When it's a Bubba, the typical garden variety Bubba who, of you're unfortunate enough to be caught first before you can even touch a gen and get captured and taken to the basement and get face camped then yeah. You didn't earn any pips because you were unfortunate enough to only sit on a hook until you finally die. Or any killer who didn't like something you did and therefore, you were worthy enough to be face camped. But mostly, you'll find it's the Bubba's.
In some cases though, if you did gens, did altruistic actions or saves, were in a chase and lost the killer a bit and finally get captured and face camped, you could still pip.

I honestly think he's fun. He adds a bit of horror back into this game. Those elephant steps are terrifying when being chased.
This. Ran into a Nemesis the other night who was running tinkerer. It happened to be the house of pain in haddonfield and I'm minding my own business, working away on the gen and all I heard through my headphones is this loud footsteps thudding and I was like ??? What is that - is that ? Next thing I know, Nemesis is pulling me off the gen all because he didn't have a terror radius. 🙃 First and only time I've ever let that happen to me from a Nemie. It was truly a terrifying experience.

Dance With Me and Windows are Kate's best perks. Windows gives valuable information in solo queue as to which resources have been used and Dance With Me is excellent for the Houdini build. I prefer the chase though, if only to improve my looping (which is why I've also been working without Iron Will) as I'm not the best looper and want to get better at it and I feel I kinda am. Off topic but yes! DWM is a great perk for the build you have in mind. Leave killers scratching their heads! 😂

Try getting shelter woods 3 times in a row. Which happened to me.
I feel this. One day I got nothing but the Autohaven and Macmillan maps. Every few days or so RNG just gives me those maps and nothing else. I wish RNG would rotate maps more evenly.

Eh. I always already say GG as soon as everyone loads in and notices it's a Spirit. If it's a decent / bad Spirit without Stridor, I'll probably do fine. If it's a god tier spirit that includes Stridor then what I said when I first noticed it was her in game load in still stands... Gg.

As Survivor or Killer?
I have had multiple Pips today as Killer. But as Survivor, I can get a 23k BP-game, die and barely make the Blackpip (yes, BPs have nothing to do with the Emblem System, but it seemed odd to get so many BPs and still barely make the Blackpip).
Survivor. And that's the thing, I haven't had ANY pips. Good or bad even though I've earned both pips and de pips. It's just stuck at rank 5 at 1 pip. It won't go up or down and I know, positively, I've pipped up more than once today so I should be back in red ranks but it's just... Stuck. Doesn't matter how much or how little BP I get, how well my emblems are, it's not moving. Not even giving my, "wow you sucked this round." Pips. This sucks.

Step One: Get close to Spirit to see if she's phasing and if her shards are glowing.
Step Two: Take a katana to the face and rest comfortably on a fat hook. 😂
Honestly, I just walk away from the tile / loop especially if she thinks I'm gonna go for the pallet rather than run cuz well... Scratch marks. Maybe leave a bread crumb trail if I can while going the opposite direction of said bread crumb trail. Might throw her off my scent for a hot second until she catches on and it only grants a few more precious moments of life and delaying the inevitable. 🤣

Im not sure how you get the "hopeful and sophisticated songbird" look from the old Kate, considering in this very image she looks like a mannequin with soulless eyes. The new Kate has life to her eyes and she looks youthful and energetic. In my opinion, the new changes are a marked improvement.
I think I connect it more with the backstory of hers + her introduction trailer that just stuck with the old model if that makes sense. She just looks like a step back to me. But like I said, I'm on the fence and haven't decided if I like it or not. I certainly don't hate it. I'm just meh about it atm. I could always change my mind about it in the future certainly.
I'm glad you like it though. :)

luckily I own pink bunny Feng, if you see a wild Bunny Feng Min with the user Nyxturne, you know who it is ^w^
Same!! The pink bunny outfit is my favorite on Feng even if it gets me tunneled sometimes... It's so cute I love it. And noted! Hope to see you one day in the fog. :))

Before you murder me, can I boop the snoot as my final request, I usually play Feng Min, and my gamertag is Nyxturne (on console so I can't really change it lol)
So this is if I ever encounter you in a match, this is my one request ^^
And for everyone, good luck with your following matches, you deserve it!
Edit: I also wish to boop Bunny Legions as well
I am a console piggy and I'll only allow a Feng to live if she's wearing her bunny outfit. You boop as bunny Feng, you live. They're just too precious I cannot kill them. Unless they're being nerve grating then they gotta go.

Hm. I don't know if I like it quite yet. I keep going back and fourth between, "it's not that bad." To, "What have they done to my girl?" Like... I don't know. I agree with others that she looks... Younger? Like teens and she almost loses the look of hopeful songbird, a sophisticated adult and more like ambitious young teen who wrote her first song not too long ago like I just do not know.
I like the hair tho. I like you can see the dirt on her and her tattoos are still there thankfully which adds to my confliction if I like this or not.

