Its not a secret this map is only good for Ghostface, Myers and Pig.
I played a match with Deathslinger and the survivors can so easily break line of sight.
Throughout the whole match i just wanted to DC really.
I dont know if anything is gonna be done about this map to be split into several parts and if Capcom would allow that.
I still think that Raccoon city is as iconic as the RPD and could of been a better choice of map but its probably gonna be Haddonfield 2.0 and really not that much better than the RPD.
Or they could of done only the main hall with the RC streets.
Umm i have dominated there on every Killer I play (Pig, Ghostface, nemesis, myers, trapper and especially doc)

I love the RPD map, but I love indoor maps period. Not a fan of outdoor at all.

Oh, I wasn't trying to defend the survivor gameplay, I was just trying to point out why they're playing extra sweaty.
Event of no event, killers shouldn't have to throw their game just to allow people to escape.
This is the most reasonable response I've ever seen.

Huh I hadn't thought about Huntress lullaby that's a pretty fun perk this kind of build reminds me of the types used for Old Freddy. I dig it!

This sounds like a super aggressive snow ball build that could be really fun once it starts

Plus enduring and spirit fury help give Nemesis a proper spooky moment for the survivor. He just destroys the pallet with the sheer face of his head
I prefer Lullaby over Ruin because it actually makes noise when survivors blow a gen, which attracts zombies. I have also doubled up, swapping Undying for Ruin and that works well, but then Oppression is useless unless you lose Ruin early (and sometimes you will).
Speaking of Oppression I cannot stress enough how crazy good it is. Oppression has been the difference between '3 gens pop at once' and 'i and/or the zombies got there in time to stop all of them from popping'.
Anything that forces Survivors to make noise notifications is good on nemesis.

I think he needs a few tweaks to his add ons IMO, lemme tell you why,
with the size of maps like Haddonfield or Dead Dawg Saloon, The Swamp. It is much more threatening to have 3-4 total zombies roaming the map and make a part dangerous than having 2. Yeah, you get those 1/4 chances they are both at the right place at the right time but it lacks pressure, they are slow...super slow..and they get stuck in walls at a corner of a map... if you use addons it helps and they are faster, especially if you use a pink but idk you gotta be a bot imo to get hit by one unless you didn't see it.
Without add ons im almost positive you could use fixated to go around one. If not 4 total zombies then 3 default and then an addon to do something to the zombies an add a 4th spawn. It just makes more sense and their default detection range should be increased, sometimes i've watched some just stand there as someone ran right next to them. Maybe even be slighly faster by default too
Nah, he's fine. 3 zombies would be crazy overpowered and 4 would be broken.

Nemesis: You see a healthy survivor in front of you with an easy M1 but you have zero Mutation meter. It is at the start of the game and no generators have yet been finished. Do you M1 or tentacle strike to farm mutation?
Punch. if you can't all but guarantee the tentacle hit, punch them. Mutation is overrated; it'll happen if you just tentacle when you can and destroy zombies that are in bad spots. No need to work for it.

I've only been playing Nemesis for a short while and am unaware what the meta is for him so I've experimented on my own, but for the moment I've settled on
Perks: BBQ and chili, Corrupt Intervention, Infectious Fright, and Save the best for last
Addons: Marvin's blood (increases mutation rate from hit survivors), and Plant 43 vines (Makes it take longer to open supply chests)
What do you all use?
Oppression + Huntress' Lullaby + Dying Light + Undying
Combined with zombies and zombie speed and detection addons, it's the ultimate in gen slowdown. I rarely lose with this build.

I think right now it's due to the event; a lot of survivors have had difficulty escaping with the crowns, so they're trying to genrush and leave immediately since there've been a bunch of killers specifically targeting anyone with the glow.
I think it would've been wise for the Dev team to add a secondary condition for survivor crowns, either escape with it or spend x amount of time with it in match to unlock it across multiple attempts.
Or maybe the Killers are just playing the game and the glow makes them easier to find.

