I'd offer some words of wisdom, however I feel like the revelation might be rather electifying. As a doctor, I have no time for jokes- shocking, I know.

Yes, it blocks the fake pallets too. Same with Doctor's Illusionary pallets.
There's the Patch Notes.

I can confirm the change was intentional because it was in the patch notes.

Aight hot take,

Sigh... he's not a licenced killer, so you don't actually need to pay anything if you don't want to support the devs. Just buy him with shards.
Oh, wait, you're talking about Nancy. My bad.
Fair enough, I guess. IMO Inner Strength isn't even that good a perk. People who love it, love it. I got no beef with them, but you don't NEED it to play well.
i mean, i think this is the first killer ill have to buy with shards. not bc i dont wanna support the devs but uh...
yeah.

I imagine this'll be fixed pretty quickly. Although if there was a bug where generators couldn't be finished at 99%, it would've been fixed yesterday.
the difference being survivors can still die even if theyre not hooked. the game cannot progress without generator completion.
i agree it needs a fix ASAP tho.

Quick psa about how to still hook survivors until bug is fixed drop them in front of hook then hook them fixes it everytime it looks like
For now go for closer hooks to be safe don’t want to go too far and the drop lets them go instead
I hope you all found this helpful if you didn’t already know this tip 😊

It's getting confusing, places where there used to always be a window are getting blocked up and I end up running into a dead zone and dying. Can't the Devs get the balance of windows and pallets right the first itme? Evidently not.
Can't the Devs get the balance of windows and pallets right the first itme?
The entire point of a live game is to update the balance constantly depending on circumstances and the belief of the development team. Shack used to have 2 windows, 1 pallet, no door. There used to be actual infinites in the game. The balance is forever changing.

Okay to be honest Compount-21 used to be an Ultra Rare and is currently a normal Rare. The effect remains unchanged so I can see it getting toned down.
Undying can be nerfed when totem spawns are Saloon/Midwich level of hidden.

Playing a survivor match where my dumbass dead harded directly into a wall, PH hit me with POTD and it looked like Ash damn near had a stroke from how much he was twitching. The chase continued as normal until he m1ed me and nothing happened, his sword just phased right through. I thought that was on janky hitboxes but it happened twice more and I just stood still, and as it turns out literally nothing could hit me anymore. This was on Badham so I'm assuming it had something to do with the wall. Has this happened to anyone else?
@SCP_FOR_DBD said:
Probably should have put this in bug reporting.
My best advice is to ask a mod to close this thread (you can flag your own thread and ask for it to be closed), and then you can create a proper, official bug report. If you need someone to go into a KYF with so you can take a screenshot of the wall in question then lemme know :)

How fast are you healing when you use self care, botany knowledge and desperate measures at maximum potential?
Also,in the info of self care it says you are healing at 50% of normal healing speed (16 seconds),wouldn't that be 24 seconds instead of 32?
Hi I can answer the second question for you:
No, you heal in 32 seconds. How it works is, when you perform an action, you're entering 1/1 charges each second, or c/s. 1/1 is just written as 1, so 1c/s. With self care, you heal at 50% speed, meaning you're entering only 50% of the charges, or 1/2 c/s. 1/2, or 0.5.
It takes 16 charges to fill up the healing bar. When someone else is healing you, they enter 1c/s. 16 charges needed, 16 seconds. When using Self Care, 0.5 charges each second, 16 charges needed, 32 seconds.

We get this discussion like every hour only it changes each and every time. It's survivor then killer then survivor then killer. The devs aren't that biased towards one role or another chief.
Oh and to answer your question, that's a bug not a feature. Ya know, something unintended.

Just slap Deep Wound on Pig's Ambush and Demogorgon's Shred. Fixed.
so a huntress hatchet should be classed as a basic attack? also, deathslinger hitting someone after having speared them applies deep wound and yet still is classed as a basic attack.

I haven't been able to play since the silent Hill chapter. I bought it but every time I try I end up waiting 10 to 15 minutes and if I do land a match someone disconnects and it's time to start the waiting game again. So I go play something else my time isn't worthless. As far as I'm concerned dbd has become not worth playing cuz if your wait time could b longer than an actual match something is wrong.
a couple questions
- what region are you
- what time of day do you play
- what's your ping, roughly
- what role do you play
- is cross-play enabled
- what platform are you
?

