I think "camping" is just too broad a term. Facecampers sniffing your frontside starting with the first down are rather rare. - Once there is only one gen left it becomes much more frequent (but I also think last gen is already kinda late/end game and rules change then) and is more or less the norm once all gens are completed (again: rules change then). The former kind of facecamping is something I can't stand - the latter is something I see as a challenge and one I quite enjoy; survs have to decide if they can pull off a late game rescue or if they just take the x-man-out and leave the hooked one.

What I have seen become more frequent as an overall match-strategy is proxying and refusing to chase further than ~30m away from the hook, forcing hook trades/securing hook stages (that kinda goes hand in hand; either there is a hook trade or the second hook stage is secured) by staying in close proximity (except hightly mobile killers, they just return to hook every ten seconds and disrupt everyone else inbetween those pitstops by the hook). I would even kinda sorta understand the back-to-hook-playstyle if that was the primary way for a killer to find a new target --- but the fun thing is a lot of them do have mid-match-location-perks like BBQ, Darkness Revealed or Floods. Lethal is a fav as well (that whole trade business only works if you find and down your first target somewhat quickly, after all), same as all ears (tho that's more of a chase perk, I guess). Plus most of the time the killer goes for the unhooked one and not the unhooking one.

yea i kinda specified with an example killers hooking you in basement and just running around the killershack you know outside the door looking right and left then going pallet side looking out and left not chasing anyone basically only taking 2 step outside to see if there is anyone close is what i meant by camping... Playing around the hook is not camping.

Being dependent on teammates playing correctly is often annoying, yes. The MMR is supposed to fix that.

Clown get the same slight buffs as the other M1 killers. I had good results with him but of course many players are still getting used to the changes.

yea i just tested something on clown with STBFL + flask of bleach with something like Ether vol (makes them slower and the duration on the survivor longer) on clown is broken its basically a budget "instdown" because after a hit it takes you around 6 - 8 seconds to catch up again :p

This reminds me I've not played Legion yet in 6.1.0

So far it has been Blight, Bubba, Clown, Doctor, Huntress, Hag, Nurse Trapper.

Now I need to try, thanks for the suggestion. I'm guessing Thanatophobia is still good, given he tends to have everyone hurt? 😋

yea thanatophobia is okay on legion im also gonna give him a shot i mean why have my games ruined when i can ruin other players games and have fun myself :)

Its boring to play survivor becuase no matter how good you play one bad teammate not doing gens is enough to throw the whole match on killer you dont have to rely on teammates + its easier now

Other good perks on Legion is bamboozle, monstrious shrine is not that bad anymore and it forces survivor to go for saves much quicker turning a hook state from 60 sec to 48 sec combine this with scourge hook pain resonance and you're set

One more thing clown didnt get any changes right? i love him but he is underwhelming to play but very fun!

  • Well even when i pounce and lose victor to a dead hard user it isnt that bad like whatever i lose 20 sec but you can always make it up... NOED is a real big crutch perk it rewards you for not winning by giving you a 2nd chance to atleast somewhat have chance at coming back or securing a kill or 2 (keep in mind that NOED isnt good or strong but its a crutch perk since you have to perfrom bad to even get it to activate)

I do appreciate the dead hard update but it wasnt that bad we have seen worse (boil over buff, old DS was a crutch perk, old enduring 75% + reduced perk stuns by 20%,Old mettle of man, old OOO, haha old selfcare we will make it combo like a 4 sec heal, Old undying, CoH )

    19. Executioner 4K at 2 gens left with 8 hooks

    20. Legion 1K with 8 hooks I let last 3 escape

So I averaged 2,85 kills, 8,8 hooks per game and on average 3,35 gens get done but I could done better if I didn't let some survivors escape. How other killers games have went?

haha my Survivors matches the past 7

1 dead at 3 gens (long looping yet no gens didnt get unhooked until 2nd)

2 dead at 1 gen normal match (we had 1 bad survivors but whatever)

3 dead at 3 gens (hook camper and my teammates didnt do gens instead they tried to save the hook camped guy so we all lost)

    4 dead at 1 gen

5 "dead" at 2gens (got hatch becuase killer thought that i was the only good player)

6 dead at endgame (normal game)

7 Dead at 3 gens (did a really long loop at the start no gens popped didnt get rescued until 2nd hook stage and he wasnt camping so i got unhooked basement hit and he didnt take a hit so i died)

    Killer (only played 4 matches)

4k endgame (troll build) - Clown

    3k 1dc 2 gens - Twins

    2k 2 escapes - Clown

    4k at 4 gens - Nurse

  • How was old Dead Hard a crutch perk? its a worse sprintburst, easier to bait out and you knew everyone had it so its 1 perk slot wasted

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

How do you define a crutch?