For me it would be:
Meg: Sprint Burst - I know it's one of the best exhaustion perks but for me personally, I don't like using it and vastly prefer Quick & Quiet and Adrenaline. They fit my playstyle more and work with my usual build.
Claudette: Botany Knowledge - I just think it's the least helpful. It's usually only beneficial when ran with something else or when a med-kit is brought in. I don't think it's worth a perk slot, unless the build is dedicated to healing.
Dwight: Leader - Although Leader can still be very useful at times, it is often the least helpful of Dwight's three teachables.
Jake: Calm Spirit - I think that Calm Spirit is useless if I'm honest. I'd never run it. Saboteur and Iron Will are far superior in my opinion.
Nea: Urban Evasion - This was close between Urban Evasion and Street Wise, if I'm honest. I think that Street Wise is just a bit more helpful across the board whereas Urban Evasion is only really helpful against a Hag. Plus a lot of people who run Urban Evasion seem to play scared and never make saves ever.
Bill: Left Behind - I think this one is self-explanatory. It's kind of pointless, especially when compared with his other teachables.
David: We're Gonna Live Forever - Honestly, I considered putting No Mither but it can be useful in the right builds. The reason I went with We're Gonna Live Forever is because I don't see it used ever and I feel like there are other, better perks you could run that speed up healing. The only thing it's good for is bloodpoints but I'd just rather run an offering than waste a perk slot.
Laurie: Object of Obsession - Purely because it was nerfed into the ground. It's not useful anymore.
Ace: Up The Ante - Slightly more luck is not that helpful unless everyone is running Up The Ante. So it is just not worth it. Open-Handed and Ace In The Hole are way more helpful.
Feng: Technician - Once you've got some game experience, you can usually hit skillchecks so it's not really needed.
Quentin: Vigil - This was a toss-up between Vigil and Wake Up!. They're both not super helpful and are rarely used. The reason I didn't put Wake Up! is because it can be used to counter Remember Me whereas Vigil will only be helpful if you are near another survivor and they are affected by something (which is less likely unless you are running after a survivor that is being chased).
Tapp: Detective's Hunch - His other perks are just more useful in my opinion. After playing the game for a while you begin to learn where generators and totems are likely to spawn so do not really need it anymore.
Kate: Windows of Opportunity - much like Detective's Hunch, with more game experience, you being to learn where windows and pallets are so it's not that useful. This compared to Boil Over and Dance With Me, with both of them being very useful in particular builds (this especially being the case for Dance With Me).
Adam: Autodidact - It's just useless. It takes so long to come into play that you might as well have not ran it in the first place. Diversion may be a bit of a joke but at least it's fun and can be occasionally useful. Deliverance is clearly his best perk.
Jeff: Breakdown - Honestly it's not a terrible perk, it's just the worst of the bunch. I feel like it was only made to try and prevent tunnelling straight off the hook, but hook spread out would still allow the killer to hook them elsewhere.
Jane: Poised - It's just a bit pointless. It's not worth a perk slot. There are better perks that hide scratch marks or reduce their duration.
Ash: Mettle of Man - Before it's nerf, I would have said it is his best perk. Now it's so situational that it never comes into play. At least with Buckle Up and Flip-Flop they can be occasionally helpful. Honestly, I don't like any of his perks.
Nancy: Better Together - Fixated and Inner Strength are clearly more helpful. That's it.
Steve: Babysitter - It's not that useful. Although it can help your teammate, it puts you at a disadvantage and its benefits don't even last that long. Second Wind and Camaraderie are way better.
Yui: Lucky Break - This one was hard because I love Yui and actually quite like all of her perks. I only picked Lucky Break because it doesn't fit my playstyle and can only be used once but I do believe that it can be really good in certain builds.
Zarina: Red Herring - It's just not that helpful. I think it's a bigger waste of time to touch a gen and then go find a locker just to create a notification for the killer, who may or may not go to it.
Cheryl: Repressed Alliance - I wasn't sure whether to put Blood Pact instead because it is kind of situational, but now with the fact that there is an obsession every game it is more helpful. I just think that Repressed Alliance takes too long to be useful and most killers will just wait it out if they want to regress the generator. Plus many killers run Ruin so it would be completely pointless in those games.
Felix: Visionary - It's easily his worst perk. It's just Deja Vu but worse.
Elodie: Power Struggle - This one was hard because I like all of her perks but I feel that Power Struggle is often the least helpful. It's extremely situational since most killers avoid walking through pallets when carrying a survivor. Plus it requires a certain amount of wiggle progression, making it even harder to use.
Yun-Jin: Self-Preservation - I like all of Yun-Jin's perks and by no means do I think that Self-Preservation is a bad perk, I actually like that it's quite selfish. I just think that it's the least useful in gameplay overall when compared to the other two (however in the right build it would be great).
Jill: Blast Mine - I think all of Jill's perks are interesting and could be useful. Blast Mine just takes the longest to come into effect and be helpful.
Leon: Bite The Bullet - I'd rather run Iron Will. Plus Flashbang and Rookie Spirit seem more useful.
I disagree on Detective's Hunch and Window's of Opportunity. Detective's is fantastic paired with Inner Strength, you find totems you don't have to take a gamble on if it could've spawned there as you see it's literally feet away, sometimes you find ruin or devour immediately with it. It's also good for chests and remaining generators. It's just a time saver in my opinion. Plus it's come in clutch in a match where as soon as the last gen popped, there was NOED and there was only a couple totems left and one was actually pretty well hidden. I don't think the team could've found it fast enough but with Detective's, I saw the aura of its location and found it pretty easily. Turned out to be NOED.
Windows, I don't use it so much as a "find a pallet" because I do agree you do tend to know where pallets spawn (although sometimes I don't and I'll touch on that in just a second), I use the perk for more of a resource tool of what's been used and what hasn't. I've found it incredibly useful in solo queue. I'm also a very visual person so seeing the outline of windows and pallets around me help me plan my escape. Sometimes I just don't remember where pallets spawn and it's partially because of my ADHD (sometimes if I'm all "juiced up", my brain just isn't there for muscle memory of pixelated pallets). I think it might also be extremely helpful to people who may experience memory difficulties or just like the visual to put together an escape blueprint imo. :)
Boil Over, however, is complete trash and I wish they'd just rework it already it's so useless. Like I just question... Why Everytime it comes up when I'm carrying someone as killer lol

