Jake x Claudette. They're both introverts, they both like nature, and I feel like with Jake being more of a lone wolf, bonding with Claudette has allowed him to open up to her about his previous life and problems, and he's learned to be more of a team player. Their relationship can either be platonic or romantic. And with both of them being the first survivors to come to the entity's realm in a long time, they know each other the best. I think their relationship is mostly based on fluff and I think the chemistry between them is real and genuine. Pretty underrated IMO.

Here, run Otz's build from his old video, Gotta-go-fast build. Sprint burst, fixated, urban evasion, and tenacity. Now you move in every category faster. I'm serious, it's actually fun.
-
Since everyone is giving detailed advice, the first thing I would suggest is bringing the perk, Windows of Opportunity, it just got buffed and it's so good for looping, you know where every pallet and window is at all times cuz you're constantly moving around, hell even high level players use this perk, so it isn't just used for training wheels, it's great for rng since some pallets won't always spawn where you think they should be. Also, if you wanna get better at looping the killer, don't bring iron will because you want them to hear you, you want them to know where you are, so that they don't loose you while in chase. Also to get better at looping, watch looping tutorials and run this build, dead hard, resilience, spine chill, and windows of opportunity. Resilience/spinechill gives you 15% vaulting speed, and it can be game changing.
This is mostly advice on what perks to use to get better at looping, for everything else, everyone has advice for you, so don't worry about it.

But the question is, why would a survivor purposely want to go to rcpd? I had a survivor bring rcpd and I was playing pig, and I 4kd all of them. two of them died to their trap (or was it one? can't remember) All-in-all, that map sucks whether you're killer or survivor, and I'm confused on why they deliberately want to go to rcpd.
-
Y'know, I remember someone suggesting the perk Pharmacy should be change to whenever you open chests, every item you get will just be med-kits.
-
Okay imagine this, Probzz for example can run the killer more than 2 mins while injured, because his main build is iron will, dh, resilience, and adrenaline. If the killer is on his ass for a long time, there's no way he's gonna have the chance to heal, and because of this, he goes into the dying state without the killer having to do anything and he just gets a down for free. While he may have wasted time doing so, he didn't earn it, and it would not be fair at all. This mechanic is mostly gonna punish survivors who are being chased by the killer, and while the average survivor may not always run the killer for 2 mins, if there is a carry in the team, then they'll be punished for something that's out of their control. So sorry but no, this is a hard pass. Mending exists, and that's good enough.

I know this is kind of off topic, but I've also been struggling with Boon totem survivors in a different way. I usually carry BBQ in my build, and sometimes I can't see any auras at all but a far gen will still pop seconds after. Or sometimes survivors heal ridiculously fast right after getting unhooked.
I know we've had an increase of exploiters that can do sneaky cheating like this (hiding auras, increased healing speed, etc). I feel like this gives them a perfect cover up. Sometimes it's hard to believe all the survivors can be hidden from me and BBQ but again the range of the boons are pretty large. Same with the really fast healing speed. So a lot of matches I'm left to wonder — are they sneaky exploiting or is it a boon?
It's shadowstep. It hides survivors auras and scratch marks when you're in the boon radius. Shadowstep will counter aura readings no matter how far or close the killer is.
-
I personally use sloppy on pig, since the traps can go off and survivors won't have time to heal when they need to get their trap off.
-
I enjoy playing killer more than survivor based on the fact I have only myself to rely on.
-
Lol. I love your name and profile pic.

The issue is thats using a perk slot thats only useful if they bodyblock.
Yeah, but if body blocking is a big issue for him, it would make sense to use it to discourage survivors from trying to insta-save or bodyblock. Because if a survivor knows that you have this perk, they aren't gonna try to body block. Just like if you don't want survivors to hop on a gen right as the game starts, you bring corrupt intervention.