I've seen a few popular definitions.

    1. Something that lets you play above your skill level and gives you rewards you didn't work for.

Now, far be it from me to ask how you can arbitrarily define someone's skill level and how much they do or don't deserve a perk's rewards. But isn't this what literally every perk does? Adds rewards for things you're already doing? At what point do you suddenly stop deserving the rewards, and who's the judge?

    2. Something that helps in literally any tangible way.

An opinion I'm sure we've all come across a couple times. Even if it doesn't make sense. Especially if it doesn't make sense. Flip flop? Crutch. Third seal? Crutch. If you can't play perkless, why are you even playing?

    3. Something that's annoying ME at the particular moment.

This one's an interesting one. While what annoys people is usually something strong and you'll hear the same old perks being yelled about, the quiet seethes against weaker perks does make itself known sometimes. To moderate confusion.

    4. Whatever I can say you're mad about losing so I can ignore whatever you say.

This one's gotten popular the past few days. Schadenfreude is apparently a good community building exercise.

As for my personal opinion about what a crutch is, I'd have to say a crutch is Jesus Christ shut up and let people use good perks without shaming them to salvage your brittle ego.

for me a crutch perk is NOED you dont need to do anything to get it besides not being to good... BUT its important to keep in mind that crutch perks doesnt have to be good (my opinion) I've seen killers get 2 3 kills when they should have had 0 not even close to 1 just because the survivors cant find the totem...

    (you know what I mean)

DH isnt a problem i havent had any problem with it on netiher blight, nurse, twins or pyramidhead i mean it is what it is i agree that it isnt fun to play against but it wasnt a problem

When the game first released nurse wasnt in the original 3 killers. And because one killer was overpowered wouldnt mean it wasnt survivor sided.

Yea i know that but she came out like 2 months after the release so in a way your right but depends on what you mean with release... I know dbd was survivor sided you could infi loop shack...

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3029670#Comment_3029670

in the world you are describing 2 gens pop while the 1st Survivor presses W and you chase him by the time it´s hooked. In your ideal Survivor world you can loop a tree or a random rock forever and then go from pallet to pallet without even having to reason about it.

Fact is, there is no such thing as tunneling, your goal as Killer is to kill 4 people in the match and the order does not matter.

Tunneling know in the community is where a killer goes out of their way to kill one survivors... Even if teammates body blocks or takes downs for you... Your literally saying that looping is unhealthy for the game... ITS THE FU****G INTENDED WAY!!!!!!! Tunneling isn't really intended and therefore survivors are given perks to prevent tunneling becuase well if you tunnel someone its a guaranteed win unless your new to the game like you can literally get someone out 3 minutes into the game then you have 2 or 0 people working on gens... Never said tunneling was wrong all i said is that ITS NOT INTENDED... No matter where you look there are NO PERKS NO POWERS that suggests you to tunnel someone out... There are even perks on both killer and survivor that favours not tunneling... You need to wash your eyes and read the damn comment instead of making up hocus pocus things...

Tunneling is a thing, camping is a thing genrushing is not a thing if you ask me... or well kinda depends if everyone brings BNP, overzealous, prove thyself, resilience and other gen perks i can meet you in the middle and call that gen rushing but doing gens is not genrushing... Same as downing someone twice in a row isnt tunneling...

But sure give me 3 reasons why looping is unhealthy and should be removed this would make you have to hold W instead which you said i wanted for some reason when you literally want to remove the only thing survivors can do to avoid the killer xd

  • @TheLastHook said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3027553#Comment_3027553

"Maybe because tunneling is unhealthy for the game while looping isn't?"

    hahahhahahahahahahahaha

tunneling is unhealthy i mean sure its a strategy but you have perks that make it so you dont have to tunnel to be viable... infact you have perks that discourage tunneling and camping on both sides... How is looping unhealthy? like thats what your suppose to do as a survivor but sure you hate dbd i guess probably wants the game to die out(its a joke dont get mad)... So in your perfect world a good survivors holds W on a flat and long line while the killer does the same ;)

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/331216/why-not-remove-grab-survivors-at-the-hook

Grabs are a fun game mechanic and punishes people for going for risky unhooks which you ideally should not do.

