I get the feeling that most people hate Iri heads! If Huntress brings in iri heads with infantry belt. I can only assume they are looking for a quick easy game. Why not give them that!
As people are fond of telling me when I play my hardest
"Because that's boring and unsportsmanlike"
But you do you man. I know I'm not going to change your mind - you're here for validation. Sorry I can't give that to you.
-
"The way you play is boring"
Such a dumb thing to say. I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing if I was bored.
Oh, you mean it's boring for you? Well, stop failing to beat me then.
-
Because add-ons are there to be used, period.
And frankly, people who quit because of an addon are the worst kinds of bad-sports which is why DC's are punished when you do it enough.
-
I'd like to see a skin for Deathslinger that looks like Orden Ogan's Mascot; Alister Vale
-
The game isn't over until the post game lobby starts loading.
The ECG is a mini-game in and of itself and is ripe for sudden reversals of fortune. And at that point, I have no generators to defend.
Ergo, if I manage to catch somebody when the gates are powered, you bet your ass I'm going to park myself near the hook and see how many more points I can get.
Frankly, trying to outwit a hook rush is more exciting to me at the end then collecting my "pity points" at the exit gates.
It's not like survivors are walking back into the arena and giving me free hooks anyway - and I don't expect them to.
So why should they expect me to play like a brain-dead idiot and not defend the only objective I have left? Makes no ######### sense.
-
Ahahaha
And the OP just lost all credibility.
Dude - until you man up and are willing to deal with SWF, you have no right to talk about playing hardcore yourself.
Get over yourself.
-
90 percent of the time, I'm giving it my all and expecting the opponent to do the same. Only a fool goes in expecting your adversary to pull punches, so don't pull any in return.
I'll sometimes get really drunk though and bring out the Railgun Doc.
Shocking people at 35 meters will never cease being funny to me - even though it's useless as hell.

A few direct quotes of yours from other threads:
"SWF is clearly a problem, why do devs continue nerfing killers and not addressing SWF?"
"This game wasn't balanced around SWF in the first place so it's not surprising to find out SWF destroys killers even if the killer is at the top of their game"
It's always a player with this thread's mindset that complains about the other side doing the same thing lol
if you got links, put them in so we can roast this guy properly then.
Because frankly, I'm all for people playing hard and giving it their all - but they better be prepared to take it in return.

Can't you just adjust the Main Event to accommodate for any potential buffs to his movement? Kinda like how they adjusted Combat Straps to accomodate Pig's crouch/uncrouch speed increase?
Possibly. But it's my feeling the power of Main Event is what's sticking his speed and 8 hits where it's at.
Frankly, he feels like he should be 115 like Plague, as his power requires multiple hits to be effective like hers. And arguably, she has the better power anyway. There's no way Main Event is anywhere near as good as Corrupt Purge
-
I have a great idea.....
Focus on your own game and stop caring about other people's opinions.
Ultimately, if you stop caring about what other people think and just focus on yourself, you'll have a ton less stress dealing with this game.
If you want to tunnel, camp, endlessly blind the killer, loop - have at it. It's on your opponent to stop you.
These unwritten rules that the mediocre players try to put on you so they can have a chill game are not-binding and shouldn't be expected of strangers. If you want to play with "house rules", stick with KYF.
Never expect a random to have the same viewpoint that you do.
-
I have a much simpler solution.
REMOTE PERK LEVELS FROM GAME. ALL PERKS ARE EARNED AT THEIR CURRENT LEVEL 3 POWER
Bam... 2/3's of the grind has just been taken care of.
You're welcome.

I'm more than happy to play fairly before the gens are done. All bets are off once the gates are powered.
I'm more or less the same way. While there are gens to defend, I'll do my utmost to pressure them and spread the pain.
But once they're all done, my objective is to drag as many of you to hooks as possible. And if that means I gotta toast some marshmallows at a hook to do it, so be it.
-
Trickster is kind of stuck at his 110 speed because of the way his power works. And I'm not talking about the 8 hits, I'm talking about when he can go ham and just spam knives.
It's that flurry itself that's keeping the devs from giving him less than 8 hits or giving him 115% speed IMO.
My hopes aren't high with this killer. He's going to end up being just another mid/low tier killer that's hardly played unless his kit is redone.
-
You are looking at their trash talk and bullying all the wrong way.
You have to realize - they're frustrated and incapable of looking within themselves as being at fault. As a result, they'll never get better at the game - forever stuck in mediocrity.
No - don't be mad at them. Just pity them and their shortsightedness as they deflect blame off themselves.

