I ironically called the male one Wallace and now it has stuck for me.
Wallace & Misty it is.
Tell ya what, Misty does really like to get stuck behind trees. Wallace seems better at that, but he gets confused rather easily. Bless 'em.

Something's cooking
I actually don't know whether to interpret this literally or figuratively.
I'mma go with
Who's doing the cooking? And for whom?
-
I'll bite.
What's under the hat
-
Before I started playing myself, I religiously watched HybridPanda. Now that I've almost amassed 2k hours I don't really watch anyone in particular besides stream highlights. Those mostly coming from Scot and Otz. Occasional random clips from JRM too.
-
Not to sound too pessimistic, but I doubt it. Maybe Bill and/or Ghostface.
-
English patch notes have been posted (properly) now, y'all can ignore this.
-
That's to be expected, is it not? Upon release, it's impossible to tell how well they'll fare. People find uses for what's offered, and realise that said uses may actually be stronger than expected.

Well ur prob in low ranks. The higher you get the less your left on hook. Green ranks is pretty much the point where your not really left on hook purple and red you're never gonna be left on hook if you r not being camped.
I'm a consistent rank 1 my good sir.
-
First of all, "the stats" are highly unreliable, and more of a novelty.
Second, hardly anyone who regulars these forums believes the game is biased towards a particular side. There are some exceptions, but those are balanced out by coming for and from both sides of the spectrum.
-
Keys and Solo Que shenanigans, whilst not very common, are still regular enough for me to just play killer almost exclusively. Too many times (in a row, mind) have I been:
Left on hook (WITH KINDRED)
Abandoned entirely because keys / dc's / suicides
Abandoned on hook because teammates refused to leave the exit areas (I know this one's rare, but in the streak I had two days ago HOOH BOY)
Bodyblocked by survivors after I get unhooked, rendering the entire effort worse than pointless.
Hook "traded" without BT
The only one actually being chased at all, leading to me being the first dead because the others wouldn't take the heat
The only one actively trying to prevent a 3-gen
I ######### you not when I tell you that this happened on-end on Thursday. Not to mention the insidious camping basement Bubba, tunneling Nemeses, proxy-camping Nurse, the amount of times I witnessed teammates self-care against Sloppy... My god.
I know this is an edge-case. I am fully aware. But when this happens so frequently in a single day, I cannot help but feel a teeny little bit frustrated,
-
In theory, cool idea, should've been there from the start.
By now, though, that requires them to make 27 "specials", make 'em somewhat interesting, balance them all out to a degree so that some survivors aren't just objectively better than others. It's simply too much work, and in my opinion, changes the entire game into something that's not DbD.
-
Wallace & Misty, the latter because it's apparently an established name for RE's female zombies.
-
Annoying, maybe.
Toxic? Hardly. Two perks can be taken out of the game entirely so if that's what they tell you, it's just dumb.
-
Daily rituals could always be completed over the course of multiple games. Will say that, in comparison to most specific-Killer dailies, this one seems rather...excessive.
-
All the offering does is return all realms back to having an equal chance of being selected. So yeah, there's still a chance you get the same realm.
I used one once when a Macmillan offering was popped, and I got sent to Haddonfield. It can always be worse.
-
I wouldn't be worried about a singular trial's worth of reports getting you autobanned anyway.
-
@RockScorpion384 said:
lol at everyone saying bait. Youre just delusional. Killers get ran round all game flashlighted everytime they pick someone up, 40 seconds in and 3 gens have popped etc.
this game is extremely survivor biased. Their jobs are simple, they just have to not screw up. Killer actually have to make an effort to get any value.
1 survivor can loop the killer for 2-3 mins around pallets and windows. All while the 3 others get freedom to do gens. Its disgusting and they need to nerf survivors simple as.
If you get flashlight blinded every single time you pick someone up (which is impossible anyhow), you're not aware of your surroundings.
"Killers actually have to make an effort to get any value". What, you just expect to win chases without any meaningful decision making? That sounds rather dull to me.
If you get looped for over a minute without any real value, consider switching targets.
Why does the game have to be biased in some way? The game wouldn't have gone on for 5 years if they really were biased.