Punishes the players for unhooking against campers that arent bubba*

And theres already a perk to shield survivors off hook, its called borrowed time but thats not stopping the devs.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3027450#Comment_3027450

Did I say that it would? This would definitely help more than giving all survivors borrowed time and off the record buff

But BT doesnt save you from hook camping does it? It saves you from getting inta downed it doenst even save you from tunneling rofl

  • @HexPleaseLetMeSpeak said:

At this point they need a full rework. Mending is boring for survivors but at the same time, playing what is probably the most M1 killer in the game is also boring for killers. You can injure people super easily, hell pretty much for free, but downing them is a whole different story. With literally no power to help in chase (in terms of downing power), no anti loop, and not even like they're short like Sadako to mindgame. There's just nothing there.

If someone believes another killer is weak about it I would love to hear about it, because IMO literally every other killer in the game has either anti loop or SOMETHING that helps them get downs. Legion is genuinely nothing.

He injures people but then... what next? After using frenzy and injuring everyone, you're just a hard M1 killer with nothing to show for all those frenzy hits.

true i almost DC against him everymatch because its 10 minutes of pain with mending being 6 out of those 10 minutes and its a guaranteed win its not fun at all... His power is ######### and the mechanic is super boring...

  • I mean you can be good against a nurse but there is only so much you can do against a good nurse you kinda rely on them making mistakes... Like sure you can brake line of sight but thats about it, the rest is on the nurse. Yes there are minimal things you can do to improve and get better and it kinda works kinda doesn't.... Nurse is still a strong killer but these people who cry about nurse should have played against her when she had no blink cooldown

  • @Brimp said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3028612#Comment_3028612

So infinites with old BNPs and 200 charge toolboxes with no nurse in the game wasnt survivor sided? Alright now I know thats bait. Just because people didnt know how to play back then which is a false statement of its own doesn't mean the game wasnt survivor sided. Also because theres videos of people acting super cocky because they knew they were untouchable.

you do know that nurse didnt have blink cooldowns back in the days right? and wdym with no nurse?

  • @toxik_survivor said:

I sure do miss the good ol days. There was something about old dbd that made the game more scary. People actually played the game as intended (stealth) and the animations showed fear, the visuals were spooky (blurriness when you look in the distance), thick fog, better auras (a little darker and outlined in black), old running, always fast vaulting, and throwing down pallets at light speed, facing a billy every game, legacy, taking 2 years to get through 1 bloodweb, the lanterns in lunar new year event, the first Halloween event, double pallets at every tile and the extra audio. You guys remeber those eery noises of screaming in the background? And all the differnt music tracks. There would be a specific sound track for whatever state you are in (healthy, injured, downed, hooked, chased, exit gates are powered, stealth). I sure do miss monto and his old dbd yt vids aswell.

There was always something about old dbd that is so much better than today's, the good and the bad, heck nurse had 7 blinks when she came out and huntress hatchet hit boxes were 50 meters wide and those "negatives" created positives for me, memories to look back on and it makes me wanna be back in the good ol days of dbd.

Don't get me wrong dbd now is still great, but it's not horror anymore and hasn't been since outfits and clown release came into the game, now it's a very controversial killer vs survivor battle, toxicity, super sweat and never ending complaints which gets old after a while.

I just wanna kick back relax, put on my urban evasion and self care (urban- which was meta for like 2 years after release ) and get scared out of my pants when I hear a heart beat. And I didn't mention the moonlight offerings. Those were crazy, but awsome

I would love if bhvr made past game versions available to play, it's probably impossible but i would buy them for 20 bucks each if they came out.

Most of us vets all sot down ready to play today's dbd and just have flashbacks and real good memories of old dbd, and we miss it, we miss it so much.

yea old was fun with stretched res even but i dont really care about that, the thing im missing is old movement and the textures they hit different fr

I get it, using all the advantages you can get. not blaming the macro hags for it.