Camping and tunneling are both extremely toxic. If survivors are swarming the hook camping can be excused but tunneling? ######### no. Its a pathetic strategy by ######### killers. I play both sides, both at red ranks. I never tunnel or camp and consistently get at least 2-3 kills.
Survivors being toxic is annoying but not game ruining like killers doing the same thing.
Regardless play how you want, just dont expect the toxicity in this game to go away
I want 4 kills. So i'll keep tunneling and camping.
-
Ahh crap. Finally took a death by DC'ing teammate.
Survivors, seriously you guys gotta quit that crap. You are making it an auto-lose for your team when you fail to waste as much of the Killer's time as possible and DC'ing throws away all points you earned just because you're mad. You never know if you might come back and escape anyway or at least get more BP.

An average SWF isn't hard to deal with, but not for the reasons you think. An average SWF will throw themselves at hooks and get their friends out at all costs while memeing around; that's what gets them killed. Notably, they are also always pissed that they lost while not actually playing for keeps.

You missed the point of what I was saying. It's not about entitlement. It's about seeing a shift in face camping in some games I've seen since the start of this celebration, and I believe it's a change because of those few individuals. It's nothing to do with entitlement. It's about attitude in those rare circumstances.
Everything you wrote thus far tells me it is about entitlement. You want to win and have fun your way; Killers are not letting that happen. therefore you want to 'discuss' it in hopes of changing something. It won't work and if it did you'd be even more miserable because any change to prevent the behavior you are writing about would make Killer unplayable and zero fun.

Yep. Anything less than the best is a loss. Everyone should play that way - the fun comes when playing well is something you've practiced so much it's effortless. But then again, I guess most don't think that way. A generation of people accustomed to getting stuff just for showing up tends to devalue achievement and effort, after all.

And also yes, swf is problem because game balancing around low ranks and for this swf is stronger than most killers.
Every time a Killer gets nerfed to uselessness it just gets worse for Survivors. All that does it make Killer players abandon that Killer and go to the next-strongest one, or find strong but un-fun strategies for other Killers. Stop screaming for nerfs; you are ruining your own game experience by refusing to adapt rather than have stuff you can't play against made worse.

The game does not force anyone to be an efficient sweatlord, its the people who choose to be like that. There is a reason high level play (comp) is absolutely laughable in this game because it was never designed for that.

Yeah, and I fully accept that. It's just the frequency by which this has happened and the timing seems to be very pointed, and I'm certainly not saying this is true of a majority of killer players, but it feels like certain DBD players have taken to controlling killer to make the scenario as awkward as possible for others to benefit from either the cakes or the crowns.
You are not entitled to free points because there's an event going. You get what you earn.

I agree - they're useless now. So what are killers doing during this even that is much easier on them to get the crowns and gives them way more cakes in their webs? Bring useless moris that cost 7,000 BP instead of cakes that would benefit everyone. It's intentional and a crappy thing to do. But who cares. Everything about the event is easier for them, and the survivors triple or quadruple their BP.
Have you considered that maybe they're just playing the game normally and would have mori'd you even without an event going? No? Of course you didn't, because you having a bad outcome must be personal since the universe revolves around you

That's because events are not in any way special aside from more BP and free cosmetics. People act like the game should change because they want to farm for a week and that is simply not the case. Not everyone gives a damn about the event; some of us just want our kills :)

I usually only play survivor, but other survivors actually baffle me.
I recently had a game where I was death hook and I was expected to go save the other person. Like yes, I'ma go save someone else when I'm gonna die and probably slugged for the 4k. I ended up just hiding and just waiting for the killer to close hatch because i had no idea where it was nor did i have a clue if it spawned yet, but it didn't happen oh well. I just did what I could that game, whether do gens, unhook people if I was able to, pick up others and heal them, etc with the hopes I could get the crown for my main which I didn't, but I still have time to get it for her.
But what baffled me is the fact I got told I'm a waste of life, sh*tty player, trash, etc by my own teammates because I didn't save and just hid (all while i'm essentially just as much dead as they are).
Maybe I was wrong for this, what am I supposed to do? Go try and save only to be smacked and hooked on the way there? And if by a miracle, I did manage to get her and fully heal my teammate, we had 2 gens to do. It wasn't realistic to think we could both make it out with two gens left.
Usually when I'm in this situation and I'm the one who is hooked and the other person is also injured or essentially just two of us, I just die because what's the point. the killer's goal is to kill all of us and if one person can get out whether through the doors or through hatch, that makes me happy. I mean its unfortunate they died and I wasn't able to get out with the crown either and we basically lost, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. They might of felt better if I just died trying to save the teammate on the hook, but nah.
You did the smart thing. You are not the problem; they were. And those are probably the same people who only have 'fun' when they're being chased so they constantly get in the Killer's face and make stupid plays for the lulz but then if the Killer doesn't want to meme around and actually tries to win they get mad.
Don't be like them. Play to win and expect no one else to play your way.

