for wanting a reward for playing well
Survivors. Are. Evil.
Which is hilarious because when Legion came out, even killer players were crying how OP he was, and now he's complete trash because of all of you. But god forbid a survivor will ever not be self absorbed and thinks for a second that keys might need a nerf.
The funny part is that some people around here actually think like that, just not very vocally.

There's going to be floods of players getting banned for being victims of salt.

That looks like something I would make, what the hell

Good job Matchmaking.
Not sure why you say it like survivors know who they're getting matched up against.

See the thing is I don’t care what a mod or a dev says about those starts and weather or not they are part of the game. They are incredibly unfun and unfair strats that deserved to be punished. I for one welcome the ability to punish bad killer players for doing this.
I don't care what a MOD or a DEV who makes this game says, I decide what should be punishable.
It's my game now.
Give me the keys.
Give me the keys BHVR, it's my game now.

And Scott is a good spirit so of course he's still going to down the guy fast in general. People always want to discount the skill of the killer when it comes to spirit. The average spirit player you'll face is going to be worse than Scott.
Spirit isn't uncounterable. There are actions you can do to extend chase as shown. Any killer that commits to a single survivor will eventually get a down. Chase killers like spirit can get the down sooner rather than later.
I'm just tired of people calling everything they don't like in this game "uncounterable" or "requires no skill", because those are just crutches for not trying.
And the player is a competitive player who got to choose his perks, the map with a god window, and start at the shack in front of the pallet whilst Scott couldn't use perks and only had yellow addons.
He had literally everything in his favor and used half the resources on the map to last a minute for one chase.
But you're right, the average Spirit player you'll face will be worse than Scott. And that's why people think she has any actual counterplay, because the best and only real counter to Spirit is playing against a bad Spirit.
-
Nice.

@Chilli_man2400 said:
I don’t mean to live under a rock but can someone please explain what the spirit challenge is?
The Spirit challenge is where people go up against Scott's spirit to showcase the spirit counterplay that everyone says exists, because as far as he's concerned, there is none.
-
Jack still makes too much damn sense to me, but that'd cause a riot.
I'm guessing it's gonna be the classic characters.
Or the real surprise.. it's a double killer and double survivor chapter. A classic AND 7-8 killer, classic and 7-8 survivor.

You can sometimes get away with window slow vaults. Pallet slow vaults make survivors grunt and stomp their feet though. Either way, it's mainly just trying to force 50/50s. Now cue 10 people yelling "PROVE IT" even though we're actually saying there's not much you can do.
That's all anyone's been trying to prove, that there's not much you can do. Sure you can hide, slam gens and pray, maybe even get away with it, but if it's an actually good spirit and she gets you in her sights then you have approximately nil meaningful plays to make in your next 10-20 seconds of life.
And if you're not trying to say otherwise, staring off with "This guy clearly did everything wrong and this proves nothing" is a misleading way to agree.
-
Unless the new killer also ignores all the game mechanics, they're not gonna be S tier.
-
You want a dumb build? You got one.
Wraith, with the Bone Clapper and Shadow Dance-- the clapper's the important part.
Nemesis, Dead Man's Switch, Enduring, Spirit Fury.
Respect nothing. Force whoever you chase to become your obsession with Nemesis, then hook 'em-- Dead Man's Switch activates, and this is where the Clapper comes in. If they get spooked and let go for even a second, boom-- gen's blocked. I've seen three go white doing that.
Keep forcing obsession switches, keep bullying, and keep spooking.