Kate and Dweet. Don't judge me, I always found the dorkiest men attractive. Blonde chicks? Oof. Enough said.

I had this thought one time that killer could pick placement of their totems. Giving survivors a chance to scrounge for them and maybe killer a shot at having their totem up for longer than 20 seconds. Dunno how this idea would work but it's an idea I had.

You're not wrong. Spirit _can_ be juked if people use half a brain when it comes to scratch marks. When I play her, I notice a TON of people just holding W or camping pallets. This is not how you counter her. The scratch marks can be manipulated to trick a Spirit / throw her off guard. painreliever does a good example of this in my opinion on his vs Spirit video. And no, he wasn't even using Iron Will either. He does however uses Spine Chill to also juke her while she's phasing. I recommend giving it a watch to anyone struggling with juking her, even I learned something new from it (the spine chill usage to counter her in phase walking)!

Victor latched onto another survivor in the distance; look, he's just having the time of his life alright? Leave him alone.
Huntress' lullaby.
My main girl Kate's wiggle noises as she's being carried to a hook. Same with Feng.
Dwight's, "ooh!" When picked up to be carried to a hook.
Piggy's stun noises. Also the jigsaw boxes laughs when it's the wrong jigsaw box.
Still be cool if the hello zepp theme played seconds before your trap goes off.The doctor's laughs.
David's scream going down from all the way across the map just makes me laugh, don't even ask why.
Myers stun noise; as someone else said, his "kick to the nuts" stun noise. 😂
Nemesis' chase music.
Claudette's final scream on death hook. Bye bish.