Yea well everything for the win i guess... + they arent really using macros they are using scroll or just spamming their bind if they know your about to run into it atleast most of them. But i have started to wander if some of them use macros because some hag are lowkey 20 meters away chasing someone else with their backs against you and like 0.0001seconds after you trigger it they teleport xd

  • @Akumakaji said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3028200#Comment_3028200

See ... the obnoxious people who use flashlight clicker macros would still manually clickety click you to get your attention, but manual clicking can't trigger epileptic episodes as easy as the full on macro. At this point I honestly don't understand why its still allowed in the game; it can't be THAT an important business decision and just to keep the occasional bully squad happy, and on the other hand I can't imagine that, even with BHVRs spaghetti code that it would be that difficult to enforce a 0,5s or at least 0,25s cooldown between clicks?

That being said, I have gotten LOTS of value out of click heavy attention seekers. They basically remove themselves from the match and turn it prematurely into a 3v1 .. whats not to love about this mad lads?

Thats my point unless your epiletic they get no advantage from it :P And yes they could probably do that but since they haven't even given us an option to disable vsync ingame for the past 6 years well dont expect much!

OBS there is one negative thing with doing this if you do a flashlight save to early you can click like 1 - 3 times to delay it by some ms so you wont miss it this will be removed if they add a cooldown

I don't enjoy breaking god pallets 5 inches from eachother for 5 minutes but at least the rework made its ascetic better. Nope.

He gets vacuumed to the locked locker in 2s and 3s, even if only one is locked.

hhm interesting I havent seen anymore dredges but i might give it a ######### if this is true it actually helps a lot!

  • @Mister_xD said:

On The Game especially all you really have to do to counter it is to resort to the usual The Game gameplay and hold Shift + W while occasionally predropping one of the 50 availble god pallets whenever it gets close. Dredges anti loop is good, but only when one tries to loop the same structure against it.

Additionally, lock the lockers. Since there are a lot of them and navigating the map is rather difficult, it is extremely difficult for the Killer to remove the locks without throwing the game, while not doing it will significantly hinder it in chases / when trying to traverse the map otherwise.

As for the picture you drew, that is a rather favourable generator for the Dredge.

You should focus on repairing this generator first while you still have many ressources (in form of available hook and health states) and are capable of locking the lockers. If this generator remains as one of the last ones, you should ignore it unless you're forced to do it.

There are plenty of generators available that are significantly less favourable for Dredge, so you should focus on the difficult ones first to not risk running into a roadblock in the very end by having a bunch of very risky generators left.

Yea didnt think of doung generators close to lockers first... Now the game had a suicide so i dont even think doing the W pallet would haev saved it since my friend i played with is kinda new and the other dude didnt really do anything... Now for locking the lockers i obviously did that but it only saves you once.

Since its fairly hard to find all 7 gens on the game without spending minutes looking i literally just take the first gen i can find :p But several people said to do those gens first which makes sense but i just havent thought of it so i will give it a shot. The last part "Unless your forced to do it" As i said that was kinda what happened but im gonna prevent it from happening in the future i guess its kinda like the killer getting a good 3 gen its mostly the survivors fault ;)

    Thanks for your time!

  • @TheLastHook said:

To clarify i know how to loop him in a chase,

No you don´t, you came here to cry because you got outplayed. Git Gud.

No did you even read? It wasnt looping itself it was if i could do anything to not give him a 100% guaranteed hit if he teleported. If it was a way to see before he arrived that he was teleporting or anything... I mean i have played since 2017 but i didnt play the dredge dbd and kinda stopped until a week or two after his release since well the matches was blatant cheaters flying around the map or campers... So the quality wasnt the best... But why take your time and comment if your not even gonna bother reading the actual question and just be "mean"? Its the game you can literally W and spam drop pallets (it was a 2v1 tho since there was 1 suicide and the other dude didnt really do much)

  • @IamFran said:

But you still have plenty of unmindgamable and safe pallets on that map.

Yea but it wasnt really looping since you can just spam drop pallets (we had 1 suicide and i played with my friend who was kinda new so the odds were against us). But the thing was if the teleported to that locker it was a guaranteed hit. It was the teleport which was the focus on how to counter that when gens are so close but no pallets or vaults :) But i guess its kinda like wraith you take one guaranteed hit half of the times and you cant really do much about it other than accept it

  • @Iron_Cutlass said:

The Dredge isnt OP on The Game, quite the opposite actually, Id say it's one of his worst maps. Teleporting is super easy, that's not an issue. The issue with The Game is that if he places a Remnant for anti-loop, you can run away to another pallet super close by. The Game supports fully W-keying against him, and there isnt much he can really do in chase if you know what to do.