The goal of a game is to be fun, but the game imposes to play with addons, and it costs BP... you don't win anything after a game against SWF.
He is here because he likes the game but perceives what you don't perceive...
but the game imposes to play with addons
I've won many, many games as killer and survivor without items or add-ons or offerings.
and it costs BP
Running 2 ultra rare add-ons costs you 14k bloodpoints, which you can easily make up in a single match.
you don't win anything after a game against SWF
Except player XP, bloodpoints, an ego, a fun experience, etc... SWFs still aren't this all-powerful deity that will grind you to sand beneath their Louboutin heel.
He is here because he likes the game but perceives what you don't perceive...
Someone who hates the game enough to go into the official forums, ######### on the devs and game they've made, and then ask why anyone still plays it doesn't like the game.

If by "tunnel" you mean "don't play mercifully," AKA what most people seem to think is tunnelling, then yes. If you mean "get tunnel vision in one survivor and kill them no matter what," then no. That's how you lose.
Agreed. 100% agreed.
Tunneling one survivor all game means you apply 0 pressure to 3 survivors on the map, meaning generators can be completed in 200 seconds (80 seconds for 3 gens to pop at start, ~45 for another, and 80 for the final, 40 seconds travel time). The best way to win against SWFs is to just play hard. No need to tunnel and facecamp and all that bullshit, just play like you want to win. Split pressure, get them off of gens, use your perks to the best advantage (make sure you actually kick gens with Pop, make sure you actually get survivors off gens with ruin, don't chase into your Corrupt area, don't tunnel the obsession with stbfl, etc).
After 1.9k+ hours and coming up 3 years of playing this game, that's how you best SWF teams.

Having coms is like 10 perks
I don't like swf so I'M GONNA NERF THE ######### OUT OF SOLO! BALANCE!
This change would completely and utterly neuter what little, little fun could be had playing solo survivor. It'd finally push me into becoming a full-time killer main, not just someone who plays mostly killer. This isn't balance, it's obviously biased bullshit.
Also ds/bt aren't even that much of an issue except in the endgame. It's not that hard chief.
I hate this phrase, but get good.

Havent had the ability to do that yet so cant wait to see what that looks like. Oh Mchellian Estates... was the tall building removed? Wasnt there like a 3 story building with a chest at the top?
3 story? No, only ever two stories. You could be thinking about the Ironworks of Misery or Coal Tower; both of those maps have a main building with a second floor that can spawn a chest.

It's not as simple as all that now is it? If it would be cleansed at the start of the game with 1 or fewer tokens on it then by all rights the perk should be gone. High risk, high reward right? Now it's more like low/moderate risk to high reward. Ruin is the real problem though. If that perk lasts the whole game it is near impossible for survivors. Some of these maps hide totems really well too. Even with small game it can be difficult to track down totems.
ruin i can see as being kinda annoying, but devour? really? it loses all of it's stacks meaning you have to start again and again, you're limited to 8 hooks, and if it gets cleansed with 2, then 2 again, you can't use it's final effect. another perk i can see being problematic is noed, but that needs Undying to last to endgame.
oh also, i wanna introduce you to a few things, alright?
Novel concept, but one of these things (map + red twine, rainbow map, or detective's hunch) can fit into a build if you're having difficulties. I personally like using Inner Strength, Head On, Quick and Quiet, then Detective's Hunch. Alternatively, if I'm finding that I'm being tunneled frequently I'll use Decisive Strike, Inner Strength, Iron Will, and Detective's Hunch.

It's also shown the serum turned him into a monster who's incredibly instinctual. Whatever he might have been before, he certainly isn't now.
He must retain some form of intelligence, and he's definitely the smartest killer, but the combination of the serum and the Entity means he's not exactly smart, particularly in trials. I think it's actually rather fitting; his own ambition is what caused him to lose the thing he held dear, and what used to help others now hurts them instead. He was driven mad with his own lust for knowledge and in the end he lost it all.
-
I see why people like him but honestly he's just not it for me.
David, however, still remains the King for me (pun intended :p).