I don't main Spirit but I'm on the fast track. As others have stated, she's just super fun to play. I like how much map pressure I can have and how phasing, fake phasing can cause survivors (potatoes anyways; the smart ones usually put up a better fight) to mess up and in essence, I like the sense of control she can give you. I like how a bad start of a match can turn it around and snowball from there to land you at least a 2-3k. She can handle swfs extremely well, and obliterate solo queue. I also like how her phasing can cause unpredictableness as you don't know where she's coming from, you can just take a wild guess and hope you read the Spirit better than she can read you.
I also really love Japanese lore and I jive with the Ju-On vibe she's got going on from her backstory. She's neat. I really just like enjoying her even if I horribly lose the match to great survivors. She's just one of those chill killers for me. I think everyone should have their zen killer, the one they can just always have a good time with no matter what. :)
-
They'll spawn in the most unusual of places or in spots where totems and chests spawn. Took me a day and a half to find the little b*stard but I eventually found him. Imo he's easier to find as killer. I used Wraith to zoom around the map invisible when EGC began and found him behind a log on the swamp map. I'd recommend taking this whole day to look for him because the event ends tomorrow.
-
Exposed Piggy build using the perks Haunted Grounds, Devour Hope, MYC and Dragons Grip I believe are the four. Been trying to get this build to work flawlessly for ages tho. In my defense I'm slowly getting rusty with piggy because I've been so hyperfocused on Spirit like obsessively.
For survivor, I use Any Means Necessary and Breakout when I'm feeling spicy. Sometimes I'll combine Any Means and Smash Hit together. Or all three with maybe Windows to pair with Any Means. Or I'll replace Windows with whatever else I'll feel like. I dunno, it's something fun to do every now and then.
-
Most likely. Resident Evil is probably my ultimate franchise tied with Bioshock. I'd either change it to a Jill portrait or one of her perks. Probably the one where after you're unhooked, you're already 50% healed. I just think Jill is neat.
-
Lololol sounds like red ranks who depipped and were salty.
Ignore them, do your thing. Salty survivor mains gonna stay salty. I'd love you as killer honestly, I love roaming the map collecting goodies from the chest to take with me. I don't even care anymore if I depip as red rank. I've reached that point in my dbd career. Some people just care too damn much about this game to remember it's just a video game.
-
To me, he's not so much boring but now more annoying. Without sprint burst or seeing him miles away, you have no real shot of getting out of his free hit when he uncloaks. Especially if he blocks you in.
It's never a good idea to camp pallets with wraith I've found. It's never a good to camp pallets with any killer actually but especially standing still playing the guessing game when chances are he can get you before you can react quick enough. I have made Wraith eat some pallets before by acting stupid like I didn't know he was there so he would confidently wait behind me to uncloak and BAM. Eat on that bish.
Anyways, my point is, he's more annoying than anything now to go against. I just wanna smash that spicy dc button. But I don't. 'Cause unlike some of my past teammates, I don't screw my team over now matter if I maybe hate them for sandbagging or costing me or another survivor life somehow. Unless you sell me out like a rat then perish but other than that, nah.

As a Survivor... maybe Rank 3-5? I almost only play Solo Q and know how every mechanic works and most strats but sometimes my brain shuts off for no reason and I go down in the dumbest of ways. Most of the time I do fine though and know how to counter mindgames and where to take chases so that my team can either work on gens or the killer has to leave me but not enough to come close to being a "real" rank 1.
As a Killer it mostly depends on the type of Killer that I am playing. As a Trapper/Hag I would see myself rank 10-12 since I am good at m1 chases but suck at trap placement for the most part, but as Blight and some other killers I would probably be rank 1, since I am confident enough to play perkless and I also literally couldn't find a game in 2 hours while SBMM was tested.
"I know where to take the chase so my teammates can work on gens." Same. I might not be the best in chases but I do have common sense to keep the killer away from gens my team is working on. I'll take it as far as I can away. What I'm repaid with however, is Claudette who hasn't even been hooked once finally gets in a chase and brings the killer literally right by me on the gen who is on death hook. 🙃
-
Red rank as survivor but I get demolished half the time because I don't do well with looping and rank 1 killers can sniff it out and I'm usually tunneled out once they realize it. Maybe green ranks for sure. I can do decently but not decently enough with a rank 1 killer who can make me face plant right into him. Nothing against those killers, I just need to get better at my looping but the idk what the issue is?? I've studied YT vids and checked up on looping guides but nah I still face plant right into them or I'm not making it to pallets on time and I go down. Really frustrating when you feel useless to your team. So green. Don't even know how I'm at red ranks since I'm trash.
Killer I'm good at purple. I'm better at killer than survivor apparently.
-
Not really. I don't play him often but when I do, not really. You might think / feel you're getting tunneled but you're probably realistically not. Most killers go by who they view as the weakest link of the group and eliminate them as fast as possible. Some of them don't intend to tunnel, they go by who they happen to see first and if that's always you then unlucky. Also bad for you if you have immersive gamers that hide so naturally you'd be the one the killer would find. You're new to the game right? So grey ranks aren't known for their chivalrous bravery when it comes to the killer. They tend to hide even when they hear a branch snap. I wish I could say it's only grey ranks but I've come across fellow red rank teammates who hide in a locker when the faint heartbeat is heard! Wild stuff man.
Other killers on the other hand, will tunnel you to death. Sometimes just for the fun of it or they're petty / spiteful enough, especially if you've looped them for too long or pallet stunned them one too many times or simply made them look like fools. A key in your hand in the lobby is asking to be tunneled, make sure you don't equip one in the lobby.
in case you're curious what true tunneling is, it's when the player goes out of his way to single out one particular player. An example would be this Spirit game I had one time and is the finest example I have. When the game immediately began and my teammate blew up the gen we were on, out of the two she chose me. Chased me a solid two minutes and naturally 2 gens popped, I get hooked finally. Get unhooked and she completely ignored the other person. I thought maybe she was just going for the easier target, no big deal until I accidentally ran right next to my teammates working on a gen. She ignored them completely even though she HAD to have seen them and still chased me. Ran her for another minute, another 2 gens popped and finally she downs me again; second hook. Got unhooked and she waited for me to be unhooked so she could tunnel me out. A teammate tried to take a hit, take aggro but she completely ignored them. I ran her for the last gen as long as I could and finally I died. I didn't get to touch a single gen in that match save the one my teammate blew up that got me discovered in the first place and that was only for like, 15 seconds. I did absolutely nothing to her. No teabagging, no flashlight clicking, nada. Sometimes killers tunnel, just to tunnel.
I do agree with one statement made that in higher ranks, he can be tunneled. He has the Unbreakable teachable and that turns what the killer was already celebrating as a win as a turn around. He thinks he's won, only to see Bill got back up and unhooked Jane, got Cheryl off the floor all the while you're just now hooking David and low and behold a few short moments later, the killer sees they're all healed and up thanks to un-f'in-breakable. It's a game changer not many higher ranked killers want to deal with.
Not that I've kept a record or anything buuuuut, I've gotten tunneled the most playing Bunny Feng. :(( but that Spirit game happened to have been me playing my main gurl Kate tho so no bunny. I doubt it would've made a difference since she was so dead set (no pun intended) on seeing to it I was not leaving that match alive.
-
I've been playing Spirit more frequently and no, I don't restrict myself to perks or add ons. It's whatever I feel like slapping in there (Haunted Grounds is always a must hehe), revel in all the dc's after I smack them post phase.
I don't hate going against her anymore once you know how she works, she becomes only a bit easier to dodge / juke. Usually if it's a super good Spirit player, it's all ggs from the moment the game starts tbh. But yeah I don't mind going against her much anymore. I'm aware of the standing still flick so I don't tend to fall for it which results in a stand off between me and her which then, in that moment, she knows that I know. I call her bluff on it often. Sometimes it works out and sometimes wouldn't you know it, she actually phased the whole time lol
Same with Nurse actually. Though I can't play her, it's starting to come easier to juke her.
-
I got hard tunneled by a Spirit for 5 gens. Dunno what I did to her, probably killed them as killer so maybe revenge but she wanted me dead. Found me 2 mins of the start of the game, tunneled me off hook until death. I depipped for it too. Sometimes it just happens man. Sometimes they just really be feel themselves.