(EDIT: If you need advice for going against the Dredge in general, I made a forum post discussing literally every single basekit aspect about him, including counterplay with his ability. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/328033/discussing-the-new-killer-the-dredge#latest )

No i dont need help with looping him it was just that i felt like the teleport couldnt really be countered and it was basically a guaranteed hit on the gen. I hoped for a audio cue tip or something but since no one has said that i dont think there is one?. The game has tons of lockers so you can just W and spam drop pallets 2. The focus was just if there was a way to prevent the free hit!

The "OP" was half clickbait ;) Thanks for your time anyways!

  • @feechima said:

The Dredge isn't OP but he is more powerful on inside maps. There are just an obnoxious amount of lockers everywhere. But I rather face him on the Game than RPD any day. At least you can actually see the locker he may teleport to, on RPD locker's are usually out of sight, pallets are scarce or unsafe and you're liable to run into him going down a hallway. Not to mention it takes forever for you to unhook a survivor on a different level, meanwhile he just teleports in seconds.

Thanks! The OP was more for clickbait so people would actually read and respond sry for that! I didnt really think about doing gens close to lockers mainly because its kinda hard to find gens on the game but i will try it when i get back home and see if i have more success. I've only struggled against him on the game and i believe it was due to the amount of lockers... Lastly thanks for your time!

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3021997#Comment_3021997

Lock one locker. You'll have a loud audio queue and will have time to run.

Then lock the other locker (don't lock both at the same time).

Think of Dredgy like a slightly better Wraith. He tends to get easy first hits, then gets looped forever.

Yea but he can choose which locker right? and i think there are addons to see if a locker is locked but im gonna take my chances then and just lock one hoping thats the one he teleports too

  • @MrCalac123 said:

Dredge isn't OP in any scenario.

    At all.

didnt say that... first of all it was a clickbaity title to get answers .-. and the scenario which i probably didnt explain as good seeing the answers was on the game in the room with the stairs where you can vault down through a silo thingy to the big table next to the freezer... Anyways the locker is only 3 4 meters away from the gen so no matter what you do its a free hit if he teleports and if you somehow manage to get the vault there are lockers downstairs too

Its not the looping or chasing that is the problem its how to deal with teleports (same thing as when there is a gen in killer shack you have a locker 4 meters away but then you atleast have god pallet you can drop in WORST CASE SCENARIO... On this one you have nothing at all...

  • @fulltonon said:

When he drop shadow, just run away.

try not to get close to lockers, or lock lockers.

I should have posted a pic to explain it further and clarified a few things... In my case the generator was 2 - 4 meters away at max... Is there anyway to tell that he is coming before he is in the locker so i can escape in time

This is the room im talking about

    SKISSgme.png

  • @BlackRabies said:

If there's a group of lockers lock ONLY one locker, some reason Dredge teleport always prioritize the locked locker. So when that broken you can lock the other. If you just lock all of them drege will just get free lock breaks.

Also it's the Game map you have so many very safe pallets to work with.

yea but once again its my bad for not clarifying its not really the looping its more how to deal with the teleport when there are so many lockers and especially if there is a generator 4 meters away from them...

  • @TheSubstitute said:

Isn't there a black mist and sound when the Dredge teleports to a locker? Keep your camera angle pointed at the lockers unless you're in his terror radius and don't know where he is ( in that case, swivel the camera and keep checking possible ingresses)

Edit: Forgot to mention yes, there is a cooldown, but it's extremely short during Nightfall but if the Dredge teleports in out of Nightfall you at least have a few seconds before it can be done again).

mhm. My point is i dont think you understand the situation im gonna use my master drawing skills and try to explain :) (one last thing with the cooldown if its locker based im not 100% sure there are several ones ive only tested him for a few minutes in a custom game so)

keep in mind that this is a rough sketch and the locations are a little off :)

    SKISSgme.png

Its not the best drawing but i hope you know which room im talking about :) so even if i did let go of the gen as early as i could he could still get a hit on my when i took the stairs (getting to the other room isnt an option either... If i do manage to take the stairs and vault downstairs there are more lockers right under me and only one loop (+ its a fall so you suffer from a stun too) As i said working on this gen is like... I dont know how to do it safely, the only real thing i can come up with is working as far away from the locker as possible and pray that he doesnt teleport to me...