I haven't and you aren't supposed to be able to max out everything so fast anyway. This is one of the problems why this game is so unbalanced
Then you admit there is a grind. You are contradicting your previous post.
-
@Rullisi said:
There isn't even any grind. You can easily get every single perk maxed out on every character and you can have ultra rare items on every game and you still have bloopoints pouring out of your ears + added bonus all the bloodpoint bonuses. If anything, they should make it slower to get perks and items to make the game little more balanced.
Are... Are you playing the same game as us? By your statement, you seem to have gotten all perks maxed out on Nemesis not even a day after his release, possibly even P3'd him, AND gotten all his perks on ALL killers maxed out. Same goes for Leon & Jill and all their perks.
Either you are trolling, or you have not slept last night.
-
Some of you are suggesting an opening animation. I don't think this alone fixes the problem of keys, it just makes it so that survivors can't jump out right in your face anymore.
What about the cases where you have no idea where the hatch is? What about when you're chasing 1 survivor, and 2 get out because you couldn't protect the hatch? Adding a 10 sec animation won't stop them.
I strongly believe the Franklin's nerf was unwarranted. According to Mandy, the Franklin's nerf was due to Nemesis' schtick involving an item unique to him. This item could be permanently destroyed because of Franklin's. But then, why wasn't the vaccine made immune to Franklin's destruction? There is clearly a unique rarity applied to the vaccine, why not make that rarity indestructible? Or maybe make 'em return to the box they were found in when destroyed?
Why change an entire perk just, which decidedly is the only actual counter to keys, just for a single tiny aspect of 1 killer? Why render brown and green medkits utterly useless when up against Franklin's? I just don't get this.
-
@Mandy said:
AFAIK this map has been removed, did anyone use an offering or anything?
Nope, just a random pull it seems. I'll post again if I get it again.
-
I can.
-
We have like 6 (?) non-specific themes now. There are still quite a few killers that have alternating themes (even alternating within a single trial). I feel like, although similar, they could tie all 6 of those to specific killer in lieu of giving each their own themes.

Ok but once again, I just wanted to share a little tip I found. I have no idea who the maker of the video is, and quite frankly I don't really care either.
If I was supporting them, I'd be going "omg, look at how many good tips this guy has, he's so smart" and so forth.

The biggest problem with this building is the god window that has a 50% chance of spawning near the basement. Those balconies were never a big deal.
NGL, I have literally never had a survivor loop that window against me. Not once.
-
Y'all really cannot get over the guy's POV, huh? I was just trying to share a cool trick I saw on youtube.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
So the tip is going against a survivor that doesn't know how to loop Haddonfield?
The tip is that you can avoid overshooting the entrance whilst you fall, which would make you lose distance. In doing this, you combine the stagger of the missed hit with the moment that you would overshoot the fall, making it so that you can move immediately upon falling, losing virtually no additional distance.
-
MMR was on this very week, and has been gathering data for what I believe is close to a full year now. If you could change Killers whilst the match has already been made, it skews the data.

What is that? Please, tell me there are no cursed pictures on the Internet, I must research now.
Stuff a marshmallow in your mouth, and say "Chubby Bunny". Then stuff another in your mouth and do the same, rinse and repeat. You're not allowed to chew, and it goes on until you can't hold them in anymore.
-
If anything, this is the precise point of SBM. Chances are you previously got matched with survivors below your skill level, and now that SBM is (hopefully) actually working, you will have significantly harder matches.

It does actually fit his character, I'd describe his play style as a shade, stalking you from the fog
Shape, not shade. I believe the nickname was never mentioned in the movie itself, though it was in the credits iirc. Although, given the film's massive popularity, it's safe to assume at least one survivor knows of this nickname.
-
Very few killers' nicknames actually allude to what their power actually is. On the top of my head, those would be Trapper, Plague, Nightmare, Deathslinger, Twins and maybe Doctor.
-
“Say goodbye to your dbd acc”
”no need to say anything, we know”
”we recorded it all”
[...]
”How did you know where I was [when you picked Jane up]?”
me: “Your feet, they make noise.”
Then they proceeded to claim that Meg was one of the quitest survivors. This was a rank 4 player, too.
-
Oh, I remember my many attempts at Evil Incarnate. The DCs... So many DCs...
This was pre EGC, mind you, so I also HAD to find hatch before the last survivor did, otherwise the entire attempt would be void. Had a fair few that would just DC as soon as they saw me on the hatch. Not to mention how long it takes to fill up tier 3 with both iridescent add-ons.
Then, The Game. There was this one Ace in the bathroom. He thought I couldn’t see him, but I was draining him, and fast. Not enough to get to tier 3, but I did get those two pallets out of him.
Then I quite literally ran into a Bill. Damn, still not enough before he broke LoS. Close, though.
Second gen done, need to hurry. I approach the gen to find the two that completed it healing. Bam, tier 3. Meg was the first to go. Poor thing hadn’t even seen me yet. Dwight quickly followed.
Another generator done. That means hatch has appeared.
I frantically clear the lower floor. Never knew the layout so perfectly.
There, at the drop of the pig machine. Hatch located, now what?
I patrol all gens. No progress on any. Thankfully, they were all somewhat close together.
I go another round. Still nothing.
Another. Nothing.
I decide to check on hatch. Nothing.
I do a reverse patrol. I once again literally run into the Bill. His sudden appearance startled me and I lunged. He was down, but not dead. Hook him? No, he’d just suicide, voiding the attempt. Maybe the other guy will pick him up.
I check on hatch, still nothing.
Patrol gens again, also still nothing. Bill hasn’t been picked up yet, Unbreakable seemed unlikely.
I consider my options. I need to mori Bill too, meaning I have to let him get off my shoulder if he’s not gonna get picked up. If I do that after the third guy’s dead, Bill may find the hatch. Can’t have that, so I pick him up and let him get off.
I check on hatch again, then the gens. I find Bill again. In the spur of the moment, I mori him on the spot.
Crud, where was hatch again? Oh thank God, there it is.
The pallet at that loop was still up. If I have to break it, the last guy might make it to the hatch in time.
Speaking of which, who is-
And Ace peaks around the corner. Points at me. What’s he going to do? If I approach him, he will throw down the pallet and make it to hatch.
And so we stand in the tensest hatch stand-off I’ve ever had. Would this be the one? He runs around the pallet for a bit. I suddenly approach him doing so, and he drops it. I quickly retreat to the hatch.
And then he got just a little bit too close. I run at his dopy face, and Myers lifts him by his neck. I stare at Ace’s sunglasses, begging him not to DC. And as if Myers knew poetic irony, he throws Ace’s corpse towards the hatch.
”Achievement Unlocked: Evil Incarnate”
I have never had a single match that I can remember as clearly as this one.

