This is not fun anymore, we see such post everyday and they are leaving for real, bhvr needs to open their eyes and do something about it, the game is not in a good state
It's not I've already left this game once back in mid 2018 because I was sick of it and didn't play it for 2 years. So it's possible I'll come back in 2 years or so if the game is still around.

Do that, play the game you like, don't come here to rant over it though, even moee you are expecting "bs in the dbd forum"... you are not expecting people to kiss you, right dozer?
Have a great day, hopefully you find a game you enjoy more! o/
See I believe that is one of the biggest problems with this game. We paid for this game and alot of people still drop money after the initial purchase. We as a paying customer have the right to call the devs out and point out mistakes they make(constructively of course). But I see alot of people on both side telling people with legit complaints to stop crying and just play and to just go play something else instead of trying to help improve a game that the once enjoyed all the time and would love to see it be that once more.

I don't think people's intention are to bully those who post about leaving, I think the problems stands to the people who feel better to post on the forum about
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Q73B0E5LVCVX/image.png
You do know you post this in a dbd forum so you don't expect people to like it, right? because you mainly post to rant more, well you will achieve similar replies.
He is free to go, but this is not how you do it. You don't just insult a game people's like and close the door behind you, if you cannot be nice at least don't do it. This is like spitting in someone's face and leaving
I'm only doing what cote suggested. I honestly don't care if people like it or not I felt like posting it so I did. If no one said anything that would of been fine to. I expect all the bs this is the dbd forms after all.

I know they are totally different games I never said they were the same I said one game is better then the other.
Actually I'm current playing about 3 different games but mostly ER.

If it's not that though then enjoy playing Elden Ring
Yes it was just reditt and I didn't have a problem with that because bhvr had no control over that but now they have moved to doing the same on the forums.

So just last night, my wireless mouse's battery was running low so I was like "######### it, I'll get the controller out." I played a few killer games with it and was crying on the inside. Console players, you guys all have my massive respect. How do you all deal with this pain on a regular basis?
I've grown up playing on controller so it's basically second nature to me. Most games aren't really a problem sure it's not as accurate as M&K but it can still work just fine DBD doesn't have any slider and build most of there killers with only M&K in mind. They have also said they have no plans to make it so consoles can use M&K(like pretty much ever game other can).
It's funny when people act like console must have a huge player base even know the game is way more optimized for PC and most of the killers don't control well on controller. You can only do like half the "techs" and half the time auto aim decides to hit that random rock to the lleft.

Someone else brought it up in this thread, but her whispering/chanting when you have Corrupt Purge is so obnoxiously loud that you can't hear anything else going on basically. I wish they would address that, but that can go on the backburner until CoH and Dead Hard are nuked
I play killer with headphones and it's pretty annoying to have her yelling in my ears the whole time it's even louder then gens it feels sometime.

So I don't play killer in a while to lower my mmr I play one match okay fair fight on both ends next match second match after a while of not playing and I face super high skill survivors. How is the better matchmaking still doing worse then old matchmaking.
Mmr doesn't decay if your 1500 mmr and don't play for 2 months your mmr will still be at 1500 when you come back.
For what we have learned about individual killer mmr it will be about 200 less max for your highest killer mmr. So technically you could be a god a Huntress and 4k all the time but try to learn nurse and keep 4 man outing there will be a point where your individual killer mmr will not lower.
Actually in theory you could never win a game playing nurse and still move her mmr up because you keep pushing up your highest killers mmr which would move nurses mmr up as well

well once again do you think BHVR should pay for a full brain surgery to 98% of all survivors??? no
do you think they should ban survivors that doesnt do gens? no
The problem is survivors yes, but that is due to MMR no one asked for MMR no one wants it... its a joke how i can get matched with 7000 hour survivors and some matches are with 200 hours survivors ITS A JOKE... played a match against a spirit 1 month ago and 2 of my teammates got hooked within the first 20 sec and i was like fun a hacker... but it was just a normal spirit?? how tf does 2 people die within the first 20 seconds....
The only thing they can do about it is nerfing killers that are camping, fix the MMR so you are matched with equal skill so higher upp camping doesnt work... or c) nothing and keep their 2kills 2 escapes wonderfull juicy ratio
So instead of one side getting better and stop making dumb mistakes it's better to just nerf the other side that has nothing to do with the fact that the other sides mistakes?