This is why when I'm killer, all Claudette's must perish. No matter what.
-
I feel like Myers should be higher on the list. Most of the time I go against them, they hook the first person they see and face camp either stalking people in the process for tier 3 or have it ready to pop for a squad rescue.
Or the Myers players usually get so salty when you've ran them for 2-3 gens and when they finally catch you, you get face camped and hit on hook.
Bubba I agree no words are needed for his placement on this list. LOL

I've played Twins before, I know they're campy lol but no, no they didn't do other stuff as Charlotte. They were in control of Victor face camping me. Moving around where you can clearly see them in control of Victor just face camping.

oh my goodness thank you so much for taking the time to write all this, this was legitimately super helpful! i still need to work on identifying each players’ skill level per match, but like you said, it’s really effective when you can pinpoint the weakest link. i feel my biggest problem with these groups is pressuring effectively, bc typically they’re communicating which gens they should do together and whatnot, so i still need to grind for some of the good gen regression/pressure perks like thanatophobia, discordance, pop, etc.
Oh yeah the comms is tough ASKDKF I still struggle sometimes if they're super well coordinated and I lose which suckssss but there's always room to get better is what I say. Glad this was helpful though!!

Honestly this is the best thing I have read so far. I'm pretty new to the game and I do enjoy playing killer over survivor (mostly because solo que kinda sucks). But It's really annoying when you get the SWF groups that flame you after the game because you killed one of them. Like how should I play killer? Go after each one of you one at a time? Get looped by a really good survivor for 8 minutes? Because according to them I'm the ######### for going after the slower player and hitting anyone that tries to rescue them. Like I don't mind most if not all of the survivors winning when they out play me. I'm a noob, I'm expecting to be out played. But like what is wrong with these people? It seems like anything the killer does to try and win is "tunneling" or "camping". I try not to just stand in front of the hook, but if I see you sneaking around I'm not just gonna run away and let you get a save for free. (Sorry this is turning into my own rant).
Just wanted to say (as a newer player) that I already am seeing these issues and GenJockeyNance's words are nice to hear.
I hear you about solo queue absolutely sucking. I generally don't really play solo anymore unless I'm bored and don't want the stress of killer or playing with friends. I endure it on killer and sometimes the swfs are wild.
But absolutely ignore the survivor mains. You're doing the right thing if you notice someone creeping near the hook for the save waiting for you to leave. As you climb ranks, the hooking one at a time does not work anymore as people in those ranks generally are gen jockeys, some of them with actual brains and a sense of time management. Pressure. Is. Key.
Survivors do not like it when you get their weak link out of the game. They really don't like being tunneled out and I get it. Being tunneled sucks. Sometimes killers just be like that sometimes if they're feeling themselves. Recent game, as SOON as the match started, this Spirit wanted me dead. It was a 5 gen chase that eventually got me killed but my team got out and she only got a 1k off it but I didn't cry about it. I moved on.
Lol you can stand a quarter mile away, listening for any nearby gens being worked on and you're "camping" so really, just play as you want and ignore survivors and their made up rulebook. A killer's job is to kill, not be their pal. You've already got good instincts as a new killer. Glad my post helped you out a bit. :)