LAST NOTE!!!!! im not 100% sure BUT i think he had an addon to leave lockers faster because it felt REALLY fast

Same as you'd play against Artist, essentially. Watch him, listen for his cues, anticipate his teleports and pivot away from the lockers. He's basically an M1 killer, so use pallets.

It's a decent map for him (as Midwich is decent for Trapper and Hag and McMillan is decent for Blight) but he's not close to OP.

yea but its the teleport that is the problem there are so many lockers that he can teleport and just guarantee a hit if your on the gen since the lockers are 3 meters away and there are 2 of them

If you lock it the dredge last a few secs to leave. You can hear which locker is opening and run on the other direction.I thinl your problem may be the headset or sound.

no you dont get what i mean i locked the locker he came in destoryed the other lockers lock 2 then those 2 lockers are free for the whole match and he can just insta hit anyone on that gen for the rest of the game otehr rooms have 5 6 lockers even if you lock all of them it takes him 10 sec to break ALL LOCKS if you dont break them he can tp to the other ones its an absurd amount of lockers on the game there are several lockers in EVERY ROOM most of the times its more than 2 lockers its almsot 4 or 6

  • once again i think u misunderstood im talking about perks to help them... i run meta perks and well that game should have been a win since i lope for a few minutes but whatever

    Try holding W.

yea but i dont struggle with looping i looped him for prob 5 gens yet almost none popped... Its my teamamtes who doesnt run DS and die instantly after the unhook even if you run bt and unhook somewhat far awya from the killer i need perks to HELP THEM!!!

  • yea i locked them but the lockers are 4 meters away from the gen there is nothing i can do besides sit as furthest away as possible

Not a problem, it looks like the others answered you while I was typing. I’m sure you’ve seen the Dev Notes on this, but juuuuuust in case, here’s the link to all the info.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/337

yea i did read that but it wasnt clear to me if you would still be able to upgrade them in the bloodweb or if they were JUST PRESTIGE based :) but yea i got my question answered, thanks for your time anyways!

No need to worry! Here’s a quote from the Dev Notes yesterday under the heading Transitioning to the New System.

”When the system releases, we’ll be automatically awarding existing players an appropriate number of prestige levels based on how many perk tiers they’ve unlocked. If you’ve left all your characters at level 50 and focused on unlocking perks, your work won’t be for nothing.

It's also important that you don’t lose anything when the system is updated. You will keep any perks and bloody prestige cosmetics that you’ve already unlocked. “

In other words, you don’t have to restart your Nea and Dwight. They’ll still have everything that they currently have. If you don’t need perks from other survivors, then just ignore them and focus on these two. Put your money into items and add-ons. Prestige them for skins/charms or just a higher number to show off on the results screen if you want to. There’s no downside, so you might as well.

This big part is when a new survivor comes out. Prestige the new person once, and your Dwight and Nea (and all others) will automatically get those 3 new perks! Then you have a choice - prestige the new person 2 more times to give everyone the perks at tier 3, OR just go back to Dwight and Nea and get the new perks to tier 3 by going through a few bloodwebs on each of them (like we currently do now).

Yea someone else said it too :) Thanks for the response anyways! was a little worried this would FORCE you to prestige to get tier 3 since i couldnt find any information... But its fine then!

You lose nothing with the update. You keep all perks you already have. You will still keep the perks you already have. Nothing changes there.

Prestige 1 unlocks tier 1 of the characters perks for free. You may still buy tier 2 and 3 in the web.

Prestige 2 unlocks tier 2 of the perks for free. You may still buy tier 3

Prestige 3 unlocks tier 3 of the perks for free. No need to buy anything.

