I almost got use out of it once but the blight snuffed the totem before I could pick myself up. If Exponential was in an indoor map with multiple floors, maybe it works better then? Eeven so, I'm still determined to make it work in solo q, and combining it with COH should help as well.
-
I believe survivor spawns are what makes the gens go by too fast. Huge maps could also be a factor for killers with no mobility, but for the most part I think it's survivor spawns, because everyone can spawn separately and they're basically handed a free win if they all just stick to their own gens. There are some occurrences where survivors all spawn together, but overall, survivor spawns are completely RNG and should definitely be changed where they all spawn together at all times. Adding a longer time it takes to do a gen would only make doing the main objective miserable since holding m1 for a very long time is objectively very boring.
Also, the spawn offerings need to be switched for both killer and survivor, they're completely outdated. If a killer decides to burn the offering to separate survivors at the start of the match, they're either a masochist or they hate themselves, lol.

I really hope that this game doesn't make Bubba insta kill like Jason did in ft13, that was so stupid.

I'm not 100% certain how it works so I won't try explaining it, but imagine j-flicks on steroids, instant 180 turns in the middle of a rush.
Oh so instead of around loops, it's when survivors try and spin him?
-
What even is a Lagflick? I have not gone against a Blight in a long time

Isn't hacking in games illegal in South Korea? I've heard a story where a hacker in Overwatch was fined 1k or 10k in Korea for cheating

It's a perk that can work out in a god squad, but not solo q. Kinda like power struggle + flip flop.
A coordinated team who knows what they're doing can make this perk look so broken (Yerv did a vid on it btw) but average solo q players won't get much value out of it. It's just better to run unbreakable because it's something the killer might not expect, or it's more so a backup in case things go south.

So much for trying to be diverse on our builds.

That's an interesting one. So it's basically a skillcheck build
Yeah basically. You never get punished for failing skillchecks for yourself and others

I only p3 Laurie thanks to the anniversary event, and now I'm on my way p3ing Quentin because I only bought him with Auric Cells and didn't get his other cosmetic. I'm only doing this for the bloody outfits, but for any other characters, I've put so many time and hours into my mains lvling them for perks and items, that I could never p3 them. Plus 3% luck for rarer items, not worth it. Unless you just bought a character then I'd say it's worth it, but if you've been playing with your main for so long and you have everything on them, not worth it imo.
-
I love doing chest builds because it's fun looting for items. Although, most of the stuff you find is kinda useless but fun regardless. Plunder's, Ace in the Hole, and Appraisal are fun to use.
-
Survivor's footsteps are pretty loud
-
Survivor Bp build: WGLF, prove thyself, DS + Deliverance (survival points), small game or any totem perk for boldness points. Do two generators with another person, try to get 4 stacks of WGLF if possible, don't engage in a chase at the start of the match so you can get deliverance, bring a map item so you get scouting points and cleansing all the bones if possible. And lastly, if you're in solo q, don't feel bad if it doesn't work out most of the time. But overall, you get more bp playing killer than survivor, but if you do play survivor, it's what I recommend.

Saboteur also has a stupidly long cooldown that triggers even not completing the action. Doing old tome challenges reminded me of this fact.
I agree, saboteur should only go on cooldown once you fully sabo a hook, it's so stupid. and reduce the cooldown tremendously.

wait so if the vault becomes fast does that still make the noise that notifies the killer?
Yeah it does, That's only if you medium vault. It's a perk that's supposed to used in chase, if you wanna get rid of the noise notification, run quick n quiet.
-
Does Doctor's Madness trigger epilepsy as well? I play him myself, and I can understand the fustrations of the voices, screaming, and the static noises as well.
-
Doctor's beginning add-on is the Knight chess piece (don't remember name), it allows you to see the effect of where your static blast will shock too.
-
I'm surprised people aren't running clairvoyance. It has a 64 meter range for everything except bones and including hatch, much better than left behind and open-handed combined.
But in all seriousness, it really sucks when perks like this encourage unhealthy play styles, but tbf, we need perks to help ourselves once we're alone in the trial, but the problem is, it requires your teammates to die or get sandbagged to work
-
If theres one thing I would change from Otz's lore accurate build on Quentin, I would switch out dark sense for adrenaline. It make a lot more sense, especially when he's up against freddy, and give him a medkit with a syringe add-on
-
I wish Laurie could get an ugly Christmas sweater with jack-o-lanterns, and maybe have a dr loomis skin for a legendary.
I think rob zombie's Michael myers has one cosmetic where Michael was just wearing a jack-o-lantern mask and his hair was down. That'll be pretty cool to have too ngl.
But myers needs a model rework, add more textures and depth to his mask.
-
Why do survivors get challenges that are intended for you to throw the game to get something done? I guess the purple glyph one can be throwing for killer since they don't have the time to follow a trail when they need to kill survivors asap.
-
Have you noticed as well, Elodie's rear end doesn't form shape but instead, sticks itself inside of her? I hope that's not confusing but what I mean is, the top end of the rear doesn't connect with the bottom half of her rear to form that round shape, instead it clips inside of her, and you can see that when she wears her new rift outfit, when the pockets of her shorts aren't lining up properly. I would send an image but I'm on ps4

I’ll never understand why some people don’t. My friends told me not to once and I was like okay but this is gonna make the match easier for the killer.
Cleansing against plauge gives her the ability to snowball with her power, pair it with infectious fright and she can get everyone. But since she doesn't have mobility, it's best to split up against her.
-
Hag's play style is territorial and proxy camping with traps. And since her speed is 110%, she's not supposed to be a chasing killer, which I love doing as killer, so therefore I find her boring to play.
But I freaking love Plauge because of her potential to snowball. Just having the ability to deny survivors of healing and getting my power if they do cleanse, it's so satisfying.