Can't ignore all the BS Survivors had to deal with as well.
- Killers blocking entrance/exit to the basement, because the stairs were thinner back then. Could hold the game hostage indefinitely because there was no End Game Collapse.
- Nurse originally having three blinks by default, could increase it to seven with add-ons, and she moved at the full 115% movement speed.
- Memento Mori's could take a Survivor out of the game after a single down.
- The Machine Gun build (Unrelenting + Save the Best for Last) was utterly broken beyond belief.
- Actual, genuine facecamping was a thing. It was quite literally impossible to save someone being facecamped, because the unhook prompt wouldn't show up.
- The Trapper could put traps directly underneath a hooked player, and could stack traps onto other traps at that. It was impossible to save someone with a trap underneath unless you had several Survivors working together to disarm them while someone else unhooks.
- NOED was permanent once activated, with no way to disable it nor was it on a timer.
I don't want to come off as a case of 'whataboutism', but you did neglect to mention a single thing that Killers had going for them (and they had quite a lot indeed).
While these things are true - there's a reason the survivors had to wait as long as 20 minutes to get a match back then
Just sayin.... while the survivors had their own issues to deal with, the killer's did indeed have it much much worse.

Your pathetic, the fact that you take this so seriously proves it..
It's a game..
Be thru to yourself..
BTW.. aren't you to old (not mature) for all of this..
Yes... it's absolutely a game.
But you just admitted that you let your emotions get to you by playing in such a matter.
And frankly, somebody who stoops to petty retribution has about as much right to talk about maturity as Kim Jon Un has to talk about human rights. You have about as much self-awareness as a dog licking his own #########.
Maybe one day the words will sink in and you'll realize what a fool you were...

Ohh sorry Mr millenial..
Yea, you can call it retribution..
And I do win to those I kill by facecamp..
I do enjoy it.. you call it small and bitter? Yea you all sheep's do that..
That's how you weaklings feel stronger now a days, by trying to bully the bully first.. you HYPOCRITE..
Want a better game? I do get to rank 1.. whenever I want to do points ..
I do enjoy the game, put my big boy pants and not cry about what I don't like..
LMAO.... I turn 50 this year. I'm generation X. I got gray in my beard and scotch on my breath. But thanks for the compliment - most millinial friends I have are good people who just want to make the world better - can't fault them for that.
If you think I'm crying, you're sorely mistaken. I'm only questioning your motives because I used to be just like you. And honestly, I'm rolling my eyes because I see so much of my old mannerisms in the way you bluster about your retribution.
Again - I'm all about letting people play the way they want to to meet their objectives. You want to camp because the generators are done or everybody is rushing the hook - I support that. But doing it to "get back at people?"
Be honest with yourself - you're playing in a way you perceive makes you a tool because you're butthurt about how people are beating you. And frankly man, that's pretty ######### pathetic.
I'm sorry buddy, but the insecure child here is looking right back at you in the mirror.

Spinechill - don't use direct routes, keep your vision cone off the generator.

We have all experienced nonsense behavior before. Either from toxic killers, toxic survivors, useless and annoying teammates, and sometimes from the game itself. And it's probably best to ignore it but that's easier said then done isn't it? So how do you ignore the nonsense and annoying feelings this game can throw at you? And has it made your gaming experience better?
Don't play the game like it's the only game you own.
Play a few games every couple days, go do something else. Recognize when you met your limit for bs and walk away when you reach that limit rather than continuing to play on Tilt

Yes. In fact, you can point to pretty much every popular perk and find somebody who wants it nerfed.
Doesn't mean the reasons are any good though.

I don't think you understand the meaning of hypocrisy..
Get a dictionary..
hy·poc·ri·sy
/həˈpäkrəsē/
noun: hypocrisy; plural noun: hypocrisies
the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense."
Example - hypocrisy of a man who has trashed fellow politicians for vacationing during crises - vacationing in Cancun during a crisis himself.
If you are being Pendantic for the sake of deflecting my argument and not answering for your actions, I guess you're right. But does it really change anything?
Does it really detract from my point? Retribution then? Will you accept that?
And retribution fixes what exactly? Certainly doesn't make you a better player. If anything, you justify others to keep playing in a manner that annoys you in retribution of your own bad deeds. As the saying goes, "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind".
Admitting you camp to piss people off doesn't make you a badass - just makes you look like a small, bitter, person.
You want a better game? Be a better player and just beat them.
-
I'm glad I'm not the only one that looks back on the time around The Last Breath and Halloween as "The Dark Times".
Hell, that entire Winter was miserable.
There was even a several weeks where an exploit allowed you to have multiple copies of a perk - so killer's doubled up on their "machine gun build" and would run two copies of STBFL and Unrelenting so they could just down survivors with 2 swift sings.
Devs were on Winter break and refused to put anybody on it while the bug flourished it was terrible
Let's not forget that hooks were permanently gone once saboed. Which made slugging meta as it was really the only way to get a kill. And until Nurse dropped, Billy was the only viable killer at red ranks.
Survivor cues were upwards to 15 to 20 minutes because nobody wanted to play a killer before the machine gun build came out.