Stop getting caught. Every hit a Survivor takes is user error.
Are you using an exhaustion perk? If so, are you using it properly?
(Example: Sprint Burst is a great perk. However, sitting on a gen until the Killer is in arm's reach, or walking in a circle until the Killer is right on you, and then breaking into a sprint... These are not good uses of Sprint Burst. And yet, I see it probably EVERY game.)
I realise the user has been banned, but “stop getting caught” is utterly nonsensical. This isn’t a PvE game.
If it were at all possible that survivors would never EVER get hit because of a certain strategy, all survivors that want to win will use said strategy, and then the game could become wholly unplayable for Killers. As survivor, you WILL get hit at some point. The Killer has to have a solid chance at winning the game to, you know.
I just hate killers that go out of their way to chase me straight off the hook, even sometimes abandoning another chase to do so. BT typically does very little in that scenario.
-
The only reasons I’ve ever been given is to not rank up, or for the funnies.
Alternatively, it may just be pettiness to deny the opposition BPs.
-
What would it do to Spirit if, purely hypothetically speaking, she hears sounds non-directionally when phasing, instead of hearing everything like normal?
It reduces makes the information she gets, but I feel like it may also be overkill. Thoughts?
-
Honestly? Ever since the nerf, I have never taken off DS. I hate hard-tunnelers with a burning passion.
-
Nemesis, Furtive Chase, eating DSs. You need to force it, yes, but it can be done.
If you’re lucky, you may even see someone use For the People.
Definitely not impossible, though it does require a bit of brute force.
-
As Killer, when I’m unable to secure a quick chase and gens keep popping left and right. I just throw open the gate and see what happens from there. I actually got a handful of kills from overaltruistic survivors in doing so.
For Survivor, it comes down to the teammates. If they all royally (and intentionally) screw me over by being worse than useless, I just raise the proverbial finger, wait for the killer to be nearby and just run to the closest hook. Or alternatively, if the option is available, I’ll try to find the hatch.
I have only twice in my entire playtime intentionally DC’d, and both times were because of old OoO.
I have never intentionally DC’d as survivor.
-
I’ve come to the realisation that I typically leave matches satisfied if I got 24K or more BPs out of it. As survivor, that tells me I did something for the team, regardless of my own survival. For Killer, it tells me I at least tried my best and at this point I don’t really care about anything else anymore. Emblems were never it for me.
-
If they were coming back, I think we’d have seen some by now. We don’t have a shop for them either, so don’t get your hopes up.
-
Yes, gimme that twink. I never even played any RE games but he’s my favourite character by far.
And he also looks a bit like me, so it only makes sense.

Do you see how quckly this game fell down?
They used to keep a stable 1k to 2k players a few weeks ago and now they can barely keep a 800.
To be fair, it's a team of 3 people + one guy doing the music. Not to mention that the multiplayer Dark Deception: Monsters & Mortals is not even their "main" project at the moment. They most likely can't afford dedicated servers, so it's rampant with latency shenanigans and blatant hackers.
-
I've now observed that it happens immediately after a match.

Curiously, yesterday, all the killers I've versed that had the charm equipped 4k'd. Maybe you're onto something here...