I would say Dwight has some good teachables. Prove thyself is great to get gens done faster, Bond so you know where your teammates are at, and Leader is a pretty good support perk. While leader may not be game breaking, it's pretty underrated. I remember going against a myers who had devour, and we just couldn't find the totem, cuz we were on midwhich. And once the gens were done, he had someone on hook, and was patrolling the doors. Luckily, the hooked person who we had to leave behind, had kindred, so I went to one of my teammates to get the door open and I had leader. The 25% made a difference, and we were able to get out in time.
And the best part with Dwight's teachables, is that they all synergize which each other because of Bond. So Dwight I believe is a must have with teachables.

Ever heard of Starstruck?

Oh, yeah I guess that's true lol.

If you don't want them to 99 the doors, open it yourself. Problem solved.
Any added "solution" would just cause survivors to open the door and leave to avoid BW or any other mishaps.
Also, no to your suggestion. BW should not be basekit.
I didn't say Bloodwarden should be basekit, that's ridiculous, and killers opening the gates themselves just means survivors can just exit for free. Sure the killer can force the EGC by opening the gates, but then the survivors just get out scott free. If I'm suggesting Bloowarden to be activated the moment survivors open the gates, then maybe there can be some tweaks and changes to the perk, idk.

I suppose I can see that, but it hardly justifies the general response I've been seeing across the forums, it's just a minor annoyance to get the audio cue and not get the hit.
Oh well, I imagine it'll die down over time.
Yeah, I guess because DH is one of the strongest perks in the game that when they saw the "buff", everyone was freaking out, but really it's just supposed to be working as it was intended to from the get go. Although, now it created that same problem it's doing for the killer when the pallet hit validation was brought in.

This. All of this. This entire post.
It's the same thing I said with Pallet Hit Validation; I don't mind if I did actually miss, that's fair. But the game shouldn't be telling me that I did hit them only for it to go LOL JK. In the right (wrong?) hands, DH can be a moral destroyer for the killers. Having someone DH and give me a LOL JK into a Pallet Stun that also gives me a LOL JK is controller smashingly frustrating.
Haha, yeah that's true. I feel that no one's adressing the real problem where on the killers end, it still tells you you hit that survivor when you didn't through the pallet. And it's been in there for months and idk why it hasn't been removed.
-
I do agree with you but I guess from the killer's perspective, it's frustrating when on your end, it tells you you hit them but then the server says you didn't. The problem is that bhvr hasn't fixed that problem where if your hit doesn't validate, why are the survivors still screaming from the supposed hit. It basically a big F you to the killer, and that's something that has to go so the killer doesn't get to illusion that they were supposed to hit them.
Overall, I am glad for this change so that the perk works as intended, same with the pallet stuns, but I also play killer so it's very disheartening when my game tells me I hit someone but it actually didn't.

Survivor Mains don’t understand simple, terminology… or perhaps they don’t want their fragile egos hurt. They couldn’t possibly be getting carried by a perk, right?
Buff (video gaming), a change to a weapon or ability that deems it more viable for game balance.
By making Dead Hard “work as intended”, as they innocently put it, this perk now becomes insanely more viable. There are no ands, ifs or buts here - this is a straight up buff.
But it is suppose to work as intended. Why is it people always said before that they were exhausted on the ground?

I do listen to footsteps and breathing and it is definitely another way to find survivors. Not having scratch marks is definitely harder than not having scratch marks and looking for pools of blood is going to be a lot harder. Can use bloodhound and sort but if a survivor can heal in 16 seconds by themselves with no med-kits and faster with other perks and items, following blood trails is going to be difficult as well. Plus you have to be able to find the survivor to get a blood trail too.
Blood pools are actually quite easy to find, but I can understand if you have a hard time finding them since they are kinda dark. Maybe using Bloodhound can help if you're really having difficulties finding blood pools, and spies from the shadows can help you keep out for the crows alerting where the survivors are. And a survivor cannot fully heal themselves in 16 seconds during a chase, if you're constantly on top of them.
-
Yeah I understand. I'm not epileptic, but the flashlight spamming can be annoying and could probably be something to look into. Also while we're on this subject, this sort of thing can be applied to Doctor and Clown. Doctor's madness power with the static noises, voices, screaming and what not, I feel his power can be very problematic players who suffer from epilepsy as well, and I am someone who plays Doctor myself. And clowns bottles being very disorienting. I remember watching a Puppers video where he explains that if he goes against a clown two times in a row, he has to DC because it'll give him a migraine.
But on the bright of all this, dbd doesn't have a lot of things in the game that can cause epilepsy, and if those examples you and I listed are a huge problem, it's okay to DC for your own sake and health.