A lot of stuff said here rings true: playing killer has become more and more unfun, feeling more like a chore then a fun activity, and for every really cool game I get about 5+ that are utterly miserable.
But one less talked aspect of the game is a bit more obscure: a lot of the killer powers are deliberately clunky and cumbersome. I hate to make this another "us vs them" thing, but it sorta feels like it. I never thought too much about this before, but now that I played much more survivor I see it much more vividly. Things like Pyramid Heads super clunky projectile, Pinheads tough skill-shot for minute gains in a chase and even the strongest killers in the game, ie nurse looking constantly at her feet after blinking and blight being disorienting with his spins, or my biggest gripe at all: Onis charge! The charge, once going, is somewhat fine, but the whole thing controls extremely floaty, and why on earth does he have such a slow, glacial start? Thats not what I would call a dash, Dead Heart IS a dash! You press a button and jump into action, not deliberately shouldering your weapon, taking measure and then taking the first, ponderous step before breaking into a jog.
I know that some peeps think that its all for balance issues, and it surely is, ie its reigning in the killers and stifeling their killing potential. But it also makes using their power, the fun part, often frustrating and ... unfun. I can't think of any survivor mechanic that feels that clunky and cumbersome. Blessing and booning takes time, but thats part of the deal; sabotaging is just a 3s ducking animation; slow and fast vaulting are easy and crisp as pie; entering and exiting a locker is just a press of a button. Even flashlights can be much easier directed that most ranged killer powers, but are probably the closest survivors get to a clunky mechanic.
So it would probably take a lot of balancing, but also increase the fun factor of killers tenfold if they could make all this powers feel less frigging clunky and more easy to use.
See I don't think most survivors realize that the game is really a 1v5 it's the killer vs survivors and the killer is also fighting there power the whole time to get it to work.

Plague gets mercilessly denied by Dead Hard which is pretty much used by every single survivor playing this game. Also bad hit registration of her own puke makes playing her on dedicated servers a matter of luck instead of skill.
The hit registration is terrible I had a survivor in a hallway with no where to dodge like it's not possible for them to do and me to miss and the puke went through them twice.

Let them gen rush the first 3 gens. They always force themselves into a 3 gen like 95% of the time because of it. Then once a snowball begins it's basically over for them.
I personally don't use it because I'd rather play with 4 perks throughout the entire match than be stuck with 3.
That doesn't really work if all 4 survivors are alive. It's almost impossible to control a 3 gen if all of then are alive and throw a CoH in the mix and the killer will lose that 100% of the time unless the survivors throw.

I think they should add part of her iridescent as base kit.
The iridescent switches on 4 TVS that you teleported to, base kit it should be 1. That way you'd be rewarded for using TVs well, and keep pressure where pressure needs to be if you keep turning on one by a progressed gen. If you were too flippant about teleporting and didn't find people, you'd still be punished by the cooldown which would be better.
Idk know about that I find her iri to be really strong maybe if it's 1-2 tvs it might be ok.
-
@anarchy753 said:
I enjoy the mobility and getting the jump on people.
What I don't enjoy is that it's impossible to follow up on that, because either I'm treated to a world tour of pallets that she has nothing against, or because if I leave they're now in a complete safe-zone because of the disgusting cooldown on TVs.
The only matches I've hasd as her that I'd consider "fun" have been running her iridescent to switch TVs back on, and the add on which spreads condemned when they heal each other.
I think her TV cooldowns are her biggest issue. Her most fun and interesting part of her kit but both cooldowns are way to high. 60 seconds for survivors Turing them off is way to long and 100 seconds for you using your power is crazy as well.

I agree, but I believe it's somewhat made up for by her significantly better map-pressure
Her map pressure is limited by the 100 second cooldown on the tvs. Her cooldowns are way to long for her only power on a m1 killer.

@Munqaxus said:
I believe CoH and the boon totem mechanic was not created for survivors but was actually created by the developers in response to killers asking for gen speeds to be slowed down.
Killers have asked for a secondary objective for survivors to slow down gen speeds since the inception of this game. However, for a secondary objective to slow down gens, it has to be valuable enough to survivors for them to split their time between doing gens and doing the secondary objective. If it isn't, then survivors will just not do the secondary objective.
Let's take a look back at chests and keys, pre-nerf and unintended consequences. Pre-nerf keys allowed individual survivors escape trials at a very miniscule percentage, I calculated it one time and if I remember right it was less that 1%. However, survivors saw keys, flashlights, medkits and toolboxes as being valuable enough to split their time between doing chests primary objectives. Gen speeds were slower because survivors weren't focused completely on gens. Later, BHVR nerfed keys and suddenly chests and chest perks became defunct. Survivor no longer view chests as import, so gen speeds increased as survivors stopped doing chests and focused completely on chest. The unintended consequences of the key nerf was increased gen speeds and caused survivors to stop wasting perk slots on chest perks. My guess is that survivor escape rates actually increased after the key-nerf because keys were a very selfish play style that sacrificed the good of the team for the good of the individual. Now, without keys, survivors work better as a group, have become completely focused on gens and escape rates have probably increased.
I'm not asking for keys to be buffed back to where they were. But what I am saying is that chests and chest perks became defunct secondary objectives when survivors no long saw them as valuable.
CoH/boons are the current developers attempt to slow down gen speeds by introducing secondary objectives to survivors. For CoH to be useful for splitting survivors time between gens and blessing boons, survivors have to see it as valuable. Now remember, survivors don't need CoH, they can go back to the adrenaline, resilience, spine chill meta and run green medkits which means much faster gen speeds.
CoH/boons are right now on the cusp of being another defunct secondary objective. I say this because I see them every other game. The other boons are worthless, so really it's on CoH that has any value to survivors.
I guess I wanted to present a different view-point on why boons were introduced. I'm not calling for them to be buffed or nerfed, just explaining what I"m seeing.
See the problem is a second objective is itt should be risk reward. Boons are no risk and all reward.