Not sure about all killers..
But in my case I facecamp to be toxic intentionally ... some survivors have toxic play that I don't enjoy.. so, they annoy me, I annoy them back..
For some reason most of those survivors feel that they can be toxic to the killer but can't take to have the killer being toxic at them..
Part of the game.. want to feel the rush of getting the killers attention, then add the tension of being facecamped if you get caught..
You can't blame a player for using the tools in front of him.
Listen, you want to camp - have at it. There's times where's it's the right call strategically (everybody is there, nobody on gens, doors are open, ect).
But camping to be spiteful.... don't you think that makes you a bit of a hypocrite? Have a little self-awareness man.
Give them the benefit of the doubt - assume they're doing a ritual or rift and focus on getting better at beating that play man

Most of the time, both tunnels and camps, both plays the same typical perks - noed lol - both sweats
with the bugged matchmaking i can even tell sometimes if the killer is rank 1 or 12 . I'm generally surprised in the end game by their ranks.
Ranks should be more selective tbh
How well do they play the mind games at the loops. How quickly do they know that a pallet is safe and must be immediately broken and which can be left for awhile. How quickly do they break off a difficult chase to pressure a gen.
If you can't accept that some player go in hard and don't pull punches, a game like this that has one player Q might not be your cup of tea unless you can suck it up and deal with it every so often.

Nah man, I completed all Dark Souls and Bloodborne and I can't stand DbD toxic survivors. Even LoL players are more chill than DbDs.
For post game trash talk? Damn straight - dbd players are the worst. There's a reason I named the most corrisive and toxic planet full of salt deposits in No Man's Sky after this community.
But people simply using mechanics and strategies to get ahead in the game in and of itself is not toxic. It's simply playing the game.
I know it's trite; but don't hate the player, hate the game.
-
Most SWF's you don't even realize you're playing against because they suck
Be honest with yourself, you just don't want be challenged by a team that knows what they're doing - and those can be people who aren't SWF.

Why do some survivors (usually swf) like to proclaim victory if they get the pity hatch? If hatch spawns and there are still gens that's a loss whether you get hatch or not you still got outplayed and the game gave a pity mechanic.
I get so many people who get the hatch and proceed to boast of winning or mocking me, you only escape because I'm too lazy to play tag for 4k.
Better question, why do you care?
No seriously - why do you care what somebody else thinks is a win? Only person whose fun matters here is yours and your personal win conditions.

That's because alot of killers suck at the game. Of course so do alot of survivors. In an ideal universe everyone would just play a chill game and not worry about winning and just try to have fun.
In my ideal universe everybody would accept that everybody has a different play style and rolls with it.
Niether will get what we want.
But frankly, I think my viewpoint is the more pragmatic on.

This game from day 1 was always built around the idea of sudden reversals of fortune.
Mori's, Keys, insta heals, insta downs, ect... all work around this core idea.
Always expect that the game is somehow going to screw you in some way and play accordingly.

In my example, just imagine me as Oni chasing someone in a short wall jungle gym clockwise at first, but as they vault the window I force them to go counter-clockwise and we continue the looping process. I know doing this opens up the opportunity for mind games, but against someone who knows how to loop this tile correctly and also knows how to peek, you are screwed no matter what as killer.
As I said, this is an example of a match where everyone knows how to loop and there is no weak link. It is uncommon, yes but it still does happen.
Maze tiles (or jungle gyms as most people call them), come in several configurations. The configuration matters. We dealing with a pair of L walls here? A T and L? Where the windows? Pallets?
The double L, for example is usually a pair of L walls on opposite corners of the Maze tile. IN those situations, you want to try to force the slow vault by not allowing the survivor to cut across the tile diagonally from window to window.
-
Sprint Burst is not that good for being used for the situation you are describing. It means the survivor needs to waste time walking around the map so they can have it the moment they need it. This plays into the killers hands as more time walking form location to location is less time getting the objective done. Sure it's nice when those situations come up, but as the OG of exhaustion perks, it hasn't aged well with the game.
Dead Hard is nice, but it requires the survivor to actually trigger it in a semi-intelligent way and it can be baited out. It has plenty of counter play and can be left alone
Off all the exhaustion perks, I'm of the opinion that Lithe is probably not only the easiest to use right, but highly underrated.
-
I used to keep Urban Evasion on me at all times because I absolutely DESPISE going up against a Hag.
-
Trapper armed with Franklins
Trap the keys, but Use the Honing Stone and Bloody Coil Addins.
If the traps get them, you get deep wounds, if they free themselves, they're downed. If they disarm the trap to get at their item, they take a hit from Bloody Coil
-
This is why I said we needed specific examples - because indeed there are certain loops that are just strong. All you can do is force a direction that is better for you and play it out.
Some may appear to be strong, but there may be a counterplay you hadn't considered. Like I said - it's hard to say without seeing the specific circumstances you were in.