You are free to your opinion. I still stand by mine. Call me a noob killer but I absolutely look to scratch marks at least 50% of the game to see the direction a survivor takes. If they going for an unhook or you get sidestepped at a jungle gym. Scratch marks are huge and so are basically disabling aura reading perks and add-ons. I feel its "game-breaking"
I would suggest looking for bloodpools if a survivor is injured and you can't see scratch marks. Also, you can try and listen for footsteps. Yeah the TR music may be blasting, but if you listen closely with a good pair of headphones, you can hear grass moving, breathing, and survivors running.
-
Legion should defiantly get his own TR music, have it be a alt. rock tune.
-
Maybe run the perk left behind
-
While we're at it, can we do something about Sole Survivor?
-
I'm think that the reason that killers can't permanently break totems, because that would disable the ability to use NOED. Seems a bit of a stretch, but that's my theory.
-
I was hoping I could save my hawkins map offerings as like a little collection like with old offerings in the old days, but if I knew they were gonna go from my inventory, I would've just used them up.
-
Nurse's add-on, Plaid Flannel. It's weird cuz pinhead can see where he places his m2 power but not nurse?

Boons dont even work properly and they are already dissabled...we dont need more, specially the kind that will make chases even more anoying for killers, survivors can already loop killers for ages thanks to ridiculous amount of pallets per map, continious safe areas betwen said pallets and so on
For the first sentence, by that logic, Killers shouldn't have as many Hex perks as they do. And I'm confused, they don't work properly, what do you mean by that? Are you talking about the Circle of Healing Boon? It got disabled because it would cause the game to crash. Other than that, the perk does what it's supposed to do. And yeah, I can see your point about the whole chase interaction, that can be annoying.
-
I think some people might be calling it that already
-
So If hatch doesn't reveal, then this perk is just a worse version of detective's hunch
-
Dude, that happened to me when I downed someone and they were on the other side, I had to walk around and then break it.

If you're not running gen slowdown then I dunno what to tell you. Either play thousands more hours and overall get better or play an S tier killer.
Idk if you're joking or not but that's not the point of his post.

I just ran into this last night as well, lol. I would show the screenshot, but I'm on ps4. But this is so stupid, because of this I was able to 3 gen for a while. I tried to warn the survivors by attempting to show them the gen spawns but they ended up three genning of course. I honsestly think this came out after the RE mid-chapter update.
-
I feel there's a lot of survivor add-ons which are pretty outdated and needs a rework, especially the brown ones. E.g the brown toolbox add-on, instructions, makes it so that when working on a gen will not give you skill-checks. I'd say that add-on would've been decent in the old ruin days but now, it's completely useless and has no relevance anymore. And these days, you need skill-checks if you want a gen completed, especially with perks such as stake out and fast track. Or the map item add-on where it creates a marker, it's decent but I wish it wasn't so loud when you use it's secondary effect. It's bad if you can't hear a stealth killer approaching and it's annoying to hear when it's right next to you. You can't get rid of it as well so it's stuck in one area unless you keep spamming it to follow you or place it somewhere else, which can also confuse your other teammates. And finally, as a Doctor main, his two green add-ons that change the shape of his static shock is so awful, needs to be changed into something else entirely.
-
The problem I think is, if dead hard was designed to dodge killer hits, then why are they always exhausted on the ground? It's not a perk issue, it's a dedicated sever issue, that's what really needs looking into. Idk if you ever run into a console player using dead hard but half of the time, their dead hard doesn't always make a difference. And if dead hard does get nerfed, then killers will then have to face sprint burst or lithe players. Imo, I find going up against those perks more annoying than dead hard, because the survivors gaining distance before you arrive I think is more time wasting, then dead hard. But I do understand about using dh to make it to a pallet, there's nothing you can do about that, but at the same time, dh doesn't save a survivor who's in a dead zone.
