Maybe try changing your build? I always play solo and i'm quite succesful.
I'm personally happy with the current state of the solo Q. We got the tools to deal with everything, people just need to play smarter.
-
it's even better when they use it against 1 shot killers.
-
This is exactly why i pay internet for.
-
..
-
It's a nice perk that encourages the killer to go for the rescuer instead of unhooked one and i think that the buff devs gave to it was really needed.
That being said i think it should also be a "make your choice" for the killer and shorten the timer, so they have to choose between going for the exposed survivor or doing whatever they were doing. Currently they can do more than one thing because 60 seconds is a lot of time.
Kinda the same argument killers had to complain about the old DS.

Interesting build, no exhaustion perk? I feel like I can’t play without Dead Hard anymore, it’s just so good.
Nope, because information beats anything else.
Kindred will tell to 2 of the survivors to stay on gens while the 3rd one comes for you instead of all 3 coming to you.
Better together will tell other survivors to avoid that area when being chased or help you out when looking for a gen.
Bond and Spine chill make a good combo, because sometimes it looks like the killer is heading to your direction but Bond tells you that they are actually chasing someone else.
Disclaimer: you might get paired with bots who ignore any of those clues or signs, you can't do anything about that, but your chances of success and better teamwork will be definitely higher.
-
Well, there's no much to say, you know you gotta be productive in general.
I play only solo too and what helps me the most is my build, which is kindred, bond, spine chill and better together. You are aware of what's going on at almost all times and also provide some useful information to others, allowing better coordination. You don't need other perks if you are ok/decent at chases.

The scariest thing in DbD is not a skin, nor a killer... It's a Claudette selfcaring in a corner.

What?

Your examples sure made it clear who you were siding with though.
Just like this one: ""using bnp/noed is toxic" - It is not"
-
@Unifall said:
I could say the same for some survivors with their favorite words like "no counter play","unfun","boring", "takes no skill".
"Spirit has no counter play" - there is counterplay you just don't want to bother trying.
"This killer is boring/unfun" - I can't adapt so ill complain till the killer gets nerfed.
While killers complain too survivors complain far more.
If you read carefully you'll realize i wasn't siding anyone.
-
No one can deny that Monstrous Shrine is op though.

@Beelzeboop said:
Don't forget "unfun" and "boring," the generic entitled survivor excuse for when they want a nerf for something but have no intention of figuring out what the actual problem is.
So there's only entitled survivors? :D

I do think the word toxic in particular is over used in a lot of places...it's essentially meaningless at this point. I also don't see how using something that's in the game is considered "toxic" - it's perk, it's there to be used, it's a game mechanic, you can use it.
What I do see as "toxic" is rude behaviour in the aftergame chat - slurs, homophobic etc. That's the only thing I would consider as toxic.
"I also don't see how using something that's in the game is considered "toxic""
Yup, that was exactly the point.

You forgot things like 'Camping/Slugging/Tunneling is for BAD Killers' - Trying to shame people into avoiding a legit strat they hate. :)
It would take days to give an example of everything my dude :)
-
DCs are what i am after, either if i'm playing as killer or survivor.
-
Forums were pretty boring lately so they wanted you to spice things up a bit, that's why they got nerfed.
-
"Using those offerings is a direct declaration of WAR against that killer"
Good to know, i didn't realize i was playing a PvE game.

The issue is that perks were meant to be band-aid solutions, nothing more. I wish the devs just fixed the problems at some point.
I really, really hate bodyblocking. I don't know if I've explained this on the forums before, but it's basically the survivor version of slugging: it's beneficial to an amazing extent, is pretty difficult to counter except by running one of a couple niche perks, it sucks the fun out of the game for the other side, and it shouldn't even be possible, much less encouraged.
Also, pretty much no-one whos doesn't already have Trickster is going to spend the Shards required to buy that piece of garbage. His perks are somehow not good enough to justify it, which just goes to show how terrible he is.
Also, thanks for the measured response. I don't get those very often, for obvious reasons.
As a killer i rather have survivors who try to bodyblock me instead of doing gens, seriously. I've seen so many matches ending up in 4K because of this.
It can only be an issue if they do it during the endgame with the gates open, but if that happens then it's probably my fault for not having killed anyone yet and they deserve to be rewarded for good teamwork. I don't mind losing if i see some good plays from the other side.
Anyway, my advice is: always make your builds around your main strengths, weaknesses or whatever you hate the most and use your skills to deal with everything else.
-
As a Trapper main i gotta say i love Haddonfield.

Intentional? I honestly doubt the Devs deliberately put it in.
It probably went like looping, were the survivors found an exploit and the devs were too afraid or not skilled enough to patch it out so they just said that it was something they planned from the start.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2150963#Comment_2150963
You realize that thats like saying "You're going against Doctor? You have Calm Spirit to deal with that, use it," or "You're going against Oni? You have No Mither to deal with that, use it."
You have very little if no reason to use the perk outside of niche or meme builds, except in this one case that appears very rarely and is literally impossible to predict with any level of accuracy.
Just because a counter exists doesn't mean the problem is anywhere near solved. You can run Iron Will to mitigate Stridor Spirit, but does that do anything to solve the big issue, or even really fix the original problem?
I wouldn't recommend No Mither so much since it's not as good as a counter but i would totally recommend to run Calm spirit to anyone who didn't like to face the Doctor. Perks are meant to counter many things, you know?
No one is suposed to counter everything in every single match, both sides have to take their chances. That's how it works.

the lowest score on "did you have fun?" makes the screenshot quite hilarious 🤣

You call Victor a baby and kicking Victor to death is part of gameplay when going against the Twins.
See the problem?
Honestly i didn't think it that way till you said it.
PS: Still not a problem though.
-
"[TLTR; why don’t you hide in a locker to avoid barbecue/pop]"
Because faking the direction you are heading to is better
-
"What bothered me was that there were four different times over the course of a 15ish minute game where one or more of them bodyblocked a hook."
You got perks like Mad Grit or Starstruck to deal with that, use them.

oh so you got 4k as trapper once that means he's not weak and underpowered.
Cool
Just like this post of yours:
Otz gets 50 or 100 wins in a row.
Lord_Tony: "seems about right"
Otz loses 1 match.
Lord_Tony: "OMG this game is so survivor sided dskhgdshg arghhghg"

That's the forums in a nutshell.

they just trying to falsify stats so BHVR thinks wraith is good and will nerf him
yes, all survivors had a reunion and agreed to do this in order to skew the results.

Maybe like his version of torment? He needs to inflict them, but perhaps can inflicted statuses on them such as slowing them down or cry in pain? Would be good to have a new status option too, but I don't know Monkey Island that well to say what he could have. Maybe control movement briefly or prevent certain actions?
Yeah, that would be up to the devs.
-
@Marc_go_solo said:
I had to look him up, but apparently he uses pyrokinesis and I don't recall any killers who have control over fire. Also, a pirate killer would be fun, so could work!
iirc that pyro thing was from Monkey Island 3, in the first one he was a ghost and a zombie in the 2nd one. In the second one, as you can see in the image, he used a voodoo doll to inflict pain. I think that would be a really creative way to injure survivors somehow.
-
Hook swarming is an advantage to the killer already, #########?? xD

These r random questions I wanna ask but would rather put in 1 thread
1) what chapter did you start playing dbd in
2) who was your first survivor main and who is your current survivor main(s)
3) who is your first killer main and who is your current killers main(s)
Doctor chapter.
Feng and Feng.
Huntress then Trapper.