You're shifting the argument to be about something you have in your mind, but because I can't read minds, I can't respond to your argument. My point is to avoid the strength in stacking second chance perks.
I'm looking at the title of the discussion and what you said and have drawn the conclusion that is your main point. I'm not shifting jack.
Regardless, all 2nd chance perks have viable counterplay anyway, so I don't see the point in changing any of them right now.
-
BTW, Deep Wound being buffed in such a manner would probably make Legion even more hated and possibly OP. Can possibly make the Deathslinger a bit too good too.
-
@FellowKillerMain said:

Deep Would has no impact on chases, and more often than not it's applied after receiving a second-chance effect, already. So, when paired with exhaustion perks, it makes something like Endurance+Speed Boost+Other exhaustion perk, essentially three perk effects. All I'm asking is that, consider the boost from endurance like a sort of exhaustion perk. There's got to be a consequence to stacking second chance perks.
If you applied deep wound but have no inclination to chase them, that's on you.
Deep Wound is just another way to keep survivors off generators by FORCING the heal. In a sense, it buys you time and is doing what is intended.

Seems like a lot of people don’t know this because I the forums constantly crying and begging for survivors to be nerfed 1000 times and swfs nerfed or removed but every time someone says to nerf or stop face campers, hard tunnelers or sluggers it’s just constant hate and people trying to say those strategies are perfectly fine and non toxic.
There are no such things as toxic strategies for either side. They are challenges to overcome, nothing more.
There are simply people who can't adapt to countering said strategies and refuse to accept that they might be in the wrong game.
If a killer is getting beat by the gen rush, they have to get better. If survivors can't beat a camper - they need to get better.
It's that simple... FULL STOP
-
Completely unnecessary change. Exaustion timers already get paused/reduced severely when in chase. You want somebody to stop getting their exhaustion perks to come back up, get better at staying on them like white on rice.
-
It's hard to say without seeing a specific video example. There are so many things left out.
General rule of thumb is if you find somebody too difficult to catch, find somebody else who's weaker so you can start getting some pressure in the game.
-
There are those who think they are gamers, then there are old gamers like myself who just looks at it as another list of challenges I've faced in a long list of challenges I've stepped up to in my decades of gaming.
But... I also enjoy games like Dark Souls, so I might just be a masochist.
-
I main killer because I hate having to depend on randoms to get anything done. They always disappoint me. I usually end up with a huge pile of seething contempt for my fellow survivors and ruthlessly destroying them as a killer is the only way I know how to deal with it.
I main doc because Madness kind of runs in the family on my mother's side. Between that and the Doc's maniacal giggles, I feel right at home in his skin.
Deathslinger is also starting to become a favorite of mine - I love his Duster and his small chuckle when he lands a hit usually echoes mine.
-
(Scribbles on note pad)
Okay sir, I wrote you a perscription for "Git Gud" with unlimited refills. Please take 2 every morning and make an appointment to see me in 3 months.
-
You have a problem with immersed survivors? What is that? I'm not even sure I know how that feels.
(sends out a shock wave, laughs maniacally)
-
I'm generally not in favor of a match timer due to how often I see survivor teams getting screwed by gen jockeys that aren't very good at keeping themselves from being 3 genned.
Putting down a match timer would only make 3 gens already more in the killer's favor than they already are.
-
@fr0sty1223 said:
Swf, camping, slugging, and tunneling all need to be addressed but unfortunately it seems like most killers mains want survivors to get ######### over while their toxic strategies and perks remain untouched
Game mechanics are not toxic. They are tools to be used. Just because you don't like them or find them unfun doesn't make them any less valid.
-
It boggles my mind that with all the complaints about tunneling and so forth you'd want to nerf one of the few perks that encourages people to spread out the pain. Especially one who's aura-reading can be effectively counterplayed with minimal foresight and awareness.
-
I'm apathetic about it
Either they'll find a way to mess it up or it still won't satsify anybody and we'll see tons of complaints about it.
The Matchmaker... the Matchmaker never changes.