THANK GOD!!! I was so worried that this might be the day i quit dbd... I do know how it unlocked it for everyone but i wanst sure if you could STILL find it in the bloodweb. Thanks for clarifying it :)

You're ignoring the huge buff to Overcharge and the small buff to gen-kicking in general. The whole point of the update is to make so you don't have to rely on the current meta perks. You can also end changes faster and apply more pressure thanks to the weapon swipe and pallet-break buffs.

didnt see overcharge but on the other hand people almost always tap gens a few sec after they kick it so that doesnt matter... I dont like the killer buffs tho like they litterally nerfed everything on survivor besides buffing coh healing meta... guess thats what the devs want tho... pre dropping and healing speed builds :p

  • @Fantasy said:

Have they been revealed? You mean the charms?

probably not charms if oyur lucky its 50 000 bp since thats an appropriate reward for login during an event where its almost always 500% bp due to the flans i think we arent that lucky to get a charm

  • @VonCrow said:

Quite satisfying to see that they confirmed what Killers were saying: gens are too fast.

Now gens take 90 seconds instead of 80.

Gen rush was a thing, and they were aware of it which is nice specially against those "apply pressure" claims.

Can't wait to play the new meta.

gen rushing wasnt a thing and gen speeds are buffed not nerfed xd while they sure added 10 sec more they made ruin half as effective and pop much less effective so gen regression will be much slower thus leading to no difference in my opinon, if anything gens speeds are being buffed as a survivor...

Why u are doing it ? Are u so scared of Lightborn a Meme Perk? Or do u want to be toxic because alot Players who Pick flashlights want to Troll the Killer?

Everytime i See a Survivor Switching to a flashlight in the final Second i dc before the Match Start because im pretty Sure the Survivor want to be toxic and do clicky clicky .... i mean if u dont want to be toxic or ur are Scared of Lightborn Why do u Switch in the final Second?

dear killer why do you run noed? are you scared that you cant get 12 hooks before endgame?...

Listen why do you even care? they think they are cool when they can moonwalk and click their flashlights... What they dont know is that 99.9% og all players doesnt care at all and the reason most people cant moonwalk is because they dont want to learn it. Its not hard to do, they are not cool when they click their flashlights they are not toxic either... Let them do theirs both sides can be dicks if they want too. I mean i play both killer and survivor i'd rather have a 4 swf with flashlights than a noed killer.

At the end of the day they still have to be somewhat decent at the game, if they click their flashlight and you down them 2 sec after i mean thats embarrassing + why do you assume that they will click and tbag you? I quick switch my items (medkits everything) so the killer doesnt run franklins...

There are worse things than flashlights there are crutch perks like unrelenting, noed, dead hard(kinda), DS(kinda)... While calling them crutch perks might be a little to much they are still perks that lets you almost nullify mistakes... I mean i've had games where i lopo for 5 gens and the killer runs noed and i end up dying just because of that... In a worst case scenario just IGNORE THEM!!! When i see a survivor that tries to get looped and clicks i ignore them. Its fun because they keep following me so i can chase 1 survivor while he is trying to get me to chase him so the match is basically a 1v3 because of him trying to show off and be "cool" or whatever :)

  • @MilManson said:

And you expect the killers to use flans to benefit you and not tunnel you?

I guess survivors don't want the blood points so off to Bubba to face camp someone again and ruin some days.

which killer? try running deadlock, deadmans switch + something to force them off gens...

Last thing dont think about 5 gens the game is basically 3 gens. Most of the matches if your going against somewaht decent survivors 2 gens will pop before or like directly after your first hook (unless you get areallygood start). Nowwhile its hard to prevent that you could try running perks that gives you more time at the end like no way out?

  • @ShyPirate said:

No, there's no secret perk combo that prevents the collection of event rewards.

It's possible you got a mask but didn't get the notification, or that you did and missed it since it goes by fast.

Also possible it's a bug. But as long as you collected the invitation before the endgame and then survived until a gate was opened you should have received a mask.

I wanst talking about the perk combo itself. I ran normal perks what i mean is that maybe they added something so you cant hide and just get the mask and then keep hiding. The perk thing was just an example of what you could do and if it was there to prevent it.

I did go through all the masks 3 times (killer and survivor) i hadn't gotten any new masks nor did my friend in discord see a new mask.

I just watched JRMs vid and on one part someone in his chat said that you needed to do gens and stuff to get it (after getting the invitation ofc) and since i was hook camped all game i couldnt do gens etc. So i just thought that it maybe was a logical reason :)

And as i said i got it at the start of the game and escaped so i should have gotten it, Im just gonna assume it was a bug then, Thanks for your time anyways!