Maybe report this to the Bug reports section of the forums if you believe it to be a bug then? Not General Discussions, where the devs don't look for bugs?

Genrushing is really the only counter against good killers the problem with that is it makes the game unfun for both sides, survivors don't want to hold m1 all game and killers don't want to have one chase end and immediately three gens pop right off the bat , when survivors focus on seperate gens they know it's a done deal
Exactly, it'd be better if a lot of the killers people complained about were better at the 1v4 and worse with the 1v1. This is coming from a ph main, but his 1v1 is way too strong, for example.

Even if that was happening to you often - you do have all the resources you need to, in theory, never get caught. Not saying that's a solution, but it's as outlandish as you saying tunneling is somehow happening to you every game. Perhaps you're doing something to get tunneled. 99% of the time when I see someone tunnel, it's either Hag (in which case, she's literally built for that), or a stupid play was made.
I mean, if playing as Claudette because I prefer hiding than looping (yet still last longer than most of my teammates in a chase) is reason to be tunneled then I guess that's what happens. That, or I just seem to face all of the scumbags.
Though I admit I can't speak for the past month, since I haven't touched survivor except for rift challenges. I hate the role at the moment.

The issue with that statement is, that doesn't happen. I've got more hours in this game than most (over 4k hours now), and tunneling *isn't that common*, and a lot of what people call tunneling is just them doing stupid ######### and getting punished for it. Like safe unhooks, or BT body blocks etc.
The narrative of "tunneling is so common hur durrrr" is horse #########. What isn't horse ######### is those who rely on DS are usually the first ones to die regardless.
Well lucky you, unfortunately my experience differs greatly. When there isn't an obsession the killer will abandon chases, even if the person he's chasing is injured, to return to the hook and tunnel someone. That's tunneling, focusing on one person until they die, and from my own personal experience it's happened every game without an obsession within the past 4 months (although there aren't many games like that because after the first 6 times I got sick and tired so I'll always have an obsession perk in my loadout, even if it isn't ds).

Yes because every survivor uses DS as a crutch and not because without an obsession they'll be tunneled relentlessly by a lot of killers. Particularly solo.

Granted, luck would be involved. However, each perk has its own advantages, and learning how to use those perks effectively can result in being skilled in areas your typical Survivor/ Killer hasn't prepared for.
Ironically, I use a DBD Randomizer app for every match and it's impressive how people can 4K/ escape with even the most ridiculous perk combos with no synchronicity. Legitimately, your example of 4 Killer perks I've had on Hillbilly very recently and got a 3K against a mix ofnpurple and red ranks.
Perks do help, but skill and experience are far more effective. Plus, nothing better than escaping a trial with nothing but Slippery Meat as your aid :D
I'm just saying I know I'll get ######### builds but everyone I face will somehow have nothing but pure meta perks.

okay and if I chased someone else what would’ve prevented meg and Steve from just taking their spot? Tell me please.
The fact they'd been chased and would've been either injured or more cautious, as well as having wasted time healing. Had you gone for the one person sticking to gens, then the other three would've had to find the gen they were on or start another from scratch, buying you time.
Steve had Sprint Burst, meaning you couldn't kick his gen. What's the guarantee the jocky or the saver didn't have an exhaustion perk? What's the chances they could have? We'll never know because you never chased them.
Edit: I also never said you applied no pressure. If you read my comment then you'd see I was correcting someone who said all gens could be done in 2 minutes as basekit survivors, which is just factually incorrect.

Weird how even when I’m constantly chasing and have survivors hooked gens still went by in under 6 minutes right now
From your description you chased nobody but Steve and Meg, leaving one survivors to go for hook saves, and one to jocky the gens. If Steve or Meg or the jocky or any combination of them had kindred, this could be seen plain as day.
You never, from your description, chased the other two survivors, leaving them free to do what they pleased.

Remaining one becomes dull AFAIK. Cant confirm yet but it's the likely thing.
One becomes dull however afaik it needs 2 to bind to so the perk vanishes, leaving a dull totem in it's wake. As far as I know, anyway.