It's a killer sided map with some insanely strong survivor loops. What's there to hate?
Is Hawkins a killer sided map or survivor sided map? the answer is, yes.

This is the reason why i use Distortion sometimes.
I don't know if Iron Will can help against Iron Maiden but against Huntress it's best to avoid lockers.
Calm spirit can avoid notifications of you exiting a locker if they have iron maiden. However, calm spirit is very niche and situational to bring for those specific scenarios.

Gone. Reduced to atoms.
Oh, do you not like them at all? I mean I can understand why.

I noticed that you didn't mention dream snares. Are they gonna be gone from this "new" freddy? Or is it just replaced by putting survivors asleep?

Bill in L4D doesn't have perks. No character has any abilities that nobody else has. That's what it means to "not have perks." Nobody can pick themselves up and nobody rescues anybody with invulnerability.
The DBD perks are based on the lore that Bill got Left Behind by his team when he sacrificed himself to lower the bridge to let them escape the zombie horde.
"I know that l4d doesn't have perks"

This is my personal list, there are many useless and situational perks in the game, I just highlighted the obvious ones for me.
Killer perks: Hex: Crowd Control; Unnerving Presence; Dead Man's Switch; Dragon's Grip; Claustrophobia; Unrelenting; Predator; Coup de grace.
Survivor perks: This Is Not Happening; Left Behind; Red Herring; Solidarity; Slippery Meat; No One Left Behind; Lightweight; No Mither; Sole Survivor.
No one left behind is actually good based on what the description says, but the problem is that it requires exit gates to be opened.

I dont even know what it does.
All it does is give you 3% luck for each survivor that is alive, totaling up to 9%, that's it. Complete dogwater on it's own. Slightly okayish when paired with slippery meat.
-
Up the Ante.
Luck overall is such an outdated mechanic and only works on unhooking yourself. Not for finding rare items or, I heard, that it doesn't work on traps. (idk if that's true or not) Overall, it's straight up garbage unless you're doing a kobe build. 3% extra luck for each survivor alive, 9%, you're better off bringing deliverance.

what?
Undying is great at countering boons now.
seriously, try it the next time you see Mikealas. you'll get a ton of free hits. I'm not joking.
like, if you don't get at least one hit/prevent one boon from being set, I'll run No Mither for 3 games in a row. (I'll tell you how that goes.)
Agree, I used it on pig by herself one time on rpd, and i was able to find survivors booning dull totems thanks to that.

The thing Bill does in DBD are not possible in L4D, because
A ) Unbreakable - In L4D you can never get up by yourself once downed.
B ) Borrowed Time - No, because L4D is measured by a max 100 HP system, not by shots like DBD.
C ) Left Behind - No, he does not gain any benefits once he's alone in L4D.
As for the lore I think it reflects Bill pretty well.
Unbreakable - Bill is the oldest veteran (literally) survivor in the original L4D group. He's badass, mentally strong and yeah, unbreakable. He's not someone that lightens up the mood but sorta like that adult who reminds you of reality and encourages you when things go south.
Borrowed Time and Left Behind - Not sure if this is supposed to be a spoiler, but since the game's been out there for like a decade... In one of the campaigns "The Sacrifice", the last chapter has a special gimmick. The four survivors must work together to start up generators to lower a bridge. After the bridge is lowered, however, the bridge needs to be raised again so the zombies can't reach them. This is where one survivor has to make a sacrifice, go back to the closest generator and restart the generator. Obviously that survivor dies, but the rest of the group is safe.
In the comics, it was confirmed that Bill is the one that sacrificed himself for the group. So canonically Bill was "left behind" to "borrow time" for the other three.
Thank you so much.

Same

I think corrective action should just work as well when healing with another survivor or if they heal you. But imagine combining this perk with prove thyself and you dont have to worry about ur teammates missing skillchecks while getting that fast repair
-
I think it has to do with Totem spawns/RNG and it's something bhvr needs to fix.

Keys are indeed affected by open handed. Maps have infinite aura range, but a 8 m detection range. Open handed only affects auras, so it's worthless on maps
But for the 8m detection range on finding totems or hatch, without stamp addons, does open handed effect that?

Oh geez, I didn't expect that. Did you report her by any chance?
-
If you're blinded and you have a good headset, then you should just listen to where they'll be running. Survivors are not completely quiet, and most of them don't realize how loud they are when they run, especially with the panting and heavy breathing when they run. Also, try to remember the setup you were blinded in so that you don't run into walls or get stuck.
-
I mean, it fits thematically on Yun-jin since she's not thinking of others, and she falls in a moral grey area. Maybe this survivor was just role-playing the character and used perks based on their lore/personality, kinda like what Otz did.

better together too?
Maybe? But it's hard to tell since it's the other survivors see the aura. But also, it's not worth using open-handed on perks that have a 128m range, it's basically map wide, and it'll just be pointless. It also works on Map items, and keys, for the aura reading.