The reason for that is pretty simple. Current game state means winning as killer is all about how quickly you can get to a 3v1, or even better a 2v1 situation. The most efficient way to achieve that is to focus down the first survivor you can, either the weakest runner, or the one you think may be responsible for the CoH boon, or just the one who's easiest to spot because they're in neon pink.
Personally I focus on whoever dropped the boon. Currently focus downing the survivor who brings it is the best counter to boon perks. So that means If I know you brought the boon, I'll ignore everyone else until you and the boon are out. Nothing personal, just the best way I have to try and win the game.
Is the boon thing why I always get tunneled? I'm a Mikaela main and killers will randomly drop chase with and injured survivor there about to down to chase me for 5 gens.
I also find survivors show me where totems are and point at it all the time. It's funny because I haven't had CoH on in awhile.

I dont understand the logic behind these decisions
Blight is overplayed, and in good hands close to be unbeatable, while his addons also top tier.
You got to remember who's balancing the game since clowns PF is easy to use they could go it themselves. Blight is more complicated and they probably cant get value out of his addon so there like no these addons are fine.

Thats not necessarily true the artist is good and she died off pretty fast. I've noticed that survivors have been hard w keying her and jumping off gens as soon as they hear her lullaby. I still find her fun she does need a few tweaks to her TV cooldowns though.

Yeah it is pretty hefty. Luckily for Sadako, condemned status is so irrelevant that most won't go out of their way to turn off tvs.
It's smarter to just shut off and deal with what little condemned you get I've noticed. It seems like my hardest games are when survivors are turing off my tvs and I have to walk around.

It's 60 seconds if the survivors turn it off. AFAIK, it's still 100s if you use it.
Wow I didn't realize it was so long when survivors turn them off. Both those cooldowns need to be lowered without her tvs she's just a m1 killer.
-
@Chordyceps said:
I enjoy her a bit, but I'm not sure I'd agree that she's really song. I do feel like I can say she's the second strongest stealth killer in the game, with wraith being at the top. Her stealth is very similar to his, with the distinction that she doesn't speed up after manifesting, she doesnt speed up while stealthy, and doesn't make a noise that declares when she's using her stealth. Those speed boosts that wraith gets give him a huge edge over Sadako when it comes to map patrolling and chasing.
On the topic of mobility, she's an interesting one. Sure, she can teleport and wraith can't, but when she teleports to a TV, it becomes inactive for a default of 60 seconds, which is a kinda long time. I'd definitely say her teleport is stronger than Freddy's. She can use it in chase about as well as him, and she can teleport multiple times in a row, and she can still use here teleport when all gens are completed. I'm not sure if it's truly stronger than Demo's though. I'm also not sure it's weaker though. Demo gets to choose where he can teleport to and Sadako can't. Of course the upside to not choosing where you can teleport to is that you don't have to waste time on setup at the start of the match. Demo's portals also take much more time to disable. This means that survivors spend more time not working on gens if they want to disable teleport, and demo can interrupt them by teleporting to a portal being destroyed. Sadako definitely can't do this with TV's.
Hit and run is also a very precarious strategy right now. Survivors have a strong healing meta going on right now, which is a bane for hit and run playstyles.
TLDR; She's fun, but not super strong. Her stealth is one of the better ones, but not the strongest. Her teleport is better than Freddy, and comparable to Demo.
Did they lower her cooldown? It was 100 seconds.
Her lullaby hurts her stealth imo I've noticed survivors start w keying as soon as they hear it. 24m is about 5 seconds from when the survivor cab hear it to when you make it to the gen that's a big head start.