I will if the mood is right and he's the last survivor left. Generally I gotta be in a good mood already and friendly Adam in question is the last survivor left, why not? Lol it's never worked out yet for me that an Adam was the last survivor. I don't see many of them often. :(((

I'll usually always give Hatch to the survivors I main if they're not toxic so Kate and Nancy sometimes Yui and Tapp but it never works out with a Yui or Tapp cuz sometimes I have to sacrifice them or the Yui is toxic :(( haven't came across a toxic Tapp yet tho. It's a 50/50 if I see a Bunny Feng as I play Bunny Feng too if I'm not feeling Kate or Nance so she's like sub main. If they're not toxic, I'll give hatch. If you teabag me or clicky clicky, I'm gonna shake my head at you in disappointment as a fellow Bunny Feng and sacrifice you.
Default Steve's are also 50/50. Usually no because they're toxic but if I'm in a good mood and one isn't toxic I'll give hatch. Like a rarity match as Hag in Haddonfield one time after I slaughtered the team, it was only Claudette and Steve left. And all Claudette's must die. She kept fighting me to a hook, wiggled out twice and poor Steve almost bled out because Claudette couldn't get with the program. Finally she gets sacrificed and I was in a decent mood, Steve didn't BM me so I let him finish the last gen and leave.
I'll be damned if a Claudette is getting hatch. She must perish at all costs. I usually don't let David's live either but if I can tell they're a baby, I'll let them go before a Claudette. And Bill's. Sometimes I let a Bill go but again, it's rare. I'll let Bill's go if they're a baby or an adorable potato.

I agree. I would love for there to be an option for killers to end the game once EGC starts and there not be any punishment or it counting as a DC. It's so unnecessary when all 4 survivors are at the exit gate(s) just teabagging or hanging around. I get the argument people stay to ensure their team's safety to an extent but when a minute has passed and there is clearly no sign of a chase (on coms, they'd definitely know no chase is being had) then they should leave so everyone can move on to the next match.
The argument of, "I/we stay at the exit gate to give the killer some extra hit points." No, screw your pity points. Most killers I can assure you do not want your pity points, we just want to move on to the next match as quick as possible.
Like I said, I'd love for there to be a button replacing "leave match" when EGC starts and it doesn't count as a DC because in reality, you're not leaving the match, you're just moving on and killers shouldn't have to be punished for it and survivors go about their merry way teabagging, wasting everyone's time.

3 people on hooks... Something went very very wrong somewhere. Whether it was you unknowingly or your teammates. I'm assuming by the time you got hooked, the first guy hit struggle phase, second guy maybe got too altruistic, didn't want to let guy 1 get to struggle and maybe went for a safe unhook and you went in for damage control is my best guess on what happened here and pinpoint the snowball. If he wasn't camping, how did he catch you to get a third hook?? Did you attempt to unhook while he was still around or did you get caught on the path of rescue before the actual rescue? It was definitely possible to get the unhooks, I'm not gonna deny that, I've been in competent teams where things got turned around when it looked bad like that. While you were being chased, it was a good opportunity for the other teammate to get the unhooks instead of sitting on a gen. If the killer was camping all 3, he probably made the decision it was a better risk for his life and the lesser chance of a killer's 4k by not giving him that 4k. Sucks but that's how solo queue rolls.
I get so annoyed with solo queue too half the time. The other day, was playing against Ghostface, he marked me, I actually managed to loop him for a gen and a half until he finally got me. Was on hook and what do I see? One self caring in the corner of the map, one hiding near my hook even though the killer was nowhere around and one working on a gen. They let me go into struggle phase for essentially nothing and then die on first hook. These were purple ranks. This was generally the final straw to me playing solo queue. Now I really only play solo when I'm bored and don't want the stress of killer or in SWF.