Killers like Deathslinger, Spirit, Trickster, Twins, Nemesis, etc. who are extremely powerful and at times oppressive in the 1v1 but lacking in the 1v4 are often negatively received by both sides, Survivors because they find the Killer to be extremely boring and unfair and Killers because they're lacking in the 1v4 which ends up in them losing multiple gens despite fast chase times.
However, Killers like Blight, Hillbilly, and Oni who are very strong in the 1v1 and 1v4 but not overly oppressive in either are often regarded as the pinnacle of balance and are almost always positively received by both survivors and killers. Survivors like them because in the chase they're fair and balanced and give plenty of opportunities to outplay them and Killers like them due to how powerful they can be when played correctly, not to mention they're able to contest gens well with their mobility.
Point is that the chase is the most fun part of the game and BHVR creating Killers like Deathslinger is only going to hurt the game. If you cause one role, whether its survivor or killer, to be too strong in the chase then the game becomes very unfun for the side getting abused. Think about it, if you removed the chase aspect from DBD what do you get? You just get mindlessly holding M1 and W. Does that sound like a fun game to you? Just holding down two buttons occasionally? And no, I'm not trying to say 1v1 Killers are overpowered, but just because they're technically "balanced" doesn't mean they're healthy for the game. Just because something is balanced doesn't make it healthy.
This brings me to my final point but I believe that BHVR should just stop creating Killers that are too strong in the 1v1 but lacking in the 1v4 because they're unhealthy for the game.
TL;DR: 1V1 Killers like Deathslinger and Spirit are unhealthy for the game while 1V4 Killers like Blight, Oni, and Hillbilly are healthy for the game. Thus, BHVR should stop making Killers like Deathslinger and make more Blights.
If all we had was chasing Killers, i'd quit immediately. Chasing is ######### boring.

When you play on the normal (1920*1080) resolution, the game looks like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGrwRSeWPOQ&t
As a hint, this is a rectangle, not a square. However when you play on a form of stretched red and it goes back into 1920*1080 displays, it ends up looking like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dtq_1HPqknQ
Which is a lot closer to a square, but not quite.
Yours is... significantly higher than the 2nd clip. That's where I got it from (especially considering that even on ultrawide screens you can definitely have the game play in 1920*1080)
Um...i play on a 40-inch flatscreen with brightness turned up and mine is square.

i mean if you haven't seen nemesis against decent survivors then idk what to tell you. nemesis likely takes longer to down a good survivor on average than trickster assuming the person playing killer is skilled with both. not that this means anything...they'll still lose if people are playing efficiently and cranking gens like they should be.
i'm wondering if trickster would actually do better, if only marginally, against a tournament team compared to nemesis.
I mean, I main nemesis since his release on PTB. Still red ranks, still averaging 3-4 kills, often with no more than a single gen done.
It's okay if most people suck with him; I suck with Nurse. Can't play her well. But that doesn't mean Nurse is bad; it means i am bad with her.

Trapper is one of my offten picked Killers so I know what I am talking about.
Face any decent Survivors or SWF groups and you are M1 killer with 0 power. You need to waste time to set up your power that might not even work. Survivors can dead hard traps, call them out, sometimes even run next to them without being hit by the trap (slidding on a side if there is enough little space). He NEEDS addons every game (Bag is a must) otherwise he is even weaker. He is very RNG depending. Even if you catch someone in a trap they can escape first time ezi with a luck or help.
I don't know what trapper are you playing but Trickster is at least not RNG heavy and can quick shutdown some loops.
This is a you problem. I played five Trapper games last night at Rank 1 against almost all reds and dominated HARD in every game, and four of those five were on Coldwind maps, mostly Rotten Fields (2 Rotten Fields, 1 Thompson House, 1 cowshed). Had 1 escape.

Much worse, yes. But not unplayable and he can still win. Fact is, some maps suck for certain killers and other maps are great for them. What DbD needs is a wider variety of maps that is also balanced layout-wise. In fact, this game just needs more maps period. I'm sick of doing nothing but Coldwind at red ranks.