This was the question that finally made me create an account.
But in all seriousness I enjoy playing as the Clown, Trickster, Trapper, Ghostface, Legion, Doctor and Wraith. I have played every killer in the game and these guys are my favorite to play. Don't get me wrong, I know it is possible to 4k as them but it isn't as easy if you were to play as a good Nurse, Blight or Spirit. I have played those 3 killers and I don't enjoy their mechanics. When I hear a glass bottle shattering and or see some bear traps in my survior games I am excited because it's not a Huntress, Nurse or Spirit. Variety I love when it comes to perk builds, add-ons, items, killers and survivors.
If you leave a comment please be nice and let me know if you play a "bad" killer and why you play them.
"Bad" killers can be fun my favorite killer is Myers. The problem is that good survivors will normally just play really efficient by w keying to a strong loop and they have no way to deal with either.
-
Some one forgot to press the button.
-
You know 24 meters is still like 5-6 tell the killer makes it to where the survivor is at.
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Her lullaby is fine. It does not directly tell survivor where you are. So they can run to you panicky.
Wraith has not any lullaby, 100% stealth. But uncloacking takes longer and gives chance to survivor run to vault or pallet. Myers is slow and small lunge at T1 but 100% stealth. Pig can not hit directly while she crounching. Ghostface has long cool-down on his power and no mobility.
Sadako is better than all of them. She is like old Freddy for me. I am using her powers for mindgame survivors, they are confusing and giving me free hits.
They never run into me always away idk how.
It wouldn't be so bad if her TV cooldowns weren't so high.

So as a Killer main, what would make you give up a guaranteed down to pursue a healthy survivor who could end up looping you hard all game? This may sound like a rare occurrence but for me it's a majority of my games. Killer chasing injured survivor, injured survivor is out in the open and not close to any loops, killer sees me, breaks chase, goes after me despite me being healthy, and proceeds to get looped for all 5 gens and then rages in end game chat. I kept having people try to tell me that maybe they just want to practice loops but I doubt every killer does that and the raging in the chat begs to differ anyway. So real talk. What makes people give up easy downs?

if you actually think they don’t listen at all then no matter what they do you won’t ever acknowledge anything they would do because there would be something you can complain about.
they are slow on getting changes and feedback done, that’s for sure. But saying they are ignoring killer complaints is just not true at all and you are leaving to room for discussion or constructive feedback.
Not to mention the fact that doing a generator nowadays has become literally pressing a single button and being able to make a coffee if you want since anyone can hit the skillchecks even blindfolded as it's ridiculously easy.
They literally didn’t change how gens are done at all, I think they even made is slightly longer with multiple survs and toolbox nerfs. Also remember that BNP used to instantly power a gen.
I think they are saying that you at least had to hold a button to do gens and now you don't even have to do that.

Would you rather be looped to oblivion or have to go half way across the map. Ether way this is a game about running from a killer. Not trying to sound disrespectful by any means, but their is always an exuse that people come up with that is "bad for the game"
Like i think that facecamping is probably the closet thing you can compare it to like it takes some skill to get a down but after that is just unskilled and uninteractive. Most of the killer roster cant do anything about it either a lot of the time it takes 20 seconds just to start the chase at a loop then 20 seconds to hit then 30-40 seconds to down that's a full gens worth of time and that's saying the killer was efficient.

-
she defiantly needs a shorter tv cooldown i don't understand how they though the cooldown should be longer then a gen. Her TV spawn logic needs to be tweeked as well so it stops them from facing walls or off in a room so it takes 5 seconds to get to the gen after you teleport.

honestly she is pretty strong if she can get her game plan to work. The problem is there is a lot that the survivor's can to to just stop her from getting pressure. One of the biggest problems is CoH if its up you have to get rid of it and its not always easy but the one that im starting to see the most is just w key away and there isn't anything she can do.

You’re the 5th person that I have asked this question when they use that phrase. Please be the first to answer a question about the survivors ONLY objective in game. Killers complain Ruin gets cleansed to quickly. Then when players play immersive and stealth, they get mad and say it’s boring. So what would you like them to do??
open chest, cleanse totems, unhook, heal,be in chase,go for flashlight saves.

I mean what is nurses counterplay apart from stealth (which nobody seems to do anymore), breaking LOS, doubling back or "mindgaming"?
I'm not asking out of bad faith I want to know what you personally think it is because not everyone can agree.
You can't really use windows, because you get animation locked. You can't really use pallets because she can go right through them and stunning a nurse out of blink isn't as rewarding anymore since she can blink straight afterwards. Supposedly it was a bug where she had the stun and the fatigue but I can't deny it felt more rewarding to pull off. Also DH, Should ppl really feel like DH is the only perk that helps against this killer?
Again, I wanna also mention something I see Nurse and Blight players do a lot which I find a bit hypocritical which is burning map offerings that favour them. Survivors do it too, of course but it's still unfair.
your not suppose to have an unlimited ways to counter a killer that's why over half the killer roster isn't played.

It was pretty bad before the artist but after she released everyone had to hold w to counter her. It works with almost ever killer so why not.

Yup.
That's not even the worst of it.
It's entirely possible for TVs to spawn on a different floor to the gen they correspond to, rendering that TV basically useless. You can see this on RPD and Lery's in particular.
The game was really bad almost all my tvs were in a different room then the gen. Plus 10 million pallets.