Hey everyone,
I want to give killer a try, but I'm not sure who to start with. I know that everyone has to find out which one they like to play, but most killers I would like to play are part of a DLC and I'm afraid I'm going to buy a killer who gives me a hard time right from the start. Perk combos are extremely welcome too :)

I have Bubba, Hag, Clown, Pig, Freddy, Spirit, Plague and Legion
Hello there! Welcome to the killer side first off 😈 Secondly, I'd recommend Wraith to start off with. You're faster invisible to creep up on unsuspecting survivors and you get a speed boost coming out of invisibility. Since you're new to killer, you're probably not gonna know how to run loops regardless of the killer you choose to start with and that's okay, you can learn to loop and mindgame. I'd recommend both simply playing the game or there's some YouTube vids on how to run loops as killer.
Bubba, his chainsaw might be a tad difficult to use but if you're one of the lucky ones where it comes at ease, his chainsaw is an instant down. Open areas to the survivors = death. He's worth BP investment alone though for BBQ and Franklin's.
Hag will probably not be a good one to start with. She requires map knowledge to know where to place your traps, she requires a lot of thought out planning of where to put said traps; she's a defensive killer that does not chase so she could work out for you. She was actually my first killer that clicked for me that made me want to stick to killer. If you're a natural with her, you already have loads of potential. She's also worth investment for Ruin and Devour.
Clown is about aiming your bottles. He has 2 bottle sets; you'd have to remember to switch accordingly. He's not a killer in the upper tier but I personally enjoy playing him from time to time. He's simple in which he can either manipulate you to going one direction or slow you down in loops. Worth investment for Pop and Bamboozle which is a favorite to Bubba players.
Piggy is one of my mains! I love love her so much. Remember her traps are not meant to kill so much (but awesome if they do) but to slow the game. She's kinda teetering on the difficult side to master but she's great. You can use her ambush attack to either sneak up on survivors working on gens or during loops but this might not work out for you yet since you aren't familiar with running loops yet as killer. She only has two good perks imo which is Surveillance and Make Your Choice. Definitely worth investment.
Freddy is another one that I don't recommend starting with. Though if you do want to start with him, he's not impossible to learn. He's now slower placing his dream snares and I think his dream pallets are slightly limited now? Respectively ofc you can't have both at the same time. His snares can slow a survivor down or give away their location only visible when a survivor is asleep. The dream pallets also only appear when the survivor is asleep. They can be used to trick the survivor into believing an area is safe. I'm not sure what other advice to give, I'm not a Freddy main but Blood Warden is a good perk from him.
Spirit is one I'm attempting to finally learn right now. I definitely don't recommend her as beginner. She relies on scratch marks and sound to track. Blood will make it easier if they're injured. Once you get better at loops and map awareness of you can learn to land hits with her post phase aka guessing correctly, she is awesome. Her perks are also decent!
Plague can be a tricky one to play for a new beginner but at the time she's pretty simple. Puke on survivors until they've reached broken then they go down. Or puke on everything and everyone and they cleanse, you get corrupt purge and when you puke it serves as normal M1 attacks kinda. She also has good perks to want to put your BP into. Especially Corrupt Intervention.
Legion is my main. They might seem simple but they're actually kinda complex imo. Especially with their frenzy. Their frenzy creates a deep wound effect, forcing people to halt everything they're doing to mend and some people don't heal so if you learn to end chases early, those should be pretty easy downs. Their power isn't complex, it's using it effectively and winning games is since they're not top tier. But they are sure fun to play. They have good perks that can be beneficial to other killers too. Mad Grit though is very beneficial against SWFS.
Closing note: I'd still begin with Wraith. Hope this helps and good luck!

I agree with the comments above me but I'd like to offer a bit of my own advice if I may.
I'd like to preface this by saying I'm a purple rank killer and I face a LOT of swf. Some toxic, some just really organized and efficient.
Locate the weakest link if you can. These will generally be the ones who don't last in chases or make several mistakes that get them caught. The stronger ones will usually come to their aid by attempting to flashlight save or pallet save (when their friend is downed under a pallet so when you go to pick them up, they can pallet stun you and it releases their friend) which leads me to my next point: they're usually very altruistic. Sometimes a lot of the times, altruism kills. Sometimes I even get a little annoyed when my friend brings their friends in to join us to play because they're overly altruistic and a good killer will take advantage of it when they notice it.
Camping, slugging and tunneling is against survivor code which you should ignore if you want to win and rank up. This generally applies to even non swf matches. I tend to have 2 slugs at a time, hook one so one survivor is at least forced to come and retrieve the non hooked slug and or come for the save which can be a trap if I come back in time for my slug to catch the savior and honestly it can all be game over from there if the last survivor screws up big time. God forbid if you camp the hooked bodies, putting yourself in a really good position, is against survivor law. According to survivors, you need to hook and go hide in a corner so they unhook and heal and do their gens in peace uwu but nah, screw that. I'm pretty competitive by nature and if I see the team is doing well and I'm losing, I need to take those measures now.
I almost forgot but a majority of the time in a swf group and I'm sure you've noticed this but there will be at least one to be armed with a flashlight and click it several times to get your attention or purposely go in your view to teabag to get you to chase them. Ignore them. Find the weakest link and work from there.
Generally the only way to learn how to really deal with them is just play against them, hone your mindgaming skills and keep your head as cool as possible even when you get tilted. Believe me, I even struggle sometimes to keep my cool when the one survivor is annoying me by trying to catch my attention. And sometimes I lose matches because the players were really well coordinated and that's just me needing to improve my own gameplay which can only be done by me playing more.
I don't know who all you have available to play killer wise or what perks you have unlocked but ruin will help, Thano from Nurse helps a bit, bbq to see where they are and even though I have no real luck with it (this is partially my fault since I am guilty of neglecting protection of my totems) , I really like devour if you can protect your totems. Haunted Grounds from Spirit will also get you a fast down if you're lucky enough to find someone or someone's shortly after some fool cleanses it. A nurse's calling is also good for when they sneak away to heal. You could also look into endgame perks like blood warden, NOED, etc. Franklin's from Cannibal can help if they're carrying items. A lot of times they'll be greedy enough to come right back for it so you can kinda keep your eye on the dropped item. Make your choice from Piggy punishes their altruism, it'll give you a fast down if you can determine the savior. Blood Echo from Oni screws their exhaustion perks (Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, etc) so that could help if their exhaustion perks are also getting you. Monitor and Abuse from Doc should decrease your terror radius to get in closer for a hit or a down if they're already injured.
I can't think of many more perks off hand and I don't view myself as experienced, so someone can always chime in if something I said can misdirect you but it helps me greatly and has helped me climb ranks. Hope this helps. ❤️
EDIT: I also forgot to mention two things. The first is body blocking. Sometimes swfs will body block for each other and don't get discouraged! This can help you if you take advantage of it. You can smack them out of your way, injuring them. If you manage to still snag the hook, you can then go after one or more of the body blockers. You can go right back for the one heading to the hook if they wiggled out especially if you've decided they're the weak link and their friends will be injured and you wouldn't believed how many of them will STILL body block despite being injured.
The second is the signs of a good looper other than the obvious teabagging in your view or clicky. The good loopers will generally wait at the corner of a jungle gym or any other similar structure. They will be able to run you good if they manage to drag you to killer shack. They know all the tiles and pallets, every window and just in general, the map layout, they are confident in their routing. If you can't catch them in within a minute or less, move on. Don't be afraid to switch targets and try to injure as many of them at once as you can. This'll create a form of pressure if they choose not to heal or waste valuable time healing (with nurse's calling, you can be able to sneak up on healing survivors especially with ghostface which is one reason I LOVE playing him).

The DS we have nowadays is a complete shadow of its 2019 and especially its 2018 self. I see no problem with using it in the slightest, its a fair perk nowadays.
I agree. When I get DS'd now I'm just like, "Fair enough. I deserved that."
Old DS was like, "Oh yes, please forgive me for tunneling." Even though I yanked them off a gen. 😬

A growing endurance bar for the hooked survivor would be good I think. Pair it with an idea I heard about where their hook timer is paused while the killer face camps and maybe a DS rework that is cohesive with the latter suggestions so your DS time increases ONLY from being face camped (it'd be the normal current version if they are not being face camped). I hope that makes sense? This I feel would greatly discourage face campers. If the hooked survivor never dies because you're in their face, their fun is gone AND it really punishes them cuz your team would know this info, know their teammate's timer is not going anywhere and they have all the time to get all gens done.

You know, I used to complain about swfs and the whole, "swfs shouldn't be a thing, f these people." But if they're not a toxic swf, I don't mind anymore. I can tell when I'm going up against randoms and I destroy them. A coordinated swf is hard, sometimes infuriatingly frustrating but I'm competitive by default. I get maybe a new skill or two learned from it even if I lose. If I lose, I'm big enough to simply say, "they were better players." It gives a solid challenge.
Now toxic swfs on the other hand, I'm going to do everything humanely possible to make the game miserable for you (yes I am that petty, I am also petty and dramatic) even if I have to strategically do it and I have no issues playing dirty. I wanna watch your world burn as I sacrifice your soul to the Entity.

Females: Kate (my main gurl), Yui, Elodie.
Males: David, Felix & Jeff either though I don't play any of them, I like their default outfits. :)

These are some super helpful tips and inside tricks that I will definitely be trying out! These are awesome, thanks friends.
